461  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of Crisis and uncertanities toilet paper can be new currency on: January 20, 2024, 04:24:39 AM
Not to joke around or anything, but I do believe that when the fiat world, or economy becomes destabilized, "items" could be used for barter, it is not really a lie. During the pandemic it was sort of tried, like people wanted to get as much as toilet papers and sanitizers and so forth, to make sure that they are stacked, and some even wanted to buy so they can resell at higher value later on.

However, that did not work, because factories were still churning out items and had plenty more at storages as well, so it never really ran out, it did ran out of stores, but it never ran out from the market, when you bought the whole lot from one store, the next day they restocked it. So the idea has been tested even recently.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 19, 2024, 03:24:55 AM
Arsenal getting Benzema would help them tremendously. I mean he doesn't have to play every single game, but he would be there for the team when they need to. Right now, Jesus is their only "pure" striker, they can make a few other players play there if they need to, but as a pure striker Jesus is the only one.

Getting Benzema to play at times would be insanely well for them, they do not even need him to play all games, they just need him to be at the bench, sub in like after 70 and maybe he will do something, fresh legs and all. Dude may look old, but it was just a few years ago when he won the ballon d'or award, that is not an easy feat, not many players have done it in the past 20 years, so to win one is definitely a great achievement so he is still very good.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 19, 2024, 02:49:23 AM
It is not, you may think that you could make a lot of money, and some people who do invest into meme projects "may" end up making some money, it has happened before but they are much more volatile, they go down 90%+ and some even went down 99% as well during this period.

Plus, the known ones are decent to a point, they are still worse than most other coins, but at the same time there are SOOOO many unknown ones, small timers, ones with less than 20 million dollar marketcap, and just because they are memes, people want to invest into them, it is not going to happen. All those doges, shibas, pepes, apes, they are all going to be worth nothing eventually, even though they may worth some a bit, they won't worth much later on.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 19, 2024, 02:29:22 AM
Bitcoin ETF is not approved yet, so we can't say that it is ETH next, BUT if you ask me, it feels like that would be a lot harder. Because satoshi is not around, so whoever built bitcoin can't be found, it's truly decentralized and nobody is doing anything about it.

Whereas, ETH foundation is right there, and Vitalik is a public figure of it, which means that it's not fully decentralized, I mean not that they can control it fully, we have to agree, but look at how easy it was for them to go from PoW to PoS, we all agreed for them to do that, but they were the ones who did it, they promoted it so much that we expected that to make us rich, and we all agreed to it. That may not feel like centralization, but it's not fully decentralized neither.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 18, 2024, 06:35:31 PM
Just some waiting around to be fair, nothing major. I understand that it may not feel that way at times, but right now it does feel that way. I think it's clear that we are not going to end up with a huge deal anytime soon so waiting is all I can do. Accumulating more bitcoin for the future, so that I could make a lot more profit is another option but at this exact moment I do not have much cash to buy bitcoin with, so I am postponing that a bit, trying to hope for some more money so I can pay my debts and get more bitcoin.

Life has been quite hard for me at the second half of 2023, unfortunately things are not nice, but in 2024 I got some good news, so I am expecting myself to be debt free and fully in bitcoin by this summer if all goes well and nothing bad happens again.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 18, 2024, 05:12:24 PM
Nobody in the league will catch up to PSG, the league is already over, to be fair it was over even before the season started but there were some discussions about Mbappe not playing and having trouble and all that. When that was over and he started to play ,the locker room dangers and troubles  of the club was over and they became great again. This league will continue to be dominated by them, thank god that Lille won once in the middle, or we would have probably something longer than what Bayern has done.

I believe that they are going to end up with PSG just getting titles and titles for many years, ligue one needs some other rich person to buy some club, otherwise it is not going to really work out well for them, it will not be a good result.
467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best indicators for following trend in cryptotrading? on: January 18, 2024, 04:48:04 PM
There is a difference between trend trading and trading the trend. You might feel confused about that statement, but trend trading is doing whatever you think is the trend, and going in beforehand, trying to catch trends, whereas trading the trend means you wait it out, you wait until it becomes a trend, like give it some time.

Imagine this, let's remember the DeFi period, all those uniswap and pancakeswap periods, all they had tokens, if you joined all the way from the release, like first days, then you trend trade, if you waited a month or two and joined, you are trading the trend. I would say trade the trend and do not trend trade, that is important. If you jump into everything you see, then you are not going to end up getting good results.
468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 18, 2024, 05:37:01 AM
Learning how to be a professional trader, is like trying to do something fun, for example lets assume that ever since you are a kid, you liked dancing, so you want to be a dancer, when you see people on the stage you see them dancing amazingly, and it does look fun, I have to admit it does look very fun when it all hits together and everyone dances every step correctly.

However, nobody tells you about the countless hours and hours of practice, not just for that one dance, because they do dance over hundred hours in practice for that routine, but that's just for that one dance, they dance thousand and thousands of hours until their feet bleed many days and they can't stand anymore, to become that good. That's just one example, but that is also how you become a professional trader too, may look good, but it bleeds until you are that good.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: January 18, 2024, 03:05:21 AM
We are talking about arguably the two best players in the history of football, driving each other to mental levels. I mean you can call out each other if you are not the fan of the other, but the people with objective eyes can tell you that it doesn't matter if Ronaldo is better or Messi is better, it is not the point, the point is that, no matter which one is number one, those two are the top two in the history of this sport and played relatively during the same period as well, and for along time even in the same league as well.

So, it is clear that we are talking about watching Gods of football, basically playing at their retirement clubs for one last time, no matter how long, I do not think that they will change clubs after this, it is going to be just retirement for them.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 17, 2024, 06:59:03 PM
The best one we have here is signature campaigns, someone who could find work here for a few years and put it all on bitcoin could make a lot of money, life changing amount of money, you could make like 300 dollars a month from it, meaning it is a lot of money in the end.

You could also go with bounties and airdrops and all that, not all makes money, in fact majority of them loses money, but if you could make just a few hundred a year from it, it is still a good thing, some make even thousands a year from it, because they join hundreds of them, all they can. Then you have crypto jobs, which are jobs only related to crypto world, like having some call channel, or being a mod on telegram, or anything like that, you can get paid for that too.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: girl math vs boy math on: January 17, 2024, 06:24:33 PM
I do feel like there is a stigma and feeling of the "n-word" in this topic. When women talk about girl math, they are making a joke together, they are women and they can joke about it, just like the n-word where people could make that joke or say that word if they belong to that group, but if you are as white as a hospital wall, then I am sorry but it is racist to use that word, it would be considered racist, you may agree or disagree on this arrangement but that is how it is, same with this girl math thing.

Women can go around and talk about girl math and joke about it, because they are women, and they are doing it ironically and they are joking, but when we men do it, it's not nice, it's like we are mocking them, and could be considered sexist, we need to be careful about it.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin's Financial Advice on: January 17, 2024, 04:12:31 PM
I feel like the fact that he talks about the boring part, is the most important part. All those people who invest into some unknown and small number of things that needs to change, they are doing it for like some insane x100 return or something, they want to get rich with just a few investments but the reality is that you are not going to get rich like that, it will not work that way no matter how much you try.

So, the best thing you could do at this point would be just making sure that you do your best. I personally do as boring as it gets, in fact, I had long periods of my life where I invested only into bitcoin and nothing else, Vitalik may not enjoy that Cheesy lol, but it is as boring as it gets, and yet it is very healthy move.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: January 17, 2024, 05:50:10 AM
I do not know what happened or why players are changing so much, but I was very anxious last night, I bet on Fenerbahce and Galatasaray every week in a parlay, that's just it, I do not gamble anything else for Turkish league, I do not really care, and couple weeks ago they played against each other so I did not gamble there, but aside from that I try to end up gambling both of them to win in a single parlay every week.

Most of the weeks I do end up winning, there are few weeks that I may end up losing, but aside from that we should be considering the situation to be a little different. I saw the goal came in very late, and I feel like it has to be something that needs to be considered a little different and that was the issue, finally they scored and I got my win this week too.
474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 17, 2024, 05:10:32 AM
I always said that we may go with any level of leverage but purely proportional to our risk-reward ratio, which means higher leverage is all that bad neither. Basically by 2x leverage, you are doubling your losses and income depending if you are right or not. I do not think that it would be easy to get liquidated if you do double when you have calculated position according to your available funds, you would probably get out a lot earlier and not really let it be like that. However, at the end of the day, we are talking about a situation that would be understandable, it is not a big deal so it wouldn't be too much of a risk.

I hope that 2x would gain traction too, not that 100x stuff, those are insane people who use it that much, that would mean that if you are wrong even for a slight second, all your money would be gone, that's insane. I agree with 2x, I would be fine with 5x but I wouldn't even approve 10x, even that is being commonly available in most exchanges these days.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 17, 2024, 04:41:44 AM
"My luck is about to turn, I can feel it" is as old as time. In fact, in roman empire times people played dice games, and that meant that they literally carved things out of bone to make dice and gamble, and even then there were a lot of people with gambling debt.

I did not know it went that back, but I learned it, and that really makes it sound like it is going to be something that has to change for the long term. I know that it is not going to be easy, and I know that it is going to be tough, but it is just the reality we are living in, we will always have those people. If people had gambling debts even in roman times, and after two thousand years we still have those people then how can you really consider that as a way of getting better.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 07:49:22 PM
Rarely, I mean when something major happens I do pay attention to it, not that it really impacts the way I gamble, it doesn't really matter to me, but as long as there is something major, I do try to look at it and feel happy about the guy and try to imagine what would I do if it happened to me.

The other day there was a guy who bet 50 bucks and earned 42 million! dollars, that is insane amount of money, 42 million dollars is the type of money that puts you in the richest 1% of the whole world, it's insane to think about having that much money. Did it change the way I gamble? It did not, I always gamble the same way and I did so after that too, but I can't deny that I didn't day dream about having that kind of money one day, it would be something surreal even when you see the money itself.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 16, 2024, 06:39:24 PM
Honestly, that's two draws in the last 5 games for Girona, and could be start of their troubles. What people do not understand is that you can make a player have 5 games in 10 days, but if it's at the start part of the season that's fine, there is no accumulated tired situation, they are just getting started and if you rest him a few weeks after that before he comes back, that seems to be the fine situation.

I believe that we are going to end up with Girona players getting tired, the accumulated amount of times they have played seems to be a lot and that seems like the most common situation they have right now. With that being said, I believe that they are going to have some trouble if they are not careful about it neither.
478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is selling? Fractonal CEX on: January 16, 2024, 05:26:22 PM
It is true that holding is really a way of understanding why there are less selling going on. I mean bull run is coming up, that has to be something that needs to be worked on, it is really a very big deal if you know what you are doing, it is really a big deal. I know that it is not going to be all that simple, but it should be pointed out on how to do that, it is really a big deal. I know that it is not going to be all that easy, but holding is the most important thing.

Yes, we all need money sometimes, but most major companies with billions do not need cash that much, so they are willing to hold it a long more time. I think they are the main reason why there are not that many sales going around, not in a bulk manner at the very least.
479  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 16, 2024, 05:40:33 AM
I believe that we are not going to end up with financial accountability all that easily because most people feel like they are missing life when they do that. I understand the "concept" of it, living bigger than your income, it is something way too common and the main reason for the high debt we have in all people, because people do not want to just live the life they can live without making a debt, that is much worse, life that you can get with a bigger debt amount is better, and that is why we are doing worse.

But if you really want to get debt, get it for something that would make some profit for you, that would be a lot better for you in the end. I hope that we could do something that may end up with a much better return eventually and learn it.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 16, 2024, 03:58:51 AM
Such a good thinking, I applaud OP for this writing up, because we all think about it but not everyone says it. It is true that it is quite easy to make money in the crypto world, I have seen plenty of people who made money in the crypto world before as well and this isn't really that shocking, it should feel like something that has to be a bit different.

I think the point here is that a lot of people could make a profit, but then we need to end up with a lot better results on the long run, like keep earning that money and most don't, most people just end up with a loss. I think we should consider the point of this thinking that we need to figure out a more long term income method that way we could do better eventually.
