1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 08, 2023, 05:38:23 PM
It should be based on performance really, if you are rich, then you can retire at whatever age you want, like Mark Zuckerberg had the IPO and had billions of dollars at that point, he was less than 30 years old, he could have retired easily and just had fun, that's a type of retirement too. And some person may retire at 70 and still have huge debts and not survive and have financial trouble, that guy retired as well. Are those two the same? Obviously not, they are nowhere near the same.

This is why the 62 or 64 discussion worths nothing, it all depends on the performance, governments job is to make sure that elderly could live a life where they do not have to worry about shelter, food, clothes, health and so forth, basic needs, after that, whatever their age, if you can provide that, then rest should be up to them.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: May 08, 2023, 09:15:10 AM
I still can't forget the time I had a x700+ odd bet, with bunch of games, bunch of unlikely games as well, and then I ended up losing Bayern-Hoffenheim game where they tied. That's just not really that cool, that's really a terrible job and should be doing a lot better by Bayern and can't believe that I missed out like a whole vacation worth of winning on a single game and that was Bayern having a draw with freckling Hoffenheim.

That's such a terrible loss, I still can't forget it, it was such a damn job. In the end it all happens, we just need to remember that we could have lost with 10 games, we could lose just one game, it's all a loss and nothing is different and should move on. Otherwise we are not going to end up carrying forward if we keep stuck with the loss we had and how close it was, so we gotta ignore those.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 08, 2023, 08:36:45 AM
I still cannot believe that Lakers got such an easy win but the really nice thing about the game is that Lebron had no field goal attempts at all at first quarter and he still ended up with 20+ points (8 rebounds and 8 assists to go with) to show that Lakers is good even without him scoring a bunch, dude could just play good defense and pass the ball and they can still win. It was always obvious that Warriors had absolutely no answer at all to AD and that showed once again.

This series is not over yet, it's only 2-1 and we can see some changes, I am sure Kerr is working overtime to get the win, can't say how or when or what kind of solution he would bring in, but he will make some changes to just end up leveling the playing field, otherwise Lakers would get it 4-1 easily.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: May 07, 2023, 06:19:53 PM
Whenever a president is running for reelection, there is nearly nobody that is fighting against them, because people know that there is no chance that they could win, so instead they focus on what they could do later on. The real trick is that what's going to be the case after these two are done.

We all know that Trump will not be able to run again, this is his last one, because he would be waaaaaay too old by the time this one is over, obviously that is if he loses, if he wins then he already won't be able to. In the Biden case it's the same, if he wins then he can't, but even if he loses he will be waaaay too old to run again. So the issue here is to find who is going to be alternatives to these two when they step down, 2024 will be just these two, but 2028 is absolutely unknown so far.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Blur will overtake Opensea on: May 07, 2023, 04:12:39 PM
They are doing professional marketing that much is true, they are spending some money on marketing that is without a doubt right but the fact that they are doing proper marketing with that money and not just random spending spree, is the difference maker. They are doing marketing like they have been working in digital marketing for many long years.

However, will that be enough to pass opensea? I am not sure, I think it may take some time and would probably not really happen, it may not be that easy. I feel like we may end up with opensea at the top yet a while longer, only thing that will make the difference over course of some time could be opensea not growing anymore and staying still while blur keep growing and becoming bigger and better.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: May 07, 2023, 03:23:35 PM
LTC seems like it gets as good as any and BNB seems like a good idea as well. I know that those two are already high enough, but they had some troubles in the past that wasn't due to them but that wasn't their issue. Now that we are going into bull run, everything will pass and they will go up.

I mean they will go beyond their ATH and they are quite far enough that even reaching above ATH is good enough return, but after that it will continue to go up like other coins as well. So I highly suggest these two coins, they are old enough, liked enough, high ranked enough and they have a good reason to be bought in order to make even bigger profit than holding any of the other top ranked coins as well, should be a good decision if you ask me.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2023, 11:55:40 AM
I cannot believe that Schalke is actually out of the relegation spot officially right now. I mean doesn't mean they won't drop, they have to keep being careful that is for sure but they are out right now and that is an insane achievement. They were at 9 points when teams around them already reached 20 points, and they reached 30 points before some of them reached there, which means making 21 points before others made 10 points, and that is a huge achievement.

This team got a lot more points in the last 10-12 games then rest of the season combined, that is a huge deal without a doubt. The way this team turned it around and somehow become better is basically a fairy tale to be told and definitely deserves recognition. They ended up beating Mainz to get here, a team so many levels above them, they are really doing amazing.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: May 05, 2023, 08:33:52 PM
If it wasn't for the recent slump, Al Nasr would have been the leader right now. They lost El Hilal and they got a draw against Al Feiha, that's 5 points lost, they could have gotten 6 points and instead got 1 point total from that 2 games, and that is the reason they are not leading. They are still trailing by 3 points, there is 5 more games left but they are not looking good. They lost to Al Wehda in the cup as well which is a proof that they are just not doing that well.

I think a manager change will definitely do wonders for them, a world class manager could bring so much change to a team, they could be doing ten times better than this with literally exactly same team if they could only hire someone that has a better past and great management skills.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2023, 08:09:24 PM
Even though we are in the bitcointalk forum and most would say yes, I will have to say no. I think 50 pounds is too little to buy bitcoin with, since considering it would mostly be eaten by the transaction fees as well, from bank to exchange to trade, all will be taking some time and there is no need for that. I would highly suggest that people should be doing what they always need to do and earn more before they invest.

Get as much money as you could, and use that income to buy bitcoin. Reach to a level that is at least 200, if possible 500 is a better place to start. That is of course when you go from outside to inside of crypto. When you get paid 50 bucks in crypto, that's fine, because it's already in crypto, not fiat that needs to be turned into crypto, that's much better.
1330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use Bull Flag Chart Pattern? on: May 04, 2023, 07:05:10 PM
The best part about this is that there is a stop you pointed out. A lot of people can realize this and get into an investment, there is nothing wrong with that, finding the bull flag pattern is great and all but that can be done, it can be taught to people and there is nothing wrong with that.

However, the "stop part is the killer here, because it shows that even though you know what you are doing and you will moıst likely end up with a profit, at least have a stop point so you do not lose much, this would give you a profit, but it would also give you a benefit of the doubt, it will give you a chance not to lose too much money and that should be a great deal. I personally hope that it will do better, but if it goes south, I want to be ready for that.
1331  Economy / Economics / Re: 2023: What money lessons have you learned so far? on: May 04, 2023, 06:25:51 PM
Do not spend money that you think you could use better in the future. I have spent money that I could have invested with, but instead I spent it on silly stuff.

There was a very valid reason and I would probably do it again anyway, the reason was that I got sick, seriously sick, literally had to be in hospital for a few days level of sick, and I was fearing that I may die in a few months, turns out it wasn't that and it was something mild and I went back home and I am doing great, there is absolutely nothing wrong with me, it was just a fear until test results came in, and I am all clear and healthy as a horse. But that made me realize life is short, so I spent some money on some stuff I shouldn't, and could have put it in bitcoin instead. Oh well, lesson well learned at least.
1332  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 04, 2023, 05:46:59 PM
Unfortunately this will not be given to children when they are grow up, not in places that would be acceptable for regular kids, sure in Eton College you may see a lot of financially related classes because they are cream of the crop and they do need a financial class considering they are already rich and need to learn how to stay rich. But for regular people, like where I can send my kid to? There won't be one.

There is a simple reason for that, which is the fact that if the whole world knew how to save, and how to invest, and how to be smart with their money, we would simply cut our consumption and instead focus on having 10 bad years when we are in our 20's and retire when we are 40 without needing anything else. It's possible, it's right there, and yet nobody knows how to do it. I learned it when I was 30 and doing it now, but I am already pretty late, will finish when I am 50+ which is already close enough to real retirement age anyway.
1333  Economy / Economics / Re: Shrinkflation on: May 04, 2023, 04:36:19 PM
This is such a BS, I keep getting less and less food whenever I order food, I keep getting less and less stuff when I eat somewhere, it really doesn't feel like it's a good idea, I feel like we are doing a bad job right now and should be doing a lot better. I hope that it gets to a better point eventually but that doesn't change the fact that we are facing one of the worst situations in the recent memory with this financial situation so I understand companies trying to protect it's users as well.

I hope that it gets better eventually and we will not face these issues, but until the economy recovers, we are going to do worse. I end up getting two of the thing I want instead of one, just to eat enough, and that makes me spend even more, so it could be a trick as well.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Severe economic crisis! Go over some information here. on: May 04, 2023, 02:44:50 PM
This feels more like AI generated than anything else. But to give it a shot I would have to say that this is a tinfoil hat talk and nothing more. Obviously we are all aware that USA is doing terrible stuff, nobody denies that, but Ukraine war?

That has nothing to do with this, they can keep spending money on that because they are not sending that money to defend Ukraine, they are sending it to make Russia weaker, in the world energy resources race, if Russia spends their income on this war, and gets poorer, then USA can get back on it's feet whereas Russia will be fighting against sanctions and not be able to recover. That is how this works, spend money on Ukraine, and be richer than Russia, that is their aim currently and it has worked well so far.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: May 04, 2023, 01:52:30 PM
Everyone keeps saying that USA government is "attacking" crypto, but aside from a few words by few people, there is no legit action towards crypto as a whole. Sure they are checking into binance.us, but that is a company and you need to remember that a company is not representative of crypto as a while, they did that with USDT which was Tether company, and they did that with XRP as well which is Ripple as a company.

So, if governments start to look into crypto companies a lot more carefully, be happy about it and not sad because that is how it should be. Too many people are acting as if  that is a good or bad thing but the reality is that it should not be a big deal, it is as well as you hope for and should not be considered as a deal breaker, nothing bad will come out of hits.
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving effects, how long they will last? on: May 04, 2023, 12:48:11 PM
After halving miners can't make enough money if the price stays the same after the halving. It means that they won't mine, or they will simply sell for higher. This results with market not being flooded by cheaper prices that miners used to could profit from, and instead filled with higher prices for miners to make money from.

This makes it go up, not right away, because they have some saved aside obviously, but after a while it has to go up. This is just one part of it of course, there are a lot of other reasons too but this is a main reason for it to go up. Think about how much bitcoin is mined per day and how much money that makes, it's normal for these people to decide the market, maybe in a single day it is not, but think per month or per year, it's in billions.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 03, 2023, 07:49:20 PM
It looks like there is a bit of undecided feeling in the market. A lot of people said down, a lot of them said up. When it is like this, usually the downs win because ups can't make it go up by themselves but downs can.

It is easier to make bitcoin go down, you do not need money, the bitcoin is there already, you just have to sell it, but making it go up is higher, because the money is not there to buy that bitcoin, so it doesn't get bought up that easily, it takes time and it requires all of the market to think the same. So if up gets 90% of the votes then it will get up, but if downs get even if like 50% they would make it go down, it will not be that simple and it should not be a good deal. I hope that it will do well in the future, but this month may become more stagnant if this voting is any indicator.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Highest Record Bitcoin Transactions, What does this indicate? on: May 03, 2023, 06:16:41 PM
I don't know any of those ordinals or whatever, those are beyond me and I never been interested in it. But I am 100% sure that this increase has something to do with the fact that we were 16k just a few months ago, and now we managed to pass 30k and still close it to even today. Sure there are spikes due to some unexpected stuff, I am not saying this is all about what's going on, but at the end of day we are talking about something that is as fun as it gets with the price as well.

Plus, the world economy is going terrible so when you consider that it is not going to suffer that much, I feel like that should not really be a big deal, it feels like it can be pretty good and the following up days could continue to be this well too. I can't say if it will, but it may go break more and more records.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the ways to learn lesson in easy ways on: May 03, 2023, 04:23:26 PM
I think most of the time the best way to learn is to study and read, not "doing". Many people think that experience is the best teacher, and I agree that it has some power there is absolutely some need for experience, that is true. But if you do not study hard, then you are not going to end up with anything at all.

So first of all you need to learn from videos and stuff, just study, do not get scammed, learn what looks like a scam and what does not  from previous examples, talk with people who got scammed before, and talk with people who has never been scammed and yet be here for a long time. I am one of those people, nearly never been scammed, did once knowingly for a gamble, but I knew that anyway so I never been scammed basically, learn from these people to get better.
1340  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC broke bottom of triangle. Deep crash ahead. on: May 02, 2023, 07:23:56 PM
People always love to do FUD, it's easy way out. I support bitcoin through tick and thin and I will keep on buying if it is 15k tomorrow or 40k tomorrow and that is how bitcoin grows. If you have an undying support and love for bitcoin and if every price is the same for your support then that's fine, there is nothing to worry about and that should be fine.

I trust that there is nothing to worry about, it is important to focus on the fact that you are going to be able to actually provide something that is decent, otherwise it makes no sense. I will keep on buying because it is bitcoin, and all these triangle stuff to me are bs and not real. Just keep on buying and holding and it will go up, that is my only truth for bitcoin and nothing else.
