1461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 04:30:45 PM
Liberty means that anyone can do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting other people. Neymar didn't gamble with anyone's money, he didn't lose anyone else's money, he didn't broadcasted it so that addicted people should watch, he didn't force anyone to watch, and he didn't lose on purpose to make others feel better about their loss neither.

It was his own money, his on computer, his on webcam, his own twitch channel, if YOU end up watching him and get a bad lesson out of this, that's your fault. You can't claim its unethical just because what he did put a wrong psychological thought into your brain, that's what you did, not him. I believe he has every right to do this as he wants.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go towards DeFi primarily, possibility of centralization begins on: March 30, 2023, 09:40:11 PM
Just because money laundering happens in the crypto world, even with KYC in place, doesn't mean that it is not happening in the fiat world either. We all know that fiat world has money laundering schemes all in place, and we have seen many times in the movies how they do it, so we literally know the way it is being done as well.

Just watch breaking bad and how they used the car wash, they were basically purely rich and that's how they laundered the money, that was all fiat and all cash. Which is why I have to say that there is no world where crypto could ever be blamed for the money laundering that is happening in the crypto world, it's bound to happen eventually anyway.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 30, 2023, 09:11:54 PM
I watched the Lakers and the Bulls game, this reaves guy is creating a name for himself without a doubt, he plays important minutes and scoring very good baskets just when the team needs him to as well. Lebron is technically back but he is not as good as he used to be, not as dominant on offense at least but he is doing very well, he is taking more efficient shots at least and that's a very good improvement for the team.

I guess that they are going to be doing fine next season if they just add in a few good players, that's it, they just need a few good players and a healthy team that's it. D'lo, Reaves, Lebron, AD that's a good enough four guys, if they add a big man and a good bench player, it's enough.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance establishes another regional hub in Europe amid US spat on: March 30, 2023, 08:21:52 PM
I am not entirely sure what Georgians call themselves, but that doesn't really look like Europe, does it? I mean technically speaking they are in Asia, that's for sure, when you talk about the map parts, they are in Asia, there is no argument about that at all. But looking at UEFA euro cup for example, Georgia is in euro too, and I guess in some situations they are considered European or something?

I don't really know, I just know it is not close to mainland Europe that's all I know, and geographically they are in Asia without a doubt, maybe their nation is considered European citizens or something, I wouldn't know, but it is not a hub in the middle of Europe like Germany or something, so nothing to be hyped about.
1465  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and others urge AI pause, citing 'risks to society' on: March 30, 2023, 07:44:04 PM
I still can't believe that AI would be considered such a big deal when in fact the other side is getting more work as well. Meaning, when AI is getting bigger, things that realizes what is AI and what is not is also getting more attention as well.

Just to give two examples, one is the fact that if students wants to write their school homework with an AI, then there are websites that uses detection programs to detect if an AI wrote it or not (not really that hard to figure out) and secondly, if a video is made by an AI, then there are detection software that also figures that one out as well. All in all I would guess that there is no need for any of this at all.
1466  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: March 30, 2023, 06:21:39 PM
Poor people have hard time living, and they are barely able to buy things that rich do not even care about when buying. Just to give an example, buying the latest iphone is a stupid move for a poor person, why would you spend that much money on a brand new phone, there are a lot cheaper options, right?

But buying 10 brand new iphones would not even move a dent in a rich persons wallet, they do it, they live like that, they buy a new phone every time the old ones memory ends, instead of deleting photos, they buy a new one, they are that rich. So, it is normal that rich people only get a loan for smart stuff, but poor people have to get for bad stuff as well, it's normal.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 30, 2023, 05:41:51 AM
I still can't believe that it happened, that's the weird part. And not like anyone is visiting Qatar or think highly of them because of the world cup neither. They overspent for it, and they are not going to get anything back from it neither, it is not going to be good at all. I feel like it is going to be something that they will regret for a long time.

In fact, I am pretty sure that they had more bad light on them because of the world cup than good, and they will be hated a long time because they basically stole the world cup from these teams in the end. I think a smaller balkan nation would have been even better, hotels, stadiums, all of that is ready in most those nations.
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 30, 2023, 05:11:38 AM
Formula 1 obviously. That is the thing I follow the most and I am very fond of, and it is one that you could easily bet on as well. Not really that common for people to wager on it a lot, considering even the biggest events there do not get too much betting, and the fact that Max is ahead of everyone most of the time, people just do not see the point, either you bet on Max to win and get a bad return not worthy of a bet, or you lose if Max loses, or you risk a lot by betting on someone else which very rarely ever happens.

However, it's good because I like watching it, and having a bet on it makes watching it a lot better, just like most other sports.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 29, 2023, 05:39:29 PM
I think Zidane has clearly stated that he wanted a rest, being able to win 3 UCL in a row is a big deal and he feels like if he retires right now, he could stay as someone who has been great when he was a manager and done, not an all time great obviously because of longevity issue, but great when he did.

However, if he comes back, and he starts to lose, which he will lose eventually, even if he manages to win one with PSG, that won't be a single season and he won't leave, which will cause a lot of drop on his amazing short period. He probably doesn't want to give that up and that is why he is not doing it, after all why would he manage PSG and lose? What would he gain by that?
1470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few questions regarding the DCAing BTC. on: March 29, 2023, 05:04:59 PM
What I do is not really considered DCA, because that is dollar cost averaging and if you want to do a better version of it then you should buy when it is going down and not going up. However, I support buying when it is going up as well. Because I believe that it is going to be as good as it gets in the future and even when it goes up today, it will go up a lot more in the future.

This is why I am fine about buying when it is 10k, and fine about buying when it is 100k, both are fine for me and I will do that, there is nothing wrong about that for me. I believe that we shouldn't be worried about it and just keep on buying as much as possible.
1471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective Approaches to Trading Cryptocurrencies for Profit on: March 28, 2023, 09:32:32 PM
These are obvious stuff but sometimes obvious stuff are not that easy. Imagine this for a second, if you see a very fat person, and I mean like barely able to walk type of person, someone who is 200kg+ or something, that guy is barely walking right? What would you suggest him? Do a diet, walk 30 minutes a day, and drink a lot of water, right?

That's the most common thing and there is no person on the world who would drink water, walk 30 minutes and do a diet that can't lose weight, everyone can. Then why do we have fat people? I am fat myself and I can tell this, we have them because it's not as easy as saying "do this", it's hard to do it for some people. Same with these suggestions.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 28, 2023, 09:14:02 PM
Having an understanding how the league works and understanding that rest is crucial for playoff success is an important part of a coaches job. I understand that Sixers may want to rest some players, and there are other teams who started to ease some of the players off and give them either rest days or even give them less minutes so they can rest, and instead focus on player development of their young players just in case.

However, this is not an option at west, as we all know the west is closer than even from nearly 6th to 11th place, and that is why most teams there are still playing everyone all the time, it's the top teams that are taking some rest days and nobody else.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: March 28, 2023, 09:05:31 PM
I don't know if that is the intention or not, but I feel like these type of people are out there to get some attention while making Shiba look worse. If their entire point is to make shiba better, they are not helping it become better but more like causing it to be worse.

If I see someone that says god told them it will go up, I would sell instead of buy more because I wouldn't want to be part of a community that has these type of crazy people. But on the other hand I am heavily invested into bitcoin and if she said bitcoin will be a million dollars, god told her, then I wouldn't sell my bitcoin, so I think it is understandable for people to keep holding it.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 28, 2023, 08:38:01 PM
I think having an understanding that it should be based on marketcap and not the price is the number one thing that makes it realistic investment. There are a lot of people who focus on the price too much and price means absolutely nothing, it is not what makes something cheap or expensive. It's the marketcap, if the marketcap of something is high, then making it higher priced is hard as well.

Look at bitcoin, it has the highest marketcap and price can hardly move, it takes time, on the other hand something with a small marketcap could move easily, and the price could move easily as well, because one whale could make it go up or down very easily all by themselves since the marketcap is low.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a casino ever run without the government's awareness? on: March 28, 2023, 06:04:50 PM
I would guess that if you do not have any problems about running legit then you should be wanting the casino to be part of governments awareness. That much is true, but if you are a casino I am sure you will want less government, not just because you would be able to do shady stuff thanks to no government, but even the fact that you won't be paying taxes if government doesn't know you means a lot.

However, no casino can get bigger without government, it would be quite difficult to handle and I would guess that not many people will be able to do it. I want to make sure to point this out better, if you are a casino, and if you get big, government will find you no matter where you hide.
1476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 27, 2023, 09:46:14 PM
Honestly if you make about 10 bucks a day, and want to invest 10% of that, it is definitely good. Remember, this dude might be investing 30 bucks a month but he is also making 300 bucks a month as a whole as well.

So in month 10, he would have a whole salary saved up, which means he would have 13 salaries and that would be amazing for most people in the world, it would literally solve all your problems, I would be literally paying off my entire debt and would be living like I am the king if I got a whole another salary on top of my salary. So I believe what this person is doing could be considered as amazing as it gets and should be supported like the best thing there is for that person.
1477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 27, 2023, 08:23:48 PM
If they are relevant then they will, if they are not good and just happen to work at a specific time back in the day, then it won't. I have to tell you that there is a good chance people would end up with a lot of trouble if they keep trying something that doesn't work. I have seen people make a lot of money with a strategy before, and kept trying to use it again and again and never make any money with it after that.

Some strategies makes you money once but then they are bad and should be avoided. If we are talking about one like that then it wouldn't work but if we are talking about one of the golden old ones then it will eventually work in the end of course.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 27, 2023, 06:58:44 PM
Ronaldo is having the time of his life right now. I mean the teams they are playing are obviously easy opponents there is absolutely no doubt about that and when it mattered he was benched during the world ucp, which made him upset of course. Now the opponents might be easy but he is still scoring at 38 which is an amazing achievement, unbelievable one at that.

If Ibrahimovic went to MLS and came back and mattered in Milan, there is a chance Ronaldo could end up back in somewhere that matters. Maybe he will be a bench character, but even at 40 this dude could matter in some big club, maybe psychologically, maybe just as a player who scores after joining 70th+ minute or something but still doing fine.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 26, 2023, 09:33:40 PM
Napoli becoming the team with titles and maradona, to the team that bankrupted and horrible, to the team that is having one of the most dominant seasons ever, all span of 30 years or so give or take is a huge story. I am not saying make a movie about it, but it is definitely worthy of a docuseries, at least 10 episodes long.

All the people that came in and left, not just the players, but more like even the managers and the owners and directors, all changed so much during that time. They do look like a roadmap to success for any team that doesn't have a lot of money. They literally spend less than most clubs spend one a single transfer for all of the club and still managed to be so great.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 26, 2023, 08:30:04 PM
Maybe the idea was that someone else would have hired Tuchel if we waited until the summer and they were worried about that which made them hire him right away and that required them to fire Nagelsmann right away? That could be a legit reason because during the summer there would have been a million teams that would have wanted him, on the other hand when we are talking about right now, most teams already have a manager and not hiring anyone so they wouldn't be a competition to hire Tuchel.

I think it is smart to do it right now, this way they were able to get him without any worry and probably offered him less than what they would have otherwise during the summer.
