1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 27, 2023, 06:26:00 PM
It is not always about the money neither. Modric will make about 20 million euro per year with his new contract and he was offered 200 million a year and yet he rejected it, and that's at 38 years old as well when he should be taking the last big payment of his life. On the other hand Benzema was offered the same and yet he declined and accepted the huge amount of money that he was offered as well.

It means that some players do prefer to go to Saudi Arabian league for the money and some players don't, it depends from person to person. This means that Brozovic could be either, if he wants to take the money then he should obviously go to Al-Nassr, if he wants to play in Europe a bit longer than he should be accepting the Barcelona offer instead.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats going on with Bitcoin Cash BCH? on: June 27, 2023, 06:18:30 PM
Not entirely sure what made it move like this, but it is obvious that this is a huge increase. I mean thinking that this was under 100 dollars just recently and suddenly it is over 200 dollars is a huge increase. Even though we are at a stage where bitcoin and all others increased, none that went up this much as far as I know so this one seems like a big one. It is not going to be a simple thing to figure out the reason but I would stay away from it as of right now.

Because if you bought it before the increase then you could have profited from it, since you didn't buy it beforehand, that means it might be too late right now and you may end up with a huge loss as well. I would highly suggest not to do that, just forget about it.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin high transaction fees is a disadvantage to small business owners on: June 27, 2023, 04:29:30 PM
This has been talked about a lot and a lot of people worry about it but the reality is that small business owners do not really depend on bitcoin all that much. They are doing something that is a bit more personally maybe big enough for them but financially small as the name suggests.

This is why I believe that they can still use paypal or any other method, or just use an altcoin that has low transaction fee, or just not use crypto at all and just use fiat. I am not saying that they shouldn't, but transaction fee shouldn't be a worry, if it is a worry then I believe that it is not really a big deal for anyone, it is just not going to end up being all that important. I think it is quite important to just ignore it and continue if you could do that.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: June 27, 2023, 03:29:00 PM
The problem with rich people becoming richer and poor people becoming poorer is real, but the solutions we have come up with do not provide any sort of real tangible result so far. The problem is, if you end up taxing the rich too much, and try to help the poor with that money, which is the logical thing to do, then there is a chance that those rich people would just take their business elsewhere. Too many companies have headquarters in Singapore and Ireland, have you asked, "why".

Because they wanted to pay less taxes. So, what can you do? You can do all the revenue made within your own nation, and not tax the people who buy the thing, but tax the company that sells it, so the company doesn't sell something for 2k+tax, they sell it for 4k, no taxes, taxes then paid by the company. See if those huge companies can still sell that much, and people will get awareness about it too.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2023, 06:15:19 PM
The fact that Modric decided to turn down an offer that size (assuming biggest ever means maybe like 200 million a year) was a stupid mistake. Think about it, Real already has a good young midfield right now, which means that Modric is less needed, and sure he is still good but he won't be getting that back again. So if he left, and played at SA league, Real would have still been fine, it is not like they need Modric to win otherwise they won't win situation. That is why if he accepted, both Real would have been fine, and he would have been rich.

I am not sure if he will get the same offer next season, there will probably some financial drop there. If it is a political reason, like cultural unfit situation, then I would understand, that's another thing than football reasons.
1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 25, 2023, 05:15:49 PM
There is no way Klay would get traded, he is still a great defender even after the injury, I assumed that he would not be a great defender after the injury because usually the lateral movement gets limited after such injury but he is great and he can still shoot amazingly well. He played with 41% from three with 21 points which is definitely a good sign for him.

However, Draymond green is not "that" guy anymore, he is still good and all in a sense, but he is a 30% three point shooter, not terrible but not good enough, just 0.5 threes per game, 7 rebounds 7 assists 8 points type of guy. Yes, he is a floor general and knows their game, but he is not a max contract guy, that's way too much. Warriors do not print money, they are not the FED, they can't do that.
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin before the halving? on: June 25, 2023, 04:39:53 PM
I think it was a good time to buy bitcoin before it reached 30k, people keep asking if it will go up even more and should they buy it but they ignore the fact that we already bought it at 25k because we knew this would happen. Why would anyone not purchase bitcoin all this time and then suddenly start asking if they should buy it now.

I wonder why you haven't beforehand, that would have been a good thing. I hope that it would be a good period eventually and we would do better, it is not going to be a bad thing to purchase now neither, but if it goes down, be ready to buy more. If you want to buy now but you will be inclined to sell when it goes down, then do not buy it, I would suggest do not get involved with crypto at all. Just buy when it's low, sell when it's high.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is next for Bitcoin? Seems like the only winners are early adopters unless on: June 24, 2023, 03:59:45 AM
I do not think that this is the case, not all the time at least. I think if you could invest into bitcoin or any other good project and keep consistently invest into it for a long time, that means you are going to not only have a lot of money that you yourself invested into, but also you are going to make a good profit as well.

Even if you invest just 100 dollars per month, for 20 years, you would invest 24k but with just 20% a year (which we all know bitcoin would do more) that would result with 320k total. Imagine having 310k dollars, that is a lot of money and it would benefit you a lot, you could literally buy a whole house that can make you enough to not work.

If you are 20 years old, and start investing only 100 bucks, by age 40, you will retire. It's that simple. With 250 bucks a month, at 40% which is realistic for overall bitcoin including the bull periods, you would have 60k invested in 20 years, and 13!!!! million dollars in the end. It's that simple.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 06:25:50 PM
Dana White is certain that he can make it work in the UFC itself, octagon. If that can actually be done ,it is going to be amazing to watch. But I bet 100% that this fight will not happen. They keep talking like this and then they are going to ask their PR firm to find a way to back out with least possible cowardice look, like they wanted to do it but some organization didn't allow them, if only they did then they were so willing to do it. In the end we know that it is not going to happen and we are going to end up with no fight.

However, if they actually do, then my money is on Mark Zuckerberg for sure, he looks a lot more lean and lean guys go down a lot harder, they get tired a lot later as well so that makes it easier for them to go to distance whereas Elon is a bit fatter as we know, and he may get tired and harder to keep going.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: June 23, 2023, 05:53:39 PM
Baumgartner is a beyond what people understand levels of talent people are sleeping on. With Leipzig I think he will be able to show a lot more of his talents, this kid is only 22 years old I believe and he has skillset of much older players, he plays with fire and he plays with wisdom.

I bet you that after they buy him, and make him play for a few seasons alone, he is going to shine so much that he has a potential to be bought by the huge clubs. He may end up with Real Madrid, city, PSG, Bayern type of club where he will worth 100 million one day. Maybe I am wrong, after all I am not a scout, but Leipzig got a big future star with that transfer and they did the right thing, definitely the move of the summer that will have the biggest impact.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 23, 2023, 05:20:01 PM
Most people imagine football is the one that people talk about, but when we start to talk about other sports that makes more sense to play against your own team. Like for example I am a big Spurs fan in NBA, san Antiono spurs not Tottenham one. And we have won 5 rings, that's a huge deal, not a lot of people have 5 rings, we have Duncan who did for example. This is why I believe that we are at a level where it is an elite team and unmatched by many other teams, only a few won more than us ever.

However, we suck right now, hopefully with Wemby we will do better, but all year long I have wagered against my favorite team, because Spurs never really won anything and I feel like it wasn't that hard to go against us, I knew we would lose.
1152  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: June 23, 2023, 03:55:00 PM
I think being the president of a nation would be a difficult task because of people around you, not the job itself. Like if you make me president today with the way I am today, I would make the nation a better place, and so would a lot of people here, that's the point, if we were, then we would be great. But, the presidents usually don't and we dislike them.

Because in order to be president, you need powerful people and politicians to pick you, you can2t just go on youtube and claim to be the candidate, well some crazy people do, and they end up getting a few thousand votes at most. So, if you want to be president from a good party that has a chance, you need to grease the hands of so many people that by the end you will be terrible president if you are elected.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs traditional markets year on year comparison on: June 22, 2023, 05:51:39 PM
Well, when you ask this at bitcointalk, I think people usually having bitcoin as their response makes sense, it is the logical reasoning. We are at bitcointalk because we prefer bitcoin over other investments and that means we are going to like it a lot more. I am not saying that traditional markets could never outperform us, of course it possibly could and that has happened before I am sure of it.

However, I think when you look at it on the long scope, like many months, or if you look at it on a simple approach, then you will realize that it is not going to end up with bitcoin being better. Whenever anyone asks me "would you prefer bitcoin or X" I will always prefer bitcoin, that's always the case for me and will always stay that way.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: June 22, 2023, 04:06:15 PM
I think btc is safe, that is why it's considered better like that, not a lot of people consider the problem as a big deal, if we did then it would have been an issue for a long time. I do not get it, why do people want to risk it and get some small altcoin that has a "potential" that might crash, when bitcoin is great and you could invest and you know what to expect from it.

It will never be a problem on the long run and we should keep investing into it. I am not saying do not ever invest into alts, but I keep most of my money on bitcoin and only some of my money on alts, that way even if my alts go down, I will be able to make a profit with the bitcoin one and that should be a lot better, it will definitely benefit me a lot.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 22, 2023, 04:01:25 AM
I have done it a few times, I have to tell you unless you have a specific point in your mind then there is no reason to attend to. I had that before, I had something that I was reselling, a product that I was promoting, which meant that when I went there with a business card and walked around that was lovely, this was back in 2017 if I am not wrong which means that the market was on the up and people made money as well.

So, I both built a network and had something to use that network for as well. But, if you are just going around to see what's going on, then there is no point in there. Think about it, if you knew a million people in the crypto world but had no benefit from it, then why would you want to spend time to get to know them? You better have a reason to build a network.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and cash are more important than ever. on: June 22, 2023, 02:52:20 AM
I think government following where your money goes is something they have been doing since the start of banking and digitialization. I mean it has been digital for a while so they have been checking it forever as well. I think it's quite obvious that we shouldn't be really doing anything that bothers people like this, because it's not going to be a simple thing.

The best thing to do in this case would be making sure that you are doing what is yours and what you should be doing, which is bitcoin and cash, that way you will be avoiding any type of trace, if they want to then they possibly could, but it would take a while before you could do that, I think it is not impossible but you are making their task a lot more harder that way, otherwise KYC makes sure they know you too, just harder to track.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 21, 2023, 05:02:33 PM
Depends on the altcoin, I have seen ones that fail to break their previous ATH, and I have seen ones that went 100x as well, so it depends on what you are asking.

The biggest ever I saw was 1000x, and I am not even joking, I have seen someone making 1000x return with it, of course that wasn't just the increase in price, but they were staking it, so they got some more after they bought it and made more of the same token, and the price of the token went up a lot too, combining those two together made it 1000x, but this is so rare that it would probably only happen like once or twice per huge bull run, which means there will be TENS OF THOUSANDS of projects, and every 4 years we only get 1 or 2 of them do something like this, please try to not aim at that, it probably won't happen.
1158  Economy / Economics / Re: The new U.S.-China agreement is a "forced friendship. What awaits the world ? on: June 21, 2023, 03:49:33 PM
I think it makes sense that USA would not be able to continue down the same path that they have been going for a long time with this method. I mean they are spending trillion a year on military, for what? Who are they fighting against?

Looking at the last 70 years, they haven't been in a single war that was reasonable for them, they could have avoided it if possible, the last reasonable war was world war two, maybe Korea too if you want to include that considering China would have gone in anyway, but that's the only one that made sense, since then all the wars they got in for nothing at all, and achieved nothing in the end as well. This is why them spending this much makes no sense and they need these friendships to make sure they don't bankrupt.
1159  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC fighting for the publics my ass on: June 21, 2023, 03:03:03 PM
I am not entirely sure if this was the case. They also attacked Coinbase, a fully American company, which means that if they wanted this all along, they could have taken over coinbase and follow your money easily as well, there wasn't anything that stopped them from doing it.

At the same time, when we are talking about something else, like when we are talking about a big company, then we are talking about these names, citadel, fidelity, all these are big names so if they do that, they will not only spend more money on marketing, but they will keep on bribing, and they will also end up with bringing a lot of money they already have into investment as well. It should help us bitcoin investors really, could provide so much more money to the market.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 20, 2023, 06:20:45 PM
I would, but how could they convince me to do that? That's the thing, you can't just say "invest in us today and you will outshine the market in 5 years", I can say "no, you invest in me and I can outshine the market in 24 hours and give you a million dollars per day starting tomorrow", would you believe me? Just because yours is more believable, doesn't mean it's real, so saying "it might take a few years to outshine the market" is not the point, that is a good statement and if I trusted it then I would wait and invest, hell I am willing to hold my bitcoins 20 more years, so why not.

The problem would be convincing people that it would outshine, what if you fail? What if it doesn't outshine? Its not the waiting, it's trusting the statement, and I wouldn't right now.
