No. A new forum is being developed so this one won't be developed further.
Honestly I hope that the new forum is not some fancy thing that just bloats the browser. I like this forum because it's very friendly with old computers, doesn't annoy you with endless captchas etc. I hate how other forums are non functional without javascript and always ask you to solve captchas. The beta is looking quite nicely. They're taking the same simplistic approach for the new forum...

No doubts on who owns what now... No excuses for archives about that getting destroyed or error in the states digital achieves. Nice initiative ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

There are several mirrors that occasionally appear on google searches for this forum. Not going to link them, nobody knows what's really their goal, could be either profit on ads or capture user's passwords...
Search functionality is available here and you can also make a custom search with google. As for offline viewing, I'm not sure any mirror allows that...

Nice catch, very strange indeed. I wonder why would someone like to regain control of this account... It might be the original owner
Wishful thinking, heh? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Take a second to look at John K's comment. "Hopefully you'll be revived in the near future with the power of technology." Well, I think that day may have come. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I guess not, successfully reviving someone preserved cryogenically would be major news, so no...

I guess he sin't saying any lie, so... Doesn't demerit Satoshi or increase his merit in any way. Especially being a Twitter bio... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

This just reminds me of a thread here a few months ago of a BTM operator that said his place was robbed after he moved the BTM away, and nothing was taken, and police said they assumed the robbers were looking for something specific and didn't found it, since they didn't take anything... (can't find that thread, unfortunately). It may be gang related for sure, but I just think it's a bunch of robbers checking a BTM map and trying to rob BTM's that might have fiat bills.

OP's graphic is a reminder of what we need: ways to transact more, on-chain, cheaply (or free if possible) and occupying less resources. All of this goes in hand with the ideas Bitcoin was conceived with.

Yes there is movement in the market. I can allocate small bonuses: Website - 20000 MOTO Block Explorer - 20000 MOTO
Great idea. I can donate some MOTO as well if someone creates a game or service to spend MOTO's on. I think there should be some markets for it as well as adoption by merchants and websites. If you think you can give MOTO a promotion boost then we can talk. I have a block explorer working. A really basic one, but it is functional. Just don't really have anywhere to host it properly. I could also try experimenting with other block exploring software when I have time. As for the website, one could host it along side a block explorer. I'm not really knowledgeable on html but something can be figured out in order to have a more easily accessible place to download updated and compiled files.

The only cons (for the govt) I can think of is that it requires a deep internet/electricity infrastructure to be widely implemented
The traditional banking system does too, and you see them in every corner of every city. There were multiple times news even saying that the traditional banking system consumes way more electrical resources than the whole Bitcoin network, so that's not really a disadvantage... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This infrastructure is set for many places in the work, it can be "reconverted" for cryptocurrency use...

We all have times in which we are more or less in a financial trouble, I guess, some months better than others. Yes, Bitcoin has really helped me in one or two occasions when I was tighter regarding funds.

Good. Now what does Tim Draper think about scaling? Does Tim Draper expect Bitcoin to scale in a year? Someone so blindly worried in profiting in $ doesn't even think about this...

There have been cars sold with Bitcoin, so that's possible. Otherwise you'll have to convince the seller or the car lot in selling you a car for Bitcoin. Same goes with a house, you'll have to convince the seller (I don't think that there are estate agencies accepting Bitcoin anywhere).

So no fees in WU until the end of March? Tough competition ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Good to see these services stepping up! Their general acceptance was what made Bitcoin happen, so them stepping up means that Bitcoin will one up them soon.

So there wasn't any margin that he made there wasn't profit he just had to spend less bitcoins because the price rose
Bitcoin Magazine or whoever wrote the article doesn't seem to think that way. “With that extra money, he went and bought a Lamborghini at Newport Beach, Orange County, which also accepts bitcoin with Bitpay,” added Singh. “He got a house for pretty much 25 percent cheaper, as well as a free Lamborghini essentially.”[/size] Free Lambo! Sign me up for that ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I'd say that'll be an excellent free advertisement for the dealership under the guise of news.
My thoughts exactly. Especially because the dealer in question doesn't even like publicity... in several websites or communities... nor do they have a nice social media presence... And apparently neither BitPay are fans of "Lambo's", maybe someone's just a big fan of BitPay.

For all your mining doubts, there's a section for that. The "machines" you're referring to are probably ASIC's. You can check that section of the forum to get to know more about ASIC's. You can also mine with GPU's, as said, but only altcoins.

Not quite sure how this relates to Bitcoin. I might be wrong but this fuzz about Satoshi is making people see things where they don't exist. I might be wrong though, would like to see proof relating someone to Satoshi if it exists.
You are perfectly admitting you didn't listen to the link or read the article aren't you? Like just for others can you clarify this is true or not? No one who has listened to the talk has said something so asinine, just so others are aware. Yes, I didn't listen to the talk. No, I read the article. If you could point me to where in the talk do we have proof that John Nash created Bitcoin, I'd be thankful.

Because I don't see into the future and couldn't know that in 5 years law enforcement in various countries will see people who used what was just a cool tech thing as potential terrorists? Sorry I'm not an oracle. This is a pretty serious fail on the site's part, how do you run a service that's been linked to illegal crap in the past and not let people back out?
Linked to "illegal crap"? What "illegal crap" are you referring to? Anyone can be Aladar42, you could even have your account deleted and someone register an account with exact same nickname and even if this nickname exists in multiple sites it might not be possible to confirm it is used by exactly the same person. You had 0 posts, might as well have stayed with 0 posts, you'd avoid troubling yourself... Very curious as to what "illegal crap" has Bitcointalk been related to...
