This looks like an attempt to get people to crowdfund whatever they want to buy for them and to adopt their altcoin, but ok Nevertheless, the reaction from the Japanese public to this show will be interesting, given the media coverage that the Mt. Gox issue seemed to have... I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Interesting thread. It would be cool if it was possible to manage this thread like the last one. marcotheminer is indeed a good manager, despite having issues in the last few months of the Bit-X/CoinsBank campaign. Good to see guitarplinker there too since I just joined his campaign... FortuneJack also ran a very good campaign way back when I joined them and I didn't see complains about their campaign so far, maybe a good candidate for the list too.

You will be needing multiple servers for such an infrastructure. A Bitcoin node can get quite heavy, it can even eat you most of your computer's resources even if you have a pretty powerful one. Major altcoins also consume quite a bit of resources, and other smaller altcoins add up... Don't count on a single server for so many things.

The ideia is indeed interesting, but maybe a bit ill developed. People using Bitcoin not knowing it is actually Bitcoin... Can't see that contributing too much unfortunately. People need to know what they're actually using, what it does, how it works in order to empower and teach these people on Bitcoin and show them why Bitcoin and how it is different from fiat currencies. Loyalty points wouldn't instruct people this way, it wouldn't empower them in using crypto, and they probably wouldn't relay information to their relatives. Don't really see how Bitcoin could take off with loyalty points...

What is he saying about neteller and bitcoin? It does not look too good whatever it is. Translation in english if you please. Thank you. You can check it on Google Translator. The user seems to have some issues charging his Neteller account with Bitcoin. I don't use the service so I'm not familiar with what might have happened. If OP believes he was scammed, there's also a Scam Accusations board...

How can I run BitcoinCore seperately and still have Armory know where to find it's paths?
Doesn't the -satoshi-datadir= command work when having Bitcoin Core manually managed?
|
|
|
Try manually managing Armory. Let Bitcoin Core sync, then rebuild Armory.

I actually never heard this argument before, at least not in real life. If there was an EMP... We'd be screwed. Currency issues would have to be sorted out later, I guess.

I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?
To escape from the traditional banking system. If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
See above If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
Not sure here, but maybe Bitcoin because Bitcoin deposits are faster. What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?
Taxes depend on your country. You don't get more or less income with Bitcoin. You get freedom, faster transactions and a way to keep your money yourself, safely.

1,000,000 bits = 1 btc
I know, but my mind simply cannot get around converting this amount on the fly, or simply thinking in bits. You're definitely not the only one, we get a lot of complaints about this. People hate changing from what they are already used to. This is why it's so important to make the switch now while bitcoin is still small. The more it grows the more painful it will be to switch the standard denomination.
Yes, you are right. It won't bother me much if we eventually switch to bits, although I still think BTC is way easier. Maybe simply because when I started looking at Bitcoin there were no "bits" or "milibtc"...
|
|
|
Also we want to help the bitcoin community move to bits from full btc, to help grow bitcoin adoption. Large parts of the world population can't deal with arbitrary precision decimal numbers, and the sooner we switch the less painful the switch will be.
I've been on Bitcoin for quite some time and I still get confused with the bits terminology, full Bitcoin just seems so much easier to understand... But I guess that's only me

This cannot be considered storage. If the things you store there are on a live server, than it is a hot wallet. And as said before, this isn't the way to store Bitcoin... Don't expect Bitcoin to be insured.

I can confirm I have received the last payment for this campaign (on the 2nd, didn't notice it as I haven't received any message and the bot is outdated).
Once again thank you for the campaign.

Post count and Activity aren't millimetrically precise at all times, neither they update on the fly.

Not sure what OP's goal is, but beyond WalletExplorer there's also BlockSeerThe problem with these it's that they don't link every single address to a wallet, it only searches the blockchain for spend-linked addresses. Nor does it show ones in the mempool. Linking addresses to the same wallet is something hard to do as normally one doesn't have information to be 100% sure that a set of apparently related addresses all belong to the same wallet (or owner). I don't think there's a tool like these that shows transactions in the mempool related to the address you're searching.

Now the question is, what did you do or download in order to have this trojan installed? Would be helpful to sort out sources of these things.
