481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite platform? on: July 20, 2019, 06:07:20 AM
it depends on your purpose.
other platforms are usually a lot better than ethereum not to mention having a lot less cost and in most cases a better salability and decentralization. so technically speaking there is a good chance that the other platform you have in mind is better than ethereum.

but usually the main purpose of anyone to choose these platforms is not at all technical! so they don't care about all the things i listed above. all they care about is hype so that they can create their junk token and dump it on the market to become rich. in this case ethereum may be better but since this whole scheme is dying and other platforms are replacing ethereum it might not be the case for long. for example BNB is currently taking the market as Binance is starting to have full control over the altcoin market.
482  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bitcoin news writer wants bitcoin price down on: July 20, 2019, 05:55:24 AM
there are loads of people who want to see price go down. from those who are shorting bitcoin and have been losing money doing so, to those who have some money and want to dump it to get bitcoin instead. and since the FUD strategy has been successful in some cases everyone who wants a lower price always tries their hand at spreading it as much as they can. they just need some meaningless news to turn negative and push it all over the internet, then the shitty news sites who are always desperate for traffic pick it up and do the rest for them.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance on CoinMarketCap on: July 20, 2019, 05:48:32 AM
Yes, bitcoin is dominant and that's fine. I'm sure it will continue. Likely further domination will only intensify. Bitcoin does not lose its position, on the contrary, it only increases
Bitcoin will always be dominant among the rest of coins because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and there are a lot of people are making good profit with bitcoin compare on other cryptos that's why it will continue to be the best crypto.
we can see the market capitalization of bitcoin and ethereum which ranks second in the coinmarketcap, where bitcoin gets $ 187 billion, while ethereum is $ 24 billion. with very far adrift, it's no wonder that bitcoin dominates cryptocurrency. this is inseparable from people's trust in bitcoin

you should also compare their circulating supply and the premine of each coin to come up with a more realistic market capitalization.
bitcoin has about 17 million coins in circulation with 0 premine
ethereum has more than 106 million coins in circulation with more than 75 million of it premined.

so in reality bitcoin market cap is $190 billion while ethereum is $5 billion.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump Mandate: End The Practice Of using BTC to Fund Illegal Drug Activity on: July 20, 2019, 05:33:41 AM
whenever you could ensure that US dollar is not used for illegal drug activity or at least reduce its usage, then you can do the same with cryptocurrencies.
according to Google, 1% of the total global trade is in drug trafficking and guess what it is all using US dollar and the volume is more than 40 trillion dollars. the whole cryptocurrency market combined doesn't even have that much volume. if 0.1% of that volume entered bitcoin then bitcoin price would have shot up to $500,000 already.

by the way Trump has not mandated or explicitly said anything. all you have is that one single tweet which was mostly aiming at Libra and Facebook. bitcoin wasn't even the main target.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary tokens here and there on: July 18, 2019, 01:10:04 PM
it is just the new buzzword that the token creators are using to sell their shit to the gullible newbies who only look at the advertisements to decide where to burn their hard earned money. they always do this, they take something and use it to hype up their project and most people in this market don't think twice about these things! they see the word "deflationary" and think they have hit jackpot of profit to become millionaires in a day.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: why Bitcoin sudden dump, when it will bounce again... on: July 18, 2019, 12:54:40 PM
The mainstream could continue paying with Paypal and credit cards since it's all the same anyway. This way, they won't even need to pre-convert any money to Libra.

If it works similarly to how for example the stablecoins we have here work, it's actually quite an improvement over the services offered by financial institutions such as PayPal.

Don't forget that PayPal is a safe haven for scammers with how their bias always leans towards the buyer. I'm certain Libra in working condition would greatly exceed the workings of PayPal & Co. PayPal is shit all the way through. It costs me like $4 to send a sub $50 sum of money to someone in another country. Libra will demolish this house of cards. I welcome it.

Also, Libra is an amazing tool if it's paired against Bitcoin because that means a new stream of liquidity finding its way to Bitcoin.

i seriously doubt that there would be any difference between Libra and PayPal. in my view they are exactly the same thing and people (the end users) don't care or even notice what the underlying technology is, whether it is a simple database (aka PayPal) or a blockchain (aka Libra) in the end they will be having an account linked to their identity on a website controlled by a company that acts as their "online bank".
and i don't think they are going to put any kind of links between their coin and bitcoin, their website, their paper,... don't even mention bitcoin. not to mention that it will be centralized.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump tweet / Libra issues / Shortsighted opinions on: July 18, 2019, 12:46:09 PM
by the threat that Libra pose for the US Dollar.

but hasn't Trump been worst than anything else for USD? if anything he has been the bigger threat to it. with all his wars most countries are now looking for an alternative to US dollar.
in my opinion they are mostly feeling threat to their monopoly than anything else. the power of printing money and Libra is the centralized target that they can attack so they have taken the chance to do it without wasting any time.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can launch your crypto exchange quickly on: July 17, 2019, 08:13:47 AM
that is not something that you should even attempt to do!
starting a new exchange service is not a child play, it has a lot of security concerns not only because you are supposed to be handling large sums of money but also because you are handling other people's money and security must be the first thing to consider.
cloning another website and running it "quickly" is the recipe for losing money because it is like a big invitation to all the newbie hackers to come and steal the money that is not even properly secured in such low quality platforms.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of IEOs? on: July 17, 2019, 07:59:40 AM
they are all equally bad simply because all these exchanges are trying to maximize their profitability and increase their power in the market by taking control over who gets to start a fund-raising operation and who doesn't (hint: those who pay them are going to be allowed to raise funds!!!).
in the end any project that does a fund-raising like this is severely flawed and should not be given any money specially when all they create is a useless token on another platform instead of an actual cryptocurrency that solves something and has something new in it!
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The time of seriousness is disappearing on: July 17, 2019, 07:40:06 AM
In all honesty, this outcome is to be expected. With the recent significant increase on bitcoin's price, it resisted fairly slow and succumb to a drastic decrease. Rather than feeling down, take this time as an opportunity to purchase while prices are on the red. This kind of situation is relatively common and most of us already experienced this kind of situation.

To all fairly new investors in the world of cryptocurrency, let this outcome not sway your decision-making skills and your interest in bitcoin. While there may be times where we experience gold, expect times of dark to come.

unfortunately newcomers never listen to this, they always do the exact opposite which is selling at the bottom of a dip because they believed in some FUD that came after the drop ended and wanted to push them out by taking their bitcoins at a cheaper price.
that is why we always see the dips grow more than logically expected. and that is also why technical analysis never works for bitcoin. because newbies and weak hands increase the volatility to unexpected levels.
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto industry manipulated? How bad is it? on: July 17, 2019, 07:25:46 AM
Yes we all know that crypto manipulate by the people who holding bitcoin.they wanted to hide it and hold it for a while then when bitcoin reach a higher prize they will sell it in that time.

investing in something and then selling it when you reach your price/profit target is not called manipulation. it is called the normal thing that any normal human being does and it is the exact definition of an "investment"!

"manipulation" is what is happening in altcoins for example. when a shitcoin out of nowhere rises up 100% in one day and then in the following day it drops just as much. that is called manipulation aka the pump and dump.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $300 on: July 17, 2019, 07:21:32 AM
sorry, you are about 5 years too late to see $300 prices or anything in 3 digits anymore.
the only thing that you will see is 4 and 5 digits and if you are so unlucky you might even see 6 digits soon enough. so either give up trying to get in bitcoin and stay out or don't lose the opportunities Wink
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: Great investment or Bankrupt company? on: July 16, 2019, 07:51:48 AM
it is both at the same time.
XRP is a centralized shitcoin with no future which makes it a terrible investment. but at the same time they have always been pump and dumping this shitcoin from time to time. so during those pumping periods it becomes a great investment (short term) to increase your bitcoin wealth by going in at the start of the pump and jumping out when it nears the end of it.

the problem with the altcoin market is exactly this. it has changed from having good projects with real future into shitty projects with best pumps. so we also have to adapt our strategies to this change.
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin seems to drop faster than rises on: July 16, 2019, 07:27:38 AM
Your maths is really bad. For Bitcoin to drop to zero, it has to drop exactly the same proportion as it has risen, ie. 1x the "speed" of Bitcoin's rise.

Of course drops seem to be more painful than rises. You feel the pain of loss a lot more than you do the joy of gains. It's just human psychology and the way our brains work to process emotional effects of money. A lot of research into it. Helps explain why traders chase losses. Gamblers continually suffer from sunk loss psychology, etc.
Yes drop is painful but on the average, in the boom market, the price rise has always been more than the fall in the market value of Bitcoin. We should expect more rise in the market value of the coin and there are reasons behind the rise of the price of the coin like super speculation and Bitcoin Halving in 2020. So if you invest right now, you would make some good bucks.

next block halving may seem close but in market trend terms it is far away. and as i have been saying all this year, we will continue to see a lot more price rises before we reach the state where there is a big jump in price because of the halving which also will occur at least 1 month before the actual date. i expect price to be closer to $20k by then and the halving to push it beyond the previous ATH and kick start the next bubble.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin proposes Ethereum use Bitcoincash blockchain for transactions on: July 16, 2019, 07:14:56 AM
that is the stupidest thing that i have ever heard come out of Vitalik!

as a standalone blockchain/network you never want your coin to rely on anything else. specially when you are claiming that it is "decentralized" (although ethereum is far from it) and using another altcoin's blockchain is like relying on that for survival.
not to mention that BCH scalability is even worse than ethereum's because it is a copy of bitcoin and bitcoin by design is not supposed to process spam transactions that a token like ETH has.

the funny thing about ethereum team is that they have been promising solutions for scalability for at least 3 years and every day ethereum blockchain grows more while nothing is changing and they have not delivered anything yet Cheesy
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Bitcoin Cash is Up 9.23% Today! on: July 16, 2019, 07:04:59 AM
lol
whenever bitcoin reaches a moderate stability, even if it is for half a day, the altcoins get pumped. pumpers in the market always choose altcoins randomly and start pumping them for profit while the bitcoin market is in accumulation mode to rise back up again.
BCash was only one of the tiniest choices of today for pumping. other altcoins that got pumped better were:
among small coins:
EscrowCoin 720% <-- 1100% in past 7 days!
PeepCoin 530%
LiteDoge 370%
BRAT 270%

among big coins:
U Network 40%
ICON 25%
0x 20%

the past 24 hours 4% rise in BCash price is lost among these profit percentages that altcoins have...
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Tell me what to buy with 212k USD and I'll do it and post screenshots on: July 15, 2019, 06:47:49 AM
i wouldn't invest in anything if i were you, and instead i would put that money in a bank account (hold the fiat instead) because if i am so unfamiliar with a market that i had to ask random people on the internet for random suggestions aka investment advice then i would prefer holding the money i have instead of throwing it away in a gambling manner.
not to mention that i believe that "investing" in altcoins is a very bad idea, you must be a short term trader when it comes to altcoins.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs. Big Companies on: July 15, 2019, 06:38:37 AM
no because ethereum will kill itself long before anybody else even bothers wanting to do something about it. a flawed protocol with lots of exploits, a gigantic blockchain that is 10 times bigger than bitcoin's blockchain, lack of scalability and high fees, a huge premine and ICO, lack of immutability ever since they rolled back a lot of transactions, centralization,... and a lot more are just a small number of issues that ethereum has. with its unlimited supply and the dumping that is happening in the long run it is doomed to die anyways. all you have to do is wait Cheesy
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin seems to drop faster than rises on: July 15, 2019, 06:27:30 AM
it is only because we are still in early days of reversal out of the bear market. and we all know that people tend to get stuck in their old ways until they are forced to change. right now they are stuck in the bear market mentality so they panic sell quite faster than normal which is why we sometimes see big drops.

but as this mentality changes we no longer see those big drops like the 2018 drops that were coming slower while the 2017 RISES were coming much faster because by that time the mentality was the bull mode.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump is tweeting about Bitcoin O.O thoughts? on: July 15, 2019, 05:59:55 AM
despite what some people think and some of them even want to make this into an FUD so that they can buy bitcoin at a lower price, i think this is a very bullish signal if you really think about the implications that this had.
this tweet shows that bitcoin has become big enough to even be mentioned by US president and mainly show their fear of it since they can not control it as they are controlling fiat transactions. in other words bitcoin has been successful in its mission.
