1381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Global 5 bubbles will transfer 150bn to top 500 on: November 08, 2018, 06:20:59 AM
this is a very common mistake that the newcomers like you always make when they look at altcoins. they see these unused altcoins that are seemingly working fine so you think that they are better. but what you don't know is that because they are not used their faults aren't showing.

it is like bridge that can not support the weight that it is supposed to support or promises to support. and this bridge is only used by 1 car at a time. so everything looks fine. but as soon as there is a little bit more traffic and more cars passing that bridge you can see the real catastrophe when it collapses and takes lives.
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesnt only consume too much electricity, it destroys the environment on: November 08, 2018, 06:11:55 AM
It will not stop. Is this a race of who kills our planet first?

no it is a race about who can make the most outrageous claims about bitcoin's energy usage and the business is good these days. they come up with these exaggerated numbers that they keep feeding people trying to undermine bitcoin. the fact is none of these websites like "theguardian" which you quoted give a shit about planet and environment otherwise they would have spoke more about the real polluting industries that are causing global warming and killing us all not the tiny energy consumption that is the most constructive and clean thing you can find.
1383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple Takes Down Crypto Podcast on: November 08, 2018, 06:01:17 AM
Fuck this censorship. Where did the freedom go?

well it is a centralized platform that has certain rules that needs to be followed. you can't start calling it censorship when they remove something that is breaking their rules. and that is what the video was doing. and they are just making a big drama out of it and for good reasons: publicity! it is like free advertisement for their future posts...

secondly if they don't like the rules so much then they can stop using that platform. nobody is forcing them to post stuff on app store Wink
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold predictions? on: November 07, 2018, 07:30:48 AM
there is little future for forked coins in general.

this means what you are asking is a prediction about how big a pump this coin can have and that is an impossible prediction to make because you have no way of knowing the size of the pump of an altcoin. it just happens and according to the hype of that time, the whales involved in pumping and the pumping teams behind it, and ... the pump can be very big or very small.

a ~10x pump is no unheard of in altcoin section. it can easily happen but there are a lot of other coins that can be pumped a lot easier so the chances of it happening for BTG is small.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No KYC is required during Epiphany Airdrop to 'KYC required' after Airdrop on: November 07, 2018, 07:17:49 AM
you should already know that there is no such thing as "free" in the world. so things such as "airdrop" has never been actually free even though it may look like it at first!
what they do is that they are actually "using" you to make money. you are working for them by spreading the word and freely advertising while getting some useless token they created out of thin air and they call that "Free".
these token creators want to make more money. and to do that they usually use KYC to pretend they are legitimate so that more people are fooled and invest in their token so that they can make more money. sometimes they also use KYC as an excuse to get your private information and then sell it on the dark market for more money!
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some people here on BCH before the fork? on: November 07, 2018, 07:03:19 AM
Buying some BCH before the fork could be a good move (in my opinion). That said, it is very likely

generally speaking whenever there is a fork coin being created out of another coin there is only two possibilities which as a trader you have to keep an eye out.
1. first one is that the hype of the fork coin is not successful and that means no rise at all hence no profit if you buy it.
this is rarer since usually these things hype the market a lot and lead to profit.

2. second one is that it is actually hyped and there is a good rise.
this is more common and it has happened enough times in a lot of different coins. it is basically because people know that they will double their coins and make a good profit so they start buying the coin that is being forked before the fork happens.
in this case you have to be  cautious because you have to buy the  coin in early hours of the pump otherwise you risk losing money because the dump sometimes begins BEFORE the fork. for example price goes up from 1000 to 10,000 and falls down to 7000 before the fork begins so if you buy at 7000 you will lose money.
then there is AFTER the fork which obviously everyone will start selling the free coins they gained and also the original coin they bought and that can create panic sells.

unlike BTC which is still lagging with its 3 transactions per second
well you can only compare BTC and BCH when BCH started processing at least 3 TPS. right now it is processing about 0.016 TPS
1387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY DO WE NEED A TRADING PLAN ? on: November 07, 2018, 06:59:21 AM
What you mentioned can be said to be true, but the most difficult thing is to do what has been planned, and point number 3 is a pretty difficult thing for me to do because losing is greatly affects us mentally.

that is why it is said that trading is not something the everyone should try. and it is why there are a lot of losers in trading because it is not suitable for them but they don't want to accept it and continue trying to make it work and fail.
although you may not belong to that category, being affected by emotions is fine for beginners but as long as you are aware that this is something that you should get rid of and start being more of a solid logical trader instead.
1388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is Bitcoin heading towards? on: November 07, 2018, 06:44:28 AM
i seriously doubt that SEC is going to approve any ETF anytime soon but if they do it soon then the timing can be good since the drop has been over for a couple of months now and the price has been at the bottom for a long enough time for accumulation to finish. and that kind of news can be the initialization force for the rise to begin.

otherwise i am expecting a slower rise like what we had in 2015 after the similar stable price which will break $10k in a couple of months which will be in 2019 and with all the good news that has been coming out all this time we can expect a new ATH in 2019 too.
1389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley Report Shows Strong Institutional Investment for Bitcoin on: November 07, 2018, 06:25:15 AM
This latest development, described by the bank as “surprising,” comes against the backdrop of Morgan Stanley offering trading in derivatives tied to the largest cryptocurrency. It’s important to note that the bank is not actually planning to trade Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies directly but rather to offer Bitcoin swap trading tied to futures contracts. Earlier this year, CEO James Gorman said that a trading desk specializing in derivatives tied to digital assets could be a potential service offered to clients.

Are they actually talking about institutions investing directly in Bitcoin, or just derivatives? I don't know how I feel about this, but it also kind of seems like a marketing move.

The report traces the evolution of Bitcoin from its varying roles of digital cash, a new fundraising mechanism, a method for the store of value, to its most recent incarnation as a “new institutional investment class.”

Nope, it's still primarily digital cash. It certainly evolves, but it doesn't lose its old roles.

that's what i am afraid of. these things are always derivatives and have nothing to do with bitcoin. and these "institutional investors" aren't investing in bitcoin as a result of that which means their involvement changes nothing apart from the fact that the company that is being advertised here will make more money using bitcoin's name.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like to know the price of altcoins in fiat or BTC or both? on: November 05, 2018, 06:53:03 AM
the strategies that people use are different.
on one hand we have altcoin bag holder newbies who are buying a ton of altcoins and they care about the fiat value of it because they are looking for becoming rich this way. these people lose money and give up so they won't last in the long run.
on another hand we have day traders who invest their bitcoin and increase it, these people don't need some application to keep track of value of altcoins they own because they don't hold them that long! they sell and move on to another to make more profit and do it constantly instead of staying idle.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long it takes ? on: November 05, 2018, 06:41:38 AM
I did verify in blockchain explorer but nothing i don't see the transaction ... and i diden't put my adresse false .. every thing is okey ... i don't know really where is the probleme !? I hope will not be late mor than a week 😣

it shouldn't take more than a couple of seconds or worse case scenario a couple of minutes! if it is later than that there something IS wrong. waiting is not going to fix anything for you.

are you sure you withdrew bitcoin and not something else? can you post the address you requested the withdrawal to and also the transaction ID that coinbase gave you here? otherwise you have to contact coinbase and ask them for clarification.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash "BCC" will rise up crazyyy !!! on: November 05, 2018, 06:32:56 AM
the only way BCH is rising is with a pump. and it actually had a pump recently because of its fork news where people started FOMO buying because they thought they were getting some free money. long story short the pump wasn't even big enough to be categorized as a decent pump!

as its future, there is no future for BCH because it is a fork coin and these types of coins are always consider second tier altcoins with no future.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fraud with the mode of asking for help on: November 05, 2018, 06:23:05 AM
scammers always target greediness of people and use it to their own advantage to make money. this is not a new thing that happened to you. they usually do it with a malware in the name of their own wallet that is corrupted and ask you to help fix it and be rewarded big time!
in short if someone isn't an actual expert they shouldn't really bother helping these people because the risks are higher than the reward.

It looks like the site is US based, but

isn't that bad on its own? as far as i know "online gambling" is illegal in US!
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the profit margins on Bitcoin Atms? on: November 05, 2018, 06:12:34 AM
it is about supply and demand in my opinion. for ATMs there is a certain type of demand from people who want that way of buying/selling bitcoin and since there isn't that many competing ATMs they will be willing to pay any kind of fee that you ask them.
and that means the profitability of it depends on the company and where they installed the ATM. i have seen different fees being charged and obviously some places (countries) these ATMs will be used a lot more than others.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will PayPal start accepting bitcoin? on: November 05, 2018, 06:03:45 AM
this topic was started back in 2011! stop answering it as if it was asked yesterday!

it is interesting to see many have voted "5 years" which is now 7 years gone by and PayPal has not only not started accepting bitcoin but most probably will soon start thinking about creating their own token Cheesy
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 is coming soon on: November 03, 2018, 07:55:26 AM
i am very excited to see how this fork of ethereum is going to be like and what new issues it is going to introduce while trying to solve the major issues it already has. but at the same time i have no faith in their developing anymore after years of promising a switch to PoS but only acting on it as the last resort for a pump when the dumping happened!
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Must-Follow Rules of Professional Crypto Trading on: November 03, 2018, 07:41:11 AM
2.    Always pay attention to Bitcoin’s behavior
Most of altcoins (I mean any cryptocurrency besides bitcoin) depend on Bitcoin more, than, for example, Asian currencies depended on US dollar during the Asian financial crisis. If btc price drastically pumps, altcoin rates can decrease: a lot of traders are selling their alts to purchase bitcoins. And, conversely, is Bitcoin rate crashes, altcoin prices can go down as well: people are trying to sell their altcoins and get back to fiat money. The best time for altcoin growth is when Bitcoin demonstrates common moderate growth or small decline, or during the long flat.

wrong.
this is a common mistake thinking altcoins follow bitcoin. the correct thing is that they may follow bitcoin. and that may be the common trend but altcoins mostly follow bitcoin during its drops not its rises. so in other words we have a lot of times where bitcoin rises but altcoins are dropping.

 3.    Never put all eggs in one basket.
Diverse your portfolioYes,...
the concept is correct but your explanation of it is wrong. diversifying means you invest your money in things that are not taking effect from each other. in other words when you post  your rule number 1 you are basically saying you should NEVER doing point #2 because altcoins are following bitcoin.
you can't believe in both of these rules. choose one!

 4.    Don’t be greed!
5.  Syndrome of a lost profit. Do not give in to FOMO syndrome
i say these two are the same. in short you should have a trading plan and never do things randomly. and become a trading expert so that you can know what to do in different cases.

6. Divide your investments into categories and always look at the long-term perspective!
you should first analyze to see whether the asset has any long term potential or not.
in case of altcoins 90% of them have 0 change of long term survival.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your plan for the next bull-bear cycle? on: November 03, 2018, 07:23:20 AM
....
Dont forget that next economic crisis will hit us in this cycle or soon after. Some even suspect that the Bitcoin crash of this cycle will cause next economic crisis.

well, that's just silly thinking. bitcoin is not big enough to have a small effect on economy let alone cause a world wide economical crisis!
besides the economical crisis is not something that is guaranteed to happen! it is speculated to happen and it may not. and we don't know yet what its effects are going to be on bitcoin. some say it will affect bitcoin the same way as others (meaning drop) some others say there will be a big rise instead.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many Topics, Such Garbage, So Wow on: November 03, 2018, 07:13:10 AM
under every comment on bitcointalk at the bottom right corner just above the signature area there is a link called Report to moderator. next time you see a garbage topic, or basically any comment that is garbage try using that link to report it to a moderator so that they can remove these garbage posts.
if more people start doing that instead of only complaining about it (not directed to you, but generally speaking) the boards would be much clearer.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Considering Cryptocurrency Ban on: November 03, 2018, 07:02:36 AM
Oh great India is the new China, it's banned and unbanned on the weekly. When will these countries quit fooling around?

India after restricting the Banks is now planning to completely make the usage or even crypto-crypto trading to a halt in India. But the irony is they are planning to make their own crypto equivalent to INR. About China recently I read somewhere they are planning to make it legal and regulate it and probably imposing taxes. I guess they will need more time to stop fooling around or after losing some good opportunity related to this.
I mean more so on the back and forth, it's just like China was a little while ago. Next week it'll be somewhat okay then three weeks later a complete full ban.

it is like China in the sense that their government is NOT changing their position about bitcoin. the NEWS is changing what they report about their government stance every couple of days! and that is a big distinction.
for example from about 2012-2013 they have been saying China banned bitcoin but they never did it. what they did was for instance banning "banks" from investing in bitcoin. or some dude in some low government position talked somewhere randomly that bitcoin should be banned and the news reported it as an official law! LOL.
the same thing is happening with India. their "Reserve Bank" closed bitcoin exchange accounts and the media went crazy saying the "government" has banned bitcoin!
