482  Economy / Speculation / Re: SerenityTrading - Daily Market Updates! on: July 05, 2015, 06:48:50 PM
Barely a quarter of my order got filled, but ridiculous timing I know :-/ Oh well, better than not being in it! Seemed like ltc just caught up with btc's for now.

I'm 100% out of this trade now - not sure where it's going next. Will edit/upload the trade maybe today/tomm. or next weekend.

My trade is small enough I'll let it ride with a trailing stop. Still think it could have legs with Greece ect...

Keep up the good work!
Well thanks Smiley

I'm not seeing huge potential with quality Bitcoin trades at the moment, but Litecoin has a potential trade setup.

I'm going long litecoin around these levels for the first time in a long time. Let's see how it plays out!
485  Economy / Speculation / Re: SerenityTrading - Daily Market Updates! on: July 04, 2015, 06:39:39 PM
^Oh cool, a response :p

Also - I've got a YT channel I started posting on. There isn't a Bitcoin or Litecoin trade yet on there, but there will be soon after I edit the clip and upload it.

There is however, two forex trades on there:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6wpjbC2TVc

I look forward to increasing the video quality over time as I'll get better with editing.

As for the market right now, it seems that there isn't so much liquidity at the moment - and today is a weekend day too.

yeah, weekend and US holiday- but Greek referendum tomorrow, which has potential to impact market mood. Look forward to watching your videos.
486  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: July 03, 2015, 08:15:16 PM
Small announcement guys: I've decided to take pre-orders for those interested in the new run of bars. This is a slight change to how I have processed orders in the past (I have never taken preorders).
Previously I have taken names down in a reserve list- which is fine, but the bonus from taking preorders is that I can add to the manufacture order before it ships and prevent running out of bars- as has happened due to popularity in the past. It also has the added advantage of meaning I can package all orders as soon as I receive the new bars and get it out to you guys sooner. You have waited long enough and I truly appreciate your patience with this.

And it is because I value your patience that any preorder will get an extra gift as a special thank you.

If you have previously reserved a bar there is nothing you need to do- I will contact you. If you have not previously contacted me to reserve a bar, then pop me a message or post here and I will get in contact with you.

So to clarify- if you have reserved a bar, regardless if you preorder or not you have a bar reserved. This is a point of integrity and about keeping my word- these are already being manufactured (I have sent payment for them already).

As a special thank you, anyone who preorders and makes payment will receive a cool extra gift with their bar/s Smiley

Cheers! Have a nice weekend all! I will be around to answer questions for 20 minutes or so from now then I will reply to all messages tomorrow evening (around the same time as now).
487  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: July 03, 2015, 12:29:23 PM
Thanks Mitchell! That settles it. I'll continue to include both.
You could just ask people to specify what printer they have. Tongue

It wouldn't make any difference really- due to the limited run there unfortunately aren't any economies of scale to take advantage of! Otherwise I would happily offer a choice.
488  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: July 03, 2015, 12:15:34 PM
Hey guys, I'm thinking of just doing this run with InkJet labels, since laser printers are less common for personal use.

Thoughts? I'd love to hear a few before I go ahead and order.

Thanks!
I've had two laser printers in my 21 year lifetime. They are pretty common in surroundings, most of my classmates have a laser printer, because it's often quicker and cheaper.

Thanks Mitchell! That settles it. I'll continue to include both.

490  Economy / Speculation / Re: UK ETF launched? on: July 03, 2015, 10:50:28 AM
You will know when an ETF is launched because the news will be everywhere.

Maybe everywhere in the media we consume- I think at most a passing article on many mainstream outlets.
491  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Coin Making Guide- an eBook on making coins bars and physical bitcoin wallets! on: July 03, 2015, 06:24:12 AM
This really seems interesting, i always thought about making coins though i wonder if i can .
Does this also explain various verification processes we need to pass so to produce a coin ?

What verification process do you mean? I touch on dimensions and measurements, communicating specifics of materials and aesthetics to manufacturers and I also write a little about indicating purity of precious metals. If you mean the due diligence and checkboxes you need to tick for a coin project- then yes it does. But this can be relative. I have written in depth about my processes, you can use the same or modify them as you see fit!
492  Economy / Economics / Re: One-world reserve currency inevitable and will enslave all nations? on: July 02, 2015, 08:56:56 PM
So am I misunderstanding this . . .?

So his "solution" is NIRP and a cashless society to prevent anyone from escaping paying negative interest rates on their wealth. And use this resource extraction to continue to backstop the $250 trillion of debt in the world. In order words, Summers thinks we are stupid enough to be a dog chasing our tail wherein the excess "capital" is money we are expropriating from ourselves to prop up "capital" that would otherwise evaporate in a contagion of defaults. And then claim this excess capital that we stole from ourselves (via NIRP) is what is causing the excessive market demand for return of capital (aka safe haven) and thus NIRP.

Quote from: Plato, _Euthyphro_, 380 BCE
Soc. We shall know better, my good friend, in a little while. The point which I should first wish to understand is whether the [capital] or [money] is beloved by the [1‱] because it is [money], or [money] because it is beloved of the [1‱].
(Germaneness mine.)

Yes, you are.

Well if you are demonstrating that the large disparity indicates unsustainable decadence and exploitation in the upper echelons of power then I agree.

Been crazy hot here in Amsterdam lately! Finishing up the print/pdf version, hopefully it will be available some time next week Smiley
494  Economy / Economics / Re: One-world reserve currency inevitable and will enslave all nations? on: July 02, 2015, 08:23:12 PM
*Snip*

So am I misunderstanding this or is it advocating more tax on the wealthy? I'm not so convinced that this is a panacea to our social and economic ails. I do suspect that many of the wealthy would not be able to retain their immense material gain without the power of the state to rely upon. But perhaps this is not borne out in reality and stifling institutions develop and disintegrate naturally over time. Humans are selfish as a matter of course (perhaps my western bias shows here?), it's my hope that an information age will empower the masses to dissolve the myriad economies of scale that 'oppress' them. Perhaps that is too idyllic though- for the drudge can make an honour of slavery by bowing to and praising his oppressors.

The more I think about it, the more I wish a middle line was walked with governments not overstepping solid bounds. But as a favourite author of mine wrote "Tyranny exists because the weak and the powerful seek it". /rant

495  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Bitcoin the "Mark of the Beast"? Discussion on: July 02, 2015, 07:57:04 PM
Come on bit1. The mark of the beast is on hand or head and you're unable to buy or sell without it. No one knows or cares about bitcoin (at lesat in terms of the great unwashed). The mark of the beast is likely to be a one world currency as the thread you linked from.

498  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: June 30, 2015, 03:18:30 PM
Just an update- I'm struggling to find appropriately sized labels as there is a size difference. I've found some that will work so I can now finally order the next (and probably final) run of bars.

I have a list of those interested in pure silver- please pop me a message if you are interested in the plated version and I will make sure the run has enough for everyone.

Thanks!
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hard crash is imminent because of Greece on: June 30, 2015, 02:33:43 PM
the op title does not make sense, how the hell greece could trigger a crash in bitcoin, at best the contrary will happen, it's not like they were sitting on bitcoin since their crisis, and now they will sold those coins to regain their economy..

OP is trolling at its finest
that is exactly what i wanted to say.
how can bitcoin crash because of Greece?!!
Greeks are buying bitcoin with so much enthusiasm right now, as a result of incresed demand the price will rise, then others will join because they see movement while Greeks are still buying bitcoin.
this is demand increased double time.

I haven't heard about Greeks buying btc- most of those outside atms are probably pensioners wanting to get out what little they have in there. I'm sure that some Greeks must be, I find it hard to believe that they are the source of the rally though.
500  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Penny™ Commemorative Coins on: June 29, 2015, 08:09:29 AM
Isn't it dangerous to lay pennies on a train track? Undecided

Maybe we should put one on a tram track instead? Cheesy

Wanted to chime in on the thread too- this is a great idea for a coin, super cool! Smiley
