4981  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for a "Donate Bitcoin" button . on: November 19, 2010, 01:12:11 AM
You might want to post your bounty in the title.
4982  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Better mtgox chart on: November 18, 2010, 11:51:50 PM
Why you do not use flash charts? They are ready and free (small ads in the corner) and works fine.

Because flash sucks.
4983  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HUGE Donation Opportunity for Epic Change on: November 18, 2010, 11:10:10 PM
It is naive

If they invest in bitcoin they will not even be able to understand how much money they have: only that they had 100 500 BTC, then 200 000, then again the 100 000 and all this for a few hours.

We must fight for the stability of exchange rates rather than coverage. Otherwise it will have a negative effect, how to give tantrum in the moving to a Jabber from other IMs (in Russia, at least)

Um, how do we fight for stability? And what is the "right" rate. Fixing exchange rates requires endless resources or a military.

Rates want to be free!

If small minded people are bothered just use the words they like. "Bitcoins are on sale now! Limited time!" and "Your investment is a success! <pat on back>"

Simple. By speculation.
4984  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donations for Stefan Molyneux / Freedomain Radio (@117.50 BTC) on: November 18, 2010, 05:36:12 PM
I had sent a message to Satoshi and Stefan regarding a radio/youtube interview.

Neither one of them ever replied.

Maybe they're just incredibly busy?
4985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin domain name land grab is on on: November 18, 2010, 04:16:37 PM
Mt Gox should be renamed to Mt Grok.
4986  Economy / Economics / Re: BitCoin: a rube-goldberg machine for buying electricity on: November 18, 2010, 03:37:47 PM
Now he said that people don't like to use 0.0003 or something.

Nobody will be using a long form of 0.0003 but an exponential notation. Plus, why would anybody cry foul about everything GETTING cheaper.
4987  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Noagendamarket's Advertising Clearinghouse on: November 18, 2010, 02:54:14 PM
Dead in the water?  Huh

Im planning on offering a bounty to get this done. Nothing else seems to be working.

If someone can do a clone of http://www.projectwonderful.com/adsearch.php I am offering $350 for the job. Payment is on completion. Add this to the thread title Kiba.

Shouldn't the bounty be in bitcoin?
4988  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The Niche List on: November 18, 2010, 02:53:40 PM
added dating site.
4989  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Noagendamarket's Advertising Clearinghouse on: November 18, 2010, 08:04:21 AM
Dead in the water?  Huh
4990  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The Niche List on: November 18, 2010, 08:03:57 AM
I'm all for a vWorker/freelancer style site that pays bounties in bitcoin. This way, people can do some useful work for bitcoins, instead of complaining it is hard to get free money with mining.

It would need to be secure and have some kind of escrow system. So unlike posting requests on the forum, the worker has to be sure that he gets his reward. It also needs to include a reputation system of some kind.

I have extensive Python/C++ programming expertise, also with transactional and distributed systems, and I might be interested to do the coding for such a site. I would need someone to do the site design/layout/user friendliness stuff though Smiley

Added your niche. Remember, I will pester people about their progress!
4991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Smart Card on: November 18, 2010, 07:54:03 AM

Secondly a phone is more cumbersome than: insert, check amount, pin.

But a smartphone is a gaming device, camera, phone, and a computer at the same time.
4992  Economy / Services / Re: project for a developer on: November 18, 2010, 07:51:58 AM
It would be good if freelancer or odesk accepted payment in bitcoin.....

Yeah, which brings us back to that we really need a kind of job distribution site based on bitcoins. IMHO that has a higher priority than patching vbulletin.
If people have ways to earn bitcoins and make themselves useful in the process, they might also complain less about the mining process Smiley

We call them bounties.
4993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Smart Card on: November 18, 2010, 07:40:05 AM
Smartphones are more futureproof than bitcoin smart card?
4994  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I'm now accepting bitcoin! on: November 18, 2010, 07:25:00 AM
I am running out of bitcoins(pledges, bounty donation, etc), so I can't hire you or anybody to make graphics.

If and when I have enough bitcoins, I might commission you to do a graphic novel for a story I have in mind. It's called the The Mystery Of Satoshi Nakamoto, which over-dramatize and totally made up about how and why Satoshi invented bitcoins.

Other than that, keep an eyes for bitcoin meme bounties. This is something I will definitely do more in the future. The pledges from me will be small amount, but you might be incentivized by bigger pledges. Others may offer bounty for other type of bitcoin graphics.
4995  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donations for Stefan Molyneux / Freedomain Radio (@117.50 BTC) on: November 18, 2010, 03:54:07 AM
Did he say he will interviewing Satoshi, the mystery man who invented bitcoin?
4996  Economy / Economics / BitCoin: a rube-goldberg machine for buying electricity on: November 18, 2010, 02:35:01 AM
http://xifin.wordpress.com/2010/11/18/bitcoin-a-rube-goldberg-machine-for-buying-electricity/

Damning criticism with faint praise.

I am not sure how to answer it myself as I don't completely understand how bitcoins work.(lack of cryptographic knowledge)
4997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using mathamatical proofs as currency backing on: November 18, 2010, 01:36:04 AM
No one say it'll be easy to fight against authorities for the right of self-determination in economic and social affair. It takes some bravery, some discipline, and absolute moral clarity.

Liberty is not without cost.
4998  Economy / Services / Re: project for a developer on: November 17, 2010, 10:04:45 PM
No interest here or over at vbulletin.org

What am I doing wrong?  Not enough money?  Bad idea?
 Huh

Our small community size meant that it will take time for somebody to decide that this project is worth their time.

Also, your bounty would benefit from the price mentioned in the title of this thread.
4999  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Android Bitcoin Client Bounty (890 BTC pledged) on: November 17, 2010, 12:13:01 PM
I'll pledge 800 BTC too.

Done.
5000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GALORE! Contest Judging. (40 BTC prize) on: November 16, 2010, 11:04:03 PM
I am obviously voting for mine #3 with the girls.  Grin

Do I get bonus points for using cute anime girls or do I not?  Maybe some sort of secondary prize?  Prob not fair to award me bonus points anyway.
Sorry, I just changed the rules so contestants can't vote.
