All this sounds like a hackers gold mine, i bet they can't wait for all this to start too.

Gold mine of what? If you want to connect to a courier bot, you need a key.

Sadly, the project is dead(for now).

It's odd. I can do torturous running activities yet I can't write a novel.

A big part of the winning idea.... of Flattr.... is the idea of ONE FLAT BUDGETED AMOUNT per month... no matter how many items you "like" (click on) that month.

Actually I thought that was the big DISadvantage of Flattr/Kachingle et. al.

Let's say I'm at a blogger site and happen to really like his most recent blog entry.  I might want to tip him 0.05 BTC.  That doesn't mean I want to tip him 0.05 every month.  Maybe I'll never come back to that website again.  I don't want to make a lifetime commitment, just say 'thanks' once.

I think he means that it doesn't matter how many time you tip someone. You will always only donate a percentage amount in your flattr account for THIS MONTH. You don't tip him forever.

13 years of government propaganda and brainwashing is most to blame for the inability of people to see clearly.

More like a lack of economic education and the ability to resist economic education. Teaching why free trade is good is like trying to convince creationist that evolution is a true theory.

The hard part is...execution.
5027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Needs a "Tip Jar" Widget system like Flattr on: November 13, 2010, 04:18:39 AM
But there is no monetary incentives for a system like flattr to keep running. Perhaps, .1 %?

The writer have a very...sophisticated understanding of bitcoins.

You could offer a bounty for such widgets to motivate hackers to code. It work effectively for the chromium extension.

I guess we're too radical, even for the seasteading community.  Cheesy
5032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open Transactions: untraceable digital cash on: November 12, 2010, 01:49:17 PM
I think that neural networks are going to be a huge thing. The internet will soon become I giant AI hive mind of neural networks and human integration with this system will become more sophisticated with direct brain-to-computer interfaces. We are becoming the internet; the next phase of evolution. cool shit! :-)

I have this idea called "protocol AI" in my novel. The idea is that business interaction are mediated by a network of AI whom jobs is to learn reputation, make judgement calls, and so on. They are manned by game theory experts, who are called judges, but their real job is to make their protocol AI the best mediator on the internet.

Bitcoins already have opinion valuing it. It's currently valued at .20 cents. They already gambled with it, spectulate on it, even brought pizza with it, and spend serious amount of money to mine for bitcoins, and so on. Plus, it already proven to be safer than paypal dollars.

5039  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Motivate your local stores to become bitcoin exchanges! on: November 11, 2010, 02:28:03 PM
I like the idea that perhaps they could be persuaded to SELL bitcoins for CASH.
Stores like selling things.  Especially things their customers keep asking for.
And stores LOVE cash.
If they were to keep being ASKED, "Do you sell bitcoin digital currency?"  Before long they'll be seeking it out!
I know the guy who owns the convenience store in my building.  I could help him set it up.
I wonder how much his transaction fees would have to be... to make it worth it...?

But who will buy bitcoins other than you?
