So you are an American building the company in America.  Do you have any response to this?  Sounds pretty important if the company is going to keep going ahead with building a DC.

I was quoting that more for the whole "nefario was fired from intersango" part than the "Americans are fucked" part.
522  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 28, 2012, 05:28:12 PM
I'm crossquoting this from the TYGRR delisting thread

This is starting to remind me of bitcoinica and intersango behaviour. The users dont deserve to get screwed over because the owner of a site has a hissy fit.

I hope it works out amicably and soon.

Nefario used to work for Intersango but got fired when he froze my account the first time.

I don't know if there is much more I can do until Nefario deals with this and explains his actions.

I have also been looking into some of the legal stuff and I don't know if I can accept "codes" or assets from people who I know are Americans. I might even have to check IDs and address. I let GLBSE act as the broker and the exchange before so now that they want me to make more actions than I agreed to I will have to check and see if it is in fact legal and what is the legal way to do it.

This has become a mess and I agree it is the asset holders who will be hurt most.

Anyway if anyone know more about Americans dealing with securities directly with other Americans please let me know. Thanks.

This seems to be a troll thread.

OBSI sold 1MHS shares for 0.10 and bought them back for 0.10, and he also sold ABMO shares for 0.10 and bought them back for 0.10, and he is also in the process of buying back all of HRPT for IPO price.

So, if hes such the scammer you claim he is, why is he buying them back at all?

But has he bought back at .1 for HRPT? Bid is .02 and ask is .03 with 24 hour average at .044    ?

Well, if people are stupid enough to be selling it below IPO price, I can't blame him for buying it back at low prices.
24 hour volume is only 63 BTC. To me it does not look like he is buy much, if any up.

He mentioned he was going to buy back OBSI.HRPT at market prices before he disappeared. The number of shares receiving dividend has dropped slightly. Perhaps he will buy up to IPO price (0.1 btc), perhaps not, so it makes sense to sell the shares for what you can get. Although, if he is going to buy them all back, then you could make a lot of money by buying at market price and selling at IPO price. But then again, he might only buy back some and then stop.

Futurefund was given a final dividend near market price and then the asset was delisted.

Actually, GLBSE is fucked up. When you use the interface to buy back shares, it shows it as a large dividend. 1MHS and ABMO were also delisted this way as well. I have no reason to believe Obsi won't also delist his final asset, HRPT, correctly as well. He has no interest in screwing people, he was just tired of nefario's bullshit.

Please note: nefario has locked my GLBSE account and most likely stolen the backing money of the insurance fund. Until this is resolved, do not buy any more shares of DI.BFLSC.

Why was your account locked?

Nefario was trolled into believing I was stealing from DMC instead of actually looking at my account and noticing Ive never withdrawn BTC from my DMC subaccount.
528  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Insurance - Butterfly Labs BitForce SC Insurance (7,829:27,403) on: September 28, 2012, 04:38:23 AM
My GLBSE account has finally been unlocked.

DI.BFLSC sales end October 1st, so if you're going to buy in, buy in now.

27,403 shares sold of DI.BFLSC.Fail
7,829 shares sold of DI.BFLSC.Success

Pray tell what on earth makes you think its a good idea to buy your own shares at 50% over NAV, when you could just as well have bought more of the exact same shares DMC holds  50% cheaper?

Most of them were purchased at below 0.07.
530  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 27, 2012, 10:46:47 AM
you bought them up to 0.12

0.10. Some other guy is buying them past that, dunno who.
531  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 27, 2012, 10:27:47 AM
D3, can you please start using some type of accounting/portfolio management software so you can generate reports with proper content in the future?
Someone has to be the fist to show the way Smiley

Actually, smickles wants to have DMC as his first customer of his accounting firm. Problem is, he won't have shop setup until after the first, so we might have to suffer through my horrible monthly reports one last time.

533  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 27, 2012, 09:21:29 AM
Do any of you have older shares outstanding data (this is not the same as issued)?
GLBSE shows that DMC has 12773 shares outstanding
 Diabolo announced today:
Code:
iablo-D3 | I dunno, I bought almost 10k dmc shares back

20909 before the buyout, 12773 after. There is still a standing order for the last ~2000.
534  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 27, 2012, 06:04:52 AM
nefario emailed me and said my account is now unlocked and also the one guy that he found that would do the audit backed out.

So, after an almost month long trip, we're exactly back to where we originally were.

Also, ABMO has shut down and has paid out a final dividend of 0.1 per share. Its sad to see Obsi go, but nefario's actions chased him off.

Current DMC holdings:
54 BTC-MINING
951 BTCMC
949.53 BTC.

GLBSE isnt entirely at fault and you know it.
Obsi was an anonymous person running  what seemed like a ponzi scheme and when called out on it he turned tail and ran. The best defence we have against someone running scams in future is for them to be known. If you havent noticed most of the remaining ponzi schemes have fled to cryptostocks most likely because the issuers are too chicken shit to have any personal responsibility to shareholders.

Except Obsi bought back ABMO back at full IPO price, and is also (or already has) shut down the rest of his assets at no loss to the shareholders. Obsi quit because he didn't like how nefario handled DMC.

Did he ever say why you locked you down? Surly he must at least give a reason why he locked it down an asset for a month. And if he was worried about something, is he no longer worried?

He believed somehow I was stealing funds from DMC, at least, this is what he said. Problem with that is, he can look right at my account and see if I've withdrawn BTC or not.

Angry neighborhood bastard mod here.

Luke, what did I tell you about trolling the noobs? Cut it out before one of the admins decide to either scammer/troll tag you or ban you.

Jesus. Those VRMs AMD uses are usually safe up to 120c for 24/7 usage (the same way GPUs are safe up to 85c for 24/7 usage), hes really trashing them. Also 90% fan? More like dead fan.

Also on the 7970's in AB you can control your mem volts. I have mine all the way down and my mem stays relatively cool. Just a thought.

I don't see anything about mem volts in AB. In fact, AB has never really worked as advertised for me.
With unofficial overclocking in mode 2, I can get the core clock to where I want it, and the mem clock down to about 650 before it gets unstable, but I never have been able to get anything related to voltage working.

@DiabloD3: The water block I have seems to be working fine. I wonder if the lack of fans on the VRMs is affecting temps? Shouldn't the water block cool the VRMs also?

I think consumer/prosumer/enthusiast watercooling is pointless. That said, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't have a full block on there that covers everything: gpu, memory, and VRMs. If there are any chips exposed at all and they dont have normal air cooled heatsinks with a fan blowing on them, you have a problem.

Wow, I wonder if your VRMs are overheating. My 7970 sometimes overheats to the point that the machine hangs on boot at 1125 on really hot days, so maybe thats what happened with you.

I guess it's possible, but if it was going to overheat, wouldn't it have done it during the summer?
My office stays a bit warm (78F+/-) but is pretty constant throughout the year.
AB and GPU-Z report full burn temps of around 74c, but maybe they aren't monitoring the VRMs?

Unless your card has a really retarded heatsink setup, 74c is fine, I wasn't having issues until I was >80c for 8 hours at a whack.
