so i got laid off on December 9th. good times, lemme tell ya. unemployment won't kick in until next week, and i'm late rent. i've got a week to get 800 bucks, in short.

which my tax refund should cover three times over! yay!

but i can't GET it in the next week. BOO!

any ideas?

all i have is my final paystub. no w-2, i'd only worked for the job from feb of 2015 to december 9.

not asking for a loan or anything (i still owe marcotheminer a few coins...) like that, but ideas to get my tax refund early, or a loan on that.

any ideas?

You can file your taxes based on your last paystub but i would'nt advise it. Sometimes the last paystub doesn't match the W-2 information and then you would have to file an amended return in the future.

Just wait the extra week or so....it's not worth the Bullshit with those thieves at the I.R.S.

that's what i was afraid of... ugh.

I closed my 20x leveraged long for now at $470 with a profit margin of 358%. I'll decided if I'll take another gamble after the coin sale tomorrow.

oh, only 358%? what small returns...

why yes, i AM being sarcastic.

i don't know if i should look into trading borrowed money or run screaming the other way.

If you are trying to buy BTC with fiat, then why don't you use WU, or a cash deposit? You would probably end up getting a much better rate, even if you went with one of the exchangers in the currency exchange section Smiley

I'm merely being lazy and not wanting to get verified on stamp... And for some reason my debit card doesn't work on virwox.
Well if you have $200 in cash then you could just open a thread in the Currency Exchange section saying that you want to buy $200 worth of bitcoin and can pay with Western Union/Money Gram/Walmart to Walmart. I'd say there is a good chance you would get within ~2-3% of the market rate within ~24 hours or so and W2W only costs $4.5 to sent up to $450 (I think - I know it is $9 to send up to $900)

I'll check into that. Thanks.

What the heck is purse?

I'm not going to state what the lowest i'd accept is, but let's say 10% as a starting point.

558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: April 26, 2015, 03:21:24 PM
That is actually interesting. 4 years on, the price is $200 with a high of around $1k

yup. great gains compared to the start of the thread. even still, not everyone who was around in the early days got rich. some of us didn't have anything to invest back then. the most i had at one time was about 20 coins, and that was before we broke 100. spent most of it back then too.
559  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] $200 in amazon giftcards for btc. on: April 26, 2015, 03:12:25 PM
hey guys.

so i've got $230 USD worth of amazon giftcards (technically i haven't bought them yet, so desired amount is flexible and such) that i'm looking to sell for BTC. gotta make a loan payment...

obviously there'll be a mark down, but i'd prefer to get as close to 1 btc as possible.
