32 shares are left in R12.

If we oversell, don't worry, we'll fit you into an R13, if necessary.  Grin

Can I buy using bitcoins? Well this is interesting. Also can I sell the shares back?
Yes you can pay in Bitcoins.

We do allow you to sell your shares to other users if you really wanted to but they purchaser would need to pay a 0.75% fee for the exchange.

That fee is for an exchange of your share or shares to another person, where the new person pays the exchange fee (since we can't force the orig. buyer to send us BTC if they bailed with the buy out funds). Hopefully, the new buyer won't be blindsided by this fact, as that's not right to sell a share without giving them this info.

We're GB Coordinators, we're not an exchange, and to handle tons of exchange requests doesn't add any value to the GB that we work hard to build, and  would slow us down from our primary goal of providing some of the world's best values to as many people as we can.

As for pre-orders, we offer refunds at a 1.5% restock fee up until the hardware ships.

Thanks guys. Welcome back!

Hey high110. Thanks and welcome aboard!

These boards should be in tomorrow for R11/12. We had expected all rounds to arrive at the same time but they had to break it up in order to ship to us faster and not delay the entire shipment an extra day.

In other words: Black Arrow was looking out for us by doing it this way. This seems to be a recurring pattern from what I've seen so far from this particular company.

I had heard from bobsag3 that the shipment arrived today for R9/10. I haven't seen him online much which is rare  Cheesy So I know that he must be being a busy bee with other fellow nerds.  Grin

Thanks Bob! Chug chug chug away, my man.
564  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED*]R1B: HashFast Baby Jet Upgrade Promo - DZ MC Round 1. Batch 1. Mahalo! on: October 31, 2013, 08:23:02 PM
abuelau, did you upgrade you original share(s)?

Yes I did.
So that means you (and me and they) have 1/40 per share  plus the Upgrade for $1500 (400 Gh/s)
Total 800 Gh/s at stock estimates.. (the Upgrade supposed to be shipped 1 month later)
MPP will kick in sometime after 3 month if ("blah blah blah" (c) HashFasf)

sorry can't explain better..

That was a perfect explanation. Thanks firsttimeuser.  Cheesy
565  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good price at CEX.io on: October 31, 2013, 05:36:49 PM
Thanks to an exclusive deal: I've got some Black Arrow Bullet Run boards that arrived today at our host facility in Missouri (with bobsag3, one of our co-op leaders) which handily beats cex.io's prices by 39% (as of late last night), and will be hashing by tomorrow at the very latest.

The Black Arrow GB Rounds have done so well we're halfway thru selling out 4 complete Black Arrow Rounds and may have to open a 5th.

And our business insured pro hosting prices are lower than theirs. In fact: they're lower than anyone's; even KnC and Cointerra Pro Hosting). Please click the 12th Group Buy link in my sig if you're interested in hashrate (in operation today and tomorrow) at a much lower price.

I'm told the R9 and R10 boards are already at our colo site!

"Boxes and Boxes..."

R11-12 boards are about 12 hours behind.

This round is now open.

In fact: this 4th BA Round is already halfway sold out.  Cheesy

50 shares available.*

* Oversales will be moved to a R13, if necessary.

Well, I also snagged a few more but guessing they will be rolled to R12.  Confusing Smiley  Is there a sheet anywhere we can see what we have where?  I think I now have them in R10, R11, and R12!

Hey madpoet,

Sorry, about the confusion. bobsag3 cleared some of it. I have to apologize about the ordering process. Here's why it's all janky:

- Our site currently uses free tools that aren't very old or well developed at the moment as far as the intricacies of e-commerce, IMO.
- Double or phantom orders can still occur with this current site (essentially our beta site) due to nonpayment of orders entered. That means a Round could show as out of stock, even when it's really not.
- Because of this, and since this is all the same Bullet Run with ample stock at the moment, we set up stock with backorders allowed, so that people wouldn't be locked out of making an order due to double or phantom orders.

We're in talks with two good programmers to redesign and relaunch our site. We're even going pro and will be launching a for-profit (but still cheapest) cloudhashing arm of our operations. Please PM us if you're interested.

==

BTW, R11 is CLOSED.

R12 is already halfway sold out, but backorders are allowed. Please move new conversations/orders/questions to the R12 thread. Mahalo!

BTC0.97+ in 24 hours? I assumed we'd never see that again. Shocked
maybe for few more days?

I hope you understand why I was pushing for changing firmware so much , It was not all non-sense Wink

https://blockchain.info/charts/difficulty
Could you please stop that ^"nonsense"?
P.S. Yes, I know Jupiters hash rate slowed down a little..

No, that's fine. We want input from everyone. We all might not agree on everything, but we want everyone's input.

At the same time, as the co-op leaders (along with Thomas) we have to look out for *all* of our interests and that includes making sure that we do our best to not let any magic smoke out of magical Bitcoin miners, which is why I push to let others take the risks of testing new firmware *for* us, for free.  Grin

My view is: Why should we clear landmines for others if there's already so many landmine volunteers?
570  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: cex.io vs https://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19 on: October 31, 2013, 07:49:31 AM
Sorry to rain on your parade for...well...both of these options. I just ran some numbers at cex.io just so I could figure out how badly we beat the competition.

At cex.io right now: 1GH/s = 0.1 BTC. So: 10 GH/s costs you 1 BTC, or $200 at BTC's current rate of $200 (as of 10/30 10PM HST)

I have Black Arrow Bullet Run boards arriving TOMORROW in Missouri at my partner's host facility (bobsag3), in which case, we expect to be hashing on November 1.

In our Round 12 Group Buy featuring these Black Arrow Bullet Run boards with Bitfury (instead of Minion) chips, our lil co-op is managing to beat the big boys at cex.io by a whopping 39%: $123 vs. $200

No joke. Check it out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321862.0

==

I haven't run the numbers on hosting fees, but it's likely a wash or we handily beat them there too since our hosting prices beat everyone else's on that end as well (even CoinTerra and KnC Hosting can't beat our pricing). Just sayin. Wink  Cheesy
571  Bitcoin / Group buys / ROUND 12 PAYMENT DETAILS on: October 31, 2013, 07:14:23 AM
Round 12 Payment Details (Similar to R7-R11, for the most part)

========================================================================

R12 Orders should be placed here: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=379

BTC Payments will be directed to thomas_s via our site for R12 but I will have co-admin to this wallet for auditing or for payments if we're in a rush. We've worked together on 8 different Group Buys with great success including 2 of the fastest GB sellouts in the forum's history for Industrial class Rigs.

For US Customers: for a 3%  fee for USD conversion to BTC, we recommend: www.cashintocoins.com a FinCen compliant MSB who can get BTC sent to the wallet address you want in as little as 15 minutes to an hour.

For Intl. Customers: We are still exploring suggestions for inexpensive BTC conversion but I can recommend www.bitstamp.net at this time as that's the exchange rate used by our payment processor.

PayPal payments (UPDATE): If payment is being made by Paypal place an order on the site and place a note on the order when you place it saying you're paying by paypal...then give whoever you are buying BTC from the order # and the payment address. Please make sure to send it as a gift to "friends and family." This helps keep your share prices as low as possible (no PP fees) and well as protects us against illegal chargebacks after BTC deposits have already been paid out in November. Sorry, this is no longer available. This payment method is "sold out."

If there's any concerns about registering your payment, please follow up with a PM to Thomas or a support ticket. There's two methods to resolve this:

A. Send a support ticket on our website www.dzminercoop.com

OR

B: PM to thomas_s on this site

Subject: DZ HF GB R12, x shares, x BTC
Details: Please include Tx ID, your wallet address for payout, and any concerns you may have about your transaction(s)

==

thomas_s -  Primary GBC for Rounds 5-10. Co-GBC during R3-R7. R2 member. Send BTC payments and questions for R12 to thomas_s . Set up Online Auto Reservations for the co-op!

DZ - Need escrowed Group Buy shares? For a 2% extra fee you get 3rd party fund holding, dispute resolution, and $500 insurance per transaction at BTCrow. [DISCLAIMER: I, DyslexicZombei, am an approved Escrow Affiliate at BTCrow.] Please PM Carbon Copy thomas_s please prior to escrow payment.

===============================================================================================================

NEW! 10/18 UPDATE from Thomas:

"Bobsag3 will be accepting wire transfers (for 20+ shares) and chase quick pay (any quantity of shares). and credit cards by Square https://squareup.com/market/miner-hosting-llc/share-r-bitfury-gh-s-min-ups-backup

10/21 Update: Square decided apple bobbing is better than providing service to their customers because Bitcoin = Scary = Eating Square's lunch. They'd rather be run over by the BTC train instead of hopping on to take advantage of a much cheaper remittance infrastructure.

CC payments are currently suspended; we're working on something more long term. Fortunately, Thomas S. works in finance.

Thomas_s will be accepting TD bank and CitiBank (USA) checks (any quantity of shares). At this time no other banks checks are being accepted.

*These payment options are only available for Rounds that don't need BTC conversions. (At the moment the only open Round(s) are 8 and 11)

I've also located the reason for the zombie rounds...apparently there is a bug in the site where it reduces the stock when the order is placed and when it is paid.

The updates on the forum were going by what the site displayed which was effectively doubling what was actually sold so that's where those shares magically popped up from
"

===

Thomas is handling questions and collecting payments for R12 via our site (unless you require Escrow, in which case you can PM me). He set up the automated reservation site and the GB with my input. Great work Thomas, and it's definitely an improvement over me trying to keep up w/ an avalanche of PMs and payments.  Tongue

I will still handle or assist in:

- Ordering
- Shipping details
- (Optional) Escrowed GB shares for those that insist on Escrow Protection from a 3rd party for: holding BTC funds, post-sales dispute resolution, $500 insurance per transaction at 2% extra cost to share price. Semi-automated Escrow is done thru BTCrow.
- Remote miner setup
- Remote troubleshooting/
- Incremental overclocking
- Payouts or assist in payouts
- Auditing hashrate vis-a-vis payouts
- Dispute resolution and arbitration, if necessary. [Should be rare as we're all adults that don't need to yell. Tongue]

Refunds: If we can't raise the funds to buy the full 800GH/s, we'll just order smaller modules with less hashrate. Refunds are discouraged because of the chaos caused in Group Buys, but if necessary, you will be refunded before the miner ships, at a 1.5% restock fee. After the miner ships, no refunds are available.

By sending payment, you agree to these Refund terms before purchase.

===============================================================================================================

NEW (10/21) Share Ownership Transfer Fee: There is now a 0.75% Ownership transfer fee if you're buying someone else's DZ MC co-op shares. We put a ton of time, money, and BTC to offer the GB community many of the world's best at-cost and below-cost deals. Refunds and share transfers cause chaos and extra work for us.

This 0.75% share transfer fee *MUST* by paid by the new owner before we will transfer share ownership.
572  Bitcoin / Group buys / [CLOSED] R12: Black Arrow BF Bullet Run $123 = 39% cheaper than cex.io! on: October 31, 2013, 07:13:16 AM
ZERO shares available out of 100

At cex.io on 10/30 PM, 1GH = 0.1 BTC. Therefore: 1 BTC or about $200 (at BTC rates of $200) equals 10 GH/s there.

In this GB, $123 yields you the *same* hashrate which will be hashing by November 1 at about 39% cheaper than cex.io!

We also price our shares in USD so you don't get screwed over by BTC volatility.

We are also using Bitfury chips, so it's not like their 39% more expensive 10 GH/s boards are better than one of our 10 GH/s boards
.  Cheesy  Grin

10/31 update: R10/R11 boards have arrived! R11/R12 boards should arrive tomorrow.  Grin

10/30 PM Update: Our Bullet Run Black Arrow boards cleared customs in Kentucky! They arrive in Missouri tomorrow. Smiley You can still order here: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=379

We still actually have 40 shares available in R11, at the moment. This thread is set up to handle overflow from R11 sales.

If we run out of stock, please go ahead and still place an order as backorders are allowed and will be fulfilled. Once 100 R12 shares are all sold out, any additional PAID R12 shares will be automatically moved to a Round 13.

10/28 Update, boards are due for shipment TONIGHT. We expect a tracking number shortly. Latest pics from prototype testing:

10/26 Update: We have a shipping estimate update. These boards are due for shipment in the next 24 hours and is scheduled for delivery to Missouri. They will be installed and running ASAP: bobsag3 will be joined by 2 EEs and a CE on that first day, in order to help get miners up and running quickly.

THIS IS NOT A PRE-ORDER. THIS BULLET RUN BATCH IS ALREADY IN PRODUCTION nearly complete.

Ladies and gents: we appear to have another Flash Sale type situation!
Except this one is even better because it's being offered 40% cheaper than elsewhere, 8.2% cheaper then updated prices and 39% cheaper than cex.io!

Shipping is GUARANTEED by November 1 OR WE GET OUR MONEY BACK.
This is an EXCLUSIVE OFFER just for the DZ MC.
Confirmed by Black Arrow in R9: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=311465.msg3357314#msg3357314

bobsag3, one of the DZ MC leaders and our primary vetted miner host who runs a professional insured ASIC colocation facility called Miner Hosting LLC, is now an Official US Reseller for Black Arrow! Congrats Bob! http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/usa-reseller.html

Because of this: he is offering us first access to BELOW COST prices on Black Arrow's Bullet Run using Bitfury chips!

R11 Product Link: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?product=r11-40-off-black-arrow-bullet-run-with-bitfury

===============================================================================================================

We will be getting the very first Black Arrow miners over *THREE MONTHS EARLIER* than Black Arrow's official launch on February 24 (using their 100GH/s Minion chip instead). Bob's paid a hefty premium to get this done in a jiffy and production is ongoing as you read this. I won't mention the assembly partners yet (perhaps bobsag3 can shed light on this) but I consider them to be trusted forum members/manufacturers with good reputations who have already handled a lot of business. I also have a prior relationship with the assembler from other co-op and forum related work.

This offer is at least 40% less expensive than the closest comparable Bitfury 41.7GH/s deal
in the same delivery window of early November.

For Round 11: We will be doing 20 Bitfury boards capable of 41.7-50GH/s each, for a hashrate of 834GH/s up to 1000GH/s.

100 shares will be offered. 1 share is worth 1/100th of the machine's hashrate.

=========================================================================================================================================

Ergo: 1 share = $123 = 8.34 - 10 GH/s + 20 min. UPS backup +
1 month free hosting thanks to bobsag3 with the world's least expensive professional insured ASIC hosting
+ TO BE SHIPPED NOVEMBER 1, 2013 OR YOUR $/BTC BACK!

=========================================================================================================================================

100 shares available!*

Target machine is a BLACK ARROW Bullet Run using already delivered Bitfury chips, with boards in production THIS MONTH, instead of their own 100GH/s Minion chips in late February: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/prospero-x-1.html

If you missed out on Round 9-11: no worries!

Round 12 will arrive shortly after R9-11 to Miner Hosting LLC, bobsag3's professional ASIC specific colocation facility with business insurance and the world's lowest hosting/management fees at 2.75%. The DZ MC is the premier customer at this facility and was designed with my input as a Network Engineer.

Bitfury 16x board (Qty. 20, 834-1000 GH/s):

Size: 134.5 x 120.5mm
Output power: up to 80A
Input Voltage: 12V
Output Voltage: 0.7-1.0V (default @0.9V)
4 x Heatsinks
2 x Fan
SPI conneciton through flexible flat cables.
Power switch
Fused
On/off led

More pics at: http://s286.photobucket.com/user/SurfSkateKauai/library/?sort=3&page=1

Target hashrate for Round 11 is 834GH/s 1,000GH/s+ with 100 shares issued. If there's additional demand for 40% below-cost Black Arrow BitFury shares, we can accommodate oversales. We have extra A/C cooling so we can incrementally push hashrate further than normal.

40% (or more) Below-cost Share price is: $123 for 8.34 - 10GH/s, shipping November 1 or your $/BTC back! In addition: these BTC funds will *NOT* be touched until the boards are hashing or if refunds are necessary (in which case, you *still* get to keep the FREE hashrate after the refund!).

Hosting/Management fees are applied during payouts every 2 weeks, and are the world's lowest professional hosting/management fees at only 2.75% For Round 11, the first month of hosting is FREE* (* a 0.5% management fee still applies). Thanks Bob!

Your share includes an estimated 20 minutes of power protection built into the below-cost share price. Power protection from outages, sags, and spikes come from an APC UPS with Battery Bank to keep the BTC flowing during short power outages. The DZ MC has even purchased an additional A/C unit for extra cooling, and a Gas Generator for longer outages. DZ MC miners will be run in an extra cold, enclosed A/C cooled cabinet built by bobsag3 and other engineers at his pro colo facility.

This R12 BLACK ARROW Bullet Run deal using Bitfury chips is EXCLUSIVE TO THIS COOPERATIVE. You will *not* see these low prices *anywhere* else and you will *not* see Black Arrow miners elsewhere on the GB forum at this time. You will be getting early November access to the very first Black Arrow Bullet Run Prosperos running Bitfury chips, instead of Minion chips in February. These boards are even going through weekend assembly to meet the shipping deadline.

bobsag3 is willing to pay for the domain name and hosting fees, as well as care for the GB Mining Pool server itself. We also seem to have quite a bit of software support with an amazing amount of software programming skill diversity for something like this within our own co-op.

In return, we'd have our own zero fee Mining Pool that will be tailored for Group Buy Coordinators and Group Buyers (as in everyone has their own dashboards for their own miners). Group Buy Coordinators/Organizers who chose to use this GB Forum Pool would benefit from zero  fee mining pool services and our co-op's resources and willing programmers.

=================================================================================================================

Please discuss your concerns or interest in supporting such a GB specific Mining Pool. Also, please provide suggestions that may help with things like: security, anti-DDOS measures, maximizing payouts, etc., etc.

Of course: we can have failover pools elsewhere but it might be nice to have a mining pool to call our own as a primary mining pool option, with all of the advantages and benefits that can be associated with it if it's tuned/tweaked just for us.

=================================================================================================================

I can likely pledge our co-op's entire hashrate to this if there's enough interest, which is currently at 8.2-11TH/s total ordered miners, and accounting for overclocking above nominal hashrate. That: combined with -Redacted-, bobsag3 and if all his customers signed on, we'd likely be up to about 30-40TH/s right there, as the start of a GB specific Mining Pool.

Please keep in mind that the Bitcoin protocol is meant to be decentralized, and not centered in a handful of giant pools with all the risks of 51% attacks that could entail.

Thoughts about the whole concept?

Cheers,
DZ

First boards are already in the US! The last tracking location was Louisville, Kentucky.

It needs to pass Customs essentially. From the UPS site:

"Registered with Clearing Agency. Shipment release pending Clearing Agency review. / Shipment submitted to Clearing Agency, awaiting final release. "

BTW, R10 is closed, so we can move any additional conversations or purchases to this thread. Cheers.

Thanks everyone for making R10, the Revenge of R10, a success.

Please move new buys and public questions to the R11 thread.

Cheers!

Is projected hashrate per share 12-15? (600GH/s - 850GH/s)

I trust you guys will be able to get turbo out of it with your experience :p.

I should be able to put a dent in them shares before Oct 31st, when is the delivery due?

Yes, that seems to be closer to actual hashrate. We'll be kicking the tires on overclocking since we have site specific conditions that baby these miners vis-a-vis power/cooling/internet.

This reminds me: thanks to the extra value of BTC that we just passed on to you all, the actual nominal and turbo hashrates for R8 shares is now officially estimated to be 25GH per Coincraft chip at nominal, 40GH/s per Coincraft chip at Turbo, so I can give you some estimates. Therefore:

R8 Share ~= 600 GH/s / 47 shares = 12.76 GH/s ea.

R8 Share - Turbo
~= 960GH/s / 47 shares = 17.87 GH/s ea.

Not too shabby for $60 and with all of our exclusive co-op bonuses included.

Remember: These are estimates and if the hardware is behaving well, we'll see about getting even more hashrate without damaging our equipment.

We have a UPS tracking number.  Grin

Our BA boards are on their way, and are scheduled for delivery at the end of the day on 10/31, to be fully hashing on 11/1.

Thank you to everyone that participated in this exclusive Group Buy Bullet Run Sale with Black Arrow boards.

AFAIK: As Black Arrow's Official US Reseller, bobsag3 will be *the* first US Custom Hardware vendor who will have actual miners on the shelf, ready to be shipped as soon as someone pays for them.

Congratulations Bob! That's a heckuva accomplishment from one of our own.  Smiley

That is a bit of a low offer -- I've already had a couple in the thirties. I would like to get at least 40 for it, but I may have to resort to eBay.

FWIW: At $200 per Bitcoin, 35 BTC would be roughly equiv. (about $100 less after shipping/insurance + ebay fees) to a $8000 sale at ebay if you don't have a store like most people.

Ergo: if you get a 35BTC offer, take it my man! Plus, no charge back risk.

Since I'm an official escrow affiliate there, I can escrow the transaction at 1.5% via BTCrow if anyone is interested.

Cheers,
DZ

I say we read that with a grain of salt and wait for other canaries to test the firmware before us.

I told you guys as someone that's a veteran pro to R&D that these miners are prototypes. Some poor miners chasing 10-30GH/s sometimes end up bricking a unit in the process like that poor guy czz in the CH forum whose problems began immediately after .97 was launched and he installed it coincidentally.

He has lost completely unrecoverable hashing time and hashrate in the process. He will likely never reach ROI unless he can take advantage of arbitrage, somehow. I wish that I could've helped him further.

Let's not be the canary in the coal mine (AKA first to install), until we see that the first canaries haven't died.
