5761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 03, 2020, 12:36:57 AM
Account security and anonymity have major importance in crypto gambling industry. I will explain two authentication processes and their pros/cons that an under-development project is considering. Through this thread I want to take views/suggestions of the community on the better of the two processes. Here are the candidates:

Option 1: Email Based Authentication

Under this option, you will be asked by casino to fill username, password and email id on registration. To increase the security, you will be asked to set-up 2FA authentication. To make withdrawal, you have to confirm email id.

Pros:
Easy to use and remember system.
Easy to retrieve system if password gets compromised.

Cons:
Easy to hack and brute-force.
Identity may be linked if same email is used somewhere else on web.
Always need additional device (phone) to login (for 2FA code).

Option 2: Keys Based Authentication

Under this option, you will be asked to fill username and password on registration. Then a private code (long alphanumeric) will be generated for you and encoded with the help of password you entered in first step. Now you have to store private code somewhere safe. There onward, you have to paste private code and password to login into system.

Pros:
Complete anonymity
Highest degree of security. No one can hack or brute force your account even if database is compromised.

Cons:
Extra care needed to maintain the security of private code.
Since code is not saved anywhere on server side, losing code = losing account.
One mistake and your account is gone.
Impossible to change code. If you give away code to someone over phishing page, etc, then you cannot retrieve/secure the account again.

That's all. Which of the two systems would you prefer as a crypto gambler. Suggestions/views are welcome.

For me, option 1 is better than option 2 as I use the same email to access all my accounts and it is kind of easy to remember. I do not hold a lot in any of my accounts so in case if it gets hacked only a small amount will get stolen.
5762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 03, 2020, 12:32:56 AM
Man, Just for experiment. i want to see more than 24 team in one T-20 WC, no matter if its economic disaster or not... ICC should go for it.

For Olympics T-10 seems logical to me.

I would love to see two dozen teams in the T20 World Cup. But then, the ICC would never agree. On paper, they have 16 teams. But 8 of these teams are restricted to the first phase, and only 4 out of the 8 will advance to the proper tournament.

I am not a big fan of T10 format. It is too short for me. I watched the 2019 T10 league on TV and didn't liked it that much. It has nothing for the bowlers. Even T20 is heavily in favor of the batsmen, but T10 is just like a bowler's gas chamber. Why can't we have T20 in the Olympics?

Coming back to this T10 game format, it is surely a bowling nightmare but they should change the rules for T10. There should be only 5 batsmen allowed in T10 instead of 10 and this will bring some interest in the game and it will not be like blind hitting like in baseball.
If they think about this all then surely with current system T-10 is really good for Olympics because its really interesting and any team can produce any result surely we will able to have few big upsets going with 5 batsmen is not ideal as full team format is also not bad at all.

I actually like this format as I think it gives all teams even the lower ranked teams a chance at winning against the top teams as anything can happen in 10 overs so I really like the idea. Yes I agree that it will be tough on the bowlers but that was the same when T20 started, the good bowlers will learn to adapt to the game just like they did for T20 and in time I'm sure it will even out.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with this format. If you like big-hitting matches then this format is for you. Nowadays bowler are having tough times in one day and T20 format as well. Pitches are being made to help the batsmen more than bowlers because the crowd loves big sixes and fours.

The best thing about T10 format is that it will not consume half of your day.
5763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: May 03, 2020, 12:27:39 AM
Sports betting has nothing to do with the spread of this virus, it has done nothing wrong to impose their credibility, and of course, they do not. There is no real choice but to stop and continue again once everyone has returned.

There is nothing wrong with gambling gamblers trying online casino games. They may also like it and this is their first time entertaining before the situation subsides.

You are right, during this difficulty most of the people will attract to online casino games, they can spend their free time on gambling. Instead of going outside. I don't find anything negative in sports betting because now due to the situation of the Corno Virus many people are staying away from it, so people who gambled on sports betting will return once they start again.

If someone is into sports gambling then for him/her it is very hard to adjust to online gambling games. I am sure many of you here will agree. Sports gambling is a completely different niche as the outcome here is not decided by the house but the actual game.

No one knows when live sports will resume for now it has to wait as lives of people matter more than entertainment.
5764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: May 02, 2020, 11:25:40 AM
Indo not understand why people have started comparing Gold with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is only a decade old and the amount of expectation from it is very high.

I prefer to invest in both. In my opinion those who do not want risk and want to cash out on their investment at any time they should go for Gold.

Those who are okay with market risk and want to earn high return they should invest in Bitcoin. The risk is significantly high to Gold but the return are also very high.
5765  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy Bitcoin With Credit / Debit Card. on: May 02, 2020, 11:20:32 AM
Hello anyone can recommend a good website where you can buy BTC with Credit/Debit card relatively easy?

Im running an IPTV service and want it to make it as easy as possible for clients to pay.

All websites i have found requires doucments ID and stuff, plz any suggestions?

For upto 2 Bitcoin you do not need to go through any KYC. If you require more than that, then you need to create multiple IDs and make those purchases.

In my opinion you should try Binance as it allows you to purchase in your local fiat currency using debit and credit card.
5766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: May 02, 2020, 10:50:38 AM
How can you always make money from gambling?

In gambling the chance of losing money is very high to making money from it. I have seen so many gamblers in this forum saying the same. In my personal experience I have won less and lost more.

Gambling is not your regular job but a way to entertain yourself untill it becomes addiction.

5767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: May 02, 2020, 10:45:30 AM
This is for all newbies and those who don't know, please share among friends

Every single telegram channels or groups of crypto exchanges are tagged by scammers, be extremely careful

The moment you have a problem with an exchange you will instantly get messages from people claiming to be team of the exchange, you can get the following messages

1. How can we help you?
2. What problem are you facing on our exchange?

They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim

Group channel of exchanges like binance, kucoin, Okex, huobi are full of scammers waiting for people that needs the team help to resolve an issue, be wise

I am fully aware of that and I keep blocking people who randomly message me, they either invite you to invest in binary or they invite you to withdraw from casinos which are all scams, and besides all group channels of projects always have a warning that they will never message first and if they do message they will announce it in their group channel better take all these advice to avoid getting scam.

I do not block them I just play around with them till they ask me to pay for their service or they will ask me to give my exchange password . Then I can't out all the good stuff in a gentle and polite manner till they block me. It has happened multiple times that telegram banned my ID for few days.
5768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brave Browser launches Binance Widget on: May 02, 2020, 05:45:16 AM
Good marketing strategy from Binance by getting their widget integrated with Brave browser. I am thinking how much did they pay Brave browser and how will the commission be calculated.

As per my understanding the widget service was present for website owners, where in they were paying a good commission. Are they paying the same to Brave or something different.
5769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 02, 2020, 05:36:00 AM
After looking into the present situation I believe Trump will not get reelected for a second term. I do not know what will happen in the next 3 to 4 months. But, if the current situation prevails then it is very hard for him to win the election.

Everyone in US is suffering because of the deadly virus and this situation has also crippled the economy. All of these are bad signs. If a  vaccine is out before the elections then Trump has the ability to change the mood of the nation.
5770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could, would you delete every altcoin? on: May 02, 2020, 05:29:48 AM
I would. Why so many cryptocurrencies should exist? Only one, and all of us would want the same coin.

Like in the real world, we have yens, euros, dollars. Imagine having only 1 currency  Shocked

Wouldn't it be great?

In my opinion it would not delete those cryptocurrencies that have a use. Now, how to identify those cryptocurrencies?

You just need to check their marketcap and product information that should solve it.  I think only 50 percent of those listed on CMC will qualify the criteria.

The rest can be removed or deleted from the market.
5771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DEX's with MILLIONS in volume, COULD make you stinking rich, here's why. on: May 02, 2020, 03:05:54 AM
Actually I like DEX to succeed, but as of now, I haven't send a DEX that is successful.

I am not familiar with the real purpose of the coin, but the way describe it, it pretty looks promising, but my concern really is, is there a potential for DEX to grow in the future when regulation are getting stronger in the crypto space?

DEX's can't be regulated as they aren't owned by anyone, which is WHY they'll succeed over centralized exchanges that CAN be heavily regulated Smiley

Do you really think DEX can compete with CEX?

How many DEX do you think have the highest volume and were able to deliver thier promise.

The only benefit that I see about DEzx is that you do not need to go through KYC or registration apart from that there is zero benefits.
5772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: May 02, 2020, 02:46:59 AM
It has been more than 40 days now I am under lockdown and I have not gambled yet. I did not feel like gambling in this period of uncertainty. No clue as to when things might get normal or I will have my job, too many things in my mind at the moment. Therefore did not have the urge to gamble at all.
5773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: May 02, 2020, 02:34:00 AM
It is obvious that if you lose good amount of money then you will have sleepless nights. I have not experienced it yet and I do not intend to in the future. I gamble with what I can spare. I always gamble with small amount and never exceed the limit.
5774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto never used Bitcointalk - new claim by Craig Wright on: May 02, 2020, 01:28:53 AM
He again? I thought his journey about bitcoin destruction is finished. Though, why he is now making a statement about Satoshi Nakamoto never used bitcointalk? Is he done impersonating him? ~
He lives with sensation, so he is always looking for ways to get other people's attention, like narcissistic symptoms, maybe. Actually we don't need to spend energy on this insignificant problem. Since the beginning Satoshi kept his identity a secret, leave it like that.

He is a joke who is trying to amuse the world and create a fake identity. Unfortunately that has gone against him and that is why he is known now as Faketoshi. I am amazed by the level of confidence this guy has, I sometimes feel he is suffering from attention seeking syndrome. As he tends to always seek attention by creating fake news.
5775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: May 02, 2020, 01:08:49 AM
Today it is 2nd of May and still Bitcoin is trading at $8800 mark. It did went pass through $9000 but quickly went back. It is still trading below the 10k mark now and I doubt it will create a new all time high before the halving.

Historically Bitcoin always reached a new price level after the halving ended. I mean it is always the year after halving. So you can accept something good next year but not this year.
5776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone booked a hotel using bitcoin on: May 02, 2020, 01:01:20 AM
You used to be able to do it with Expedia. You used to be able to spend bitcoins in many more places than you can these days. That's hoarders for you.

The problem with a lot of travel options with Bitcoin is that they often charge you more. A lot of the flight places in particular are terrible for adding 30-80 dollars or don't have the usual options at all.

I see no reason to pay more for the honour of paying with BTC.

Travala looks about right though. I might investigate further.

Expedia has stopped accepting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for hotel bookings from 2018. Please check the facts and then reply. Please read this article

5777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 49 Cryptocurrency Wallet Browser Extensions Found Stealing Private keys on: May 02, 2020, 12:57:37 AM
A other negative publicity for cryptocurrency.

It seems nothing can stop scammers to scam cryptocurrency investors. This is a serious issue and there might be many more which google might have not been able to detect.

I generally do not access my Private key using my browser as I do not have a web wallet. I prefer using desktop wallets.

5778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 02, 2020, 12:44:00 AM
When you talk about cricket, the  term boring refers to the small teams or players which are unknown or did not belong to the Top 8 teams.
For example, If there are two T20 matches being played simultaneously between Aus Vs India and  USA Vs Canada , you will find everyone will be watching the first match even though it is a one sided one and the 2nd might be a thriller in terms of balls/run required.

This argument is flawed. For example, lets assume that two matches are taking place at the same time. Both of them involve test playing nations and no associate sides. The first one is between India and Australia, and the second one is between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Do you really think that the TRP for the second match will be any higher than a USA vs Canada match?

And when talking about associates, I don't want to include teams such as USA, Canada, Hong Kong, UAE.etc. Because these teams don't have a single citizen playing for them. They are like India B or Pakistan B teams. The real associates are Scotland, Netherlands, Nepal, PNG, Namibia, Kenya.etc. And trust me, the associate nations can produce players who can become crowd favorites. During the 1999 World Cup, it was the turn of Gavin Hamilton and Steve Tikolo. In 2003, it was Collins Obuya and John Davison. Then again in 2007, it was Boyd Rankin.

TRP depends upon views generated from a particular country. Both in I dia and Australia cricket is more watched than any other game therefore it is obvious TRP will be high. For Srilanka and Zimbabwe I am sure most srilankan will watch the match but I doubt Zimbabwe.

5779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 01, 2020, 11:48:28 PM
This is the next match which is going live on Retrolive tomorrow. This match was originally played on 21 March 1992. Did anyone watch it that time or know the result of this match ?

How can anyone forget that Match. Pakistan won that Semi final by beating the unbeaten team of 1992 World Cup in NewZealand. It was a miracle for Pakistan that Inzimam came at the middle late order and played an innings of lifetime. Later on, Pakistan won on winning the world cup.

I was in school that time, That were the good old days.  Smiley

No one imagined at that time that Pakistan will win the world cup. The posts couple of initial matches but then they started playing exceptionally well from quater finals onwards.

The team had the best ballers and batsmen at that time. Waqar younis and wasim akram were ripping apart every batsmen.
5780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: May 01, 2020, 11:18:33 PM
One of the easiest is dice. You can easily manage the risks by lowing the win amount while learning it. Also, it's quite transparent that makes dice a good choice as an option to begin gamble with.
I agree with you on that, I think OP should ask what's the easiest online games rather than the safest because there is no safe in gambling, regardless of the amount we are gambling, we are risking money on that, and we could possibly lose more if we loss control along the way.

This is a good point because there is no guarantee as such that you would have higher chances of winning in one game compared to other . like you play slot games, roulette, poker etc no one can give guarantee of winning it. Easiest would be dice I guess or roulette also for that matter as you do not have to strain much of your brain to bets on this.
But still the brain will always be required to work harder even though you use a strategy about lowering the amount or odds, because when you don't use your brain even though you play it safe but in gambling there is always a risk of defeat. So, when you have a fixed brain in good condition in the sense of a good mindset, then you will also be able to control your emotions during betting.

Controlling emotions lol
It is hard to do that when money is involved and you are losing.
In my opinion every game in gambling is risky and nothing is safe.

To be precise safety in gambling depends on how much you waged and how much you lost.  If it is easy to understand and play then my recommendation is dice for beginners
