The basic thing that in the future it has provided the progress of the project.  Good luck fellows.

What are you trying to say, you lost me.

He is trying to say that sometimes google translate doesn't work very well.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Will Become a $20 Trillion Market on: June 16, 2018, 01:46:59 AM
I liken it to what happened with the Nasdaq during the dotcom boom.

If you check out the nasdaq charts over the last 30 odd years you'll see the dotcom boom clearly, but after another ten or so years the nasdaq surpassed the previous highs of that boom and is now around all time highs thanks to companies like amazon.

The trick is finding the next amazon like company for crypto!

trade.io will be airdropping 2.5 million of ZeroEdge's tokens to its TIO holders in continuation of the ongoing airdrop campaign.

Yea just saw that on their twitter page.

Interesting that there isn't a bonus, as far as I could see, for holders of more than 2500 tio like there was with the last airdrop.

Seems like this airdrop is more of a way to get people interested in the zero edge platform gambling platform since it will rely on lots of early users at launch.

WTH is Pundi X on Binance voting...?

Yea half those coins up for voting I'd never heard about. Did a bit more research about them afterwards as there is usually a good reason something becomes popular Smiley

Still, if you haven't heard about the other coins all the more reason to vote for ravencoin!
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ViValid - Items' value and ownership in the blockchain on: June 15, 2018, 11:45:59 AM
Project is listed on all popular ICO listing sites, just look at the rating they have given to ViValid
Quote
ICORanker 99/100
Foundico 9/10
ICObench 4.7/5
ICOcreed 4.7/5
ICOlink 4.9/5
ICOmarks 8.3/10
TrackICO 4.6/5

Ratings are one thing, but getting investors is another.

I really like this project but it is a tough time to be running an ico with all the price falls at the moment. Seems like people aren't as comfortable parting with their coins to support new projects.

But this is actually one of the few apps I would actually use! Got all sorts of random stuff worth getting valued.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 15, 2018, 10:55:58 AM

RVN developers at the moment do not consider themselves as "core team" standing behind the project + there is no one to provide legal stuff required by Binance... :/

Really? I'm sure there is a 'core team' that stands behind this project. Otherwise there would be limited ways for it to develop further!

It's great having a community driven coin, but you still need someone to steer the ship - for reasons like applying for exchange listings, delivering against white paper milestones and so on.

As some people have pointed out, ravencoin has come up for community coin of the month Smiley get your votes in!

588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amount to start trading? on: June 15, 2018, 07:33:22 AM
Very little is required to start trading. I mean for most exchanges (like Binance) the exchange fees are very small - like 0.05% - with no 'fixed' flat amount.

This means you can trade away for all sorts of coins or projects you believe in and not have to worry about your trades being diluted too much by fees.

The broader problem is that when there is a sell off of bitcoin and it brings the whole market down with it Wink
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: June 15, 2018, 02:23:35 AM
Announcing Iyomisc's giveaway to win $egg and even some $bis so you can use your $egg with an empty wallet.

All you need is a Bismuth wallet to participate (don't use cryptopia's or octaex address, please!)

Official wallet does not even require a running node, it's straighforward.

Giveaway Url : https://gleam.io/LGvYk/dragginator-eggs-giveaway

Great! I've also noticed that the egg pool operator is a bismuth core developer. So based on that, I can understand why the pool is so popular - you got to support the developers to keep developing bismuth and doing their thing Wink
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: June 14, 2018, 01:26:11 PM
I'm trying to switch pools and use the coinsaurus miner. However, it keeps saying I have invalid mining address when I open the miner, but it is definitely correct. Is there a troubleshooter or guide that has more detail than the coinsaurus mining pool page.

Also what are peoples thoughts on eggpool? It is so popular even with its 10 percent pool (or miner?) fee. Must be some next level improvements to justify that.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 14, 2018, 08:38:23 AM
My RVN deposit at CB is still stuck after a couple of days, but they did fix my other, bigger deposit today. So at least they're working on it, albeit slowly Smiley

If you check coinmarketcap, the vast majority of cryptobridge's trade are ravencoin only.

Keep the systems up and running must be difficult when a lot more people suddenly come onto your exchange. I recall cryptopia having massive issues with keeping up with demand, and closing their wallets for maintenance for some coins for over a month. During that time the price of one particular coin tanked as it was the only relatively large exchange that listed the coin.

You would think cryptopia would do better given they charge around 200k for a listing! But they seem to be getting a little better now.
592  Other / Meta / Re: The Newbie/spammers problem. Solution anyone? on: June 14, 2018, 03:50:42 AM
Agree with a lot that has been said. Obviously the introduction of the merit system has increased the amount of effort and 'work' required to increase in rank (rank, by the way, is only important to those who want to access higher bounty rewards, who are also the poster most likely to spam - go figure).

I actually think to reduce spam, and newbie accounts buying merit, you need to look at those who were around before the merit system. There are heaps of spammy accounts at the full member and senior member rank who offer far less to threads than the new posters with 10-40 odd merit (which they received from their posts).

How can you tell which ones are spam accounts? Good start is that they have exactly 100 merit, or exactly 250 merit, and have received nothing since the merit system was introduced. Also that most of their posts are 75 characters or whatever the limit is for a bounty post.

So you could have merit or rank as a changeable thing. Or have moderators with more scope to downgrade obvious spammy accounts, with a warning first then a downgrade (since the reason they are spamming is for bounties). This way you encourage meaningful contributions at all ranks, hopefully reducing spam and with newbie accounts seeing what the new 'norm' is on this forum in terms of quality posting.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCH ANN] MYZTIC - Fast, Secure, and Secure Global Money Transfer System. on: June 14, 2018, 03:19:45 AM
You mention 2% premine for airdrop and bounty and 10% for developers.

Is any of this going toward exchange listings or other promotional activities?

Exchange listing in particular can be fairly expensive.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it takes for a Token to rise the price after ICO? on: June 13, 2018, 11:53:18 AM
Your question is like asking whether bitcoin will be higher or lower in one weeks time. You may have a sense of what it could be but you don't know for sure.

A reason why tokens fall in value post ICO is some people may be selling straight away after receiving a promotional airdrop or bounty. Rather than keeping the token because they've invested in the ICO, people might sell it straight away because it didn't need much effort to get (happens with telegram airdrops quite a bit). This is usually just a short term issue.

A reason why tokens increase is positive announcements post ICO, often related to getting on a reputable exchange or hitting milestones, getting into partnerships and so on.

Also timing can be a factor - if bitcoin value is going down you can bet most altcoins will follow suit.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins dropping like crazy on: June 13, 2018, 07:51:33 AM
Most altcoins follow price movements in Bitcoin quite a lot. If Bitcoin goes up, so do most altcoins and vice versa.

This pattern has generally held over the last year, with further variation up or down in altcoin price based on that specific coin's announcements. If you have a look at price charts on coinmarketcap, you'll see how the yellow 'bitcoin' line follows the altcoin line in a broad sense very often.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💠 DIW 💠 [ANN] [ICO] 💠 DIWtoken.com 💠 Decentralize Security on: June 13, 2018, 07:41:42 AM
the whole process of devs looks very professional.
clear line with the bounty and now clear procedure in the distribution and payout of the bounty tokens.

on what i'm very curious, which exchange/s will listed DIW at first  Wink

The developers said fairly recently that there will be announcements in relation to exchanges not long after the ICO is complete. I expect that after all tokens have been distributed, including bounty and airdrops etc, they will provide further advice on what exchange/s will have DIW token.

Given the success of the project, particularly all the support around the bounty, you would think there is enough interest and resources to have DIW listed on at least mid level exchanges. But I'm also very curious where they will list!
597  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the predominant one among forks? on: June 13, 2018, 06:28:58 AM
Bitcoin is not, at a technical level, any better than most of the other blockchains/coins out there. In fact, depending on what you use it for, it is demonstrably worse (hence forks or brand new altcoins focused on privacy or whatever).

This is not true. Bitcoin might not have the same contract programming flexibility as Ethereum, but that is widely considered to be flaw in Ethereum's design methodology (the most prevalent opinion among developers is that more complex contracts should be implemented as additional network layers to Bitcoin, and/or as separate sidechains). Transaction privacy is much the same, better as a separate protocol layer (and the practialities of Ethereum and Monero prove why; both have very fast growing blockchains, which is a decentralisation compromise).

Additionally, Bitcoin source code is constantly borrowed by the (much smaller) developer teams working on other cryptocurrencies even after the new coin is launched (this is sometimes referenced directly on the webpages of pull requests in the Bitcoin git repository). A large number (~20 regulars, plus many many more occasional contributors) work on Bitcoin, whereas most other coins have maybe 3-5 developers at the max. The development focus is on Bitcoin, and maybe that does have an element of 1st mover advantage to it, but that can only be maintained if the development is of a consistent high quality (and there's been nearly 10 years of this kind of impetus with Bitcoin development, no other coin matches that). A large number of talented programmers work on Bitcoin, and that's what makes the Bitcoin network function so well and attract users, not incumbency.

Interesting. Particularly the point you make about around contract programming flexibility of Ethereum being considered a flaw by many isn't something I was aware of. You generally hear the 'smart' contract functions of Ethereum framed as a positive, especially with all the erc20 tokens. Perhaps this is a case of ease-of-use in creating an erc20 token taking priority over the possible 'better' but longer approach of creating side chains or additional network layers to Bitcoin.

Yeah ten years of bitcoin development is about nine years longer than most altcoins out there, so not surprising the source code is borrowed so heavily from other smaller projects.

598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 13, 2018, 06:09:54 AM

Perhaps a creative way to get listed on a centralised exchange is for a mining pool to set aside a portion of their 'fee' to be used as a fundraiser for a particular exchange? And for users to also have the choice to donate to this fund (in case they aren't miners)?

Even if it is just 0.5% of their mining pool fee, it could get enough momentum to get on some mid sized exchanges. Would also be a win for the mining pool to attract new miners, who want to help build ravencoin while doing something they would be doing anyway (that is, mining).

It would need to have transparency behind it, where people can independently verify that the pool fee is going to a fund, which will be used for a specific exchange who has publicly agreed to list Ravencoin once the relevant funds are raised.

Just a thought Smiley

That is actually a great idea ...

We would be happy to do so for our new Pyroxene (theMINE) platform for RavenCoin (http://pyroxene.chainworksindustries.com/).

We need to maintain our 0.7% for the pool, but if we up the percentage, anything over and above the 0.7% fee will be put aside in a unique RVN cold wallet, and when and agreed amount is reached, we can trade them off for the amount required for the inclusion into another exchange. Our pools are new and on new servers, so we would need a number of miners moving in to do such a thing, but we will keep that wallet as a 'CWI Community Wallet' which cannot be touched for any other use.

Let us know if anyone would be behind this method and if so, we could start it as immediately as community consensus allows.

#crysx

It's a shame not more people are enthusiastic about this idea or something similar. It feels like everyone is willing to mine a coin or argue why the price should be higher or what the devs are doing right/wrong, but when it comes to giving a little something back for the mutual benefit of everyone, there just isn't much momentum.

Anyway, another way to support Ravencoin could be through Binance's community coin of the month. Binance are currently taking nominations for this month and if Ravencoin is included now or at a later date I'll be voting for it.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷trade.io🔷[ANN] [ICO]💲31,169,749 🔷Partner Civic & Bancor🔷HitBTC & OKEx on: June 13, 2018, 04:18:09 AM

Yeah why not also those people who do not reach the 2500 Tio above will also receive airdrops like mine I was holding below 2500 Tio I hope they can consider it because it's unfair that other wouldn't receive a reward because they are not holding a large amount of Tio but still they are supporting this project.

They have to set the threshold somewhere, and this is one of the ways to support token price increases as it creates a demand to hit that 2500 token mark.

You could have it on a scale where you receive a set amount of the airdrop per token, regardless of what that amount is, but that could cause major problems where those with heaps of TIO get all income from airdrops. It is better to try and spread the airdrop far and wide to support interest in the new projects instead of dumping all tokens on the main few token holders.

Also, you can receive 100 tokens through a telegram airdrop for this first campaign, so that is still an option Smiley
600  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Getting access to BTC in event of death on: June 13, 2018, 03:14:10 AM
It's definitely a problem. With regular banks your assets automatically go to next of kin. With cryptocurrency it could be locked away as no one will know your phrases or password.

I've thought about this too, outside of providing something in a will, or providing part passwords to different relatives or any other combination of ideas, there isn't really much currently available.

For those with technical knowledge, you would think this is an area ripe for an ICO. You could have it so that on death or some other event, there is a trigger that would provide funds to a designated person/s. You could even make it scripted or time based in case the recipient doesn't know you have cryptocurrency or you want to split it in some way or change it over time, so it wouldn't need to be based on someone knowing you have crypto.

For example, if you don't access a wallet after 2 years, the funds are automatically sent to a new address and an email is generated that advises your chosen recipient that they been provided x coin that can be accessed by doing y, as you have not accessed the wallet in the set period of time. There would need to be other things in place so it doesn't make its way into spam folder but you get the idea.
