581  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Day 1 HashFast Order(s), at-cost/below-cost. Serious offers + Escrow only. on: October 29, 2013, 06:21:10 AM
[Disclaimer: I'm an official escrow affiliate at BTCrow.com and can coordinate semi-automated online escrow transactions.]

As a veteran GB Coordinator, and someone who also does Escrow Coordination and miner hosting, I sometimes am approached for miner hosting *and* specific hardware acquisition requests. Tonight's request comes from a new co-op member who also is trying to located someone or a few people who are interested in selling their Day 1 HashFast Miner or Miners.
===============================================================================================================

We would like to buy your Day 1 HashFast Baby Jet or Sierra via escrow. We'd prefer a below-cost offer, but would entertain offers for at-cost and slightly above cost sale offers. Serious Offers Only. We're looking to buy about $30-35K worth of HashFast hardware.

3rd Party Escrow/Dispute Resolution for either buyers/sellers to be handled at BTCrow.

===============================================================================================================

Why should you trust me to escrow this?

I'm a John K. Escrow vetted GBC. He's has my address on record and has seen my LinkedIn profile.

I've vetted 10 or more Group Buy Coordinators and/or Bitcoin Miner Hosts for free as a way of trying to offload work from John K. Escrow, who is super busy. With my co-op co-leader thomas_s. we've purchased nearly $90K worth of hardware without issue, and we're currently mining on 2 Jupiters in R5/R6.

I've engineered 3 Miner Buyouts so far, in Rounds 2, 5, and 6 of our co-op's activities without incident, and can give you the contact info for the sellers (-Redacted- is one user) who can also confirm this via PM if you so desire.
582  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: VER 2.0, Introducing DZ Escrow *Coordinator* Services for Group Buyers & Sellers on: October 29, 2013, 03:04:42 AM
Co-op news and GBEC services news.

- We hosted and are hosting an exclusive Black Arrow Bitfury Bullet Run Board deal, 3.75 months before the official launch of the Prospero except using Bitfury chips! The co-op is up to about 2.1TH/s worth of purchased Black Arrow hashrate, at the moment.

This deal was thanks to the relationships that I've cultivated and due to the strength of the co-op and its many creators (about 8 so far). That: and bobsag3, my 2nd vetted miner host, being a bright, and industrious vetted GBC/miner host willing to go the extra mile because he's drunk on the BTC Kool Aid and literally doesn't care if he makes a dime off of your GB miner hosting fees.

- We reached $87K in sales and 8.2TH/s for ASIC miner rig orders. We never would have gotten to this level of hashrate and sales so quickly without Thomas S. and -Redacted-

- I haven't officially counted but I'm estimating that we're at about 70 members! Thank you and welcome aboard!

- We're up to 4 total remote hosts who also happen to be IT Pros, with one of them, bobsag3, doubling as a local miner host.

- I've been contacted to help out with couple of six figure deals and a couple of five figure deals, since I'm an advocate for both Buyers *and* Sellers, and I'm willing to work out deals that make sense for both Buyers and Sellers. I believe myself to be one of the premier win/win deal makers on this GB forum, and I'd be happy to help you out if you want or need to either set up a Group Buy for miners or invest in miners privately, to be hosted by bobsag3.

Cheers!

Watching and wishing you guys well as an American mfg.

I'm waiting until I see hardware in the wild myself before I'll commit to anything, but good to hear from you guys.

You really should stop by more often.  Wink  Smiley

Seriously though: I sometimes get approached to handle private five and even mid six figure deals separate from my GB activities and I really need to know what's available without scams, or I can't even list this as one of a buyer's potential options.

Re-opening R11 so that when R10 runs out we can just shift over seamlessly to this Round.

100 shares available. *

* Rough estimate: may be more or less.

In for 5 Shares - hope to hear from you so I can get 5 more Smiley

If you're order 348, that was your order that *may* get moved to R10, depending on what was sold or not sold.

Edit: NM that was JBFru45 in R10. I guess you're talking about a different 5 share purchase.  Smiley

Please keep the orders coming. If R10 runs out, feel free to buy more R11 shares as they're all part of the same hardware batch.

Gah, I had just messaged on the site earlier about Round 8 and was told it was still open Sad  Tempted... just hate to not get enough others to buy in.

Well, it will only cost you 3 days of time if we don't get enough to purchase a 150GH/s of additional hardware, since there's no restock fee.

Had to adjust the number of shares from 50 to 75. Realized we were raising 75% of the hashrate from R7/R8; not half. Duh.

Here's the site shortlink to R8B: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=234

He may have been referring to the fact that oversales would be shifted to R8B if payments weren't made before we bought modules from HashFast.

I believe you're in R8 as I saw a flurry of buys this morning before the order went in, locked in at that $200+ BTC price. We were trying to give you guys the best value possible at no extra charge.  Those R8 guys/gals are lucky, they're going to get a lot more bonus hashrate than R7 thanks to BTC appreciation while we were holding R8 funds. Round 8 is CLOSED, by the way.

Doesn't mean the sale has to end, however. We're opening up Bitmine Rig Round 8B, which is a continuation of R8 at these rates until October 31 in three days.

75 shares available in Round 8B.

If we don't raise enough for 1 or more Bitmine modules (we have capacity for 30% more modules) before October 31 then: we will refund you with no restock fee...

unless I can convince Giorgio to give us a few more days.  Wink  Cheesy

Great news for the owners of the 41-45 or so shares paid for R8! Thomas bought a few shares so this Round so that the ordered hashrate could be kicked up to 600GH/s for Round 8!

For the co-op: We were able to take advantage of the rise in price of BTC to lock in a payment just a little north of the $200 USD mark.

Ergo: your hashrate just became more valuable due to the rise of BTC's value since your payment(s). You directly benefit without any additional cost!

We'll sort out just how much hashrate bonuses you guys scored once we have final numbers but the calculation for payouts in R8 will be:

1) Proportion of HashRate for R8 is:

Total Hashrate - Round 7 Hashrate = Round 8 HashRate.
1400GH/s - 800 GH/s = 600 GH/s Nominal HashRate

This is therefore equivalent to 42.86% of the Bitmine's combined Hashrate and concomitant payouts. This is assuming we were unable to split hashrate fairly between R7/R8 at these exact proportions in software.

2) Within Round 8, after fees of 2.75% hosting/management fees are applied, the payout calculation per miner is:

Total BTC Mined  * Your Shares / Total R8 shares PAID = Your R8 payout

Ex. 10 BTC Mined by R8 modules. 24 shares PAID out of 48 SOLD in R8.
Therefore: 10 BTC * (24/48) = 5 BTC

Looks like around 19 shares left based on the posts here Smiley

As the person not in charge of the spreadsheet and since R9-R11 is going to all be in the same towers of of Black Arrows at bobsag3's colo facility: sounds good to me!  Cheesy

This stuff all gets sorted out eventually and we're not going to have to worry about squishy sales numbers when we upgrade to our new site, as the new site will only have sales show as complete with full payment. Talking to a programmer this morning/afternoon is on my to do list today.

Thanks Bob!  I'm at 5 shares now, hoping it gets close to the 10Ghz per share rate Wink

Thanks madpoet!

We had 50 shares open up in R10 so all R11 shares that have been paid up till now have been moved to R10.

Therefore: R11 is closed until 24 R10 shares can be sold.

We had to re-open R10 as 50 shares didn't get paid due to BTC acquisition difficulties by a buyer.

Therefore: R11 shares have been moved to R10 and there are...

24 shares available.

These Black Arrow Bullet Run boards are scheduled for a 10/30 or 10/31 delivery to Missouri. In case you haven't heard, these boards come with a heckuva satisfaction guarantee: These boards are guaranteed to be shipping by November 1 or your money/BTC back!

Also, I'm a bit under the weather, so please PM Thomas or bobsag3 with any R8 or R10/11 concerns you may have. Thanks.

So do we still send a message through the site to reserve shares?  I'd like to snag a couple.

Hey madpoet,

Yes, please do. It's the easiest way for us to track things and export to spreadsheets.

Also: very important, if you're buying from 2 or more DZ MC rounds, *please* separate the transactions so that Thomas doesn't have to pull his hair out trying to figure out who bought what, for how much (a limitation of our free tools, at the moment; upgrades are planned shortly).

5 more days left in this promo if anyone wants to take advantage of the 15% Halloween Sale at Bitmine.

Whatever BTC we have on hand by October 31 will be sent to Bitmine to purchase whatever hashrate we get, and this will likely close out Round 8. Any advances made in the price of BTC since you bought your share(s) will be applied to extra hashrate per share at no extra charge!

This same situation led to 9% extra hashrate being slated to be spread amongst R7 share owners since we had enough funds on hand to buy our target hashrate of 800GH/s with only 91 shares bought.

This still leaves open the possibility of a Round 8B for extra Bitmine modules for the R7 rig after October 31.
598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Miner Hosting LLC: Cheap and secure vetted host! on: October 27, 2013, 03:07:34 AM
Up to the top, Info Updated Smiley

Did I say it was 3 miners being hosted here?  Grin

Since I wrote that last post about a month ago, the DZ MC is slated to have 10 Industrial Class Rigs (or more) from 4 different mfgs. to be hosted by bobsag3. We averaged 1.75 big ole Rigs purchased a week in the last month. These miners are worth about 6.8 TH/s+ of hashrate.

Rounds 5 and 6 of our co-op's activities, 2 KnC Jupiters, are already on-site and have paid out the 1st miner payout handled by -Redacted- (who also sold us these miners below-cost) with the next payout due after the 31st.

He's also hosting one of Barntech's boards for me (so it's technically 5 mfgs. being hosted by bobsag3), but it's 21.7GH/s or 0.0217 TH/s is just about a rounding error compared to all of the co-op's hashrate.  Cheesy
599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Jupiter suddenly died. Anybody had similar issue? on: October 27, 2013, 12:50:44 AM
No way to reflash either. When attempting to boot from an sd card with a recovery image, it behaves exactly the same way.

Not a good sign. Honestly sounds like the magic smoke came out when you weren't looking.

Any fried marks on any PCBs or the smell of anything burnt?
600  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Jupiter suddenly died. Anybody had similar issue? on: October 26, 2013, 10:32:34 PM
DyslexicZombei,

Firmware 0.97

Oof. Have you had anything similar happen with previous firmware versions? I'd suggest that anyone not do any firmware upgrades to chase a few more GH/s without thoroughly checking out how well *other* canaries in the coal mine are doing. I've been in the line of work of US Govt. Test & Evaluation and Research & Development for about 10 years.

These miners, and every other miner, are essentially prototypes and would be rated at low TRL levels using the military's classification system for new tech.

Quite a few people have had major issues w/ 0.97. Hopefully, they'll cross ship you a replacement Jupiter without waiting for your Jupe to arrive.
