581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for the Inexperienced Traders on: January 01, 2019, 04:12:38 PM
If you're an inexperienced trader like me, don't look at the sideways and red markets. Always wait for a green market (and it happens at least once every month). During that time, set a little target (say 10%-20%) you can even make more if you follow a good coin. Enter the market and take your profits.
Trading is good and easy on rising markets still for a long term holder, sideways markets and falling down markets are good to accumulating more. This is the case of bitcoins and few other potential based altcoins. Catching a falling knife is not a good idea for random assets. So, you must need different strategy for different assets, especially I do have two strategies which are basically dealing short term and long term trading.

Don't try trading everyday if you're not a PRO, they'll squeeze your money from your hands lol...and also never try catching tops and bottoms of you're not a PRO, they'll squeeze it once again. (remember you may be dealing with bots).
We may trade daily but we should not rush for making ad-hoc decisions. If you have technical based trading calls everyday then you may go for it. But, we should not trade based on some coins are being pumped and some got good news like that. Do trade only with the support of technical analysis and not just with naked eyes.
582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List Exchanges Hacked 2011/2018 on: January 01, 2019, 03:19:45 PM
Jesus christ according to the infographic shared on coindesk it shows 1.5 billion dollars lost so far! That is 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS.

Exchanges really need to up their security measures by a whole lot but the problem with hackers is that no matter what you do to prevent they will find a new way, if you defend that they will move onto a new way, they will not stop inventing a new way to hack into the exchanges even though exchanges cover all possible corners.

865 million of that (more than half) was in 2018, we saw how much increase there was in interest to crypto in 2017 which lead to a lot more new exchanges and some of that started out very quickly to gather the money from the hype and didn't finish the website with quality so they got hacked. Its really a shame all that money went to hackers instead of people who really needed it.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New year's eve, hoping for a change on: January 01, 2019, 02:34:28 PM
My new years resolution was to care about bitcoin price less this year. When it was going up and I was making a ton of money living the kings life I was too caught up with the spending money and being crazy about buying new stuff things, I end up spending like 100+ dollars into any game I play as well just for the fun (on top of the game I paid for) and insane vacations and constant going outs and so forth.

After that when price started to drop I started to go down even more and it became so bad that even tough I was making as much or even slightly more compared to previous years except the 2017 increase, I wasn't happy, I went from 1 to 20 to 3 for example but that 3 made me sadder than when I was 1, it was just horrible because when I was 1 I knew that 1 life but when I was 3 I knew that 20 life so I was incredibly upset.

This year I will focus on not caring about money because it shouldn't cover most of my life and focus on things that make me happy in life.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What choices will you take now ? on: January 01, 2019, 03:25:26 AM
What do you do with your junk coins? almost all new Altcoin don't have good prices to make a profit.
Will there be a rule about a good project that doesn't produce junk coins? Disappointing. Undecided
I just holding all my low value coins. Recently MTC tokens was delisted in stock.exchange and I was enforced to withdraw but I sold the token in 10x lesser prices where I could have got 10x more profits if I would have sold some time before. I guess there will be no practical tool to find out the projects which will not produce junk coins. Because, we cannot predict what will happen tomorrow. Even we are careful today, if anything may change in future will lead to junk valued coins. So, diversify your portfolio.

not all new altcoin will become junk, some of them also have prices even though they don't provide as many benefits as 2017
I guess OP is not expecting the big rallies happened in 2017, but at least we need the coins to be exchanged for the energy we spent for collecting them. But, when BTC and ETH are not performing well then all the altcoins and eth tokens may value almost nothing. We must keep holding them until BTC prices find its recovery.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto A Way To become Rich / Millionaire ? on: December 31, 2018, 03:55:47 PM
Today Want to  Ask , did Satoshi Created bitcoin to solve poverty  issues or he created this bitcoin so solve financial transaction problems !!
Is crypto  a get rich quick scheme as people are putting their  mindset into  it  ?
"Trading" is seriously the only reason why people think they can be rich overnight. People invest into some obscure coins so their money could be tripled in a day and than go find another coin they could do the same constantly, that was the mentality in my country last year, there was so many coins that skyrocketed that some people actually quadrupled their money and believed it was going to be that way. They didn't care what the coin was about, they didn't care about the features.

Hell, I know someone who invested about 10 thousand dollars into a coin without knowing the full name, he just knew it was called etc and had no idea it was called ethereum classic, sad thing is he profited from that, which made him not care about coins a lot more and invest a lot heavier.

Crypto currencies are an invention, they are and experiment, they are a way for us to figure out if we can do this "economy" thing better than it is currently but people keep making it a commodity instead of a weapon against banks.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is going to clean the garbage littered all over? on: December 31, 2018, 02:34:30 PM
The altcoin zone is almost becoming a dump site for shitcoin.  With just anyone being able to come up with a token on any of the blockchain makes it easy to have shitcoins littered all over the place. But the question is; who is going to clean up the mess?  Natural death or a regulation is going good to be imposed later?
When I first the title I didn't understand what the question was about Cheesy. The altcoins that we do not really use or has insanely low volume usually go away in time or at least they are not really cared for after a while, even if they exist they basically gone from the hype they once had and now living on life support. We do not need a coin to be completely wiped from face of the earth because even if 2 people still use it that means it exists but its as gone as possible.

There are thousands of coins that was created and now "gone" but they are still somehow in some exchanges or at least wallets could be downloaded but that doesn't make them really relevant. The only coins people care about is top 250 coins and even some of those coins do not get enough attention, so aside from the top 20 coins the interest drops down a whole lot.
587  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do when price falls? on: December 31, 2018, 01:56:06 PM
I actually didn't know what to do for a long time. Back when price went low in 2014 I was a bit shocked and I wasn't prepared and I had a decent chunk of bitcoin that worth even more right now but when it dropped I didn't actually saw bitcoin as an investment to be honest with you, I saw it like an experiment at the time and I wasn't aware of dropping and bear market and all that so I wasn't really keeping up with what the meta was for those times.

In 2017 my most amazing choice was cashing out as much as I want (still keeping a bit in crypto) because price went mad, so you do not do something when the price falls, you prepare for a fall when the price is high. In order for the price to fall, there needs to be an up first, prepare for the fall when you are high and you won't get hurt that much.
588  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: December 31, 2018, 06:46:39 AM
A few days I thought, I want to double my stake and I want to sell it all... Literally at the same time. Hodl seems a good idea though ATM, it's what I'm doing with most of my Bitcoin.
Never ever give room for second thoughts against your bitcoins. Holding must be the best option for those who have missed out $19.5k levels. At least you must have taken a big decisions to sell around $15k and right now it is too late for taking any decision other than continuing holding. It may sound funny but it is already year long of waiting. This is the time for buying more when it is so why not you just keep holding those already-bought/earned bitcoins.

I don't know myself and I can't predict the increase. But if the coin that I hold is valid and worth holding, I better hold it or I have to cut my losses.
You do not need to be an expert to predict the increase, it will happen on its own time hence just have patience and it would be better to go for a vacation on this festival/summer time. Experts are suggesting about buying more at dips hence it will definitely not the time for selling off.
589  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Inflation on: December 29, 2018, 04:19:46 PM
Inflation only affects the fiat currency we use daily most of the time. It doesn't really affect things like gold for example and Bitcoin has been a commodity like gold for a while now so we can clearly say that inflation does affect bitcoin but in a positive manner. So, if 1000 dollars today worth 1500 dollars in 10 years for purchasing power that means 4000 dollar worth of bitcoin would worth 6000 dollars in dollars because of the dollar devaluing.

Since, dollar drops in value the bitcoin price goes up accordingly, inflation is not something bitcoin is immune to, it does have a part in bitcoin world but thankfully it is in a good way. We could consider how the gold prices increase over the years as a similar path for bitcoin, of course not exactly the same because they are vastly different stuff but for the purposes of inflation they are effect exactly the same.
590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: December 29, 2018, 04:02:59 AM
for getting better result for new people to invest Bitcoin is the best way otherwise some of the new currencies are not powerful as Bitcoin so if Bitcoin down then all currencies had the same problem so in all time Bitcoin will be the best ever currency to invest.
Bitcoin must be only promising coin for me as I am seeing most others are just time movers. Ethereum has invented its own platform hence it may find its surviving methodologies but I am afraid about all other coins. They have one or two specific reasons for their existence which may not be enough to have continuous supporters. People pump and then dump them over the time and after some long period they may not remain attractive for new investors.

I have no other choice, and I will continue to invest in BTC, ETH, NEO, and XLM. I believe in the potential and promising future of these coins.
I believe it would be much better if you narrow down your options with bitcoin and ethereum as most other coins may find lack of new investors as per recent speculations by few proven crypto experts. For short term, your choices are good and promising but if you plan for your next generation then you must need to reconsider your choices.
591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PRICE STABILITY on: December 28, 2018, 04:19:22 PM
Crypto prices are anything but stable. They were stable most of this year but people keep seeing the dropping prices, the problem is when its not stable its chaotic. Prices stay the same for a while, stays stays stays than BAM! it just drops like crazy one day and you lose half of your investment in half an hour.

Its not common of course and it rarely happens, probably just twice over the course of bitcoins life and it has always been going higher when you look at it on a long term but volatility is a part of bitcoins character now and should not be run away from. We should embrace the swings and react to them like they are normal part of life. I know you don't see 50% decrease, 35% increase daily on any other investment but to be honest bitcoin is not like any other investments we do neither.
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping? on: December 28, 2018, 06:09:23 AM
now I have never benefited from the trading market, because prices in the trade market are declining, I have not dared to deal with the trading market, now looking for profit is very difficult
You sound like you do not know the basics of trading. Just go reading few of above discussions then you will come to know that how to make use of declining market also for making profits. Yes, anyone will be able to make profits when prices are dropping by using stablecoins. Almost all the exchanges are now a days having stablecoins to trade against bitcoins and any major altcoins.

You need to convert bitcoins back and forth with stablecoin to make sure you are gaining more USD value per every transaction. Just google and get more information on how to do this.
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the whales are inactive during Xmas holidays? on: December 27, 2018, 04:17:10 PM
On contrary to the popular belief, whales are human too. They do have Christmas parties and they do have vacations and breaks from the finance world as well. I know you think of wall street guys as the 7/24 ruthless money makers but they do go back home every single night, they have regular problems like we have as well, their wives or husbands tell them they don't interact enough too, they too forget to pay the electricity bill or pick up the laundry on the way back home.

You can't just assume they are some sort of money making machines like automated trading bots we have here. Its Christmas time and they are just sitting at home drinking some eggnog or something and relaxing not caring about bitcoin price at all. We are the weird ones who keep talking about crypto even on Christmas breaks.
594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2019 on: December 27, 2018, 09:18:14 AM
Bitcoin in 2019 seems to be better and more stable even though it might be at the level of 3000 $ - 4000 $ for 1 to 2 months. And we also look forward to the decision of the Bitcoin ETF, this decision will affect the development of bitcoin.
Yes, this new year will be more exciting as hopefully we are going to have a positive market which will be eventually leading to a new ATH for bitcoins. I believe most probably bitcoin ETF will be approved in 2019 hence we are going to have more institutions will be eyeing on bitcoin to make big investments. These are the things, everyone here is expecting so that bitcoin will be testing $20k levels again.

I am also expecting few more governments to come forward to regulate and to legalize bitcoin so that their people will be enjoying their true hard work in terms of bitcoins without any interference from central banks nor from governments. When government start valuing about privacy of their citizen and believing in to individuals' freedom then they will approve bitcoins. Hopefully, this will happen in many countries in 2019.
595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ‘Died’ 90 Times In 2018 on: December 27, 2018, 07:18:43 AM
Thankfully we are not stupid enough to listen to other people when it comes to our own money and can make our own decisions and we are still here. The sad thing is a lot of people read those type of news and decided that they want to get out because bitcoin is dying according to the newspaper they are reading and they get out with losses. Its a shame people could write about an investment like that without consequences.
You cannot be sure that people here are not listening to those news. If they have not been listening, then we would not have fallen this far. Noobs are everywhere. I always doubt on whales like they are responsible for spreading this kind of FUDs just for the reason of finding extra support for their manipulations. I believe that they would have been as much as successful with their efforts. The living proof for that is, we are trading right now around $3800 levels where the value should be above $15k.

This must be another related read, you may prefer to give a glance : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4579984.0

After all, what I need to conclude here is, yes bitcoin has died as many times as anyone could count still it is here and staying stronger because it is like a phoenix bird hence there will be no problem of dying as many times as anyone could imagine.
596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Price Will Go Below $3,000, Anthony Pompliano Tells Mainstream Media on: December 27, 2018, 05:08:06 AM
Speaking in an interview, Pompliano, who is also a frequent markets commentator on social media, became the latest figure to claim Bitcoin markets will only bottom out when the price drifts below $,3000.
It may break the support levels which is remaining too stronger around $3200 to $2800 levels but definitely will not close into that zone. It means even if that support levels get broken, market will bounce back within a trading session. As long as markets will not be closing below the support level, we do not need to worry about that. It has already had bottomed now just gaining power to break resistance zones around $4400 levels.

In November, Pompliano had predicted a plunge to $3,000 for BTC/USD, which subsequently occurred earlier this month.
Yes and no at the same time. We cannot simply ignore more than 5% of movement. In most major exchanges, it did not break $3220 levels. Downfall up to $3k was not expected when $6.2k levels was sustaining for months. Now, we may expect another round of rally from $3500 levels toward $4800 levels.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest me some gambling site on: December 26, 2018, 06:35:24 PM
If you wish then you can help me by suggesting some good gamebling site name and advantages and disadvantages about this site. I want to gather my knowledge about gambling site.
May I know for what purpose you are looking to gather information gambling sites along with its advantages and disadvantages. I have seen many people are doing so for their academic research papers, but I'm not seeing anything like that with you. I am afraid that you are looking for list of gambling sites just for the reason of planning up your gambling. I like to suggest you stop right away if you are actual intention is getting into gambling.

Moreover, all the people here are not sharing their original experience as most of the people are writing is a paid promoter. It would be good if you go for experiencing and analyzing on your own but that will take lots of time and at the same time you may get addicted to gambling even if you are doing this as part of your academic studies.

I mean to say it would be good to stay away from gambling for whatever reason you are trying to gather information on gambling sites. I do see you as a beginner in gambling then this must be the right time to focus your attention to some other area where you will find your better future.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: December 26, 2018, 05:10:58 PM
We can win in gambling of course, but you must have much control to yourself and great attitude towards that goal. Gambling is really not good for long term, and if you continue to depend on gambling you will be place in a not so nice place in the future.
Controlling yourself and great attitude may help you to prevent losses but definitely will not help you to win in gambling. Gambling is not good neither for long term nor short term. It is only good for spending your time in exciting way, nothing more. Do not expect anything in return for the money you are spending for the gambling then you can make the most out of gambling. That may be considered as the winning moment in gambling.

When you are gamble in "don't care" mode, you may start enjoying your gambling activities. This will lead to some big excitements. This must be the actual benefits we could enjoy with gambling and we may term this as winning in gambling. Now, it is possible for anyone to win in gambling in this way.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategy, What do you think? on: December 26, 2018, 03:17:32 PM
Honestly this looks like it was just thought about on the spot and written instead of really laid out with details and such.
He was probably just surfing online (do people even say surf online anymore) and just thought about it and wrote it here.

It makes absolutely no sense and it is insanely crazy to even write it here, of course there is no point of putting trading and gambling together, what kind of crazy person would gamble with bitcoin just so they could make more money later on, why not gamble with fiat and than buy crypto with it to begin with!

This is really sounds like a kid and I am sorry but if you bring the anon parts of gambling to this world I am sure there are a lot of kids under age of 18 even 16 who find a way to make crypto by selling some stuff and start gambling at a very early age and that is just bad.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: Nasdaq in Bear Market With 20% Drop, Dow Jones Worst Week Since 2008 on: December 26, 2018, 02:08:38 PM
It shows clearly that there is no correlation between nasdaq and crypto markets. Nasdaq has been on the fall for a while and many people lost thousand even millions of dollars and noone is really looking to switch to crypto. I mean I assume that way because there is not a sudden surge of volume in crypto unfortunately.

I assume it is because crypto had a 2018 type of year and people do not think that is a way out as well, I mean if we were in 2017 and the prices were going up while the nasdaq was falling I am sure we would have seen a great volume increase from people coming in but because of 2018 bear market we had I don't think they are going to jeopardize their investments and get into something even more dangerous than stocks. This basically puts an end to the question "what would happen if the other markets fall".
