61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: April 04, 2024, 02:06:14 PM
Liam Paro is undefeated but his challenge is with a boxer that has a 100% KO rate.

Though Subriel Matias is not undefeated but his record is very scary. As the poll suggest, everyone thus far is rooting for Subriel Matias and I think there will be no excemption here, Subriel Matias might still win by KO or RTD as that's the outcome of his last 5 fights.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 04, 2024, 12:50:18 PM
Hey everyone,

As online gambling platforms continue to grow in popularity, I’ve been wondering about the future of traditional, land based casinos. With the convenience and accessibility of online betting, will brick-and-mortar casinos become a thing of the past, or will they evolve to offer experiences that can’t be replicated online?

Do you think they’ll manage to hold their ground, or will we see a shift towards exclusively digital platforms?

From the word comparison, "online" vs "offline", both offers entertainment as it's gambling but it offers a different experience. Maybe online gambling will generate more income as it serves the world (less countries that ban gambling) while land base casinos only offered limited numbers of gambler. Both will co exist, and only the difference is which one gets the biggest slice of the pie.
63  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] SportScore.io Live Sport Analytics For your Sport - Blockchain Sport Bet on: April 04, 2024, 11:45:21 AM
If I'm not mistaken, there is one bookie that also uses smart contracts, namely the sister site of one of the famous casinos on this forum, but the bookie doesn't have an ANN on this forum so it doesn't get enough attention.
Would you mind sharing the name of the site? They don't have an ANN thread here but I'm interested to check.

I also want to check that casino/sports-betting service too! We can also make a topic about it, and open the discussion for reviews and experiences of its users.

I believe one of the biggest narratives of the current cycle will include Bitcoin DeFi and Bitcoin on-chain applications. It has the potential to release more liquidity into that market and it will probably bigger than Ethereum in my opinion.

I think it's more appropriate if someone who would create an ANN thread is part of the team so we can get direct answers from them. Since they have a sister site, then for sure they are already awaree that this forum exist and the most popular on crypto discussions, and that includes gambling as well.

I'm not so familiar with "Bitcoin DeFi and Bitcoin on-chain applications." relating to gambling, as personally in my simple understanding, I use a typical type of casino but the payment is just through cryptocurrency, but I'd love to learn though as innovation is unstoppable.

I checked directly and there are only bets available on football, no basketball, tennis or anything else, so the words all sports are not correct, or maybe because your website is not fully functional so the types of bets are still limited.
But whatever it is, welcome to this forum, you have to start choosing to promote to get more attention from members of this forum, and good luck for your business.
I did the same but I could not see any bets or anything related to betting. What I saw is more on scores and a little information about its statistics. I haven't explored the website yet but I'm reading some comments especially from OP (himself) to find more information about the site, but since the development is continues, I'm assuming it's not yet 100% operational to the way it's expected to be.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 04, 2024, 06:54:44 AM
Randomly surfing on the internet I just saw Malachi Flynn's crazy stats. He dropped 50 coming from the bench, this is the franchise record. It's more impressive when you think about his season stat is only 4.6 points per game. He's not a 6th man or a guy who gets too much playing time.
18/25 FG, 5/9 3PT, 9/12 FT. He's +14 while Duren is -25 and Ivey is -12.
Cunningham rested and other players shot bricks while Flynn shined alone. Pistons lost but it's not important, they tanked at the bottom anyway.

Yeah, crazy stuff for a bench players and then scoring 50 points, he will probably live with this numbers after he retire and it's hard to see who is going to follow that record. He was the 3rd players though, after Nick Anderson and Jamal Crawford.

And probably this record, 5.2 points per game for his career, has the lowest scoring average of any player with a 50-point game in NBA history. Anyhow, they are not going to make the play-in and tanking, they will have to wait for next season to try ang go improved.

I have no idea who this player is until I saw this topic that he produce 50 points vs the Hawks. Good for his stats as that would boost his numbers and most probably he'll be getting more minutes becacuse he showed what he can do. And the fact that they are against a team who treat games like extra important, that's very impressive of him.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here ever visited El Salvador and tried paying with bitcoin there? on: April 03, 2024, 11:58:36 PM
I have no plans on visiting it anytime soon but it's really interesting to see people and their experience with it. Reading about it with the government making available their own wallet is somewhat surreal that it's happening. If it makes everything easier when using it, why not? It could act like just a hot wallet, you know.
This really amaze us how some countries hated bitcoin that much, but here with El Salvador, the government praises a lot when it comes to bitcoin. Well, not to mention the head of the country itself is a bitcoin enthusiast, so expect that bitcoin will be encouraged a lot in all his citizens.

I am also interested to visit El Salvador but probably, when I’m no longer seeing bitcoin as a maximum investment, that when the time comes that I also want to spend bitcoin to satisfy my wants and needs and El Salvador is the key.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 03, 2024, 01:16:47 PM
Betting on the games today.

Meralco vs DYIP in the first game, as I see on the bookies, the line was -5.5 for Meralco,.. I think I'm going to bet on them today because they came from a huge victory over the Ginebra, so I'm thinking maybe the momentum will continue.

Their previous game.

DYIP (92) vs Bossing (91)
Bolts (91) vs Ginebra (73)

Unfortunately they weren't able to carry that momentum as despite of the win, they were not able to cover the spread. Sad that Meralco didn't start strong, I guess that's their style against weaker teams, they only charge strong in the 4th but just enough to win the game and give the backers on the spread a heart ache.

Anyway the 2nd game is up, for some reason I could not find a betting odds on my local bookie so I would just say pass to this game, but watching.

That was a bad timing for me, LOL. I should have wait for the live betting to get a better line as Meralco was trailing in most of the quarters. I guess it's not really for me. I'd like to try to win back my losses but the 2nd game does not interest me, it does look like a trap but not sure which team is the right bet. Currently ROS is leading by 9 points but they are -16.5, no for me.

Look like it will end up to another blowout loss of the Converged. With less than 6 minutes and ROS is already leading by 23 points, this could go worse after the end of the game. I can't believe how bad the Converge is, they used to be competitive but now they are worst than the DYIP and Blackwater as they are still winless until now. The long break did not even help them to figure out how to win, instead the problem gets bigger.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 03, 2024, 12:08:56 PM
NBA fanatics we have a new poll for the coach of the year award. Only 2 voted so far. I voted for the young Mark Daigneault. No one expected the Thunder to come on top this season. Not even in the top 5. And Mark is coaching a very young line-up including a rookie. His starter lead by a 25 year-old Shai and the others are 21 and 22? Mark definitely deserved it even if OKC drops to number 3 in the west because Denver is expected while Minnesota has 3 superstars. And in the east? Boston is star-studded while the Bucks also added the veteran superstar Damian Lillard.
Same here, he turned the young OKC like a championship team. They were at number 1 but now at 3 but the season is not yet over. Regardless on what rank they'll finished, it's very evident that the OKC has showed some consistency and have beat a lot of great teams. SGA has been having some injury problem that's why they dropped, but even without their main man, they still win games which showed how good he is as a coach.

This young OKC team might be the dark horse in the playoffs, and I don't see them getting an early exit like a first round exit.

They are really so good this season but we can't conclude yet if they are really a championship team. This young team is not been tested on playoffs yet and we know the atmosphere on that series is really different since we can see that all teams became more competitive that's why we need to see first if they can advance to the next round. If OKC could able to do that and defeat those teams that are projected to be a favorite to land into the finals then maybe there will be no other further question that they are really great.

So hopefully they don't experience to get choked on first round since its exciting to see a young team compete and win a championship.

Of course, we are not even in the playoff and so we can't say if they are good. We can only conclude on what they are showing us. And with that at the top of the West, then we can say that they are indeed in best shape for this season.

And then we will see if they can pass the test with flying colors in the playoffs, they might be facing a experience team in the first round, and this is the first time that we might see them post Westbrook and KD. Now they have SGA as their leader and he should really proved that he is the franchise player by winning at least the first round.

@inthelongrun brought about the coach of the year voting, and I think it does not count the playoffs game or even if the team will not reach the playoffs a coach can still win as coach of the year. I think OKC has already achieve big success in the regular season so far, so that's enough for Mark Daigneault to win that award.

I hope this young team will not face a strong team like the Lakers, maybe if they'll face the Kings in the first round, it would be good for them as despite the Kings already entered in the playoffs last year, they are still a young team for me.

I have a feeling that we will see a lot of upset in the playoffs especially that an old playoff teams are not at the top of the standing.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your educated guess on BTC price at the end of 2024 on: April 02, 2024, 11:52:58 PM
In all honesty i'm unsure on the talk surrounding 79K GBP (100K USD / 92K EURO)
There are still eight months left in 2024. Every month that passes, there may be a spike or decline caused by an event that affects market activity.

Whatever the price, it can still happen every month after month that will pass this year.
Nothing is impossible when the time comes.
Price speculation to keep us enthusiastic about going month after month.
Being optimistic with the bitcoin price is still a good thing. If you think it would certainly rise into $80k above, then if bitcoin will gain more positive updates within the next 8 months, then most likely we will still witness a higher price than that, which makes it more possible with $100k.

I’m actually not totally optimistic with how bitcoin price will go through this year, but still unexpected things will still happen when we least expect them. It could be bitcoin price skyrocketing, or the massive price decline that’s beyond our control. So let’s just wait and see.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: April 02, 2024, 11:28:48 PM
I don't expect anything special on halving day. What I do expect is that halving will slowly take effect and in a few months we will have a rise to $100K and beyond. By reducing the supply of new Bitcoins and having generated in the previous cycles price hikes there will be fewer Bitcoins for sale, or for sale at a price that the seller considers low.
We are now closer to bitcoin halving and yet, there’s still no anything special that come up with bitcoin price these days. So might as well not to expect more from this halving, just focus on hodling until we end up seeing an impressive price when bitcoin bull run comes. However, this halving is still an important event for bitcoin, that’s why majority are still looking forward for great news days before halving.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: April 02, 2024, 10:50:39 PM
There are those types of investors that are looking into quantity and not quality because that's their principle and strategy on this market.

To me, that's fine because it is their money and whatever works for them should be done by them because they believe that works.

But based on my experience and what I have seen with many folks, it doesn't really work like magic because the more you invest in various altcoins, the more complicated your portfolio becomes.
You're right indeed. Your money, your rules, so you can chose to invest on your own. However, trying to invest in a variety of altcoins will never guarantee multi profits. Instead, it will only make you more susceptible to losses most especially if you ended up investing in the wrong coins. The risk to lose is certainly high, once you entrusted your funds more into altcoins than bitcoin.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: April 02, 2024, 09:59:38 PM

Op it's not about doing all this, it first comes down to knowing how to trade, when to trade, how to take profit and the last one don't be overshadowed by greed,
Most persons are just overshadowed by greed of making huge money from just a single trade, trading is risky, so therefore risk management should also be put to consideration, so with proper analysis a trade is supposed to go smoothly except it goes otherwise, so during trades alot of factors are involved and put into consideration.
Perhaps, these things are very usual to happen for all traders. But with the influence of our greed, everything will change and even forget the things we need to do in order to succeed because what is in our mind is to chase winnings even if the situation is not good anymore. Losing control our of emotions and greed will simply lead us to nothing and the more chances we fail instead of reaching our goal. This may not often happen to old traders but this really happens to newbies who think that trading is just too easy and an easy money game.

It is very important that before we start to trade, we already know our position and must understand the volatility of the market. And of course, must not underestimate trading because every single mistake, it incurs losses as well.
Greed is the biggest enemy of trading. If you act as a greedy trader, it’s like you break all of these reminders, until you see yourself losing in the end. One mistake will definitely ruin all your plans in trading, so it’s better to start trading only when you already have perceived rightly the reality about trading. However, not all traders tend to follow all of these. Not because they’re not aware, but because it’s certain for individual trader to adopt different strategy from other traders, as long as it shares the same goal for trading, that is to succeed and get profits in the end.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will you finally buy on: April 01, 2024, 11:53:01 PM
People with no interest in Bitcoin will always look for excuses whenever you ask them when they wants to buy, and they will be ready to talk about negative things about Bitcoin when the market go bearish, but they will always keep silent when the price is pumping.

Buying Bitcoin has no time, you can buy anytime you want to buy. DCA method is also available in case you don’t have money to buy at once.

That's exactly how most people behave towards Bitcoin, they will always have a negative opinion about Bitcoin in other to cover there excuses, although the truth is that irrespective of how potential and how good it is for people to venture into Bitcoin but we cannot force them to, so we that believe in Bitcoin and it potential we will always continue investing and also in terms of wanting to buy in a particular price I don't think is necessary because Bitcoin has shown and proving that we can invest anytime and have a good return in the future that's if we are willing to hold. And also like you mentioned DCA is also a good method to be adopted in terms Bitcoin investment because it has it has it own guidelines.
Those who procrastinate from buying bitcoin do not actually have the faith to invest that's why they end up with invalid excuses. So let's stop from encouraging them to enter bitcoin investment because once they incur losses, they will end up blaming us for that. Instead, let's just focus on our own. Eventually, when they see us making great changes in our life, that's the time they will encourage theirselves as well to try and study bitcoin investment. At least, we won't be responsible anymore if ever they fail on their investments.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: The benefits of risk taking on: April 01, 2024, 11:19:27 PM
Those who take risks are not taking it blindly. They always have a vision and have a sense of what they will do in order to prevail against such risks. Also, not everyone is capable of assessing these risks, that's why not a lot of people are businessmen and are just consumers of services and products from other people.

Some of these people who took the risks basically know the word like the back of their hands because they already had some businesses before that failed. They are starting from experience and that, to me, is an advantage that cannot be taken away from you nor can be taught by anyone but yourself if you underwent the process. Not everyone is capable of taking risks because not everyone has the same risk appetite, knowledge, or experience to take it and would prepare a safer approach towards building their wealth.
Those who succeed when taking risk are obviously taking calculated risk. They have seen already what's coming if they just take risk without preparing for it, so the best thing they can do is to study and make calculated risk, otherwise they will end up failing and regretting after. However, majority are still taking risk without weighing all its consequences most particularly for newbies, but the good thing at least they learn lessons from that and avoid doing the same mistakes again.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the current bitcoin bull run confirmed now ? on: April 01, 2024, 08:59:41 PM
We had bitcoin touching even $70k not long ago. It has almost doubled in few months. Is this the sign of current bull run. Or we can expect even more movement and then the bull run will be confirmed ?
Most probably it is. We are starting to see the bull run now when bitcoin created a huge price hike that ended up with the current price right now. Despite of its price correction, bitcoin price remained still at a good price which makes the market look more bullish than bearish. However, I couldn't help but expect more price increase when we are getting close to halving, most especially if we are going to hit the bull run after that. I think there's no need to confirm that we are starting to experience bull run now as the market itself creates a bullish identity.
76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on the market right now? on: March 31, 2024, 11:25:56 PM
The market doesn't seem to go up or down which is hard to assume where it will go from here since looking at the indicators, most of them even BTC are somewhat overbought already.

But if you have to buy, choose the one that has good updates already. FET does have updates recently where they are merging with other AI projects, though it's a positive update, I'm still skeptical. I would just keep my stablecoin still.
Know the right coins to invest. Altcoins are highly risky, so if you want to risk your funds, make sure that you’ll go for those high utility cases in the market. Make a long term planning by observing the altcoins in the market first, until you’ll find the potential coins to invest. And always invest a small amount first. Altcoins are susceptible to losses, at least if you lose you will only lose a minimal amount which is not regrettable at all.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: March 31, 2024, 10:57:25 PM
Personally I don’t think one is necessarily better or more attractive than the other. They both serve their own purpose, different purposes, so I think they are both attractive in their own way. Personally if I’m someone with a large enough portfolio, I’m making sure that I own both gold and bitcoin.
You’re right then. Both bitcoin and gold can be much attractive as the other. While there are good profits with bitcoin, numerous amount of people also make decent profits from gold. Hence, both can be profitable in their own ways and purpose. So taking both sides as an investment may create multi profits in the future. The more you diversify your investment, the bigger the chances you’ll gain massive profits.
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: March 31, 2024, 08:52:51 PM
Initially, I use to think merit is by chance ( i.e something that will just happen) or lengthy article ( i.e writing too many paragraphs and the rest of them), but I have come to realize that, it is more than that.
I have being discouraged several times because of my numerous posts and replies yet no merit then. Even now, some times I use to be discourage. However, the only way to get merit is by posting quality article ( that is what determines merit) which almost everybody is aware of now.
In summary, don't look at the quantity of post you have make so far but instead try to adjust, I mean improve in your posts, above all be consistent and patient that is the key.
You catch the right point. There are many accounts whose post quantity is above 2000 but they don't get a single merit especially such users are bounty hunters.  Moreover there are many accounts which have not received merit even in last 2/1 year. To get merit, a user must pay attention to the quality of his post, not in his post quantity or length. I would like to give you another suggestion at this place that first remove the merit earning from your mind and spend time in the forum and ask questions on the topics which you find difficult to understand.
And besides another thing is to present what you know or what you are learning, basically help the users of the forum and find out new ideas, you can see your merit will come on your own.
I would also like to suggest you to read this topic- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3182178.0
While merits are required so you can level up on your rank or position, but getting obsessed with merit earning is not good at all. It will only push yourself to end up making topics that are not relevant at all because of your obsession to get merits. My advice is just take a single step one at a time. Take time to learn everyday until you come to absorb the most essential ideas in the forum. Eventually, your knowledge develops as well as your potential to create quality posts. Merits will easily come in the future even without lengthy post and time consuming post.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: March 30, 2024, 11:59:54 PM
One of the biggest mistakes in trading is to open a trade without understanding and thinking of selling at a high price which is a decision without considering the range. Both the newbies and the old ones make a lot of mistakes in this field to increase the profit share and finally come out of trading with loss. If someone follows your advice, they will hopefully be able to play a more effective role in decision making.

         -     That is something that a novice in trading should not do. But no matter how many times someone says such reminders, there are still many stubborn people who enter trading.
That is their main reason for entering trading.

Because if you want to make money quickly in trading, that means you will also quickly hate this field of crypto space for sure, and you can even curse it because you have high expectations about the industry of crypto space.
As much as there are easy to teach or remind traders, there are also a lot of stubborn traders that are trading in the market. Not realizing that if they keep doing their mistakes in trading, they will never progress on their trades but will only suffer from consistent losses. I've been there before that's why now I've learned already my lesson and I won't repeat the same mistakes again.

Greed is always in present in trading. But if you want to except with trading profits, don't be highly greedy but learn to control your greed and control your emotions when trading, the only key so you can gain excellent profits from trading.

base on the terms and conditions I quoted from their website, yes. according to the terms and conditions any attempt to circumvent the restriction they have will result to account closure and balance forfeited.

Were you able to access betonline.com live or was this from a saved webpage or some sort? I can't seem to access the website even after trying with several locations lmao. Third party website checkers like urlscan do not work too.

Another interesting thing is, the last archived date on the wayback machine for this domain was on 2020, see: https://web.archive.org/web/20240000000000*/betonline.com

It seems down 🤔

That domain was already down because they change domain to Betonline.ag.

BetOnline has switched to the Betonline.ag domain name. Their Betonline.com domain is still active but they told their partners that the Betonline.ag domain will be their primary address starting on April 4, 2012.[7][8]

I tried to click the registration link and it asked a phone number, so probably they employ an SMS verification.
