481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: November 03, 2023, 09:50:08 PM
Since bitcoin is performing very well in the market, I am convinced to say that its price is certainly more bullish compared to its previous market price. And I think the fake approval of bitcoin ETH has helped it to be where its currently positioned right now. But definitely, when this ETF will be finally approved, expect that there will be more price surge for bitcoin.

However, I can't also tell that the bearish days for bitcoin are now gone. As long as the market is highly volatile, there will always be chances to see bitcoin price dropping again, but that's just to prepare us for it's new all time high adventure.
482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost of my capital has made me to have a change of mind about Bitcoin . on: November 03, 2023, 09:11:43 PM

Greetings to everyone, please i am new in this forum and I was directed by my friend to join the forum to get information and answers that I need to know about Bitcoin.
The challenge started when a friend introduced  cryptocurrency to me and I picked interest about it ,I  started making some researches on how to trade and invest in Bitcoin ,I downloaded candle stick bible as directed by my friend so I can have a good knowledge on how to understand the reasons for the formation of each of those candles  And the reasons for their existence,
I went through those stress to also learn how to analyze and also to know bullish and bearish moves ,to know when the market is trending and choppy but after all these processes and following those strategies I will still loose my capital . However, my question here is ' what is the best strategy to trade without losing my initial capital ?.
Please friends I need advice and answers to this question because I know we have crypto experts here in the forum who will assist me and also educate me on what I need to know about Bitcoin trading .Thanks .
Losing is part of trading so expect that in every trade you made, there will always be inevitable losses that you will surely incur. However, with your current position as a trader, I can't say that trading with less knowledge and experience will be a good decision to trade. You are not supposed to be trading in the market because you're not even capable yet, the moment you decide to trade, the risk even becomes higher that made you lose your capital while trading.

This is not only happening to you but to all the newbies who decide to quickly enter trading believing that it could be easy for them to make profits. But in reality, there will be more possible losses than gains when newbies decide to trade, simply because they don't have enough skills and strategies that will make them protected against the risk of losing.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 03, 2023, 08:38:21 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.
Not only bitcoin but certainly in all investments that you are currently into. Learn to live life privately and keep sensitive information only to yourself. Even if you say your relatives deserve to know about your investment since they are asking too, but know that when it comes to money, you can never trust a single person even if he is part of your family. That is why it's best to keep your mouth shut about your current investment and achievements in life. You don't owe any explanation for them as each of us has a private life that we need to protect.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 03, 2023, 02:27:07 PM

Fight is getting closer as well, everyone should be excited to see this second week of November. The odds hasn't change a bit, Shakur is still the favorite and I don't think we are going to see some swings as the fight goes closer.

No, there won't be any changes in the odds because it's not a team game. If one boxer is injured, the fight will either be postponed or, in the worst case, canceled. As expected, Stevenson is listed as the heavy favorite with only 1.08 odds. It may not be very attractive, but if you look at the bright side, it's almost like guaranteed money in this fight.

Currently, the odds are as follows:

Stevenson 1.08
De Los Santos 6.80

Over 10.5 rounds 1.22
Under 10.5 rounds 3.85
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 03, 2023, 01:53:58 PM
Denver Nuggets got destroyed by Minnesota from the very start of the match. Murray was just off and without him things couldnt go the right way. Jokic cannot play on his own and win all of the games. Warriors also got lucky. Klay Thompson with a game winner and they keep on beating the Kings.
Yes, they did. The Denver Nuggets should've just taken the rest here if they knew they could not win. But what's intriguing is our sports bookies which seems like they knew the Nuggets would lose that game. The handicap was just -1.5 in favor of the Nuggets which means they are not a super favorite in this match.
I forgot to think about traps. My bad.

Devin Booker played and the Phoenix Suns are still being defeated by the San Antonio Spurs. Damn, Wembenyama is killing them. Worse, it might become a blowout game with the Spurs at 20 points lead with just 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter. The Suns would need all their strength to return in the 4th quarter and make many stops. A lot of work to do.

I don't know what is happening to the Suns or it is Wemby proving that he could defeat even the most offensive team in the league. I actually love it even though I might lose my bet. It gives the unpredictability of the game and it also changed my way of thinking about the young Wemby. He might really give Coach Pops another playoff appearance.

Wenby was crazy tonight, and if not anything, they showed that coming back from 22 points down the last game against the Suns was no fluke, they dominated the game from the get go if when Devin Booker was going crazy and the Phoenix Suns tied the game 116, the Spurs handled the game perfectly well, it's very hard to believe that squad are just a bunch of very young guys, I for one thought they'd struggle after losing Devin Vassel to a groin injury in the first half, but it never deterred them from being still very perfect and protective of the ball while in possession, with Wenby, it's still very too early but the conversation for the Rookie of the year might already be over.
Coach Pop might have discovered a team that could dominate the NBA in the future. Hopefully, he'll win another championship before he retires. Wemby has a promising future, and personally, I thought the Suns would recover from their disappointing loss because Booker was available. However, despite Booker's good performance, the Spurs didn't stop working hard, and Wemby had an exceptional game, his best in the NBA so far.

As for the bet, Did somebody here won on Spurs moneyline?
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is this fascination with claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: November 02, 2023, 08:21:01 PM
The reason is simple, they know how popular Bitcoin has become and how the whole world is adopting and admiring Bitcoin, and we know that when something becomes famous, people tend to become appreciative or praise the creator of that thing, and that is the exact reason why these people are trying their best to prove that they are Satoshi Nakamoto or at least claim to be. From the list you've provided, I've only known about Craig Wright.

I don't really understand what makes them think that the public will actually believe in them and accept that yes, one of them is actually Satoshi Nakamoto. Besides, how the hell do they know that Satoshi was actually an individual and it wasn't a group of people who created the technology?
That is still unknown until today since the name Satoshi has been active only until 2010 and after that we have not heard from him/them ever since. But the only reason I know why a lot of people are claiming the name of Satoshi because they just want to take advantage of bitcoin while its hot and  is very in demand. That means when it comes to scamming, they will have the opportunity to scam a lot of people if they will be convinced to believe on them.

I have no other possible reason that I can think when it comes to this kind of situation. If its not about money, then these people would not be so trying hard to convince and deceive other people even if the chance to be successful is very slim.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 02, 2023, 11:53:35 AM
I'm excited about Romeo's return, the fit and nimble Romeo with his signature unpredictable moves. I'm pretty convinced SMB really needs him for a shot at another championship.

I almost forgot that Terrence Romeo is healthy and fit to play for the Beermen once again, i just hope that this time coach Galent will give him ample playing time to get back his confidence on playing competitive basketball.

TR7, CJ Perez and Junemar Fajardo are enough for me to help the import of SMB to clinch this conference's championship trophy sans injury to those three players mentioned.

Do we have the full list of imports players for the teams, especially for San Miguel Beermen? I think if there's good teamwork, SMB will be a strong team because the local players are in good shape, and JMF will dominate in the paint once again. Yes, TR7 is back, but we're unsure if he can perform at his previous level, considering his past injuries that kept him out of recent conferences. However, I'm hopeful about this because TR7 brings excitement to the crowd, especially if he makes a significant contribution.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 02, 2023, 11:35:05 AM
^^ There's just too many weapons for the Celtics right now, and I do believed that Tatum and Brown are the best duo in the NBA. And then when they acquired Jrue and Porzingis, I think they just made an upgrade as Porzingis can score outside and then we all know that Holiday can give you points and then play hard defense.

So no surprised why they are now the outright favorite to win. But we will see, just like last season they are also one of the favorites.

They just need to be consistent and not allow mental lapses specially in close games if ever they will have against the toughest team. 155 is obviously the biggest points that we have seen but I'm thinking that it can be broken by let's say Nuggets as it is one of the highest scoring team.

They've been winning by a big difference. This team is amazing because their offense is just as strong as their defense. Honestly, I can't recall any team from last season that scored 155 points or more. I believe this is the first time I've seen a team score that high; it felt like an All-Star game.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 09:04:49 PM
I do agree that it was a foul, but it is just a game, so it is not that important at this stage. I think it is quite important to realize that bouncing back from terrible mistakes is a big experience for these young kids, and they learn a lot from it. They still need some good squad around Wemby though.

They can't stick with that only as refs can sometimes miss to call a foul, and if it's not called, there's no foul to discuss. The crux of their mistake was allowing the Spurs to score 14 more points than them in the last quarter (33-19). Had they prevented that big run, the debate over a possible foul wouldn't even be on the table.

It's undoubtedly a tough loss for them, but it's crucial to keep emotions in check. They should take this experience as a lesson, let it go, and focus on the many games still ahead.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 01, 2023, 08:34:49 PM
It might be time for Fajardo to reclaim his status as the Kraken. He hasn't secured a conference best player award recently, which is different from the past when he consistently dominated. While he's not getting any younger, Fajardo, when in good health, remains an unstoppable one in the paint. In the past, there was another 7-footer who could challenge him, but I've forgotten his name; I believe he's currently playing overseas.

I think the player you mean was Greg Slaughter and yeah he is playing overseas now, currently, he is playing in Japan.

Injuries are the main reasons why Fajardo wasn't in his MVP form these last few years but based on his performance in FIBA and ASIAN games i think he will dominate again and capture some awards but not to the point that he will get the MVP award this year because as strong as he is but teams are now having some strategies to stop him or exploit his weakness on the defensive end.

What we have witness last FIBA games was the JMF that we used to see way back, if he will play that way and his teammates will be as furious as they can, I'm for sure that SMB will be again be back to the championship contender team, they've been away for some time but seeing the whole squad now, I like to see how they will going to end this new upcoming season.

With the healthy squad, SMB will continue to be one of the team that will dominate, though still depends on how coach and the players will find the chemistry and the right blending of players inside the court.

The coaching job holds immense importance, especially considering Coach Galent hasn't clinched a championship with SMB so far. The roster's capabilities are no longer in doubt; what we're eager to witness is how the coaching crew will unleash Fajardo's potential in the upcoming season. Just three days and 14 hours to go, and we'll get to see the opening game.

I'm excited about Romeo's return, the fit and nimble Romeo with his signature unpredictable moves. I'm pretty convinced SMB really needs him for a shot at another championship.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: November 01, 2023, 07:29:23 PM
Not that I'm a charting expert or a good technical or fundamental analyst let alone a bear, but I'm really surprised at the spike that's happened, and which is probably continuously happening as of this writing. So far, the price has already hit above $34,000. That's already more than 12% in growth in just 24 hours.

Has anybody somehow expected this kind of thing? Has anybody had at least a tiny clue that something like this would happen? I know Uptobers have been good months, but every huge increase especially a sudden one must have a big reason. I'm not seeing one that could push such growth so fast. I was really caught by surprise. Will a Bitcoin spot ETF be certainly approved soon that insiders have already relayed to their bosses the good news and the accumulation has secretly grown stronger?
If you have been in the market for years, you will witness a lot like this and will be exposed to sudden high price surge, same that you will also get used to its price fluctuations that happens every time the market crash or is moving sideways. That's how unpredictable and uncertain bitcoin movement is. One day it's up, the next thing you will see is it's already on the verge of dropping its price.

However, as long as volatility happens, all of this are just a normal scenario for bitcoin and the crypto market. But if this Bitcoin ETF approval will turn into reality soon, obviously it will push bitcoin to move up and reach a very significant price.
492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: November 01, 2023, 06:53:49 PM
No, I do not trust them. It's good such groups worked out well for you so far but don't be surprised if soon enough they try to dump some shitcoin over you, and you be an exit liquidity for them.

Don't blindly follow anything even if that thing made you easy money in the past.

Pump groups are there to make money of you, just like celebrities once a person is popular enough they get endorsements, similar way these groups get endorsement offers (even from scammers) once they are grown enough, and group owners may or may not do their due diligence on what they endorse, so it's you who should be careful.
They're here just for our money, and not really to help us stay in profits. If there are pump groups that are helping you out and are making you profitable, do not easily trust them because what you see and experience is part of their plan. In order for them to look legit and reliable, they should impress their customers first until they become too trusting and eventually bite their offers every now and then. Later on, you will see that these pump groups are not anymore helpful at all, since they have already taken advantage not just on your trust but definitely on your money. When you see it's happening already, just leave immediately. That's already a big lesson for you not to rely on any pump group or channel.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to keep your seed phrase secure. on: October 31, 2023, 08:08:42 PM
Google is not going to track me for my 0.002BTC. and it's not simple, a seed have 12 words I will translate 4 words in 3 different languages in different papers and keep them in different locations. Maybe 2 papers is good choice.
You must be new to the internet.
Anything that you do online and expose your seed phrase online, that's already a bad move for you. It's like you are feeding a hint to the hacker and give them the opportunity to hack your account. No matter how small the amount may be, hackers will always be hackers, as long as it involves money, they will always find ways on how to manipulate your account.

Your idea is great but because you do it online, the security of your seed phrase will always be at risk. Know that whatever you feed online will not be your full possession anymore, since it will always give them the chance to access and control your account even without your permission. No matter how reliable the platform is, as long as its done online, it will never be safe.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Little Advice For Gamblers on: October 31, 2023, 02:19:53 PM
We can only hope that, if we ever face addiction, the worst-case scenarios won't materialize. Addiction can take control of your life, causing you to lose friends and family, and leading to negative feelings, even potentially leading to desperation or self-harm.

Prevention is always better than cure, as we don't want to find ourselves in a situation where gambling addiction leads to tragic consequences. Our existence in this world should be about contributing positively, and ending one's life due to addiction only signifies a sense of worthlessness. Learning from the experiences of others is an effective strategy to minimize the risks, as addiction can be lurking just around the corner. At times, when we lose and frustration takes over, we may lose control of ourselves. So, those who claim that gambling is fun, it's not entirely true; it can be enjoyable when you win, but the risks and consequences are always present.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 31, 2023, 04:22:19 AM

Ngannou got himself a new fight, by the way, It's Deontay Wilder as his next fight. It wasn't confirmed but he recently answered some questions from an influencer about it to which he confirmed they discussing it with Wilder's camp. It probably just needs a little ironing. Weight and most likely money discussion and it looks like they are still going to be held in Saudi again. You can just hope it's not the same judge.

After knocking down Fury, officially Ngannou is now a boxer.

It's an exciting fight, but I wouldn't anticipate it going to the judges' scorecards. Both Wilder and Ngannou are known for their knockout power, with Ngannou possibly even stronger than Wilder. This matchup is certainly interesting if it were to materialize. So would this mean that Ngannou would already left UFC and now focus on boxing?
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: October 28, 2023, 06:24:58 PM
I think it is too early to say that Bull season has started.  The market could have been in a temporary bullish sentiment because of the bitcoin rally.  This may be a relief rally before the halving and Bitcoin price history that October had been a good month for Bitcoin.

There is also not enough good news to maintain the current price and if there is no new releases of good news, then it is possible that the Bitcoin market will move sideway again while slowly correcting itself.
We can only say that the bullish market is here to stay when the market is full of positive news, but it seems no big news are up in the market except for the expected bitcoin etf approval that will happen early next year. And while it’s not happening yet, then it’s not impossible that the market will be tested more and may experience a roller coaster ride before bitcoin halving will se to happen. Although it’s safe to stay optimistic on the market, but sometimes with unexpected news that suddenly hit and affect the market, we get bothered that some beginners end up panicking and sell their coins earlier before the real bull run happens.
497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Experience is key, go for it. on: October 28, 2023, 05:59:20 PM
No matter the amount of information you receive on this forum, if you don't practice and work on having a first-hand experience, you won't understand much...

Of course, theoretical knowledge that is not backed up by practice will not be able to provide you with a complete understanding of how the crypto market works. And only practical exercises will help us gain experience that will allow us to make a profit in the future.
They say, we learned fast by putting it into action. Experience is certainly the best key to be successful in all life’s endeavors. Not only in trading, but in all aspects of our life that needs more practical application rather than just staying on theoretical knowledge that you have obtained.

In trading, being highly knowledgeable is required so you will know how to time the market. But as much as knowledge is essential, building your skills through constant practice and demonstration is also crucial. If you trade without skills, it’s like you are trading like gambling. You know you are good but you will never beat the house advantage.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin and forget the investment on: October 28, 2023, 05:40:35 PM
Invest in bitcoin and forget it later on is actually a very profitable strategy when you want to invest without being bothered how its price will pump or dump in the next days. Otherwise, if you keep on thinking about your investment and would be more aggressive with your profits, yes you can still be profitable but not in a way that brings big satisfaction on you. It will only push you to be more greedy which I think is very unsafe when you are investing. Instead, forget your investment and act as you don't care about its daily price, until you finally realize that bitcoin has reached another all time high and it's time for you to sell and make exceptional profits.
This advice resurfaces whenever a bull market is on the horizon. I've personally found it to be quite toxic and misleading. Based on my cryptocurrency experience, I consider this advice to be a poor decision that ultimately leads to regret.
It could be quite toxic and misleading if you lost the goal in your investment in the end. You know, it’s hard to forget such a life-changing investment even when you say temporarily. You might forget it a week or months but still, you will continue to be updated about the current price of btc and the current market position. That way, you will know your next step on your investment. Even if you say long term investment, that does not mean that you won’t be bothered anymore if ever it’s price crash suddenly, once you put your hard-earned money, you will really do the best so that your investment and your hard-earned capital will not go into waste.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: October 28, 2023, 03:48:39 PM
^^ Ouch, barely two weeks from this fight, but unfortunately, Inoue suffered a rib injury. Just wondering though how can he get this injury? Thru sparring partner? Anyway, it looks like a freak accident and no one wanted to get injured near the fight. And obviously, Inoue doesn't want to go there with his injury as well, this is his first defense and he wanted that there are no excuses on his side.

Yes, against his sparring partner, and it was mentioned in the article shared by OP.
Quote
“Takuma Inoue suffered a fractured rib in sparring,” promoter Hideyuki Ohashi confirmed Friday. “The November 15th event has been postponed.”

And this is another sad news as we there's no definite date yet as to when the fight will happen.
Quote
It remains unclear how long the event will be delayed, and if it still happens this year. Naoya Inoue is confirmed to put his WBC/WBO junior featherweight titles at stake versus unified WBA/IBF titleholder Marlon Tapales in their undisputed showdown recently confirmed for December 26 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

And for Jerwin Ancajas, it's better for him to just wait for Takuma Inoue.

No need for a tune-up fight, he just don't know maybe he might get upset, just saying. So they need to take this into consideration as to not derail the fight with Takuma Inoue in the future.
That's exactly what he needs, he doesn't need to overtrain himself, he just have to time it when Takome will be healed as that's when he woudl also resume the training but this not likely gonna happen this year already reported possible.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2023, 11:10:46 AM
Another good game as well is the Jazz vs Clippers, very close game, and it has the playoff atmosphere. Jordan Clarkson and Markkanen did it for the Jazz. Clarkson hit that 3, pressure laden shot but he makes it to give them the lead for good.

The Clippers has time tough, but Kawhi took to much time to dribble and make his last shot, fumble the ball and then pass it to WB, airballing it. Not sure what's wrong with the Clippers though, they have a solid line up with Kawhi and Paul George, but it seems there's no chemistry whatsoever, as far as I can see.

Clarkson didn't have the best performance in this game, struggling with his shooting at 4-13 and only managing to score 13 points throughout the game. However, he showed his clutch ability with that last shot that changed the game completely. Clarkson seems to thrive under pressure and always steps up during crucial moments. Without hesitation, he took the shot, and bang! A beautiful 3-pointer.

The game was a close one, and either team could have won. Ultimately, it came down to defense, but since both teams are strong offensively, we witnessed a high-scoring battle. As for me, I didn't mind the Jazz losing, especially since they covered the spread.
