81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 29, 2024, 01:57:14 PM
~snip~
It adds up the hype but I'm starting to think this is getting serious. Dana White talks about Mike and calls his wife which she is saying Tyson taking this fight seriously and that he is training hard.

But they got to have an ambulance ready for this fight actually.
Hahaha he is legend and of course everyone wants to see it, but it turns out that many people don't agree with this fight because it is clear that there is no balance between the two.
One of them is Dana White, who is also friend of Mike Tyson, he once stated that this fight should not have happened, but basically both of them had agreed to contract for the fight that would take place.
Paul and Tyson have both prepared everything, they are increasingly active in coming to the training camp to prepare themselves as well as possible, but the people closest to Tyson are really worried about Tyson health.
It just that if you look at Tyson daily life and activities, he is very healthy and doesn't seem to have any problems with his health, well maybe needs an ambulance but who knows who will use it, I hope Paul goes with the ambulance that is provided. Cheesy

Too much hype for Mike. Why can't we just be realistic here, he is an old living legend but there's no way he can beat Jake Paul. It could bring easy money for two since MT is very popular and still lots of people think he could beat the young youtuber but I doubt it will happen.

Here's the opening odds (not sure if it's already available in bookies).

See? That alone would prove how bookies think about the chance of Tyson, it's very slim according to them.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 29, 2024, 01:26:01 PM
Celtics -16.5 away at the Hawks.  So many Hawks players out this shoukd be easy work for the celts.

I thought the same but turned out the Hawks are not giving that win to the Celtics. The game went to overtime and there Murray broke their hearts with the dagger shot. I believe this is the first time this seasont the Celtics lose 2 straight, so regardless of their opponents, I think I'm ready to gamble for them whatever the spread is.

Next sched will be against the Pelicans, Celtics here for sure.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 10:57:27 AM
I was just playing Hi-Lo, making small dollar bets, if it's 5 number card I select higher card and win, if it's 10 number then I go with 'low' and win.

Then I was greeted with Ace card, minimal possibility for equal card right (i.e, Ace), so I go all in, and guess what happens, the result is Ace means I lost the bet.

Then I have all sorts of thoughts blaming casino, like do they manipulate the result of the game when user goes all in. I am sure they are all fair, it's just that the possibility of losing the game may be minimal but it's never 0.

I'd say, never go all in, but actually it depends on how much money you have on your balance. If it's an amount you can easily afford to lose, why not go all in when you think your chances are great? Tough luck, mate, just tough luck. I'm glad you are not blaming the casino, like many other gamblers would do being on your place. Good luck next time!

it's okay to go all in if it was just a normal part of the plan, but out of frustration and you decided to go all in, then that is not wrong. If a casino is rigged or has been manipulating the outcome, then OP is not the only one that is a victim and most likely the casino is not popular or just a new one which might only exist short term. However, if they are legit, you can't think that they are cheating us just because you don't have a winning outcome on a certain session.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 29, 2024, 10:14:39 AM
The Houston Rockets have been playing incredibly well the last few weeks. They managed to go on a 10-game winning streak. I hope they continue to play like this and we can see them among the best teams at the end of the season.
It is great that they are playing with such a performance while Alperen Şengün is injured. After Şengün recovers, he will play very effectively in such a team. Then the Rockets could be among the best in their conference Smiley

I think it's refreshing to see a team that started really bad and now trying to get at least in the play-in and fighting it out against the Warriors dynasty. They force OT against one of the best team in OKC ad their own homecourt. And even if SGA didn't play, still this is a great win for the Rockets as they are a huge underdog in this game. One of the longest streak for this season and at a point wherein regular season is about to end. The Warriors also won though, so it will set up wherein this two are going to fight for every game they had, either home or away.

If they manage to continue with this performance, we can see them in a really good place at the end of the season. I haven't felt sympathy for the Houston Rockets for a long time, it's like I'm back to the years when Yao Ming played Cheesy
After such a winning streak, the motivation of the players will be quite high. I think they are strong enough to beat many teams right now

They have a winning streak, it's probably their longest this season so they deserve to be talk about. I have no doubt about this team now because Jalen Green is already playing the way he should be, he will become a father soon, so for sure that's his motivation on how he was able to improve his game now.  The key is, when Green is playing well, the Rockets have a decent chance of winning, and I think it will not stop anytime soon because their succeeding games I think it's a winnable games.

I have my prediction on their coming games.

@utah = win
vs dallas = win
@minnesota = loss
vs GSW = win
vs Miami = loss
@dallas = loss
vs Orlando = loss
@utah = win
@ portland = win
@ LA Clippers = win
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 28, 2024, 03:57:36 PM
The Houston Rockets also escaped with a victory against a more formidable opponent, the Thunder. And Jalen Green once again with a monster performance. Too bad, they're still in the 11th spot after GSW's earlier win over Orlando.

The Rockets' win over the Thunder was a surprise. I think if they continue at this pace, they can win their upcoming games against teams like the Mavs and Wolves. By the way, it's funny that the Rockets and Warriors will face each other on April 5. Most likely it will be clear which of these two teams will be 10th in the standings by then.

I wasn't surprise that the Rockets bet the Thunder as SGA didn't play, they have the edge because they are in hot streak while the Rockets missing their best player. I would say they were lucky in the overtime because their 3 point shooting was good, especially coming from Brooks who are not known to be a streaky 3 point shooter. 10 win streak now and just one win behind the Warriors, so this is where excitement is happening because there's only one team between  the two that will make it to the play in.

Just imagine if the Rockets will make the Warriors fall and miss the playoffs,  that would be a huge success on their part already, plus their journey will continue and might be lucky to be in the playoffs, who knows.
86  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 28, 2024, 03:22:35 PM
I don't know much about which vpn is better for running crypto casino. Because our country does not support VPN for casino games it seems illegal to them. Also, if you violate the rules of their organization, the account will be closed many times. If the account is closed then withdrawal will not be possible. I have not used any vpn to play casino yet we don't need vpn to play gambling in our country.
Then this is not relevant to you.

It's illegal to use VPN, then you can't use VPN....

Most casinos probably does not state they don't allow VPN, but eventually some of them will mess up and will make your account a violator to their TOS that's why your account is at risk of getting ban. We are talking VPN friendly casinos, so we should start with determining if the casino we are using passed on that vibe then we proceed on looking for a trusted VPN to fully have a enjoyable gambling experience.
Well, actually, there are some casino that are VPN friendly, like for example, I've read some users on this forum say that they access and play on stake with VPN turned on and has never had any issues, some other also give same testimony for bc.games and some other casinos as well.

But then again, there is actually no guarantee here since not all of us use VPN for the same reasons, there are some users who use VPN soley to bypass a restriction because they are playing from a restricted place or region, while other use it for personally privacy, there are some other users who try to cheat the casino, and use VPN as a means to hide their true internet information.

So, it all depends on what we are using the VPN for, but solely, for casinos that are VPN friendly, they are only friendly to user who are using vpn for personal privacy, but also, such a user should avoid using free vpn, for reasons I know is obvious to us all.

Of course there are, but in the case of @Volimack , the casino he is using is not a VPN friendly and according to him it's illegal or use VPN when I think the world illegal is just an exaggeration .. maybe the right word is prohibited since it's just a violation of the casino rules not the violation of the law which is what we pertain as legal.

There are lots of popular casinos that accepts VPN, but we don't want to make them use our logs against use because that IP will certainly change or different from our real location, and actually the problem only exist when we win a decent amount of money or a jackpot.

Does it mean that players has to pass the KYC first before they'll be able to enjoy betting on casino? Just to make it safer for us beause I read some posts that there are people who were not able to withdraw their winnings because they can't pass the KYC while in the beginning they were enjoying it without KYC.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
I'm sure such cases happened on other projects, but this didn't happen to us. Your first and last name is not important to us; first of all, we want to keep in touch with our guests in order to send them personal bonuses. We do not have mandatory KYC

Good to hear that from a newcomer in the forum. hopefully you'll be able to keep your words since this post will remain forever already.

We trust you, and personally I'm hoping a success on your platform here in this very competitive world you're in.
No KYC seemed very attractive for some but only for those who legitimately implement it (No ifs, or conditions, whatsoever).
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your next step if you experience a Great BEAR MARKET ? on: March 27, 2024, 11:59:30 PM
Initially you want to hold for a very long time but as a result of the bear market you loose your capital and half your investment yet the market is showing no sign for you to recover.
What's your next step as a first timer in Bitcoin /Altcoin trading?
I know newbies are always scared whenever bitcoin is dumping, whenever they are at loss, they do end up panicking and selling it, all what newbies want is immediately they enters the market, they should be in profits immediately, but they don’t know that things doesn’t work like that, sometimes you will be in profit, and sometimes you will be at loss, so when you are at loss, the best thing to do is just to hold your bitcoin patiently, with time it’s going to bounce back, you shouldn’t be in a rush to sell.

If am in your condition, and I already sold half of my investment, and bitcoin keeps on dumping, all what I will do is to reinvest the money which I sold the bitcoin, I know am getting the bitcoin at a cheap price, and I will hold till bitcoin bounces back.
We all have been into your shoes, and we are at once lose some of our future profits as well. But instead of regretting, I think this should serve as a reminder that experience will harness our knowledge and skills as well. Losses are inevitable in an investment, but if we don’t find smart ways on how to overcome it, you will keep losing even in your next investment.

My advice is never panic but keep hodling your coins patiently. Dumps are just temporary, eventually we will see another price increase later in the market.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is age a limitation in Bitcoin on: March 27, 2024, 11:29:56 PM
Yeah, but you need traditional banking to cash out or deposit to CEX... So even though no direct age barrier exists in crypto, there are indirect barriers. Theoretically, you could search for P2P cash - crypto DEX without KYC, but it may not exist in your area.
This might also not be a problem for anyone who has their ways and knows how to go about things, just like kids who run YouTube channels that generate them enough funds.

If the teenagers know their way, they can easily use P2P to sell whenever they want to, and they can either use any of their trusted relative accounts to receive the funds, which I can trade for gift cards that they can use for shopping in both online and outdoor shops. The world is now in a state where everything is completely possible if you just know your way.
Its always an advantage if you have gained bigger amount of knowledge on such things. If your current age is not acceptable, then there’s always someone like your parent or your relative that you can ask favor to. That way, everything will be possible when it comes to selling and buying. The only thing you can’t get rid when you invest is having some amount of losses. I guess that’s certain in all types of investments.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: March 27, 2024, 09:50:46 PM
The "win-win" situation applies only with hindsight.  For early investors, holding was a wise strategy.  But for those who bought at the peak of a bull market, the wait for profits can be agonizing, especially during prolonged downturns.

Basically every investment requires a lot of patience and Bitcoin one isn't that different. The return of investment in Bitcoin used to have as higher percentage as the user hold it for a longer period.
In recent years, the ROI was lower than the first years obviously, yet it is still profitable unless you panic sold your coins with a loss. Just invest what you are affordable to lose and keep calm. That's the advice that every investor should have in mind Wink
Regardless if you invest for long term or short term, it’s always necessary to only invest what you can afford to lose. No one holds the future price of bitcoin so to lessen the risk of losing, only invest your spare money that is not intended to pay your bills or buy your basic necessities. However, there is always advantage of you keep bitcoin for long term. Aside that it’s value appreciates in time, you will also feel less stress and less worries if you invest bitcoin at its long term.
92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: March 27, 2024, 08:43:29 PM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
You're a new trader? This is my advice. Don't trade at all. Tongue
Just kidding obviously.

Your 100$ will be lost that's for sure. It's like "You spent 100$ for additional trading experience", and it's worth it "ONLY" if you continue trading. Watching YouTube videos will help you, but it will not help you mold yourself to a point that you will become a good trader. Yes you can learn Technical Analysis on YouTube, but the thing is, it doesn't teach you how to control yourself or be patient. If you really want to trade, expect that you will spend money in learning just the basics of trading. I don't know if that's the case to everyone, but for me, I lost dollars when I was starting to trade just to learn.

My advice? Don't expect too much knowing that you're still a newbie, but expect that your 100$ will be lost since this is your first time. Just continue trading if you want to pursue it, keep some capital, learn with your experiences, and learn TA as well.
If you are a beginner trader, expect to lose more often until your capital runs out, that’s the reality in trading. As long as you are still learning the process, then it’s hard to anticipate profits when you are not skilled enough and don’t have clear patterns or strategies that you will use in the market.

I suggest to learn the basics first and try to observe old traders on how they managed their trades despite of the market uncertainty. While experience could be the best teacher, however start it with a demo trading account first before jumping into a real, live trading account.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you had bought the previous ATH you're on profit on: March 27, 2024, 01:36:18 PM
It is true that we often say that we should invest in bitcoin every chance we get, but that does not mean we invest blindly and without any specific analysis or strategy . For me, buying bitcoin at ATH is a bad investment strategy because we have to wait many years and only get very low returns . Meanwhile, if we have a clear strategy and plan, we will shorten the investment time and generate significant profits  .

Using the DCA strategy is completely different from buying at ATH levels . And we are just discussing buying bitcoin at ATH, we are not talking about DCA strategy.
Buying bitcoin at the ATH price is not recommended because you are at the peak of market risk where if the market experiences a significant decline then you experience high losses in just a short time, say you buy at a price of 69k and you only get a profit difference of 3k from the highest price of 71k, so you only get low potential to get high profits but on the contrary that you are now experiencing losses, I am very worried about buying bitcoin at the ATH price and it is better for me to choose the option to target buy when the market experiences a significant decline before the bullish market moment comes.
However, not all of us have this kind of mindset as majority of newbies still enter the market regardless if bitcoin price is at its peak, believing that its price increase will continue since the market is very bullish. But honestly, this is a very wrong strategy as you might end up with huge losses unknowingly. This is why we should get the right information before entering the market and before risking our funds with bitcoin. That way, we won’t be at a situation where the risk to lose is high, since we chose to invest at a bearish season.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 27, 2024, 11:07:51 AM
The cost of things has gone up so much so that it's glaring. Imagine paying 5-12$ for an average meal you could get before for 3$. The jump cost is extremely high. Cooking a meal at home can cost you the same amount you would spend on eating in a restaurant. Funny enough people still afford all these things without complaining. My anger is that we make money to spend it all into our normal life expenses. It's difficult now to save or invest unless you part of the rich people in society. An average man has to just eat, pay bills, and survive.

The cost of cooking a meal isn’t comparable with eating at a restaurant. We should note that a restaurant is different from a fast food joint.
The cost of living is obviously not it was a decade ago. You rightly noted that despite the cost of food, people still eat at restaurants and afford to splurge money on other things. It would be difficult to save enough money to invest in anything cause they obviously aren’t earning enough. Strive to earn more and there would be something left to save after settling expenses.
An average man likely doesn’t strive that hard to significantly increase his income level and that’s probably why he has just enough to eat, pay bills and survive.
Its funny that even though prices have gone up so high, still the people’s mindset do not even change or improve. If this is the case, then they’ll just expect that they will continue to get poorer if prices never stop from surging high. Unfortunately, inflation is here for good. So if a person won’t strive harder and increase his source of living, and will only settle for what he has already have, then he will only work for survival.

However, for those who have seen this coming, aside from getting side hustles to add up to their main income, they also tend to become smarter and wiser through investing in bitcoin, or even in other potential investments that may bring potential profits as well.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profiting from BTC: just luck? on: March 26, 2024, 11:58:38 PM
How can it be luck when you decide to spend your funds at the spot when Bitcoin is falling like a phone from 20th floor? If I even talk about my own journey, I waited for the moment when BTC went below $20k and I spent most of my savings and earning to get as much as I could below that price. Now If it's above $60k, that's not a luck. That's the reward of my patience and my decision making when everyone else was waiting for $10k.
I believe when you enter any investment, it still requires some kind of luck. But having knowledge and patience are generally the factors to make your investment works. You need to take risk to create future gains, and it’s not just simply luck, but being brave and being determined to reach your goal in your investment mold your great motivation when you are in an investment.

Re: Quick way to learn bitcoin trading
I am not just comfortable with your caption. You could have just asked for ways to learn bitcoin trading and not quick way to learn bitcoin trading. The word quick is making me think you want to steps. And we know that in cryptocurrency trading, the basics are so much important that they are not supposed to be jumped. It is the basics that takes much time to the learnt and when you eventually learn it, you can start implementing every other method from the idea gotten from the basics.
So, if you desire to learn bitcoin trading, just have a permissible time frame at heart but don't go for everything so quick that will make you jump steps. There are alot of articles and journals online and there are offline coaches willing to teach.
You’re right. There is no quick way to learn in trading, because if there is any, majority will definitely be trading at its expertise right now. All should start with its basics first, until one is capable enough to develop his own strategies that will work on his own trading style. Furthermore, all beginner traders should endure consistent losses at first, until they start overcoming their mistakes and losses which may lead them into profitable traders in the end.

Yes the centralized platform will still ask you to KYC at some point even though some still don't KYC now, we know casino regulations are now strict so one day KYC will become mandatory.

In the past how exchanges did not implement KYC but now almost all exchanges implement it, so my own thinking is that gambling will also be the same in the future so to maintain privacy will be difficult later.

But now just live what we do in the casino, the fact is there are still many casinos that tolerate users who do not do KYC but are still free to play so I still enjoy this now.
Casinos and exchanges (centralized platforms) are the same.

They will not do KYC if they are not scam and abuse KYC card to steal user money.
They will not do KYC if they are not forced to do this by existing regulations in countries where they have their business licenses.

As users, we can not avoid KYC if they add KYC to their Terms of Service, AML procedure. So we have to avoid to store big money on any platform if we know about this risk and don't want to KYC.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

KYC is not a bad term from a platform if they do it because of national, regional regulation but to avoid unwanted troubles, don't store all or big fund on any centralized platform is a golden rule for yourself.

Okay, so we will not store big funds in a casino if we are not complying to the KYC yet. But, what if the situation happened that we are too lucky and we won a huge amount of money, like $10,000 in a casino and our account are not KYC verified? What do you think will happen? Can we claim it? How?

KYC = Law.  That's it, if a casino is not govern by law, they should not impose KYC.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 26, 2024, 05:21:45 AM
I don't know is this have been discussed before here on the gambling discussion board or not, but let see how our independent opinion on this question will be and what to anticipate should Incase we find ourselves at that stage in time.

Just as the title stated, what do you think will becomes of gambling enirly if we wake up one morning to the news of global banning of football,  or a country ban it citizens from participating in football both as a game and also a sport.

Do you think gambling/casinos will lose it popularity since chunk number of their clients are from sport bookies section?

Just one sport getting ban would not change the interested of the gamblers to gamble. If there's no more football games, there are still a lot of games where we can bet, we can name it as basketball, volleyball, and even billiards. Man, this world would be boring without gambling, so it will never affect the sportsbook or any gambling entity as people will still gambling.

If you want to see a massive disruption then the government has to ban gambling.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 25, 2024, 11:59:21 PM
I wouldn't have said this but I am much more concerned about the fact that we have been hearing so many people talking about holding Bitcoin for the long term and never selling. I find it so confusing that after investing so much in Bitcoin for years we won't want to sell our bitcoin till we die.

Many of us invest in bitcoin in order to profit from it and to have it act as a store of value that we may even transfer to our families by giving them the seed phrase of our crypto assets before we pass away.

Nobody has, in my opinion, made the decision to keep bitcoin in their portfolio forever. There will certainly be when they intend to sell their Bitcoin holdings for enormous gains and that's no one business when anyone decides to sell their bitcoin.

What matters is how much bitcoin have you accumulated so far and what price are you selling your bitcoin at.
Keeping bitcoin forever is just probably a white lie, that’s up to you if you will stick with it or just take profits everytime the market is capable to. However, I don’t see it as an issue if ever there are actually investors here who keeps buying and hodling with no plans of selling. As long as it’s never a burden for them and still manage to live their lives conveniently, then hodling forever is fine, because I’m sure they have prior plans before risking their money in bitcoin.

But as for my personal view, we are here to invest and gain profits, so it’s given already that we need to sell in order to get satisfaction from our profits, and hodling forever will always be impossible for me, well that’s only from my personal point of view.
