401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you follow these tips then (Hacker challenge) your bitcoin impossible to hack on: November 30, 2023, 08:46:56 PM
Well, no matter how much we try to safeguard our account, there are really times that hacking becomes hard to control. Even professional investors are still prone from hacking if they become careless at some point. So investing with caution and protecting the security of our coins should always be a must, and not only when hacking becomes rampant.

However, even if we end up following all these tips, we cannot guarantee that hacking will never happen. It's part of any investment already that sometimes hacking even becomes inevitable.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Its A Gambling Joke But Reflects Bad Things About Gambling on: November 30, 2023, 11:31:28 AM
I guess this kind of joke could really sink to the hearts of the gamblers compared to the serious advice they'll heard and read. I also read the same joke but the one is different...

Gambler says... he can now afford to rent an apartment because of gambling, says from a gambler who use to have his own house. LOL... So it was just a joke, but if we reflect hard, we would understand that if we won't be careful with gambling, time will come this would happen to us. Bringing this is helpful @OP... this is for the gamblers who arent' still seeing the risk of what they are doing, so hopefully they'll see this joke and reflect seriously.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 30, 2023, 11:05:26 AM
Let's see.... I can't wait to see this fight so speculation would stop, but personally I'm not expecting a miracle here, I just want to see an explosive fight, regardless if Tapales will win or not.

What miracle do you mean? Is it if Tapales will win this fight? Sorry mate, I think I would disagree with you on that because Tapales is also a champion and we've seen how determine he is to win by doing hard training, so supporting our own here is the right thing to do, maybe not what you want but I'd say the right thing.
404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why rush, instead of taking your time to learn about the forum ? on: November 29, 2023, 09:51:07 PM
The only reason why people rush into learning the forum because of their greed that push them to enter bitcointalk forum so they can invest or trade later on. They are never concerned actually with the facts and ideas that they can gained from the forum, but they are more concerned on the profits that they can gain from successful trading or investing. Without knowing that everything starts in the forum, if they are not well-knowledgeable and well-skilled on their chosen career, then the rate of being unsuccessful remains high.

This is the reason why we should never rush and take a shortcut to be successful. The forum has a lot of knowledge to share and real-life experiences to learn from, so its a must to start learning the forum well before proceeding into investing or trading, or even participating in signature campaigns.
405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: November 29, 2023, 08:53:04 PM
The truth is, you can actually  trade and make it profitable without announcing it in your youtube account. That is, if you really are earning well through trading, and you won't have to do extra activities like affiliating or doing youtube videos, that will gain extra income if the people will also subscribe on your channel. Trading with bitcoin is a private activity, so you don't have expose yourself that you're a trader, otherwise people will think that the reason why you are documenting all your trades is to gain followers and make an income, because you are not really profitable with trading itself.

In short, if you are gaining decent amount with trading, then you should focus on it and maximize trading for profits, not that you will scam people with your trading skills and strategies and claim yourself that you're a successful trader when in reality you're not even a pro in trading.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 29, 2023, 01:23:13 PM
So aside from the PBA season, there is also the East Asia Super League in which some PBA teams likely participate. I'm not sure how many, but I managed to bet on the Meralco Bolts today with a handicap of +10.5 (during live betting) against Jeremy Lin's team.

I was surprised that Meralco was able to control the first three quarters before struggling in the fourth. Usually, PBA teams are easily blown out in international competition, but here they were competitive, falling just short in the end.

What matters is that I won my +10.5 bet, as the Bolts only lost by 5 points.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 06:03:23 AM
Warriors showing their dominance on the Sacramento Kings again, a huge lead at the end of the second quarter. Although the Kings was able to put back 7-0 run in the last 1:30 seconds, but with that huge lead the Warriors are comfortable going in the 3rd.

GSW hitting 18 three points shot, 50%, so that is huge for them. But let's see if the Kings can make a comeback in their home court.

They don't want to get another L from their rival. Draymond Green back from his suspension and playing point as well.

As long as Thompson and Wiggins are playing well, Warriors will likely win most of the time. But his ain't over yet, we still have one quarter, so breeze yourself and hope that the Warriors will be able to hold on.

Yes, Draymond the man is back, damn, this guy is what the warriors really needed as the energy on the floor is very high, so hopefully no more choking game from him.

Yes there's still plenty of time and a game that once dominated by the Warriors has now become a close game. Warriors are only enjoying a 3 point lead now with still plenty of time left in the game, I feel this will end like their past games, but let's see if the Warriors would still come up victorious.

Crazy game with crazy sequence, here's the highlights of the game

Curry trap = turnover
Draymond unforce error = turnover

Malik Monk 3 point shot
Malik Monk 2 point shot (though shot) Sink!!!

Curry miss the last shot, Sac Kings win!

409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 28, 2023, 08:18:31 AM
No in gambling nobody can earn passive income as it is not a type of job but it is based on luck so when luck helps you then you will win otherwise it is difficult for you to get profit out of your used money in gambling. One can easily obtain salary but for it you will have to do certain job whereas in gambling you are not doing a job but you are examining your luck.

If you succeed in gambling, you are making an active income because you can't make money if you aren't betting. Those who are making passive income aren't gamblers; they are using the gambling platform by promoting it for their affiliates. Once they have recruited lots of gamblers, they make money from the wagers of those gamblers. However, the passive income they generate may not be as substantial as what gamblers can make when they are actively participating in gambling and are profitable.

You don't know that the bet which you put will be right or wrong therefore your future is not guaranteed that will you win or loss your money in gambling. Gambling is a risky thing and if someone is searching about income then I think that he should do a desired job or settle a business because gambling is not a way to earn income.

Anyone can learn in gambling. First, you just have to believe in yourself and believe that one can succeed in gambling. It's your mindset that will guide you to success. Because if you believe what other people say, that gambling is purely based on luck and no one could make money from it, treating it just like entertainment, you already lose even if you haven't started your journey yet.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 27, 2023, 07:53:29 AM
I find it hard to trust the Gin Kings to cover the spread, given their consistent status as heavy favorites in most of their games. Their reputation and the immense fan support make them a popular choice for many bettors, leading to blind bets on Ginebra without proper consideration of statistics against the spread (ATS). This trend makes it quite easy for bookies to set up lines that trap the public into betting on them.
Depending on the betting spread, it's possible. For instance, if the spread is around -3.5 (the highest), I think they're likely to cover it. The problem arises at times when they face a weaker team; they don't play with the same intensity they exhibit against tougher opponents. I'm not sure about the reasons behind it, but it's just my observation. That's why when a popular team is favored to win with the spread, I believe most bettors will automatically side with the popular team and take its spread without hesitation.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some people say they will never sell BTC. Is there any reason for that? on: November 25, 2023, 07:56:17 PM
So, time to time, I see some people saying they will never sell BTC. And I am thinking why is that? (I mean I understand that you can't say never, there will be a time you will have to use your BTC). Anyway, is there any calculations, reasoning behind this? Or it is just pure maximalism?

If there are reasons I would like to discuss them.
They can only say that when they're funds are stable but when emergency events start to arise, that's the time that they will realize that at some point, they need to take a part in selling not only because they need the profits, but the fact that they don't even know what will be the future price of bitcoin, then they should set some time goal when to perfectly sell their coins. I've heard a lot of beginners saying that they won't decide to sell their bitcoin  but when majority are selling, they also follow them.

However, if you are very determined and would want to stick to your plan forever, I guess that can also be but make sure you are financially secured with your fiat so that you won't be tempted to sell your bitcoin when the price has already reached a new all time high, and while majority are taking part in the selling season.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: November 25, 2023, 01:45:03 PM
-snip-
One more thing that @OP should add is only to use money you can afford to trade. Most traders still use all-in to trade because they hear the news circulating. They think that market conditions will change soon so they can enter and make huge profits by going all-in.
Not most or the majority of traders, but only novice traders who do not understand how to do good management and do not fully understand about crypto trading.

They are only dominated by the desire to win and end up being too greedy.
They keep putting money in and always buy, but when the highest target is reached, they don't sell it and hold it because they hope to get more profit.
This would be a perfect trap because they would panic when the price kept falling and eventually sell at a price below the first purchase and only get a loss.
Most likely, those who put all-in to trade are definitely those who have no or less experience in trading as they're not fully aware on its consequences, but only focus on the thought that the more capital they will risk, the higher the chances to make huge profits regardless of their limited exposure in the trading market. That is most common on the beginner's point of views, the reason why novice traders often lose than win.

However, as they consistently trade and end up losing, they slowly realized that trading all-in do not fit in trading, or if ever if it works, only those professional traders are able to succeed on it and not those newbies in the market.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping family businesses and fulfilling dreams with Bitcoin. on: November 25, 2023, 12:53:48 PM
I'm glad to hear that your efforts with bitcoin investment has finally paid off, and now you are taking a lot of benefits from your bitcoin profits. You must have been very happy that you finally achieved some of your dreams and your family's dream. So be grateful for those what you have, even if it means selling your bitcoin and losing your bitcoin investment. At least, you can buy back again when you have earned sufficient funds to invest in bitcoin.

For now, observe the market first and check if bitcoin's price has drop a little, because that would be a good opportunity to purchase again a portion of bitcoin and hold it for long term especially that the next bitcoin halving is imminent. Your future bitcoin profits will definitely grow in time, and if you hold like 5 years or more, you will reap massive profits by then most especially that bitcoin is set to reach a new all time high every year.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 25, 2023, 05:01:44 AM
I thought the Clippers had figured out how to stay competitive, but look at the current situation – they're struggling. The Pelicans took control early with a 33-15 lead. Ideally, the Clippers should mount a good run to get back in the game, but judging from past games where they've been down by a significant margin early on, their chances seem a bit slim. I'm anticipating a loss here, so their three-game winning streak will be over soon.

They did because they are leading the game now. They were just surprised in the first quarter, but they came back in the second quarter, trimming the Pelicans' lead to just one point. Currently, the Clippers enjoy a 6-point lead, and if they have an impressive third quarter, they might start the fourth with a double-digit advantage.

It would be an opportunity for bettors if they took the Clippers moneyline when they were down by almost 20 points. I'm wondering what the moneyline odds were at that time. Hopefully, somebody here was fortunate enough to spot that opportunity and can share the bet slip.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 25, 2023, 04:22:00 AM
ROS is still on a losing streak, but if you stick with them, you might start racking up wins, considering their efforts to turn things around. Bookies could keep labeling them as underdogs, creating ample opportunities for us bettors. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with Ginebra's performance. I didn't witness the consistency I was anticipating, even though their import has been meeting expectations. I feel like his overall impact falls short compared to Brownlee's.

Good suggestion, though, but only if they are up against a strong team. Sure bettors will be betting on one side only, at least most of them, I believe.

Anyway, we have two games today that I think would be worth watching, especially the first game between TNT and Bolts. I don't understand why they are in the first game; I mean, they should be in the last, since the last game, as per schedule, is SMB vs Converge. I don't find it an entertaining game, unless this Converge team plays like ROS, who are desperate to win, making it a close game. By the way, Converge is also winless as of this writing with 0-3, if I recall correctly.
416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your big plans for the Bitcoin halving coming up in a few months? on: November 24, 2023, 09:58:02 PM
I am consistently reassessing and reevaluating my investment strategy as the halving could have a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins. The halving could also lead to a surge in interest in altcoins. As such, I am on the lookout for alternative investment opportunities. And, of course, dollar-cost averaging (DCA) is a consistent investment I make. That's my plan, at least. What are your plans for the upcoming halving?
Just stick to bitcoin accumulation while doing DCA. For me, that is the best option that I can rely to than to diversify my investment with some too good to be true altcoins but later on, they gradually lose their value and become shitcoins. That happens to me before and it only make me lose a lot so I'm not repeating the same mistake again and lose that huge amount.

But Im open to the idea that your investment will be a lot profitable if you can mix it with some potential altcoins, so you need to find the right coins to invest to avoid unnecessary losses.
417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There's always a price to pay. on: November 24, 2023, 09:29:02 PM
That's what life is. If you aim to succeed on your life, then pay the price but still never expect that the outcome will always favor on you. Sometimes, what you assumed does not happen, but the opposite is. You need to stay patient and positive minded despite of the risks and hardships you need to endure, if you can overcome that, you will see then a more positive outcome.

Everything in life has always its corresponding risks and threats, if you are weak you fail, but if you are strong and chose to stand on your goals, you will succeed later on.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders Hesitant to Sell Despite Price Surge on: November 24, 2023, 07:16:14 PM
There's no point of hodling their bitcoin for long term if they suddenly sell when their price expectations are not met yet, except for unforeseen emergency cases that badly needs bitcoin profits so you have no choice but to sell it early. And I think as long as you sell for profits, then that's good to go. However, if there are no barriers to continue long term hodling, that would be better as you will surely reap the profits that you deserved.

With this, I see that most bitcoin hodlers these days have become more open to the possibility that bitcoin continue to appreciate its value in time. So the more years they will hold bitcoin longer, the more satisfying the income will be. Patience and persistency are the keys.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2023, 06:56:14 AM
The OKC is becoming a trend currently due to its 6-game winning streak and they're now second in the Western Conference. But it will be more exciting to watch their next 4 games as they're facing the other top teams, Philadelphia, Timberwolves, Lakers, and then Dallas.
When they saw Chet playing already this season, many including me expected that the Thunder would be better than they were last season. I mean who expected for them to be at the play-in tournament? There might be some, but not for me. Even though the season hasn't started yet, many already predicted that the Thunder will at least get the 6th spot.

They will clinch the playoffs. That's for sure, but we know that the regular season and playoffs are very different so even though they clinch the playoffs, they might get eliminated in the first round depending on the team they will be facing. I hate to spoil it, but that's my prediction. Anyway, I hope that the Thunder will continue to play like this, and TBH,

It was mesmerizing how OKC quickly transformed into a playoff team after Westbrook was traded. I expected their rebuilding phase to take time, but it seems they've already reached a successful stage. The primary catalyst for OKC's current success is undoubtedly SGA. He plays effortlessly and consistently produces MVP-level numbers.

Acknowledging that the OKC team is still young, it's challenging to fully trust them when facing teams with a consistent playoff presence. Yet, similar to the Sacramento Kings, I believe this team has genuine potential. This season is a crucial stage for them to prove their legitimacy despite their youth.

I might vote on Chet Holmgren as my Rookie of the year over Wembanyama. Cheesy

I'm with you on that.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: November 24, 2023, 06:17:03 AM
Indeed, it can't be a primary source of income. Gambling can only be considered a supplementary income source, as it solely relies on luck.

Honestly, I don't quite understand why people view gambling as a good supplementary source of income only. It doesn't make sense in my opinion because if you consider it as income, that implies you believe you are consistently making a profit in gambling—or, to simplify, you are in profit. So, why not be more ambitious and make gambling your main and only source of income? Just quit your job, as gambling could potentially provide whatever amount you desire as long as you excel at it. Of course, this doesn't apply to luck-based gambling.
