601  Other / Meta / Re: Activity, Merit, Politeness, fMerit, Imagination, Virtue, Coins, Karma, Posts !! on: April 01, 2018, 12:17:29 PM
My fMerit is down again to 313.
Your fMerit points are now 934. I really wonder how it change. Sir theymos said that the equation is "simple" but it seems like even my math professor won't be able to solve such a equation like that.
There's something we still didn't know about this new rank requirement. Better to keep updated about it or else I'm gonna missed something.

Well, let's just find out what will happen next. I'm really getting excited about this new system.
602  Other / Meta / Re: Activity, Merit, Politeness, fMerit, Imagination, Virtue, Coins, Karma, Posts !! on: April 01, 2018, 11:52:52 AM
I guess it is part of an April Fool's joke as there are no buttons to click to add those "FMerits", "Politeness", "Imagination" and the rest unlike the Merit system. I got to say that the joke got me as I was scrolling through some threads and I noticed a lot of new stuff under Activity and Merit, first thing I did was to visit the "Meta" section and find out there are no official announcement about the system. Also I take a quick look at my profile page and there was nothing new. I was shook at first but its all good now. Nicely done Smiley

I have checked the forum for an announcement too but could found nothing in Meta section besides this topic.

April fools but are you sure?

fMerit - how many times you said something bad about Merit system.
Coins - special coins issued by Bitcointalk (ICO soon)
Karma- you will get karma (+ or -) for bad or good behavior on the forum
Imagination - issued by moderators, no rules attached as for now
Politeness- never try to argue with staff or other people

This is how I think it is. Do you think that I am right?  Wink

Based on your understanding about fMerit. I really don't think that it is the basis of fMerit. So it means that you said something bad about Merit 128 times? And why the hell I have 166 fMerit in my profile? I haven't said anything bad about Merit, Seriously.
Actually, I don't know if guys also noticed it. My fMerit points decreased in unknown reason. Earlier I have 327 fMerits but now I only have 166 fMerit points.

Here's my proof.

Edit. What the  Huh Now its back to 327  Huh
It makes me feel like I really need to find out how the equation works, because I have no idea how it fluctuates (or it is just a bug that's why is decreased earlier).
603  Economy / Reputation / Re: "The Pharmacist" has more Karma than me :) on: April 01, 2018, 11:13:03 AM
I think the OP's definition to "Karma" is different to what Sir. theymos want us to understand.

Actually, based on what Sir theymos said.
Karma
This is how many non-scammer trust ratings you have both sent and received. Due to our strict moderation of the trust system, this is sure to be a highly reliable measure of your reliability vis-à-vis the trust system.
This "Karma" points are positive feedbacks isn't Sir SRF10?, but the OP's definition to Karma points seems to be a Negative feedback.

Am I right for what I understood about Karma? (My apologies if I'm not).
604  Other / Meta / Re: New new rank requirements on: April 01, 2018, 10:56:02 AM
I think there's no point for Sir theymos to fool us just because today is April 1st. It is just coincidence that he published this new rank requirements today. To those who said that this is just a prank. How do you say so? Because today is April fool? It is not a valid reason.

Instead of treating this as a prank, why don't you try to understand how it works. Don't waste your time fooling around. You guys are the one who are fooling yourselves.  I fully believed that Sir theymos is serious to this new rank requirements, put yourselves together, this thread was not made for fun. Actually we're already spamming the thread. Let's stop this nonsense talk about April fools or something or else this thread will keep flooding with spams. Instead, let talk about how it works. I know all of you are still curious in this new ranking requirements.

(Laugh at me for the rest of my life if I'm mistaken, but I'm sure that this one is not a joke)
605  Other / Meta / Re: New new rank requirements on: April 01, 2018, 10:25:42 AM
Politeness
How polite you have been in your posts, using language such as "please" and "sir". Politeness is after all the cornerstone of any good community.

Indonesians and Filipinos are going to be leading the pack in politeness.
Indeed Sir, Indeed.  Smiley
Thanks for mentioning us, Filipinos Smiley. Even though we're not too good at English,  The word "Respect" comes first whenever we talk to anybody.

By the way Sir. I've just noticed that your name has changed. Well, should I still call you Sir hilariousandco or Sir Sir hilariousandco?
Hehe just kidding, ofcourse I will still call you Sir hilariousandco Smiley
606  Other / Meta / Re: New new rank requirements on: April 01, 2018, 06:20:41 AM
Sir, please explain to me what is Virtue?
Like what Sir theymos said,
Quote

Virtue
This is an upright, God-fearing community which will suffer no witchcraft or other heresy. This stat measures your moral virtue. Warning: those with low virtue may be visited by the holy inquisition.

If this definition of Virtue did not satisfied you. In my own words, virtue is your morally good behavior. The numbers after it determines your good morality here in the forum. The more virtue points you have, the more good person you are (according to your behavior in this Forum).

Edit.
You sound cute, trying to protect your April Fool's day. But the real fun is reading the posts of people complaining about newly added rank up complexities!
Take it as a good sign that theymos knows that and even is able to make fun of it (and thus his own decision) in this way.

Though me hitting legendary at the last possible moment was a good fool as well (finally made it, regardless).

Like what Mr. theymos said
That's Sir theymos.
My apologies Sir. I thought calling "Mr" will only result as one definition, and it is "Respecting", by the way it still is. But I realised that the position of "Sir" is more higher than "Mr". And Sir theymos's position is higher than a Full Member like me. Actually it doesn't matter, as long as you respect a person from the bottom of your heart, calling him/her using any name will be just fine.

By the way I corrected it Sir Luptin  Wink thanks for reminding me.
607  Other / Meta / Re: New new rank requirements on: April 01, 2018, 05:44:01 AM
Wait is this an april fool's joke or not  Huh.

Too confused  Angry

This is not a joke or something. If you can read Mr. , you will know that this is a new Rank Requirements.
At first, I'm sure that people will really get confused by how this works, but if we try to understand what is the purpose and the goal of this new requirement. Just like Merit, time will pass and we will be able to understand it.
608  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Merit Phase 2 - Drain the Swamp (@theymos) on: April 01, 2018, 04:42:32 AM

Amend the forum to hide signatures of any account that hasn't earned at least 1 Merit in the last 2 months.

This will bar them from getting paid to post and not have any negative impact on anyone making even the tiniest contribution to the forum. Nobody loses their rank and even if someone is away from the forum for a while they can quickly get their signature back.

You know what i get your point on removing shitpost with the forum. Even though i am new to this cryptocurrency and this system but still rank is not the basis that the person holding the account is a dumbass. An individual with newbie account will not determine his/her educational attainment.
Anyway base on what i have understood with your post you were literally want to remove shitposter but think of it a number of accounts here will remove just because they do not receive merits. Merits are not readily given even if your postings are all good. A bigger chance that you will not be able to receive merits. As what you are suggesting is just like you will remove bounty hunters that will help every ICO to promote their project. You will going to monopolize those campaign for yourself. Then you are more greedy than those individuals creating  multiple accounts. You are worst than scam. Think of it many times. How could a project be promoted without the help of the bounty hunters around the world just to remove shitposter? Definitely your ideals are wrong. Go back to school kid.

Your quoting failed, and you didn't even bother to correct it.
And also
You know what i get your point on removing shitpost with the forum.
Your posts will be also removed if that happens. You know what I mean right?
609  Other / Meta / Re: The thin red line on: April 01, 2018, 04:32:09 AM
Doing typos isn't that much a problem as I think, because some people like me who doesn't use any other apps just to correct their spelling aren't noticing it after posting but still the message is understandable and some readers don't even give a fuck as they truly understand the OP even if some words are quite misspelled.

Though you have a point that misspelled words can also lead into a different meaning of the OP,  so for the fact that they must expand their knowledge or even their vocabularies just to have a good quality of posts that doesn't need any correction from the readers.

(If they're going to be hard on this then I think that it will not be fair as for the reason typo errors as I know are just written by accident.
Sorry but I disagree, correcting spelling is really important. If it is not important to you then your just like other spammers here in the Forum. You don't need to use any other apps just to correct your spelling, a simple keyboard with auto correct spelling is enough to correct those wrong spelling of yours.
Yes, you were right, some people are not noticing those wrong spelling words because they are already used to read such a typos. But not because they can understand wrong spellings words doesn't mean that we will keep posting sentences with wrong spellings. It is much better and more understandable if we correct it.
610  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 31, 2018, 03:00:28 PM
Then how about this, with the current system this will be the addition that can be implied to yours,
Checking their IP ADDRESSES. If the network's IP was already used from registering then it won't be used anymore. Certain programmers can only work on many IPs so its impossible for them to use many addresses just to create a new one.
Although we implement this "If the network's IP was already used from registering then it won't be used anymore." people will still find a way to create new accounts for farming. They can use other devices to register new account or even use VPN to protect or hide their IPs.

Actually it is not prohibited to create account using the same IP address. If ever that a certain IP address has been already used to create a account, we will just need to pay a little fee so that we can be able to post using the new account created with the same IP. It is not prohibited to create account as many as you want (as there is no rule about it if I'm not mistaken), the main reason why Moderators restricts us is because we are abusing it too much.
We can freely create accounts if we'd like because it is for free, but because of some exploitative peoples, farmed account existed. Without these abuser peoples, our Forum will be a peaceful Forum for sure.
611  Other / Meta / Re: The thin red line on: March 31, 2018, 11:04:58 AM
Sometimes, wrong spelling words can lead to a different meaning and can cause misunderstanding. That's why I agreed to you OP for this one. Correct spelling is really necessary. I'm sure that every one of us here uses Android/ios phones isn't? I'm talking to those people who uses Mobile phones. If you want to prevent incorrect spellings, why don't you use your mobile phone's keyboard's feature which is "Auto Correct Spelling". I'm sure that this will help a lot of people mostly are those who don't speak or write English properly. If your keyboard didn't support this feature then go to appstore/playstore and download a keyboard that supports this function. Solved.

Another problem is, wrong grammar. I understand why some people can't Write English fluently, it is because English is not their first language and it is difficult for them to construct a English sentence. But practicing to construct a English sentence can solve the problem.

Ranking up with Merits System is not that too difficult if your good at making posts.

Here's another Member who is now Full Member, Merit System is not a hindrance to Rank up. I proudly present Mr. iasenko. There is no doubt that this guy will made it to Sr. Member soon as he contributes well in the Forum.

613  Other / Meta / Re: what is actually our mission in the bitcointalk forum on: March 30, 2018, 09:47:44 PM
Every people has their own mission why they joined bitcointalk.org.  Some people joined because their mission is to gain more knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency world and some people only joined because they only want money.
That's the two kind of people. People who seek for knowledge and people who wants to earn.
But, as a part of the Forum's community, we need to do our part in exchange of being a Member of this famous Forum. Bitcointalk.org helps us to learn and also it helps us to earn. And as a exchange, we need to contribute in the forum and we need to improve it. But that's not what I'm seeing today. Looks like instead of improving, people are destroying bitcointalk.org's image because this Forum is one of scammers and spammers's hideout.
614  Other / Meta / Re: How hard it is to Rank up? on: March 30, 2018, 04:06:09 PM
This Forum's already running messy because of these nonstop topics about Merits. A day will not be completed without a thread about Merit not to be created. Why do people always need to talk about Merits? Can you people just can't move on and accept the fact that this System is only implemented to improve our Forum?,  but what? Instead of improving our Forum, it seems like we are dragging it down because of these nonsense, repeatedly, blablah topic.

People always worries about getting Merit. Why don't you guys just keep doing what you were doing before, the things you were doing before Merit has been implemented. If your posts really deserves Merit, then you don't need to beg for it (I'm now talking to everyone). If you people think that your doing good then you don't have to prove yourselves. Just keep being YOU. Then if you think that you need some improvement then improve yourselves, that's so simple. You can't be able to teach other people what to do if you can't even teach yourselves in the first place.

All I'm telling is, just have confident to yourselves, no one will hesitate to give you a Merit if you really deserves it.

Merit System is implemented not to drag down our Forum. It is implemented not just to improve this Forum, but also to Improve ourselves .
615  Other / Meta / Re: How to get Merit points on: March 30, 2018, 09:38:42 AM
Seriously? You are already a Full Member and you should've already knew how Merits System works Smiley You can get Merits from other members of the forum.
No he shouldn't
Sorry but "Yes He Should" , as a full Member. We should be responsible for following and knowing the rules already because we are already part of the Forum's community since when we registered and we must be improving the Forum by now.
When a Newbie account was created, the user is already responsible for following the rules (and Merit system is included to it) as he/she will contribute to the Forum. But why did you disagree to the point that the OP should've already knew how Merits System Works?
Just clarifying my side Smiley

Wow, its been a long time since I last visited this thread as I'm contributing in Meta Section for most of the time, I read all of your replies and I'm surprised when I saw those good comments from you guys. I can't believe that you liked my thread and leave positive feedbacks. I'm not going to quote every reply of you guys but it's my pleasure to tell you this, you are all welcome and I'm glad that somehow, I helped you guys out.

I really wish that my thread helped you, and not just helped you about Bitcoin wallets but also gave you all inspiration to create a good quality of post so that I'm the one who will be able to cherish your posts someday.

All of you also gave me inspiration to post more informative, unique, and quality post in the future. I know I'm still not good enough but I will try to improve my post more. I thank you all for your inspiring replies.

617  Other / Meta / Re: There are many smerit holdings but not readily given. Could we punish them? on: March 30, 2018, 08:04:25 AM
This guys seems like he's really spamming the Meta section and its really annoying. Looks like this guy's account is a farmed account and recently made to intentionally spam Meta section. Because if it is not a farmed account, he will not even attempt to post here in Meta section in the first place containing and titled about information that a Real Newbie will never ask.

It is obviously that he's just making this threads to increase his post count which is a wrong move.

618  Other / Meta / Re: Some attention to this... on: March 30, 2018, 07:46:35 AM
So now that you've tried to delete the originsl thread  you made you are putting it somewhere else.

Here is the original thread OP  deleted almost this exact same post except that you have less blatantly suggested searings account has been sold.

://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3220573.0

Why couldn't you keep the original post??

EDIT: quoted the post this time so you can't just delete it. While you might be trying to do some good, stop tossing mud sround hoping it will stick. If you want to keep this up do your own research before posting
Sorry Mr. Steamtyme, but it is not 1993jochico's idea to delete his recently thread. I'm the one who told him to move his thread or just make a single thread that contains all of the information he gathered. That is why he decided to delete that thread and move the information here. Here is what I said in his thread which can be found here
Hey 1993jochico, you've been posted/created so many threads about your investigations/suspicions about Merit abusers. I only suggest that you should make a single thread where all of the informations you gathered are compiled. Actually you already have a thread about Merit abuser right? Why don't you just keep editing that thread if your gonna update more suspicious Members and keep it bump.
My apologies. He has posted a lot of thread containing different information about Merit abusers that's why I ask him to do such a thing. Because posting thread over and over again with his "Merit Abuser" topic can lead to spamming the Meta section.
619  Other / Meta / Re: Decaying smerit should be impose. on: March 30, 2018, 07:02:38 AM
Some higher ranks and other Members are saving their Merits and their intentions are to transfer it to their alt account (or trade it). I'm not a 100% sure that even some Legendary members also abuse Merits but it is for sure.

Mind you not all higher ranks are good in english and some of them are just posting shits also. i have seen and read their post already in the threads.
Of course, not all Legendary Members can speak English fluently because some of them are from other countries like Russia, Korea, and etc, and English is not their first language. That's why we should not underestimate their post just because they can't write English properly, instead we should just understand it. But, it is necessary to post in English as long as you can post English post fluently and properly, mostly when you're going to contribute or post in some sections like Bitcoin Discussion and Meta as it only accepts English words.
620  Other / Meta / Re: Sometimes there are really lucky person. on: March 30, 2018, 05:54:32 AM

Well about your thread. Looks like you have another suspected guy, and this time it its vlad230 and Searing.  Well, I think you shouldn't make any accusation about this if you're not sure yet, you will still need a solid proof if your suspicions were really right.  You should hear vlad230's and Searing's side first before you settle things. They might have some feedback about this.

Edit.
OP is just curious. It means that there are no assurance about all of this Merit Abusers. A solid proof that will prove they were guilty is highly necessary before making any accusations.

Because actually, sending any amount of Merit depends on the sender. Everyone have rights to send any amount of Merits as long as they want. How if I send all of my sMerits to Mr. theymos and he send 50 sMerits to one of my post? Do you consider it as Merit trading? Sometimes curiosity kills, but like what I said. A solid proof can fix everything.

Im not accusing anyone please read.  Huh
And about the thread I make this to show that vlad230 is so lucky and not reporting.
Oops, My apologies. But since Vlad230 and Searing were suspicious to you, it will surely end up with a accusation too.

I will try to visit you from there. Actually I really like the way you investigate.
