As requested, just advising that I'm looking to support another bounty signature campaign for the next few weeks, but have posted using your signature for the last week.

I think this is a great project so will be back at a later date! Understand if it is not possible to provide any stakes for this week, given I've left a day early before the counting. Looking forward to the ICO starting in a few weeks time.

603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you mean by 1 stake per week? on: June 12, 2018, 02:18:24 AM
Stake just means a portion of the total pool available for that particular bounty.

Most (but not all) bounties take a 'stake' approach. They set aside a portion of their ICO income (usually 1-3 per cent) for the purpose of bounties, which are to promote and market the upcoming ICO through forums like facebook, bitcointalk signatures and twitter.

As the ICO want to 'fix' their expenditure, they will award stakes not separate coins/tokens, as if you awarded coins per post, you would have an uncapped number of coins going towards promotion depending on how popular your ICO is.

So with stakes, you'll receive a set amount of coins/tokens based on the number of stakes you have relative to the other bounty participants.

Simple example, the ICO decides that 10,000 coins are available for the bounty. They decide all of these tokens should be awarded for a signature campaign. Joe has 20 stakes, Tom has 10 stakes and Sarah has 10 stakes.

Joe would get 5,000 tokens, Tom and Sarah would get 2,500 each.

Hope that helps.
604  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Would you accept and Artificial Intelligence as a member of the forum? on: June 11, 2018, 10:53:31 AM
I definitely think it could be accepted, however...

Having a human type AI with our intelligence or higher is potentially possible in the future. But why would it participate in a bounty? Why would it participate at all?

It would need to have a motive or some purpose for doing these things, which it might generate itself. But if someone gives it that motive, then perhaps it isn't exactly AI but something more like a bot Smiley
605  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the predominant one among forks? on: June 11, 2018, 09:08:23 AM
The value of incumbency in cryptocurrency is massive.

Bitcoin is not, at a technical level, any better than most of the other blockchains/coins out there. In fact, depending on what you use it for, it is demonstrably worse (hence forks or brand new altcoins focused on privacy or whatever).

But because Bitcoin is the OG, every other coin is traded relative to Bitcoin and discussed relative to Bitcoin (in satoshis).

So being the first mover has huge advantages and I think Bitcoin will continue to dominate, specifically as a 'reserve' currency of crypto.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: June 11, 2018, 08:06:01 AM
Monaco is a future project that until now there is no rival (Centra is dead), it is a great opportunity to invest big money to Monaco because I'm sure that prices will continue to rise.
In reality, Monaco project has shown its strong potential, not future.
Nevertheless, lots of works have to be done to bring Monaco project and its applications much deeper into social daily life.

If it had a working product out there for the masses, then yeah, you could potentially say it has no immediate 'rival' in its field.

But until it has a working product, then every token or coin is a 'rival', as it is just another token that is yet to have a working product! Smiley

Given token lock up has started, I really hope we're looking at cards over the next 7-14 maybe weeks Wink

Yes we are indeed on the bot issue. Bots are considered spammers and will be disqualified.

Great to hear. I swear as soon as you have a good project with good bounty rewards, particularly since this one was for tokens not stakes, you have people trying to exploit what should be a mutually beneficial arrangement.

We help promote your project and get an agreed amount of tokens and everyone is happy. Having bots or spam accounts just squeezing everything out of you is just greed and selfishness. Hope you find all the bots/spam!
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ViValid - Items' value and ownership in the blockchain on: June 11, 2018, 07:01:02 AM
Is there a plan for additional promotion or marketing to get more people contributing to the project to reach the small cap?

As of right now we arent much higher than 10 eth according to etherscan, and will be harder to get more contributors when tokens rewarded drops down.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gravium | x16r | Masternodes | Community Ran on: June 11, 2018, 06:56:50 AM
So what's the dilution of gravium as a result of the swap from DSR? This could make people a bit nervous as the 'new' coin value is impacted by the value of the old coin.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2018, 12:41:47 PM
Debt of usa is over 21 trillion. Debt of bitcoin = absolutely nothing and never will. I dont know why people worry about how bitcoin gets its value when usd is in a debt spiral with no end.

I read recently that diw token now holds the 'record' for longest number of posts on their bounty page. Something like over 1500 pages. That is a huge amount of support, well done!

Now looking forward to receiving my tokens Smiley
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: June 10, 2018, 03:26:23 AM
You could add the new bounty to a separate new bounty page. I've noticed that more developed projects (like straks) that do bounties from there tend to be fairly popular, since there is a known value and following to the project.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 10, 2018, 01:01:29 AM
Robert is doing an awesome job recently to introduce Zencash on Youtube. He is doing a lot of interviews-introductions and as well conferences.
And with over 50 team members working to promote zencash, the platform has a good presence online but also offline

I think/hope hardfork will push up the price, at least, back to $40.

It will happen for sure, no matter if fork or no fork

Yeah just some nerves around the 51% attack probably, plus up to 2 hardforks over the next couple months. Change can make people a bit nervous.

However, all the changes are positive in my opinion, so definitely think it will bounce back. Also aside from the hardforks, there is so much going on with zenpub, messenger and a whole bunch of other products. Really it is a great long term project.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 10, 2018, 12:07:37 AM

Perhaps a creative way to get listed on a centralised exchange is for a mining pool to set aside a portion of their 'fee' to be used as a fundraiser for a particular exchange? And for users to also have the choice to donate to this fund (in case they aren't miners)?

Even if it is just 0.5% of their mining pool fee, it could get enough momentum to get on some mid sized exchanges. Would also be a win for the mining pool to attract new miners, who want to help build ravencoin while doing something they would be doing anyway (that is, mining).

It would need to have transparency behind it, where people can independently verify that the pool fee is going to a fund, which will be used for a specific exchange who has publicly agreed to list Ravencoin once the relevant funds are raised.

Just a thought Smiley

That is actually a great idea ...

We would be happy to do so for our new Pyroxene (theMINE) platform for RavenCoin (http://pyroxene.chainworksindustries.com/).

We need to maintain our 0.7% for the pool, but if we up the percentage, anything over and above the 0.7% fee will be put aside in a unique RVN cold wallet, and when and agreed amount is reached, we can trade them off for the amount required for the inclusion into another exchange. Our pools are new and on new servers, so we would need a number of miners moving in to do such a thing, but we will keep that wallet as a 'CWI Community Wallet' which cannot be touched for any other use.

Let us know if anyone would be behind this method and if so, we could start it as immediately as community consensus allows.

#crysx

Great! I'm glad you like the idea.

Even if you made your pool fee 1%, you could have 0.7% pool fee and 0.3% to fund an exchange. 1% total pool fee is comparable to suprnova so that should be a good sweet spot. Also with a 'tracker' of how close we are would help get the community on board.

There would need to be an exchange mostly lined up so miners know that the funds are going towards an exchange they'll actually use. I know the going rate on larger exchanges is quite high, so you could also consider new upcoming exchanges, depending on community consensus. For example, I think there is potential in trade.io platform which is expected to release this month.

I only have a small 6gpu mining rig, but would be happy to point it at your pool if you go down this path Smiley

Or maybe airdrop value will be so small that demand for TIO become very low, i prefer to sold out my TIO right now.  Undecided

Yea this could happen. They talk about airdropping thousands of tokens, but it's not the quantity, it's what they're worth!

But hey free tokens!
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will atomic swaps replace crypto currency exchanges? on: June 09, 2018, 06:24:10 AM
Atomic swaps might remove the need for larger cryptocurrencies to be traded on exchange or the use of programs like shapeshift.

Smaller and new projects will still need exchanges. Atomic swaps won't work for brand new or smaller projects - its technically quite difficult.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 09, 2018, 06:05:31 AM

Cryptobridge isn't bad. I've always seen coins grow from that exchange. Moon after new exchanges.

I agree cryptobridge is fine. But there were some concerns that there aren't enough trading platforms for ravencoin, which means if something happens to cryptobridge, we're kind of stuck. Also new exchanges means new audiences so there is that too.

620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 💰⛏ 💰⛏ 💰⛏ ICE ROCK MINING ICO2 - LIFETIME PROFIT on: June 08, 2018, 06:59:04 AM
On the white paper it shows 20% of income going to service and Electricity, it would be hard to have exactly 20% on expenses. What happens if there are more or less expenses than that? Where will the money come from/go? I feel like the 20% reinvest might be a bit low also, as you have to compete with the 10% to 15% increase in difficulty each month. If the difficulty starts catching up with the money put in things can go downhill quickly.

Would be better to have something like

Income - services = profit

Then profit share:
50% ROCK2 owners
40% reinvest
10% mining team

Other than that it looks like a solid project Smiley

True - having exactly 20% on expenses all the time is very unlikely Smiley

Reinvesting any residual from the 20% should be the way forward, but at the same time, you could support at least some of that money going to the mining team - after all, you want there to be an incentive for the team to come up with ways to reduce their fixed costs.

Still given the mining team will have their own tokens, giving any benefit to token holders would be the easiest way to keep everyone happy.
