601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the rally begin! on: June 18, 2011, 07:02:50 PM
I move for no price discussion in "Bitcoin Discussion" there are forums just for this shit.

And furthermore, I vote that we abolish it's decentralized nature, and put FreeMoney in charge of what is and isn't allowed for discussion.  Clearly he feels better able to handle things than the board admins.

Thirded.  What kind of fucking retards are trying to have "discussion" about "bitcoins" in "bitcoin discussion"?  Oh wait... me
603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the rally begin! on: June 18, 2011, 06:52:16 PM
What is with these stupid fucking posts?

Everyone and their brother with anything to do with BTC watches Mt. Gox.  We all know what the fuck is happening.  We don't need some excited dipshit farting up the main forum with every fucking dip and rise that graces a motherfucking bitcoin graph.

I had feelings of a slight rally today too. So I made a nice discreet post IN THE ECONOMICS FORUM. I made one brief comments about my speculation, then offered some basic basis for my assumption.

And I was right.

Just a nice simple thread to have some casual discussion.

But not here, in the main forum. Nope.

Every fucking movement there's some stupid asshole who has to open up with "IT'S RISING GUYS!"

"IT'S FALLING GUYS."

"GUYS IT'S RIS...NOT IT'S FA..RISING AGAIN GUYS!"

Hey, here's a hint:

SHUT THE FUCK UP

Take this asinine circlejerking over to fucking reddit.com/r/bitcoin if you just can't keep your compulsive retarded fingers from collapsing all over your keyboard at every market movement.

Simmer down Beavis!  Take your Ritalin.

Looks like its SLOWLY pulling back up... I know my funds finally cleared yesterday, I imagine others did as well.  And with mining taking a big hit on difficulty, I think we'll see some more buy-in.  I think what's keeping the price so low right now is so few people being willing to sell at the prices people are bidding.

Just my $0.02.  Would love to see it steady at 20-25 this week.

607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You just got hacked!!! Where were your coins stolen from? on: June 18, 2011, 01:10:17 AM
I thought I was hacked, but all the coins were just in my couch cushions - They had dog poop on them, so I had to take the covers off to wash them.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 17, 2011, 01:46:41 PM
Why would someone want to steal old Trojans out of a man's wallet?  Wink

Sorry, I'm just a grammar Nazi. You'll need to take that question up with the spelling Nazis.

LOL!  +einz.

Does people really go through all the trouble of that NDA just to hear out the specifications of a small project? These NDAs always set off a little alarm in my mind because people put too much value in their idea. Maybe that's just me.

Two have so far Smiley  NDAs are only scary if you're a.) paranoid or b.) malicious.  I doubt many people here are malicious.  In a world where certain ideas make money, and other ones don't, if you don't protect your ideas others are free to profit from them.  An NDA just gives a small amount of legal recourse.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gamecoin, namecoin, voteoin, witoin, somethingcoin on: June 17, 2011, 06:51:13 AM
How about gaybits, where you exchange penis photos in exchange for bitcoins? lol

I bet you pussycoins would go higher than gold in a couple of months. Cheesy

CoinSnatch?

The criminal accused must be treated as innocent until proven guily.

Fixed that for you.

Perhaps you can explain to us, Grammar Nazi, what "Guily" is then.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 17, 2011, 06:41:26 AM
There is a (new?) trojan wallet stealer out in the wild ATM.

Plenty of script kiddies and scammers are going to be trying to get you to download and install it, what's more they'll be putting posts to do so (using lies obviously).

Don't install anything linked to on this forum, unless it's been found by someone with a good reputation to be legit. Assume everything is an attempt to steal your wallet.

You should also encrypt your wallet when not in use.

Here is a portable apps version http://www.freeotfe.org/downloads/FreeOTFEExplorer_3_51.paf.exe

You have been warned.

614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Securing your wallet, creating new, etc. on: June 17, 2011, 06:34:21 AM
Some commentary on the Wiki article:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Securing_your_wallet

The "Making a new wallet" section doesn't really tell you how to do that.  It's easy enough to figure out, but for clarity's sake, would be nice.  It is also somewhat unclear when referring to making a wallet with a password what exactly is being referred to.

Would like to see more detailed information on switching back and forth between two wallets.

Just as an example, I backed up and moved my wallet file, and noticed I had to re-scan the block chain.  Not a big deal, and I think it mentions it, but perhaps some more elaboration on when it does and doesn't need to rescan the block chain would be nice.

Someone more knowledge than myself would be appreciated for updating the wiki - with everything going on lately I think we should focus on making it not only hacker proof but idiot proof.

mine was supposed to clear yesterday... cleared my bank like 2 or 3 days ago.  Not sure what the story is.
617  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Who pays transaction fees on: June 17, 2011, 05:48:58 AM

That's how open source works.  Just whining in the forums and continuing to disagree with the "whys" people have provided, will never change anything.

The other alternative is to use a different client and/or write your own (which you've said you don't want to do).

Time to move on.

I think I love you.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker got to my MTGOX account, he converted the USD I had...... on: June 17, 2011, 12:07:58 AM
maybe no more putting your wallet addresses in signatures as well...
That should not matter.

"Should" doesn't really apply in cases of identity theft... everyone's money SHOULD be safe... I'm just saying - too easy to track who's got what where, etc.  If you see somebody withdrawing 500 BTC from somewhere if you're a hacker, and you search for their wallet ID and come up with their forum name, etc. is what I'm getting at.

A complete list of features.

It's hard to bid on a project without the details which you're bidding on.

Does your hosting include shell access? You will need shell access to run bitcoind. I can sell you hosting as well as web design if you'd like.

PM me your email, and I'll send you over a copy of the NDA.  No shell acess, would be all javascript/php/cgi/what-have-you
