With say 15000 claims left to verify, this will take a 10 man team 3 days to solve if they do a claim every 3 minute round'the clock.

According to MT, there are 4 people working on this now. It's going to take it's while guys... My guess is that we will see more delays.

I worked at a company years ago that hosted websites.  We had a 12 man team to do phone support for maybe 500 websites, and the phones were packed 24/7.  Why 4 idiots are doing this is beyond me.  They need something on the order of 50-100 people.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX SO SICK OF THEIR BULLSHiT Should start a class action suite on: June 24, 2011, 03:57:54 AM
I will likely go there too (or perhaps a third option), but in the mean time, I would like to think Mt. Gox is taking the proper time to take the claims process seriously, and somebody else isn't engineering their way into my account.  You can't simultaneously criticize Mt. Gox for not taking enough time to secure their shit, and demand they hurry up, throwing security to the wind in favor of convenience.

I'm not.  I'm criticizing them for being ignorant, deceitful, amateurish fuckknobs that have no business running a business.  Except maybe selling stamp collections on ebay to old people.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGOX Launch . . . postponed on: June 24, 2011, 03:54:24 AM
I give up.  I had faith - that was has proven foolish.

Every single person who had a strong password should already be verified. Just like I tried to tell you (in an awkward manner) ~2 days ago, certainly you remember?

has ANYONE here been verified?  has anyone been able to withdraw money? even if they cant trade?

A decent ponzi will certainly allow a few people at a time to slowly get paid out, before the whole thing comes crashing down... it's a classic move.

We are witnessing a master at work, my friends..

Catch your money as it comes pouring out of the slot machine!!!

506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For those that fear for their passwords - use LastPass on: June 24, 2011, 03:48:49 AM
Awesome!  A browser plugin?  Does it include Bonzai Buddy and MyWebSearch?  How about Weatherbug?

Just post all of your passwords on this forum, and if you forget, you can just look them up here.

Other than you being the world's first password manager hipster, do you have any worthwhile criticisms of LastPass, or are you just fagging up this thread for attention?

Careful, if you were a basketball star you'd have to pay $100,000 fine and go on a super duper gay pride tour!

Is that like the honeymoon suite?

LOLOL!!!

Like the tradehill post about a ROUGE hacker.  I can totally picture a tranny hacker putting on rouge.

calm down guys. just another day.

If mt gox really wants to scam us there wouldn't be any messages on their page neither the claim function.

Sure there would.. u have no idea how charming and believable a good con man is.  And what lengths they will go to to steal a quick mil+

Wonder what kind of money they've made in interest and investments off 1+ mill over a week...

Yep you guys are right. You guys keep at it with your witch hunt meeting. I think I'll go elsewhere like every other person scared away by crazy lunatics on this forum.

If you do, I'll send you 25,000 ButtCoins to your Mt. Cox account.

When Mt. Gox finally does come up, thousands of people will have their cursor poised over the "withdraw" button.

You cannot run a depository institution like this.  In the US, when a real bank can't handle withdrawals, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation moves in. Just before closing time, an small army of FDIC examiners, auditors, and guards, armed with court orders, moves in on the bank. Everything is frozen. All cash is counted. All records are backed up.  The CEO and most of the executives are fired. When they do this on a Friday, by Monday, the bank is handling withdrawals, with FDIC staff running things.

The Mt. Gox clowns are saying "Trust us. We can't be reached by phone or mail. We aren't saying where we are. We aren't saying how much money we really have.  We aren't saying if any money is missing. We aren't saying when we'll really be paying out customer funds. We aren't saying whether we've been trading on our own exchange. Trust us."

Early on, it looked like Mt. Gox was merely a victim of their own incompetence. As time goes on, the situation looks more suspicious.

It's probably time to bring in the Japanese legal authorities. Whether they like it or not, Mt. Gox is subject to the "Financial Instruments and Exchange Law". This regulates all "financial instruments with strong investment characteristics" in Japan. It also regulates money transfer services.  Japan uses broader definitions in this area than the US does.

There's a shadow just behind me,
shrouding every step I take,
making every promise empty,
pointing every finger at me.
Waiting like a stalking viper
who upon the finger rests.
Murder now the path is must we
just because the son has come.

Jesus, won't you fucking whistle
something but the past and done? (x2)

Why can't we not be sober?
I just want to start this over.
Why can't we dream forever?
I just want to start things over.

I am just a worthless liar.
I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you.
Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you.
I will chew it up and leave,
I will work to elevate you
just enough to bring you down.

Mother Mary won't you whisper
something but the past and done. (x2)

Why can't we not be sober?
I Just want to start this over.
Why can't we sleep forever?
I Just want to start things over.

I am just a worthless liar.
I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you.
Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you.
I will chew it up and leave.

Trust me. Trust me. Trust me. Trust me. Trust Me.

Why can't we not be sober?
I Just want to start things over.
Why can't we sleep forever?
I Just want to start this over.

I want what I want.
I want what I want.
I want what I want.
I want what I want.

You DO realize, in your own quote, it shows you talking about butts hurting FIRST, right?

If you weren't mentally handicapped. You'd understand it was referring the the OP, i.e., "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right . . . "
[/quote]

Please enlighten me... I'm trying to figure out what clowns and jokers do that make you think of being hurt in the butt.  Did you have a bad experience at the circus?
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For those that fear for their passwords - use LastPass on: June 24, 2011, 03:34:18 AM

What an asinine comment. You're telling me you run your browser with no addons/extensions whatsoever? This isn't an annoying toolbar or OS program. It runs similar to Ad Block Plus for Chrome/FireFox. There are no ads, no popups, no annoyances. When it detects a form that it knows, it drops down a little bar under the bookmark bar and the user can select to auto-fill or auto-login. This isn't 1995 where computers have very few resources and applications are horribly coded.

Furthermore, there's quite a bit of difference between using a service like LastPass and posting your passwords on a public forum. Please, don't spread FUD and misinformation on topics you clearly know nothing about. Take your childish antics elsewhere.

Yes, I'm telling you I run my browser without any addons whatsoever... but if you told me I could get not only Bonzai Buddy and Weatherbug, but a POPUP BLOCKER with your product, where can I sign up?!?!

That's really awesome.  I like to use a different password on each site, so it would be convenient for a hacker to have access to every stored password by just getting access to either my browser or the 1 password I store all the others with.

I'll make sure to right it down on a post-it note so they don't have to work too hard at it.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGOX Launch . . . postponed on: June 24, 2011, 03:26:10 AM
Damn you, Mounted Gox. I woke up early for this crap. And I was having an awesome dream too. See, I have this white noise machine because the neighbor likes to chop wood and scream at things at all hours, and my noise machine was set to "swamp sounds". So I was dreaming that I was trying to survive in a swamp with snakes and crocodiles all over. My dog was there and he was annoyed me trying to chase birds, and paw and goof around with a turtle. I was angry because I thought we needed to cook and eat the turtle for "survival." Also, apparently I had a cell phone app to instantly light a fire in a wet swamp. Someone really needs to make this for real, despite the physical impossibility.

The dream really stopped being about survival at that point. For some reason, I thought I needed to build a swamp house, so I did, practically instantly, out of swamp trees. The house was on stilts, hovering over the swamp, and I distinctly remember thinking how it needed more stilts and wasn't structurally sound. Then I was really mad because it didn't have internet and I needed to check Mt. Gox and be there for the opening. Then I woke up.

Also, in the dream I had to pee really badly and when I woke up I had to pee really badly. And my friend said that my swamp house was a "sausage party" as no girls were there, and I said something like "Well I figured that you were bitchy enough to fill their absence."

Yeah, apparently swamp life make me a misogynistic asshole.

This just earned you the only donation I've ever given out on here.

Apparently your butt is used to it, probably don't even feel it now that they have screwed you so much!

Great contribution. Applause to trolls and thread flamers all around.

If they do shut the site down...there's nothing anyone can do about it. Welcome to the free, unregulated market.

while mtgox.Funds > 0 {
sleep;
};

I chose 1.  It has been more then a few days.  So now it's 2.  How the hell do you announce a new go live date, and then with 21 minutes to go, say oops, we have lots of unfinished work so guess it will have to wait another day.  At this point it doesn't matter when it happens...  it's too late.

With 20 minutes to go they realized they had already gotten through several users, and could finish the last 59,997 up in the morning.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGOX Launch . . . postponed on: June 24, 2011, 03:14:58 AM
Really? You are really going to do that? This is an example of why the Bitcoin Forum is full of crap.

Well, like your avatar says, Do You Part!!!
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGOX Launch . . . postponed on: June 24, 2011, 03:10:50 AM
Take a step back.

What do you hope to accomplish with stupid posts like this?

1) Either you wait a few days and continue to use MtGox

or

2) Your butt is hurt and you pull your funds out

Stop posting crap in this about how your so angry. This isn't "My Butt Hurts Forum" it's "Bitcoin Discussion".

Apparently being in this forum is like being in LA 1992 every day of the week.

What about MY so angry???
