621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now are asking for too much on: November 18, 2018, 06:31:18 AM
If you start a business and ask the bank for $10m they will throw you out on the street. ICOs should set a much lower and realistic softcap, even $1m or $2m is enough for most of these projects in the ANN thread.

Do you think they really need millions of dollars for a team to develop a program and then market it afterwards?

Actually, more that $10 mn might be needed for properly executing a good ICO. But the problem is that no one is thinking of long term and most of the project developers see their own benefits instead of that of investors.

This is also affecting the performance of good coins as it gives bad impression of crypto in general to new investors.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you invest in a new ICO? on: November 18, 2018, 06:29:37 AM
I have not invested in any ICO because:

1) I am yet to come across an ICO which is based on some technology that can surprise me.

2) Another major reason is the past performance of most of the ICOs. Most of the ICOs had failed to performed and judging by that I should not invest any money in these.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best investment in 2018 on: November 18, 2018, 06:28:07 AM
Hey guys, what was your best investment/profit in this “red year” 2018? I want to read your success stories to become motivated!

All my investments this year had given me loss only. Still I am not sad because of this because I know that prices will recover. I had invested only that money which I would not mind loosing as well because I wanted to be safe. This allows me to be patient with my investments.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrencies prices decline again, what much do we expect? on: November 18, 2018, 06:24:54 AM
For almost a week the crypto market has maintained a certain support level and ride in a range. Many thoght we where in the mist of a bull run until the last 24hours whend price declined further down.

Now what you think will happen next? Bull or Bear? I think we will see more bear trends till maybe in December when it could hold on a certain price to continue declining by January.

What do you think?

More than a month passed and we are at still at the same level with the same depressing situation. However, I expect that anyone  investing today can make good profit in next 1-2 months as have festive season coming up. I cannot invest now as trading is stopped all the exchanges in my country but will be holding the coins I have.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The whole market is red, but is it worth panicking now? on: November 18, 2018, 06:23:09 AM
Panic is never good with any financial decision you are going to make. Whether we talk about stocks or crypto, if you make buy/sell decisions based on panic or emotions, there is strong probability that you will be making wrong decisions.

To make good profit with crypto, you have to think rationally and make decisions accordingly.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: November 17, 2018, 01:31:48 PM
Following factors had made the market stagnant :

1) Whenever there is new coin released based on a new feature, we have 50 more coming with same feature in next few days. This saturates the market as spending capacity is limited.

2) There are a lot of shit coins being manipulated which attracts small investors also when price increase fastly.

627  Economy / Economics / Re: Price stability on: November 17, 2018, 01:20:27 PM
I'm not even sure whether this is a bad or a good thing right now but this is definitely unusual and I have never seen it before even though I have been in the crypto scene since 2014.

From what I can see the development (Lightning network etc.) is more active than it ever was, so shouldn't that give a little boost to the price at least?

Current situation is ideal for people to accumulate more coins especially coins like bitcoin, ETH and ripple. All these coins are available for cheaper prices and have solid background and can thus give huge returns in short time.

There are a lot of factors that are holding the growth of top 10 coins like availability of so many coins.
628  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrencies around the GLOBE on: November 17, 2018, 01:17:59 PM
What do you think about the popularity of Cryptocurrencies around the world, do you think many people now are aware of this Technology currencies?, how much percentage would you think and how can we expose and spread this? Smiley Smiley

In developing countries, less than 10 % are using crypto. To increase the use of crypto we can :

1) Make crypto part of school curriculum.

2) Accumulate funds for promotion of crypto through advertisements.

3) Make provisions for offline buying of crypto as well.
629  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF chief is in support of crypto. Keep holding on: November 17, 2018, 01:15:49 PM
It is good to see someone with authority in support of crypto. We just need some more encouragement from influential people and this will together boost the prices of crypto.

I am holding all the coins currently because I do not think that it makes sense in selling in loss. The market is uneven but it will correct soon.
630  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: November 15, 2018, 11:02:54 AM
It is said that central banks plan to release their own curypto currency in some countries, for example Japan..

How do you think about these crypto?

There should be consistent growth in such type of crypto because:

1) Since it is backed by government, people will also invest fearlessly.

2) Government might give initiatives to promote the use of crypto.

3) Finally, government has the budget and resources to advertise crypto which can lead to mass adoption.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: November 15, 2018, 11:00:11 AM
There also in crypto, there's scam
Haven't you been scammed before.
Well i've been scammed many times.

Yes, it is there especially with new coins in forms like price manipulation. There are some other problems like uneven price movement of crypto and so on. But there is solution to it as well like we can have some sort of regulation. If we compare crypto and cash based on transparency alone, crypto is miles ahead. Everything is recorded digitally forever.

632  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people will drive Bitcoin adoption more than the older generation. on: November 15, 2018, 10:58:02 AM
Young people are already investing but we need to include old people as well :

1) The old people have lot of savings and thus if they start investing in crypto in huge numbers, we can see growth in crypto prices.

2) Old people adopting crypto means that we can even expect a situation where crypto completely replaces cash.

633  Economy / Marketplace / Re: If Newbie Offers Investment on: November 15, 2018, 10:52:24 AM
what would you do if a newbie said he could develop your money and he asked you to invest money in him ?

I will give it a pass if I have an option. I mean if there are two members offering same service at same price, I will choose the one with more age and reputation. This is to keep myself safe and I think that it is logical for others as well.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: China declared crypto airdrop illegal. on: November 15, 2018, 10:51:07 AM
They already have declared crypto illegal. So, I fail to understand the impact of this additional ban.

There are ways to bypass these bans but I am not sure if that is happening there as the government there is very strict.
635  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: November 15, 2018, 10:50:00 AM
Most of the people I know are also against giving cash to people and helping them in other ways. But middle class people cannot do much. Creating a system or teaching them to do something might consume a lot of time and a person with regular job or business might not be able to manage this.

Solution to this is a combined effort from everyone to develop such a system.
636  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: November 15, 2018, 10:12:18 AM
We need cash for the old generation to transact. But encrypted money is the future because:

1) It reduces corruption. One of the primary reasons behind uneven distribution of money is that it is available mainly in cash form.

2) Crypto is something that can be integrated with other payment forms as well.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trusted altcoins? on: November 15, 2018, 03:25:17 AM
Hi there are too many coins in crypto
It makes difficult to find out which one is trusted which is not
So please suggest me the name of altcoins which you will find most trusted and profitable
It helps me a lot
Thanks

So far I had invested in ETH, ripple , tron and some more coins. I will suggest you to stick with top 10 coins based on market cap till you understand the market.

Note that the current situation of the market is not that encouraging, you might not be able to get the same ROI that people were getting few months before.

638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Choose Cryptocurrency? on: November 15, 2018, 03:23:33 AM
Different reasons are:

1) Easy way to pay and receive money.

2) There are less limitations in comparison to platforms like PayPal.

3) It is harder to track crypto payments as well.

639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How altcoins change your life? on: November 15, 2018, 03:22:22 AM
I had made good profits with coins like ETH and ripple in past but currently I am in loss with the alt coins I am holding.

I will not sell in loss and can wait for 1-2 years for prices to increase and give me good profits. But an average investor might not be in the same position as me.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: November 15, 2018, 03:21:09 AM
Is current time good for buy more coin?
Normally, I will buy more when the price of coin is dropped. But with this situation of the market, I doubt the effectiveness of buying decision. Please give me an advise!

If you got limited money or in middle class, I will say that you should hold on the investment. This is because there is lot of uncertainty in the market currently. moreover, the prices had been stagnant for almost all coins in this time period. I do not expect any change soon because we do not have anything positive coming up in news as well.
