621  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: DiabloMiner GPU Miner (LP, BFI_INT, async nw, multipool, 79xx GCN) on: September 04, 2012, 11:36:21 PM
Im seeing an increase of about 50mh/s on average going from Lion to Mountain Lion with a stock 5870

Went from 245 (pitiful for a 5870) to 302mh/s

Still not fantastic, but nice on stock for OSX.

Just a heads up I guess.

Thats almost as fast as what a 5870 should be without bfi_int, so OSX is slowly catching up to the real world.

Updated my binary to the latest as of today, now getting 345Mh/s

Cheesy

Interesting. I'd recommend every OSX user upgrade to Mountain Lion, but GPU mining is kinda dead anyhow now that ASIC is going to blow difficulty up in the next 3-4 months.

1253.16 BTC

Yes, and as of now DMC's assets are worth 1407.74 BTC and shares outstanding count is unchanged. Thats a 154.58 BTC difference.

Unless you returned some of the BTC (178,99), total market value is at 1228.7453 + 14.25379722 from BTCMC dividends (09.01.2012) and NAV is at 0.0594 BTC

Sans a small trade with Obsi for more ABMO, market conditions changing accounts for most of that.

Angry neighborhood bastard mod here.

Enough about GLBSE. Go take it up in the GLBSE thread.

DiabloD3's comment about enabling 2FA for each and every GLBSE activity is very good advice.  By 2FA design, even if your session is hijacked the attacker will not have the 2FA auth code to take any action within your account.  Here's the scary part.  GLBSE's 2FA measures might be buggy.   Take a look at this quote.

Even if you, after you totaly CLOSE Internet Explorer or Firefox, (I don't use Chrome, so can't test it) go to GLBSE your session is still active/logged in.

Actually, after you restart your computer, it is still logged in..

I have 2FA activated, but only have to fill in the auth-key when I use a 'new' computer..

I emphasize *might* be buggy.  It is not for me to say.

Problem is three fold. First, 2FA enabled does not require 2FA for every action, you have to click ALL the boxes to do this. Second, there is no 2FA option for buying/selling, only transferring assets between GLBSE accounts and withdrawing BTC and password changing and logging in, thus flash crashes using your assets is still possible. Third, GLBSE can (but doesn't) set cookies for session only, which means closing the browser clears the session cookies, but you should manually log out anyhow so this is the least problematic of the three.

I have brought this up with nefario before, he has not fixed it yet.

THe only reason I keep "trolling" is because you keep refusing to answer basic and straightforward questions, the answer to which you owe your shareholders.

Asking the same question over and over is not going to get a different answer.

Where did the money go ?

Nowhere. Assets were purchased, the market value of the assets plummeted due to market factors.

So, exactly, where do you think you're going with this?

Thats easy: nowhere!

Thank you for admitting you've been trolling potential investors away. So, what was your angle? You were going to buy a lot of DMC when it went cheap? Thats pretty dirty, dude.

If anyone needs a scammer tag, its you.

You are blaming me for your share price? Really? LOL. You have already blamed BFL, asicminer, idiot investors and now me. Anyone but you. No one else but you is responsible for the fact you hold 0,059934 BTC worth of assets per share. Shares you sold and still sell at 1BTC.  If I helped make that clear to investors whom you mislead in to believing you only sold 3000 shares and have a 100+ GH farm, then good on me.

No, I'm saying you continue to troll this thread. You must have a reason for it, and I think that reason is you're trying to make money from DMC somehow. I think you deserve a scammer tag for your effort.

This thread is for people who think Bitcoin and DMC are worth our time, not people who think trolling is the best thing since sliced bread.

No, this thread is for shareholders, people who untrusted you with 1000s of BTC and want to know what the fuck you did with them.

The majority of shares are held by two people. Neither of them are having problems with how I do business. So, exactly, where do you think you're going with this?

I would like to remind people that my nick is Diablo-D3, it has nothing to do with the game, it predates Blizzard Entertainment, Co, it has been in use since 1991, and I don't particularly care for the game series.

Excellent. Just the information your shareholders have been screaming for. Now if you could share your shoesize and what you had for dinner, Im sure everyone will be totally satisfied.

Are you mocking us?

If "us" includes you and EskimoBob? Yes. This thread is for people who think Bitcoin and DMC are worth our time, not people who think trolling is the best thing since sliced bread. You're cluttering up the thread with your bullshit, go start an anti-DMC thread if you think trolling DMC is the best use of your time.
632  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 02, 2012, 06:05:59 PM
There are no licenses or issued secrets. Each ASIC vendor is expected to come up with their own reasonable "secret alternative algorithm" and not tell anyone else (including developers) until such an emergency occurs. When/if that happens, Bitcoin would be made to accept any of these alternatives.
I'm just quoting this for posterity. Here we have Luke-Jr playing the role of Hans Buehler from the old Crypto AG drama: "Honestly, dear Iranian interrogators, our cryptograhic chips have no secret backdoor algorithms implemented!".

But in my opinion Erik Voorhees plays this role better in the Satoshi Dice thread:

You lost me.

Not pooled mining in general, just centralized pooled mining where the pool is providing you with blind work. A standard getwork request can only sustain 4 GH. With rollntime, that becomes 4 GH/s. ASICs can easily do huge speeds of TH/s, and keeping getworks going fast enough to sustain them can be very troublesome.

Except thats bullshit. Miners like DiabloMiner use 3 works concurrently per GPU. There is no reason to think you cannot do the same per ASIC.

Hm... someone seems to have bough all offered shares up to under a price of    0.1389BTC. I guess it was you diablo? I mean who should invest right now when he sees that the dividend, coming monthly, wasnt paid this month? So you got some shares back for cheap?

Wasn't me. I'm not planning on doing buyback during the three month dividend suspension, but this isn't set in stone.
636  Economy / Securities / Re: Financial report for the month of August 2012 on: September 02, 2012, 12:22:53 AM
I think you've confused two things.

I doubt that.
However I would be much less confused if you possessed the ability of compiling a proper income statement and balance sheet.

This is the line you're looking for:

Approximately 6.700 mhash per share
637  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [140.1 gh] [6.700 mh/share] on: September 02, 2012, 12:20:30 AM
Where? Im a investor at glbse and i did not get any info of such. So you say one has to search the net to find a thread somewhere to be informed that one wont get any dividends? Great.

I've repeatedly asked nefario to have GLBSE email users when a motion to vote on is available, and he hasn't added it yet. The only way to find out is to go to the motions page (linked in the nav bar at the top) to see if any are open. Its kind of shitty.

Thats something where i never look at because there wasnt anything always.

Such info should be mailed to shareholders. A mailing system is implemented. And it should be shown at the share-page of course so that potential buyers know about it. This way nefario only will lose customers i think. At least when their money is gone because they werent informed.

Thats another problem: GLBSE does not email you when you have new GLBSE mail. Nor does GLBSE let you mail a list of people, nor does GLBSE even tell me who my shareholders are.

Right now, the only way to get up to date information about DMC is to set this thread to notify and have Bitcointalk email you on thread notify, or to sit in #bitcoin-assets on Freenode.

You and I are not the only people who wish there was a better system. If Wall Street was like GLBSE, Wall Street would have collapsed under its own weight by now.
638  Economy / Securities / Re: Financial report for the month of August 2012 on: September 02, 2012, 12:16:08 AM
You like using that bullshit hashing number, so I will focus on that.
DMC is holding, according to your claims: 140,100 mhash of power
DMC has sold or traded 20909 shares, with an ipo value of 1 BTC per
Even at todays swap of 100mhash/share (a bullshit number, but you used it, so let's go with it) DMC can only account for 140 shares worth of mhash swaps against current holdings.
Where have the bitcoins gone?

I think you've confused two things. I require approximately 100 mhash in other people's assets to trade for 1 DMC now. This does not state there is 100 mhash per share.

What the fuck? You tell me now i bought shares and wasted all my money to get no dividend at all which leads to letting the shareprice go down till zero so i even lose the investment?

And i see you are holding shares so at least some dividend should be possible. I calculated that the shares you hold (only 2 are giving dividends) should have brought 16.21611122 for august. That would have been a dividend of 0.005418012BTC per share if you didnt sold shares for low in the last month. Its only small dividend but at least a dividend. Or do you only want to hide that there are more shares now to pay? Because that would mean you have sold for under 0.7BTC. Maybe even under 0.07BTC. And that would mean a simple ripoff of the the first buyers because you would devalue their initial investments. I really cant understand how one can make so many bad decisions.

Man you make me angry. Thank you very much! I thought i can at least trust you to get a dividend monthly. Even though even this was a risk. But you seems to change the rules like you wish. I dont see why you stop dividends now.

Fuck your "Happy Dividend Day!"!

The motion was public and half of eligible shares voted almost unanimously to suspend dividends. This was public and advertised.
