621  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think that MONEY is imprortant thing for life? on: May 09, 2016, 06:32:35 PM
Yes, because with money you can have everything you need in life. we our working to earn money to sustain our needs and to have a comfortable life.

Not really. You can't buy love. I mean real love. Not those ticks that get feelings for someone only because he has money. Woman that you can buy that way will not be what will make you happy. Woman that will stay with you even when you have not much money but still do what you can and there is a plan in place to make a better future... those women are the ones to keep. You can be very sure that they love you and not something you have.

Ukyo then spent a few days putting together the site for users to login and recover a % of their funds.
Ukyo did indeed make a portal that that payed back 6.175% to everyone. (http://weexclaims.weexchange.co/)

False statement is false.

Though he did pay out that amount. I know that because I received such payment from him. The rest is missing and probably unrecoverable.

He did not pay back that amount to all. I know because I received no such payment from him. All my funds are missing and probably unrecoverable.

I hear this the first time, or maybe I forgot because it was so long ago, but I tried it as soon as possible. There was some error first that did not allow me to withdraw but I constantly tried and got it out.

So it stopped working then. Unfortunate, though anyway not the biggest part of the loss for everyone.
623  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchaim deducted $100 fee for $112 transaction on: May 09, 2016, 06:25:45 PM
OP, the transaction was included in a block mined by BTCC pool. Whoever sent the transaction should contact them if he wants the money back.

That might not work depending on how it was sent. I'm not sure but the default for blockchain wallets should be that the user controls the addresses but I think there were other options to send from addresses you don't own. But even then... it's open if they pay back.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF the NSA wanted to take control over Bitcoin, how would they do it? on: May 09, 2016, 06:22:16 PM
They will need more hash power than the whole world mining today to do a 51% attack, which is probably nit gonna happen. There is no other way to block bitcoins.

No, that was what we believed at the start. But it proved to be a valid attack vector to attack bitcoin through it's client. Regardless of what the protocol will look like that will change the ways bitcoin goes. You could attack bitcoin through core devs or through alternative forking clients. It's best to do it both.

Yes, bitcoiners could chose, but be honest... most bitcoiners will use what is presented. Only a core of them will chose with some checking before.

I agree. Still I would like to know, if core team has already discussed this infiltration topic. If not ... then why not?

I'm not sure. The dev team was quite hidden for a long time. No real contact with the community. In my eyes that only changed after they wanted to bring out segwit and ln and found that they face a real big opposition. Then they started to argument and speak with the community alot more.

Though if you think about it... it does not need to be the NSA to harm the protocol, it can be the real world job of the developers or something similar that would not be allowed if they were politicians. It's not hard to find things that can be questioned.
625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 06:19:06 PM
Of course we should secure our important details and using the same password with your different accounts is the laziest thing to do without considering the risk. You can list it in a paper keep it safe inside your house and always do back up either hard or softcopy.

I don't share the idea that paper copies are the best. I think it is even riskier than digital data. Such paper can be found, there is no lock around it that is as strong as a password. So having the keys safe in multiple areas is the best thing to do in my eyes.

Yeah lucid dreaming is hard - I've only kept it lucid a few times; usually reach the point to where I realize I can control it then get excited and wake up.  There are a few guides online, but you should definitely read a few to figure out what method (or a mixture) would feel right for you Smiley

Sounds like it is pretty hard to establish and hold when even you, who tried to perfect this for some time, were not able to reliably bring it out...
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright relents aka Satoshi (air quotes) in Public Apology! on: May 09, 2016, 06:15:16 PM
When satoshi really would decide to give up anonymity then only for a very good reason. But this guy here probably did not think about such things. He only came out claiming to be satoshi or to claim that he knew him. Satoshi only would do this if he would have something important to say. And even then, he would not reveal his reallife identity. Only proof that he is who he is and claim what he wants.

If his friend really died and he was the immensely rich satoshi then his dead circumstances should be reasked again.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright just nuked Gavins and Matonis credibility in just 2 days - wow! on: May 08, 2016, 11:13:21 PM
Why would they be so quick to validate him when the potential for backfire was right there for everyone to see?
Are we that hard up to get the creator out so we can move into a new stage of creating a global platforum!

There had to be more to this and some one misfired or got chicken at the last minute. Very odd and I think it damaged bitcoin a little in the public eye.

Maybe craig wright was a friend of gavin so that he trusted him to not scam him?

Anyway, gavin failed big time.
629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: May 08, 2016, 10:37:44 PM
Recalls in 2014. But for now, it's too far away to be at such a price, too big, unless there is a high pumping may even pass these figures may be done.
If we had an exchange as MtGox then the chances of seeing +$1000 would be significantly higher.

Without cheating with fake buy orders it may take at least 1 to 2 years before we see these prices.

I think it might happen pretty fast with the right news where people think bitcoin will be the solution for their problem. Happened already.
For the price to get back to over $1000, we'd need a lot of whales starting to buy, along with news documenting the value rise of Bitcoin to attract new investors. THEN, we'd have to make sure the exchanges don't collapse like Mt. Gox and start the cycle all over again. THEN, we need people to keep buying to keep the value up and prevent the coins from 2013 crashing the price.

I think the whales are not needed. What is the best for a rising price is adoption. Normal people thinking that bitcoin is the best investment or a help to secure their funds. It happened already. And I think it will again.

Unfortunately, the blocksize limit and the following problems are in the way of adoption now.
630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2016, 10:31:25 PM
My biggest mistake was to keep password same everywhere. That resulted me a loss of 0.5 BTC. The second mistake why I didn't recognized its potential earlier.

I hope you do backups of all important data, maybe even the whole harddisc, regularly. Because not doing this is the next big error that happens after having the same password everywhere.

Best ways are keepass for different pass, with storing the keyfile in the cloud, you can even use it on your phone that way. And truecrypt for backups.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: May 08, 2016, 10:19:36 PM
Even if 1% of the world population uses bitcoin, or 70 million people in the world, the bitcoin price will be hundreds times higher.

The bitcoin price would be specifiially less volatile which would improve trust in bitcoin as a currency that holds value...

633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you call someone with 1000BTC? on: May 08, 2016, 10:12:03 PM
I also suggest a man with BTC1000 as a Bitcoiner. Well, he was able to earn plenty of BTC and I think the name sounds great. This is for the people who owns cloud mining services who receives a thousands if bitcoin evryday.
Cloud mining service? i think they cant earn 1000btc, i think big casino's online can earn this 1000 btc or maybe a business with miners like on china they have many hardware miner and i think they earn a lots of bitcoins. not only 10000 btc...

Most cloud mining services are run by hardware producers so it's a cheap and fast way to sell those miners. Less work and so cheaper sales price for them then.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BLOCKS ARE FULL!!!! on: May 08, 2016, 09:47:58 PM
Never fear guise. There are solutions working today to handle the tx's that won't fit in 1MB blocks... this keeps our rasb pi full economic nodes on dialup safe n sound.

What are the solutions besides not handling them and pushing them to the next block?

On dialup?  Shocked I didn't think such internet connection still is in use. Cheesy
635  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sleeping Paralysis Disorder ,I suffer from it everyday ,Do you ? on: May 08, 2016, 09:42:02 PM
Even if you suffer from paralysis, try to keep a dream journal updated every morning Smiley

A notepad, book, paper, etc. by your bed  - upon waking, write down everything you remember.

Over time, you'll notice your dreams become more and more vivid...this can help with nightmares, lucid dreaming, so possibly it could help you as well, even though sleep paralysis occurs at a different 'layer' of sleep.  Now I'm curious to see if it'd affect this condition  Shocked

I have dream journals documented online from years ago.....some of them could be hollywood blockbusters, they're so detailed and I still have 'flashbacks' as if they were real memories from..this plane  Wink

Journaling has caused me to prefer spending time in dreamland rather than reality...it's really hard to describe how much of an impact they've had.

I can share some crazy dreams if anyone is curious, but I don't want to derail the thread.  Maybe a new one?

Everytime I realize it is a dream is when the dream feels being boring to me. When I realize then I start to fly. And when I do this it normally ends with awakening because flying somehow eats energy. It's like having to push you away from earth. When I prevent that then I forward dreaming though I get unconscious fast.

An idea how to keep it?
636  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sleeping Paralysis Disorder ,I suffer from it everyday ,Do you ? on: May 08, 2016, 08:14:34 PM
To OP, did you read books and websites about it? Is there no solution to help yourself there?

Hey Sebastian,Yes I have read a lot of online stuff both myths and medical, seems like there is no cure for it.People say it may be due to bad sleeping habits which is quite true in my case.

Thanks for all the inputs everyone,I almost forget I had this thread here.

Yeah, the myths are the most funny part. I believe cats eating the breath of the victim. Incubus, or in your case succubus were named too occassionally. And some thought they get stolen by aliens. Cheesy

I guess the mind is still in some sleeping phase then so that reality is not really the reality we see on day.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BLOCKS ARE FULL!!!! on: May 08, 2016, 08:12:01 PM
-snip-
There's nothing that helps you build a case. The fees are low enough. Tell me what you want exactly? 1 cent transactions, a fraction of a cent? Free transactions?

Well in this case I simply wrote it differently. My 50% were what the 1mb transaction amount would be in the ideal case. Let's hope segwit will be as powerful but you know it needs adoption and more to be able to do that. I'm not sure what stage of segwit development this referred to and if future changes were calculated in already.
Tl;dr: You were wrong again.

What we need is a working bitcoin whose needed fees will not grow constantly. And a bitcoin where transactions don't stuck because of too low fee. Of course it could be implemented in all wallets though you know quite well that it will lead to a fee fight at the end. And yes that means we need a higher tx capacity.
Which is not achievable with any kind of block size. Regardless of how much decentralization you want to sacrifice, and regardless of how ridiculously high you set the block size limit it will never be enough.

Sure, you can move along in ln what you want. Though only IF you need it it would make sense. I don't see a usecase for the normal user. You might see it, that's fine for me. Tell me where the normal users would need it. Normal use cases.
LN benefits:
  • Trustless
  • Cheap
  • Near-instant transactions
You will be able to use the LN the same way that you are using Bitcoin now (the TX's are just faster), assuming that there is adoption.

Oh wait... I asked that question to users that actually were interested to educate me. This is not yet implemented in some form. In fact I wrote about such thing as one of the risks for bitcoin. LN building banks. I mean why would you think it will be an advantage to not use bitcoin as a network anymore but use an exchange instead. Well, I could use a credit card then too. I'm sure that scenario is the dream of every regulator.
Stop. Erase everything that you've ever read about LN from your brain and start from scratch. Who was talking about "exchanges" as money transmitters? It was an example, "exchange" as in entity. Secondary example: "Newbie" has payment channel to "Newbie2". Noob wants to pay for his Coffee at the Coffee Shop. "Newbie2" has a payment channel with the Coffee Shop. So: Newbie -> Newbie2 -> Coffee shop. The "LN building banks is a risk for Bitcoin" is also pure bullshit.

It's interesting how the fundamentals of bitcoin are tried to be eroded.
Bullshit.

I don't say that I want 0.00001 bitcoin fees again. I only said that we now are forced to pay more when we want to hope to get included in a reasonable time. And this get's worth constantly. You can't negate that trend.

Of course one can set a reasonable blocksize, nobody said we need to set it very high. Besides that... it would only be harmfull when the new limit is full instantly too. Otherwise the block size in practice would grow slowly.

Besides that it would be interesting how much data would be needed to save the details of LN. Bandwith and harddisc. The data needed for using it and the nodes it will use. I wonder if any or how much bandwith and harddisc can be saved with it. At the end individual transaction would not be needed to be known to everyone I guess.

It's new to me, the usage you describe is in some form similar to ripple. And no I don't say it's the same. It sounds more interesting then. If this is the plan that it might be good to take a look at the problems ripple had. I think some problem was receiving coins that were stolen. The new owner was innocent but he already lost the equivalent value.

Anyway... let's see how LN turns out. Only practice will show.

It's fine dude, just grab some drinks. Make u drunk and u will sleep tight Cheesy

LOL

Sure, let's become an alcoholic. Roll Eyes

I thought naming alcohol a medicine is gone already.

To OP, did you read books and websites about it? Is there no solution to help yourself there?
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BLOCKS ARE FULL!!!! on: May 08, 2016, 07:40:50 PM
What do you want to proof with this graph? It only shows the total amount of fees. Which does not make much sense to compare with times where the blocks were not full nor mit times where the bitcoin price was very different. Besides that... there is clearly a rising from 2015.
I'm now starting to seriously question your comprehension skills (no ad hominem). Did you even take a look at the Graph? It clearly states total fees IN BITCOIN. The price in fiat should be irrelevant. Your argumentation is also wrong: If the blocks are only full now, the fees should be higher now on average than they were back then which they aren't (or you're trying to say that the blocks were 'more full on average' back in 2013). In either way, your argument has no merit.

I already know that you miss a good bunch of comprehension styles. Otherwise you would have been able to understand that I wrote that this only shows the total fees paid regardless of how many kb the block contained.

And yes, the fees are in bitcoin. And the bitcoin price has a connection regarding how much people would want to freely give away as a fee. For example fees were given freely by many when they thought they are rich in 2013. Your comparision simply contains too many variables to judge from that what transactions can go through. Since you know very well that at those times you could send with a minimum fee. It does not matter if some rich person wanted to donate to miners. What matters is what fee is needed. And now we need higher fees. And this requisit is rising.

I already know you will try to negate it and I hope it's not again from missing comprehension of what I wrote. Maybe read it twice.

Ah, so when you post something you can't proof with a link then it is fine, though not when I do the same. I know already you life with double standards alot. So I won't spend time on climbing up your wall of anger and naming. Roll Eyes
There are no double standards in this case. Unlike me, you tend to post partially-true, partially-misunderstood information which ends up a total mess. Additionally, you do not read what is posted (or you don't understand it). I've posted this several times in threads where you were also present! I've had to waste time again searching for it:

So my memory served me well ("~190-200%").

Let's hope segwit will be as powerful but you know it needs adoption and more to be able to do that.

I'm not sure what stage of segwit development this referred to and if future changes were calculated in already.

You can't force people to adopt something they don't have a usecase for. That's nonsense argumentation.
You're practically saying 'we don't have a use-case for more TX capacity' (whether it is Segwit, or a block size limit increase doesn't matter in the argument). If you do not adopt Segwit, you are basically making a statement that you don't need the extra TX capacity (same could be said for a block size limit; if that was the way that Bitcoin was going forward right now). Period.

What we need is a working bitcoin whose needed fees will not grow constantly. And a bitcoin where transactions don't stuck because of too low fee. Of course it could be implemented in all wallets though you know quite well that it will lead to a fee fight at the end. And yes that means we need a higher tx capacity.

You know how payment channels are established? Then as long as you can't tell me that there will be the possibility to send to more than one received through such a payment channel then my point is valid.
Your point is not valid. The establishment of payment channels is irrelevant. Scenario: "Noob" opens up payment channel with Exchange. "Noob" wants to pay for Coffee. The exchange and Coffee shop have an open channel. "Noob" -> Exchange -> Coffe Shop. This is one of the options (keep in mind that exact details are not determined yet IIRC).

Oh wait... I asked that question to users that actually were interested to educate me. This is not yet implemented in some form. In fact I wrote about such thing as one of the risks for bitcoin. I wonder if this state is still recovering your body and soul. Otherwise I would have tried to use the waked mind to think over things that I would have to think over on the day anyway.

If I would not like it then I would meditate.

I think this bug thing is something coming from your dream. It can happen that feelings from dream are taken over into the first minutes of a normal awakening too. So I would not care about some bug. Maybe misfeeling, or misinterpretation of a slept in body part? Did you lie strangely on it?
