621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 14, 2023, 09:11:25 PM
~snip~

So am curious to know if everyone is still holding or have chicken out and sold theirs.
Note ::get your coins off any exhange platforms if you are still on the hodl game
^If you are an early investor, probably you are still holding it right now because it is not ideal of harvesting your profit but each of us has a different reason why spending our BTC away, just like mine, I did not invest because I earned this true freelancing, so I spend but I also have spare that wanted to save for a long term holding. However, you are definitely right, never save or store your BTC in any custodial exchange or wallet, because they are not capable to trust our coins. The same as what happened in coldkey storage wallet, it scammed many users here in the forum in the collectible section. We should be vigilant always as much as possible.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How wrongful can this go? on: January 14, 2023, 09:00:36 PM
I don't like giving out my private information for any project or platforms online and I have no choice but to provide wrong personal details in order to maintain anonymity, how bad can this get if anything happens to the website system?

Is this a wrongful approach to online casinos that requires KYC? Or any of you have a better solution? There must be someone like me on here that have their ways around this. Share ideas if you can.
^That is not a good idea that you used the wrong personal documents for anonymity, it seems you are risking your money every time you will make a deposit. We have plenty of gambling casinos here that you can choose and probably all of them require to have a KYC but not all want to have to reveal your real identity, they will ask for your username, email address, or mobile number but not directly ask your real identity which is asking valid IDs.
We need sometimes to understand that the KYC procedure now is a part of being legitimacy of the gambling casino, which is what they must need to required.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction touched forum users in a very sad way... on: January 14, 2023, 08:53:49 PM
For the ones who do not follow Collectibles forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434506.0):
Cold Key owner retrieved private keys of all the sold 'cold wallets' he produced and as he was in need because of gambling he stole all the funds.

Which (apart of obvious sad event for card buyers/owners) is a very problematic for the whole "collectibles" market, any coin/card producer now will be asked twice "how may I trust you?".
^It takes time for me to read all comments and posts on that thread which seems cold storage like this should not be trusted. So possible, those other paper wallets in collectible sections should not be trusted, I am right? So we are here, another person who has been addicted to gambling and stole a lot of money just because of gambling which he let ruin his reputation here in the forum because of gambling. From the start, yogg probably knows this, he fucked up his account's reputation altogether his business here in the forum. The reason here is we have to control ourselves in gambling not to become addicted because when are there, it is very easy to make crimes.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Times when I visit casinos Versus When I don't on: January 14, 2023, 08:34:56 PM
When I'm at the right mood and we've I've got spare time and money.
~snip~
^These 3 options are the same as mine.
When I am in the right mood and have free time and of course spare money to spend. Because sometimes even if you are happy you did not want to gamble or vice versa with the unhappy, it always matters how much has been left fund is available in your pocket. The thing that always remembers is never to gamble money that you cannot afford. However, sometimes promotions and bonuses will push us to gamble even though we lack funds, I tried this before and I regret it when I gambled because it has a negative result, chasing money is not good in gambling, but it is proven and tested.
OP was definitely right, those 3 reasons are the best common reason why we visit gambling at most of the time.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now? on: January 13, 2023, 10:28:39 PM
I would go back in time to mine bitcoin on its first year. That way, I would be able to amass a high number of coins and would lock tehm on a wallet back in time to access it in the future.  Moreover, I would contribute like one of the early adopters and become known throughout history.

You do not need to go back to the past, instead, you can try to think of the future.  Just like what @OP is trying to say, we can assume that the current year is the past year and the future of 12 years from now is the present.  This mean, we do not need to have a time machine but instead, we can just start accumulating Bitcoin at the current price and wait until 3 halvings had passed and see for ourselves that we had made the right decision of accumulating Bitcoin 12 years ago(present year).
^ I would still love to go back fast if there is a chance, to be a part of the history probably. Being a Hal Fenny? a Pizza man? What else?
And ACCUMULATE since back then it is very cheap, I can probably hold 100 BTC or thousand of it as I want. But now, yes you can still accumulate but it needs also a big amount before you have a whole number of BTC, it is totally different.
However, we don't have that machine, so let us accept the fact that we are here now, all we have to do is just accumulate even though a small fraction so that we a gain rewards in the future.
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [P2P]Is there anyone who knows good bank for P2P trading ? on: January 13, 2023, 10:12:01 PM
If the Bank at your country are this much concerned about the amount of money transaction than one thing is sure that your country is not crypto friendly. For you it will be best to ask the same question in a local board of your region. By the way in P2P the funds in the end land into your bank account.
The best solution here is to ask their local community if P2P works perfectly since it will be a bank to bank transaction and not crypto to bank. In my country some banks are friendly and some are not so better to double check this one before making any transaction to avoid any inconvenience. P2P seems to be one of the best way to buy and sell crypto, just understand the process and you’ll be fine.
^ How about the local e-wallet before sending your money to the bank?
I have done this before when I really don't know if my bank supported that P2P platform but instead I choose my e-wallet which is fully KYC and my e-wallet supported by the bank. I did not directly send my fund to the bank, it is a P2P exchange > e-wallet > bank transfer.
However, I read that Binance has a p2p trading which is I think very simple to use connected to your local bank account but make sure you have aware of your bank terms. Otherwise, P2 decentralized platforms are the best for you, Hodl-hodl.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 13, 2023, 10:05:05 PM
Let’s not jump into conclusions that the market is recovering, I still think it has a lot of time to go before it can be said that the market is recovering, I noticed some coins like Solana has See good times recently but it’s still not a guarantee that the market has taken off.

I am not too worried about the market because I am holding mainly bitcoin and even if it’s just at $18,000 it has a better odds of rising than many altcoins.
Probably a bull trap or a real one, too early to celebrate but this is still a good sign.
The market shows a good pump in the past few days, many are shock to see Bitcoin hitting the $19k mark again, if there’s still a good momentum we might see that trend to continues, altcoins should also follow the trend. Let’s be more positive this time and be more bullish, its about time to recover.
^ Let us hope it is because as of now, no one really knows which trend we are, it is simply because after a market crash, of course, there is market resistance and here we are now. But you are definitely right, it is too early to celebrate it could be a trap or it could be a start of a bull market, one thing that could the best thing we do, just keeps holding or never sell under the price. Once BTC will go up, altcoins will follow the trend this has been proven so many years and those who have already experienced will not panic. I think the market was been getting over the FUD.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can players bet on their own games on: January 13, 2023, 09:07:00 PM
Pretty common practice by small teams in third world countries, unfortunately. There are many different ways to manipulate match results while only experts can explore such rigged games if they need to do so since even experts can be part of the whole corruption. Organizations that have to audit these type of jobs can not be trusted, the turnover is insane and I have doubts it is transparent auditing, IMHO.
^Of course, it should be through the under-table process, no one probably discloses what they are wrongdoing since this is not allowed to them.
There was always corruption and all of that was made by the organizers, I don't know how to perform a transparent audit but still, they can bypass those processes. But I don't know if you are one of their staff will doing this, once you will be caught there will be a charge.
However, I found interesting articles which are fixed matches is a serious offense.

629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It good For The Casinos And The Accusers If .. on: January 13, 2023, 08:51:06 PM
Is It Good For The Casinos And The Accusers If the casino operators decided to post a disclaimer that they will not answer accusations here in Bitcointalk but prefer to address them on other platforms that they think are fair and moderated like Askgambler and other platforms?
What's your take on this I don't want to be specific but the question applies to all casino operators.
All these issues of it been good or not been good could be resolved should the entities incharge of the forum make an understanding with any casino's using the forum to first tackle any issues of accusation here in the forum then if it's beyond what the forum can handle alone then it could be referred to askglambers for further scrutiny of the issue on ground. But since such a thing is not made in the forum how then can we say if it's "good or not good".

If the casino creates a thread here, it's best if the casino resolves its case in this forum and not using any other platform. In addition, the person having the problem may not have an account on another platform, which will prevent the case from being resolved properly. It seems unfair that people asking for help from this forum have to go to another platform. So if the casino can resolve the case in this forum, it can increase the members' confidence to return to using the casino to play gambling.
^If a gambling casino has an announcement thread here, why not they did not answer the disclaimer post to solve the problem?
A legitimate casino will answer on any platform as long as they have a business on that platform for example here in the forum, to the case, they should give their opinion and answer accusations to clear out the mind of other players. Though this forum and the Askgambler forum are totally different we have each community that also visits here, a gambler or a reader that must aware of the casino's behavior.

All happened in 3 minutes let me kbow what you think on my skills

https://www.loom.com/share/d6226bd250cf4c59b2dc126130929f05

edit : the video is working now
^Congratulations dude but unfortunately, I disagree when you said that is your skill which it does not.
It could a coincidence or made just by luck, dice game is purely based on luck which is there is no strategy that works on that if you are based on skill.
However, the martingale strategy on dice would effective but that is a high risk, high odds which means high risk and if you are willing to do this, there is a chance that could be you will gain profit. Just try to repeat the process, I don't know if that will happen again but for sure the chances will be lessened.

^ If where they promoted their casino, then it must be posted on that community, all of these gambling forums are good the askgambler and here in bitcointalk, to resolve the problem, does not matter where is the better place to resolve the issue but course, when it comes to us, only bitcointalk is better upon resolving an issue. The moderated platform is sometimes suspicious of acting biased opinion, unlike our forum was not a moderate scam, it is on the users on it. I think it is better here because we have a lot of police members who will quickly investigate and have a transparent discussion between the accuser and the disclaimer.
632  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best affiliate program via Most trusted online sports betting and casino website on: January 12, 2023, 09:53:49 PM
~snip~
In addition, domain is a new, because  to distinguish it from our previous website (Bitfair only focus on Crypto). Sorry say it is “the most trusted ” . But after years of experience, we provide good experience to customers
^ After this post they never come back to clarify this issue, they claimed that they operated since 2012 but if you will check on this website, https://who.is/whois/bitfair2012.com, they are pretty new. Where is the previous website that OP talking about? or we are all trying to fool OP to believe that they are on that long service which is not true? Sometimes companies will fool us with their marketing strategy to lure people, but in fact, that is not true as what they have said. How can we trust this casino if even OP left us here hanging with different legitimate questions about their gambling casino?
633  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Real Cryptocurrency Casinos on: January 12, 2023, 09:41:13 PM
You are already here in the community for a long time and of course, most of them are promoting their mode of payment which is bitcoin and also another feature supported by a lot of more coins for being convenient to the players, I don't get it why you still seeking for the casino using a bitcoin because here most of them are using the bitcoin as mode of payment for transactions of deposit and withdrawals, it depends now on your preferences to choose with, you are wearing a signature of one of the top casino here that's run for a long time.
^Definitely right, OP was here in the forum for how many years and I think Op knows very well what are casinos that only accept BTC.
Try to ask Devans, the owner of two gambling casinos that only accept BTC and until now only BTC was accepted though other gambling casinos accepted altcoins as a wide variation when it comes to the selection of the coins to deposit.
@OP, try to read this casino's TOS.

634  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 12, 2023, 09:08:16 PM
I have thought that if the OP wants to sell the site or the development for 0.01BTC it is an amount that is not very expensive, but how can someone buy a code like that? how to know if it is safe? like knowing if it meets the standards of the games and if there are some vulnerabilities, the programmer is the only one who can know how to fix it, sometimes these things can be called the limitations of a code, and if other programmers are hired it will not be the same, because programmers have to learn from code already made, and I believe that the most optimal way is to try to do everything again and the expense can be double or more.

^That is why those who wanted to have their own casino prefer to start from scratch or hire a developer from the start until it will operate smoothly because they understand very well the coding of the casino. It should be one developer upon creation until it operates and becomes a successful gambling casino. They maintain 1 developer for their casino.
I have seen many threads here that wanted to sell their gambling casino website but I don't think they have succeeded in that plan, because a lot of people believe that buying with the existing gambling casino could be prone to scam.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 10, 2023, 10:45:29 PM
It would be interesting only in the sense that AI and more specifically ChatGPT what it does is that it collects information based on what you ask and shows you a big text as an answer to what you have asked. This can be important and a really good feature to use for us sport bettors that don't have time to check all the predictions websites ourselves and ChatGPT can come in handy as it can show us information collected from all these sites so we can immediately have an overview of what other people think for the event we are about to bet on.
^Probably I will give it a try, there is nothing wrong with that. If the AI will give a result the same as my prediction, probably I will follow AI. It needs time to prove if the AI gives consistency in results. But if proven that AI is not reliable in prediction, I will definitely rather use my own predictions rather than rely on the AI's hand. To be honest, I did not use AI or any bots to predict betting, I always have my own research before putting my fund into a betting place and make sure I have a background on the players. So it depends on the result if I am satisfied with it.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 10, 2023, 10:34:21 PM
I'd sue the casino for telling me that. They should just give her winnings as they've acknowledged her win during that particular moment. But then again, maybe that casino doesn't have much money left which I doubt so they're declining her winnings.
It's certainly stupid to say that she did win nothing and just had given a steak as a consolation. I'd even decline anything they offer except the actual amount or near to that amount less taxes.
^Can we complain to the authority about a story like this? What agency will help us to solve this issue?
In my own opinion, on that day if they will not give me my prize, I will sue them or find a way to investigate or look to the local police to settle my winnings. That is the responsibility of the casino to pay its gambler's winning even if it's proven that the machine malfunctioned, in the first place they should conduct a daily check-up of their machine before opening their casino. SO they are oblique to pay any gamblers who will win.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 09:59:27 PM
As far as I know people living in sports betting aren't exactly profiting from their bets, but from sponsors, youtube channels, donators and passive income investments which proportionate them to maintain their gambling routine. Unless you know someone personally who live from bets, you have to be skeptical about it, because the easiest thing on the internet for popular social influencers is to exhibit an artificial life which doesn't correspond to the reality behind the curtains of the spectacle. Sadly, many people believe anyone they see on the internet, since they look wealthy and charismatic.

That's correct. You can't rely on your wins, that's not a way to make a living. A gambler can be at a loss for a month or two and if that's his only way of making money he's going to starve. What if you have a family? Are you going to tell your wife that this month you won't be driving anywhere because you're out of money for gas?
Gamblers who live out of gambling are either affiliated with casinos, or own casinos themselves.
^Definitely right and I agree, there should be a stable source of income.
As I can see, there is nothing wrong if you are betting to gain profit and who knows you are very expert on this job by doing technical skills that can predict who will be the winner after the match. I gamble also in sports betting but I never overthink about the money, I will accept if I am a loss and come back another day and never chase my losses. The same for others, never think of this as a way of living, it will make your life ruin, promise.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts about Polkadot? on: January 07, 2023, 09:58:49 PM
Guys, what are your thoughts about investing in Polkadot(Dot) right now? Is this time a good entry for buying Polkadot or should I wait for more? I'm not considering holding a long time for a bigger profit. Just looking for a short-term hold.

Any ideas?
^Just give it a try, probably 25-35% of your portfolio is on Polkadot.
I have heard a lot from others that this project is good with a real utility project which I think an ideal for investment in the long term.
But I will not put all my eggs there, the allocation that I mentioned above was probably enough to invest in Polkadot, however, just do some research first and don't rely on asking here. As per what I see, Polkadot is good so far.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you change your name to bitcoin for 2000BTC? on: January 07, 2023, 09:51:43 PM
^That was possible back then if Laszlo spend his 10K BTC for a piece of pizza it was also possible for a man to change their name by offering 2k BTC which I think BTC at that is very cheap, I would instead invest and hold. 12 years ago nobody yet has knowledge of how to spend BTC and I believe only satoshi worked on BTC. If you ask about that amount compared to today, probably people will say no but back then 12 years ago, people probably thought that the BTC price will not reach this at the same time. I will probably do the same as others like Laszlo and this man, it is awareness to other people that now BTC becomes successful.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: January 07, 2023, 09:37:30 PM
The reason why you thinking like this is because trading strategies are not 100% correct strategies at all. The reason why self-proclaimed gurus are going to promote them is to gain their own popularity and spread their own shitcoins. No strategy will ever be a full proof one.

The only thing that is going to help is buying low and selling high. Rest all indicators are going to only give a prediction and that too will end up 50% correct.

Eventually what I have learnt is that day trading is tough, but in long term trading, just stick to what I said, you will gradually gain profits.
Precisely, there can be no perfect strategies that will make you profitable at all times. They may be completely working at its early days but eventually, some turned out to be not working anymore that’s why strategies need to be improve and become advanced. But I don’t see them becoming obsolete and end up useless in time, of course they can still be useful but you need to know where they can be mostly helpful.
^Definitely right.
It should be 2-3 attempts that will become a failure and I think you need to proceed with other strategies and never stick to one strategy.
If this will not work for you, don't push yourself to use the same strategy because we have plenty of strategies that probably we use. However, this is only a tool in trading but strategies are only tools that we can use in trading. We cannot fully rely in our strategy, sometimes we need to hear news and events that could technically move the price. But at least this strategy will help you to increase your chances in predicting the price.
