621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 16, 2024, 11:24:24 AM
Less than 24 hours and we're going to see Lakers and Pelicans. I'm stuck thinking on which team should I go but my heart is with the Lakers.  Cheesy

Lakers at 8th, not a bad position to be in, they could beat Pelicans and even finish at 7th as well, going from 9th to there within two games is definitely a big achievement without a doubt. I understand that people may look at it differently, but I do believe that's actually an advantage for Lakers.
It actually is an advantage because whoever loses on 7/8 still have the chance for the loser bracket to play for the 8th seed.
622  Other / Off-topic / Re: What meaning do you find in scammer and spammer…..? on: April 16, 2024, 09:44:13 AM
The only similarity between spammers and scammers is that both are used in negative context, meaning that they're not beneficial to their recipients, other than that they're both very different in meanings
Scammers are no doubt is bringing negative context to everyone because they all have intention to fool and trick people.

As for spammers, in the context of it, that's subjective. Some may say that someone is a spammer because of how he's passionate with what he shares and others don't find it interesting but instead they find that guy a spammer.

But all of us have that description and thoughts about spammer, right now, there's another context about the spammers and that's with the bitcoin blockchain that we all hate as they increase the fees.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: April 15, 2024, 11:42:19 PM
Casinos tend to win more than individual gamblers overall, as they have a built-in advantage known as the "house edge" in most games. This ensures that, on average, the casino profits over time, even though individual gamblers may experience wins in the short term.
And no matter what happens, casinos will always win because they're a business. This is a establishment that needs to earn money from their customers.

As the customers, the gamblers. They also have the means to win sometime but it's not possible that they'd win the same as the casino at most times.

It's easy to understand how the business of casino works and what a gambler's stand on this one.
624  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mindset or skill set? on: April 15, 2024, 11:05:37 PM
Having both is the best.

Having a good mindset is talent while being skilled can be learned by someone through training. So, combining the both of them is actually a gift that you'll be able to overcome things.

You're going to think of positivity and you're always having that thought outside the box and executing things through your skillset will make things easier.

Quote from: Apocollapse
First, when you receive your monthly salary, only use 1%-10% or any amount you can afford to lose for gambling.
only use what you can afford to lose in gambling, so that when you lose you will not feel bad at the moment that something big has left your account like the way some people use to feel bad when they lose money.
Don't use up to 10% because for me that's quite high already. 1%-5% is fine but when you go more than that then that's sort of alarming honestly.

But if you can take the loss with that amount that you're going to do with your salary then there's no problem at all and all you have to do is be good at managing not just your budget but also your emotion.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 15, 2024, 04:18:52 PM
There is no other point of view about online gambling for me. It is as-is, whatever is the word is then that's it. As gambling, there's the entertaining part of it but also the addictive side which is when you're able to win some money, you'll never stop.

It's like a drug that you always want to be a winner because of the money that you may want to win.

No need to expand any of the meaning there and it's just either of the two, you have fun because you enjoy or you are gambling because of the money.
627  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ways to Increase the likelihood of having twins on: April 15, 2024, 02:16:51 PM
I believe that it is hereditary but if there's a way for a couple to boost their cells or eggs to have that chance of getting a twin then I don't know about science since I didn't studied that.

Much better for those that have read this and wanting to try then it's always best to the medical professionals or doctors that are majoring into this kind of studies and cases.
Like yours I believe this is hereditary because if this can be treated to become successful
then rich family can have their own set of twins but it is not that easy to turn into reality..
My grandma has her twin sister but none of us till my generation that has a twin coming from birth.
I think that they can have some modification through genes through science but it comes with a hefty cost.

But mainly, this is like a gift from nature and it is hereditary. I haven't looked yet with the studies that have successfully modified it with couples that have no history and background of having twins in their family.
628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crafting a safer strategy for growing your crypto portfolio: on: April 15, 2024, 11:10:10 AM
Have you explored such opportunities before? Feel free to share your experiences.
Not really.

But based on my own observation, it's more profitable to just HODL it and wait for better prices to come. Being active trader is a good one when you want to increase the size of your portfolio.

I am not saying that I've got a huge size of Bitcoin that I am holding but I am very much satisfy and I want to add more. As a passive holder, you'd see that there's greater gains with holding rather than being active trying to beat the market and other traders.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's up ? on: April 15, 2024, 09:55:12 AM
What is up with Bitcoin transaction fee since two days ago now?
Before we've got the ordinals/brc20, I think it's about the runes.

--> https://decrypt.co/221962/bitcoin-runes-launch-at-the-halving-heres-everything-you-need-to-know

Or this has something to do with the massive sell off? Can massive sell off be thr reason behind the transaction fee spike?
I think the higher than price of Bitcoin, it can be the time where the fees can become more expensive but not yet this time.

630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Diving into the future of gaming on: April 15, 2024, 08:43:02 AM
Excited to share my thoughts on Futurum Gaming! It’s been an engaging experience so far. The community vibe is strong, and the game mechanics are innovative. Looking forward to diving deeper into this evolving world. Would love to hear others’ experiences and tips too!
So what your thoughts are?

What did you dived for and what's the kind of deep that you've got for us for having that project? Because it seems that you truly are optimistic with this project and you talk a lot about it.

Or in fact, you're part of it and working to this brand?
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran strikes Israel. Crypto crashing heavily... on: April 15, 2024, 12:04:50 AM
Maybe we all calm down and Saturday was the worst of it.
Bitcoin says that it's calmed down gives some up right now. $65,500 as of typing this but it's still far from what everyone is looking at before these incidents came.

I totally didn't see the Iran vs Israel war coming and wasn't expecting it to have a heavy influence on the crypto markets but it did.
I think that it's just a coincidence but things like this can be said to be relevant and has their own impacts to the market as it goes with the crypto world.

But what I have noticed is that it's on timing that the media points out that there's an influence from this war and the market timingly went to crash.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 14, 2024, 10:56:47 PM
I would have wanted to see a Lakers vs Warriors do or die game but it's not happening yet.
Yeah, not yet but this is possible and that's if Warriors win against Kings and then Lakers lose against Pelicans.

How I see the play-in turn out is that the Pelicans will get their revenge soon after Ingram's "warm up" game and move to face the Nuggets. The Warriors will eliminate the Kings and then face the Lakers for the final playoff spot.
We'll get to see that.

Every team that's in the play in are hungry to win and want to move forward but Lakers is what's the favorite crowd to be seen there.
633  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 14, 2024, 09:51:18 PM
I agree, that's how crypto gambling should be. But with the standards of the majority increasing thinking that having a license is safety, we can't blame everyone for that because whoever set that standard, they're successful in changing the minds of everybody.

As for those casinos that have been known and still operating without having a license and able to build their reputation, they're the examples of crypto gambling.

But I guess every casino is an enterprise that governments have to determine their path as legal through requiring them a license.
I can actually bet that, there are no casinos that are well known, well trusted due to their high level of reputation, that doesn't have a license, almost every online casinos today require some level of kyc from their customers, requiring that users of a casino platform pass kyc verification sometimes is an evidence that such casino is operating under a license.
Actually, the few has been mentioned, justdice, freebitco and bustadice.

In this modern age, the only way a casino can exists and operate without a license is if the casino is still very new to the gambling industry, for as soon as that casino is getting popular, thereby their user base increasing, the government will surely come after such casino if they fail to obtain an operational license.
Yeah, that's like how the business model of most that are just starting out. If they happen to get the success that they want for their start, they should get it.

And I've also discovered that most gamblers try as much as possible to stay away from unlicensed casinos, because most believe that they are likely operated scammers who may take down the casino and vanish with customers funds at any time without any form of notice.
It's because of the sense of safety that everyone think about having a license but it's not all about that at all when we dig deeper.

The only casino I personally believe requires no license to operate are decentralized casino.
Hmm, sort of but I can compare them with dexes that needs to be regulated too.

635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin vs centralized Coins like Ripple on: April 14, 2024, 07:42:53 PM
IMO, people should move on with the Ripple and SEC case since it's done already. The Ripple company is now on its move in making their stable coin and I have no idea if it's related to the possible US CBDC or not.

--> https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/04/crypto-firm-ripple-to-launch-us-dollar-stablecoin.html

Anyway, why is it this thread posted on the Beginners and help when it's mostly related to Altcoin Discussions?
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is gambling to you, a fanfare or potential financial havoc? on: April 14, 2024, 10:50:52 AM
Would education on gambling side effect help some people nor to get too engaged in it despite the thrilling experience it can offer?
It depends on the gambler.

Even if you educate tons of them when they're certain to engage in gambling then it won't stop them. With the thrilling experience that description you're giving, it's not actually all about it.

There's more to it and that's what makes someone gamble more and that's through the potential profit that anyone can make out of it.

And aside from that, the fun that it can give them is whatever the side effect that it can give will be temporarily forgotten due to it.
637  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 14, 2024, 10:01:23 AM
Are those the only ones that we've got in the community? Because I've seen RLB doing well for the past months and despite that we're not yet on the bull at that time, I have noticed that it has done so good.

I've held BFG and got some decent profit out of it but I've lost track on it after selling it.

I'm just surprised that it's no longer doing good which it should have been. Maybe the devs of it have lacked into marketing it unlike the others that have done well.
638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you tried Pre-Market Trading? on: April 14, 2024, 06:51:38 AM
I haven't tried it and probably will never. Just like in housing, there are pre-sale/market but you're paying for your own construction.

With this, the exchange or the project will be able to get your money but you are not guaranteed that you'll get a decent ROI.

You might get into losing with that capital that you're going to invest on them and that's why, it's riskier than the typical presale that the projects do because they can use your money for something else.

If you use Bybit or KuCoin, everything will go smoothly, regardless of whether you are a seller or a buyer. This is much safer than using the OTC Market, since the fulfillment of their obligations by the parties is guaranteed by the exchange itself on the basis of the developed Pre-Market rules.
Well, if it is about the usage of bybit, I have nothing bad to say about it because I have good experience on it.

As for kucoin, despite some issues about it, heard good things about it and about for the pre markets, before committing into it you have to check if it is for you.

And whichever you hear about these kind of markets, you should know what you are up to.
