This is not yet another cycle, this is the End of Cycles

The one where after BTC flippens gold it doesn't flip back

The one where web3 supercedes web2

Where culture is collected and accrued digitally instead of physically

Where life is lived mindfully rather than mindlessly

https://twitter.com/zhusu/status/1363035740507017216

--------

At first it sounded bearish to me, until I unerstood what is meant. Since its creation Bitcoin went through several severe bear periods between the halvings. But what if the mass adoption has increased so much  that no such bear periods of 80%+ crashes from tha last ATH are possible? We see the first sign for that - unlike any other period of 12 months, there was only one 30% correction and two 20% corrections. What if this is a sign that such long periods of lack of interest from the big investors  are no longer possible? The implications on any sell strategy involving considerations of the previous cycles will be hugely negative. I mean if someone is selling with the hope of buying 80% cheaper, this may turn to be a total disaster with some 30-40% dips occurring here and there. Not only that, but this will make any unnecessary major sell from our stash to be a big mistake. This tweet predicts more than a supercycle, rather an infitite bull market. Well, this may look unrealistic now, but certainly the probability for that is not 0 as some may think based on previous experience. And sometimes the past experience may be misleading.

We made it boys, after all these years we made it!

A remarkable milestone. Next target - 2T cap! It seems inevitable.  Shocked Someone said a few pages back that in 10 years we should reach 500K. Yeah, right, it could happen that way of course. But let's just wait to see the prices at the end of the year. (Hint: with the current pace we are on track for 400K.) At least 150K until June this year looks quite possible for sure  Wink

I can't make TRM kawpow to work for RX 560 cards on SMOS. It starts with 0 hash no matter the OC values. Is there a way to make it work?

On SMOS both versions 1.23 and 1.24 crash on each 4GB card, no matter what value for --4g-alloc-size parameter is set. Version 1.22 works well except 560 cards, there it often goes to 0 hash and the rig freezes. Again, I tried many parameters from 3900 to 4080. Sometimes 560 starts, sometimes not. And after several hours it goes to 0.

Yeah, I have done some tests here and concluded the same thing, "On SMOS both versions 1.23 and 1.24 crash on each 4GB card,".

I am experiencing the exact same issues with lolminer 1.23 and 1.24 in SMOS.

124a seems to have fixed it, hashrate seems to be the same.
At first glance 1.24a worked on SMOS, but after several hours some serious troubles began. May be it is related to the MB, I don't know. I'm with asus B250 ME with 12 AMD cards, 10 of which are 4GB. The rig completely freezes at some point, and only cold restart can help. During that time my switch goes nuts and all other rigs on the network stop working. It seems that the damage the versions 1.23-1.24a do to the SMOS and the network are pretty bad. And I spent all day trying to fix it without luck. Now I'm with 1.22 again, although I have some issues with 3 cards, going to 0 hash for --4g-alloc-size parameter set between 4074 and 4080. I will continue trying below 4074, although for the 560 card I know that this won't help. There are some invalid shares which are fixed for 560 in 1.23-1.24a, but I can't run these versions because some bug causes these severe crashes. All other 9 cards are working fine with 4080. Anyway, soon I will have to switch to another coin, so it is not a big issue for me. Unless lolminer surprisingly finds a way to restore the full hashrate by some magic with the DAG file.  Grin

Good as always, only 10 2 1 away from Legendary bro

FTFY

FTFY3. Now Legendary. Welcome.
What a pleasant surprise! In a matter of minutes I got 30+ merits and achieved a Legendary status! 99% of the merits came from this epic thread! I'm honoured to be part of the WO Legendary OG! Thank you El duderino and LFC_Bitcoin for the last boost and many more legends here not only for the merits, but for being such a sincere and strong support for me and the others in this forum. I don't want to sound corny, but I've always tried my best to contribute to the HODL movement with my thoughts and reactions. For me, the most important things are to learn to be patient and positive, no matter what is the current situation, and equally important - to encourage myself and the others with a sincere and accurate analysis related to Bitcoin.

And to make the things even better - that motto under my hat is already partially fulfilled at the current prices! It was far from easy for me starting to discover the Bitcoin world in 2016 and finally investing all savings in the late Summer of 2017. I made so many bad decisions caused by the lack of a deeper understandig of what is Bitcoin and what is its importance in my life. When I finally got to the firm HODL conviction in Dec 2017, it turned against me. For a whole year I was seeing how my hopes of a new house and a new life were falling appart to the point when I was 40% poorer than before investing in Bitcoin. But even then I saw clearly what is going to happen and summoned my last fiat resources to buy several precious coins. I will conclude with a Hall of Fame quotes of my posts from the end of that horrible 2018 year:

4600 is the new 6400. Who would have thought after so many months there we will dream of this price so soon.  Huh Anyway, this is a loss for the weak hands and bonus for the hodlers who can endure such drops and buy more. When the train starts again, I am sure all these people will wait until its too late to enter again. Imagine how weak hands are 'making money': They buy at 15k$ and above because the charts looked so hot and sexy and their analysis shows it will stay that way. Now at 4K they sell because the chart looks horrible. They assure themselves that they will enter again when they are certain the bull run is on. But when - at 6k? No, not confident. At 12K- no, its too much of a price. But the Bitcoin will not stop at 16K, 20K... and finally after 30-40K they decide to enter again... Just before the next drop to 20K when they panic sell again...

This is the explanation why there are people never profiting, while others are making huge money. I am gloating with the anticipitation of the next bull run when all these noobs will bite their tongues for selling at 4K, while the price goes above 40K! Mark my words!

This is hurting badly already.

I’ve watched my bitcoin stash worth go from close to 1 million GBP to well, you can figure it out from that.
Of course it hurts.....badly.

I feel stupid for not selling at the ATH but we’ve all been through this before & we rocketed from $160 to $20,000.

It will happen again?

If it doesn’t RIP to me.

Then you had some more than me, but it's basically the same.... hundreds of thousands of euros of paper profit vanishing in front of my eyes.

In comparison to what has already vanished the remaining feels so small....

OTOH, I wasn't expecting to to sell in this decade. I will stick to my plan.

Hurts badly thou.

It hurts a lot. I must admit I am worrying if I’ve literally fucked my entire life up.

I always said I’d wait until about a year after the halving so that’s what I’m going to stick to.

C'mon we are all suffering.  Look it on the bright side. The suffering make us strong. Besides, most people (including myself) can only dream of having your stash. I've decided to wait until 40K, so I can buy a nice house and a new car. I don't care when we get there, because I don't need the money now. During that time I can buy more bitcoins. If the price is lower I can buy more.  Of course, I prefer to get there quicker than wait for 3 years. When all scammers sell their coins and ETF comes, it will be like the gold explosion. We may reach 40K in a year. Let's remember that in 2017 for 1 month we went from 5K to 20K, so why not again?

This reminds me of Sept. 2017 China-bans-ico FUD, when Bitcoin crashed from 4800 to 3000. In the last day we had 30% crash, then 25% bounce to 3800, and the next few days sideways around 3600. Now we had 20% bounce to 4200 followed by a dip to 3800-3900 (BFX). The support is way too big - around 13K BTC in buy offers down to the price 3000$ (BFX). So good luck bears  getting another 20% down Grin The time of the bears has ended! The time of the bulls is coming! The only thing I regret is that if I knew what was gonna happen, I would sell at 20K and rebuy at 4k. I knew that in 2014 the crash was because of the Gox thing. Since the situation was completely different I thought it won't happen again. But I forgot one thing - most of the traders are illitirate and chart looking morons. They don't think logically, nor believe in the technology. It is funny how exactly traders copied the chart of 2014 y! Their story this year is cutting the losses sells. Nah, this game is for gamblers. I am sure that when the bakkt and ETF news come out they will be on the wrong side - useless fiat or worse tether  Grin Besides I think it is too greedy to sell with the hope of rebuying lower. Just buy regularly with the income and endure the dips and crashes. You never know when the market is going to turn against the shorters! Set a price target and wait until it's reached. If we went from 150$ to 20K$ in 3 years, why not going from 4k$ to 40K$ in 3 years? I just hope I and my family to have a good health, and lets see what will happen in 3-7 years. I hope by then to have at least 20 bitcoins... So the lower price is not so bad for me after all Grin

Those who try to scare us with going to 0 talk either don't understand how exchanges work, or are hoping to make others sell, so they buy cheaper. I am not scared of any low price and that I will be at a loss temporarily (happened many times already). On the contrary, I am happy with the fact that I can buy more Bitcoins with my monthly income. The question is not how low we may go, but how high we will go! For the ignorants just two numbers - 200 price at the end of 2014 (does it matter now?!?) and stable 6K at the end of 2017 (excluding the peak 10-20K). So we are on this schedule: 4k at the end of 2018 and stable 30-40K  at the end of 2021 (with possible peak above 100K). But let's say we have more crooks like Wu, Ver and Wright to hammer the price, and SEC is still refusing to allow ETF. Then what about in 7-8 years. With almost all 21mil Bitcoins mined, and several millions lost each year, and millions of new buyers... The explosion can't be delayed much longer for sure. So, no need of FUD or nervous trading, just hodl and you won't be dissapointed by the result!

A simple question about trading on exchanges: is it safe to assume that over 90% of trading we see happening on exchanges is made by bots? Meaning professional traders and entities run bots and automate trades while 10% of regulars trade actually against them.
Is that so?

The bot by itself can't make profit. Only if the trader has the right strategy it can help him, especially during the night. However, it takes much time to deal with all the obstacles. And this is for the regular trading. For the short/long trading the bots are even more complicated and cost more. If someone invented an algorithm that in long term makes some profit, than he will become very rich and famous. Since this haven't happened yet, I think that it is impossible to make such a man-free algorithm. Therefore, I believe most of the traders either don't use bots at all, or use only partially bots with limited functions, like to have a stop loss for the night. This of course can be done without bots on some exchanges, but others don't have such tools.

Let see what the day brings us.

This is the usual weak hand trading. Traders who try to make 1% daily profit caused a daily resistance, which often leads to their loss. They count on the sell button too much and when several traders hit it at the same time the button, their sell is done 5-10% below what they expected. This typically happens when the bid book is too thin, as it was yesterday on all exchanges. The funny thing is that these are the same traders who registered many losses in the last year despite the huge bull run. Yes, it may sound improbable, but most of the daily traders live with some kind of loss ranging from 10% to 100%. Many of them who cut losses in June last year, having X bitcoins, now cut their losses having X/10 bitcoins. This is how things work - investors getting richer and traders getting poorer each day. It is not possible that both groups of people win at the same time. We've seen here quite a few excited traders, who boasted with a 10% profit around 7K at some point last year. They sold, because some famous shorter publised a prediction in tradingview that the bull run is exhausted and Bitcoin is going back to 6K. Later their guru was caught with his pants down and incurred himself a huge loss. Nobody from these imbeciles ever showed up here again. I guess they live happily with the 100$ they've made. And this is the successfull 1% part of all traders. The remaining 99%, most of who use leverage trading are in some kind of a loss. On the other hand, the only real investors in the whole hisory of Bitcoin, who are in a temporary loss are those that bought Bitcoins yesterday. And they won't be dissapointed in the next months, for sure. So, there is absolutely no need to be frustrated because of the dips. They only help breaking the resistances on the way up.

I have to ask: now it's clear when you talk about the honey badger, than you meant Bitcoin. Hope I am right. I ask, because there where times, the honey badger were meant when the Bitcoin gone down. So I was always confused.
To be final clear, when you from Wo talk about the HB, you Eman BTC, right?

 Huh

honey badger always meant bitcoin. it is used to express that bitcoin does not give a damn about price or FUD or anything.

I think honey badger is the true hodler, who guards his honey (i.e. bitcoin stash) and nobody can take it away from him no matter how big the crash is (epecially on 12 March 2020): "The honey badger is notorious for its strength, ferocity and toughness. It is known to savagely and fearlessly attack almost any other species when escape is impossible, reportedly even repelling much larger predators such as lion and hyena." (wikipedia)

Quiet curious when it will reach the highest Peak in this run?!  In the middle or last quarter of 2021? Or first one in 2022?

My SOMA predictions tell me that around 12 June 2021 we will reach the peak of $168 020. Then the usual sideways and possibly bear market before the next bull run in the zone of $7 tril cap. I think that because of the raised institutional interest, the next bear market will be shorter and shallower compared to the previous bear markets. I expect a brief 55% local bottom correction from the last ATH $168 020, before returning to the bull run.

#confirmedbymathandscience

So one peak or two, most of us agree that we're in a bull market and this bull market is not going to run out of steam soon. Let's see if 600w's grandma was right with her prediction (80k $/EUR?) for the first peak? How many peaks are going to happen? Now I'm a bit worried about that early stage of a fee bubble similar to that in 2017. Let's see how it's going to unwind.

Yeah, it seems that the bull market is still heating up. My prediction is moderately optimistic. It is certainly possible to have a peak around $90K this Spring and another peak around $300K in late Autumn.
