621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: February 23, 2017, 07:17:11 PM
The other day, some noticed the bittrex wallet was slow to generate a KMD address. The reason was there was a bug in the local wallet code that inadvertently had a 1000 utxo limit. I made a fix for it right away and we deployed a hotfix that cleared up the issue.

However, during the incident assessment, we decided to make sure much larger utxo wont confuse the wallet. The goal was to get a stable wallet behavior with 1 million+ utxo, which we expect will be much more than any real world wallet would ever get.

So we created an internal assetchain called UTXO to create this million utxo wallet. With several nodes filling up blocks with tx to the same address, we got it to almost 600,000 utxo today.

After verifying that the tx sending still worked, but was sluggish, I added some optimizations and now it is still on the slow side (half a million utxo wallet after all!), it is running stable.

So, we will continue to push more utxo into the wallet and will continue to test as it goes above 1 million and beyond.

Good job. This will be my first time transferring some kmd to bittrex and it is slow. 30 confirmations is normal?

We need Egaas on exchange Please, If you want to conduct another ICO please do now and make the tokens available for trading, this is no lesson one don't have to learn twice
What would you do in their shoes? It's not wise for them to release it right now. It's not backed by anything and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Let them prove its worth so much that you would love to be patient.

I see the team working hard every day, but I have different views on the direction of development
The focus is not to do the platform, people actually do not use any country, and even russian
The focus is to develop standards for open API data interoperability to assist governments to develop e-government platform

This is one of few great answers on this topic. Good attitude.

Janus failed their ICO yet they continued their project diligently. Let us hope and see if EGAAS can really deliver something.

Hi. Are those AWS codes used in buying stuffs in Amazon?
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRST] [TOKEN SALE] WeTrust.io SAVINGS & INSURANCE PLATFORM on: February 09, 2017, 03:19:29 PM
1500BTC minimum would be quite hard to achieve given the high rate of bitcoin. Also people like to diversify their investment portfolio so they do not put all their eggs in one basket.I think the minimum limit should be adjusted with high bitcoin price

@zahra4577: We think 1,500 BTC is fair and necessary to develop the features we're looking to build. It may be adjusted slightly if BTC takes a sharp turn upwards, but at this point, we will keep it at 1,500 BTC.

Yes 1,500 btc is a little bit suspicious. That is so much money. Sorry but I can't see how you can justify that. That is just crazy. You will never have to work ever again with that kind of money.

For major projects 1,500 BTC is not too big some projects ICO can collect 2,000 BTC in 2 days so why not
What is needed now is an optimistic look at how the market reaction to this project
Now there is another course correction BTC.
Bitcoin Price Crashes as Chinese Exchanges OkCoin & Huobi Pause Withdrawals Temporarily - https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-is-crashing-as-chinese-exchanges-pause-withdrawals/
It's time to buy cheaper and to enter in the project.

Yeah there was a sudden lowering of bitcoin value. What's happening there in China or the exchanges just have some problems or developments? As what I can see WeTrust top dogs are Chinese right?
626  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Giveaway $100 Bitcoins on: February 08, 2017, 06:58:34 PM
If you are the owner of the app escrow funds here and will visit the playstore to download your app.
Hope it doesn't secretly collect data about users without permission

I am not owner of app, I am sharing my technique of making 100$ bitcoin fast ! I know who owner of app is

If you know who the owner of this site then you must be their marketing representative? Or else I don't understand why you share your secret. The more people using it the earlier the developers can notice.  Shocked

Created an account in Mercatox and voted. I hope people should just do the same.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRST] [TOKEN SALE] WeTrust.io SAVINGS & INSURANCE PLATFORM on: February 07, 2017, 04:33:28 PM
I think "we trust" would be better known if there is a bounty of articles
less legit in my opinion rely solely on fb and twitter social media
I am ready to participate if there's a bounty of articles

You should be grateful there is even social media bounty, some project carried out ICO without any bounty and have a successful ICO example is Golem. Concerning article the team can even pay Forbes to get their article listed there and will have better quality and exposure. Do with what you have.

Did Chronobank paid Forbes when they were featured? I think this project is good and yeah articles from known reliable sites would be nice.

Hopefully the SONM team will present everything clearly before ICO starts. I'm just here watching in silent.

This looks like a very good promising project. Team is mostly Chinese so are we expecting your whales to participate? Grin  Hopefully it's a successful ICO.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] SONM - Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining (GRIB technology) on: February 01, 2017, 07:12:18 PM

Currently maximum number of tokens is planned to be 222 000 000 with 160 000 000distributed by crowdfunding.
1% of all tokens will go for bounties.
Approximate expected price for white paper translations is expected to be 0.05 btc (in our tokens equivalent, 5ETH or 500 our tokens).

Recent ICO collect very little, you overestimated their project. Why is the price fixed? Can distribution according to investment is better?

Can you comment a bit please what do you mean? Currently 1 ETH = 100 DIL, so 100 DIL are generated for each 1 ETH.
This means that if 30 000 ETH are raised, then 3 000 000 DIL is generated, while if maximum 1 600 000 ETH is donated, then 160 000 000 DIL is generated. So the number of tokens corresponds to investments. Or you mean additional bonus for bigger investments?

Number of tokens corresponding to investments is ok, but then it is unclear how this is going to be handled (see the part marked red above). Not all tokens are to be distributed by crowdfunding, and its unclear how big will be the total tokens number then.

No reply? Ok, I will ask once again in more another form.

If lets say 50 000 ETH is raised, and so only 5 000 000 DIL is distributed, will the total number of DIL be 222 000 000 ?

If yes, then whom those 217M (222M - 5M) will belong to?
If not, then what will be the total number of tokens then?

I think it is best if there will be a fixed number of DILs before crowdfunding starts. And as what I observed in other successful projects it is best if those coins will be distributed according to investments. Which means that if you want to to distribute the 160 million DILs thru crowfunding it will be automatically divided by the total funds collected. No more fixed price like the 1 eth = 100 DILs

Another scenario is go on with your fixed price 1 eth = 100 DILs but if you collected investments only worth 100 million DILs you need to burn undistributed 60 million. Because developers will have to keep 62 million DILs only.

633  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: January 30, 2017, 09:50:48 PM
For trading, before the start I recommend you to watch the movement of altcoins. If you are already a market player you will understand easily but if you are not. It is not going to be easy for you. You have to understand to predict the movement, the speculations, stop-lost points, buy and sell timings. Believe me, it is not easy for a beginner.

Absolutely right, trading is not for a newbie and needs to learn and understand the market clearly and if enters into it without any knowledge and experience then it will bring huge loss for him in the beginning so if a newbie who still wants to go for trading without gaining knowledge is advised to start with small capital that he can afford to loose.

Start at 100k sats and trade for a month accompanied with some research and deep understanding on the crypto market. You need patience, stop being greedy and try as much as possible not to be taken by emotions.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: January 30, 2017, 08:36:54 PM
Should I believe in Bitcoin ?
I have 10k $ and maybe going to buy  , but I doubt the further development of Bitcoin and I'm afraid to lose money! Can you convince me or dissuaded from buying?

You don't need to have a doubt in bitcoin actually. In fact, there are more businessman or other investors who put there investment into bitcoin more than the amount you have now, so what makes you different with them. Only things is they never doubt on it instead, they are totally believed in bitcoin itself.

Different people thinks differently and have different perception about bitcoin and people who have faith in the potential of bitcoins will not hesitate in investing huge amount of money into it as they are pretty confident that bitcoin will survive long and will give best returns if they wait for the right time to sell bitcoins and a person who is afraid of investing will never experience what profits is all about.

Or perhaps op don't have much knowledge on bitcoin reason why he asked. Anyway it's really hard to invest big when you don't have full knowledge and understanding. It's only $10 though and as of this moment it could've been worth around $30?
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I had egaas but I do not know where I have to sell? on: January 30, 2017, 08:21:44 PM
Why not try to contact any of the team or maybe ask in their official thread about updates. I'm pretty sure you are not alone and somebody will answer at least.

637  Economy / Economics / Re: John McAffee: "In 2 years Years btc will only have 25% of the Crypto MarketCap" on: January 30, 2017, 07:08:10 PM
This is just a rough statement, without any fact backing what he is saying. There is a few reasons for me to think that what he is saying will not happen :

Still no competitor to this day : to this day, after 8 years of existance for Bitcoin, that was not a single competitor that got just one tenth of the total market cap. In two years, with to now no great project ahead, I doubt the theory of a mighty crypto-currency surpassing Bitcoin will make its dominance sink. Ethereum was the most credible opportunity and to this day they have failed to nearly everything they have promised.

The theory of a great number of good coins : this theory would be that there would be a great surge of good crypto-currencies, totalising each at least a marketcap 50 000 000$. Again, considering that nothing moves and stay at its current rate, for Bitcoin to have only 25% of total marketcap left, we would need not less than 890 of those crypto-currencies. Definitely impossible.

Bitcoin plunging : of course if Bitcoin plunged to comically low levels, its global dominance would be affected, since its marketcap would be much more lower. But, given that this has a little probability to happen, I do not think that we can take this way of how things could go seriously. Even though if we did so, Bitcoin falling to the ground would be too nefast for the whole crypto-economy, and all the altcoins would be driven in its path. The total marketcap would be much more less, and I doubt that any altcoin would survive.

In brief, this is just a way to get cheap coins as many will say here !

This is exactly correct. I mean bitcoin might be down to 25% of the crypto market but it is very difficult to expect it in 2 years. I say past 2020 some more promising coins might rise.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: January 30, 2017, 04:20:40 PM
For 2017 ,

I expect BTC to have a Major Price Dump , new range somewhere between $235 & $450 before the end of the year.

 Cool

Wanna bet it won't touch 450 usd? We can use escrow if you are interested.  Grin
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: January 29, 2017, 07:13:46 PM

Bitcoin users will continue to grow consistently as it is right now. I agree that some cryptos are probably going to become better than bitcoin but 2017 is too early to talk about that.

Regarding its value I am still guessing when is the right time to enter again. I heard an analyst saying it will have a bit major correction this coming February so maybe I will wait  before investing again. Bitcoin conversions back to local currencies are damn very low and it is ridiculous.
640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: January 29, 2017, 06:44:36 PM
If this person is still holding his bitcoin from this date of post to now it's more than 400% of its value. Now I begin to think if it''s possible to begin saving my bitcoin and expecting it to grow as high as 400% before 2020 starts.
