Hi everybody.

It's possible to min Verge with ethOS?

Thank you in advance for any help

sure, if ethOS has x17, scrypt, blake2s, lyra2re2, or myr-groestl....

OK but which algo should I better use with my nvidia 1080ti?

X17 at zpool.ca

I use Nemosminer to switch algos automatically on ZPOOL with my nVidia cards -- my 1080Ti spends most of it's time on algos like tribus, timetravel, etc.

Zpool steals 20% of your money. I wouldn't bother with them.

642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is $120 a day possible with the Bitmain Antminer D3 !? on: September 20, 2017, 02:55:20 PM
That things almost making minimum wage!
lol I told my GF that yesterday too! I was just like what if . . I could freeze time .. .  and I just mine xD

Then you would have a power worth more than $120/day.

643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Wallet RPC to Stratum proxy on: September 20, 2017, 12:48:07 PM

Are there any RPC to Stratum proxies that are designed for solo mining?

Right now the pool server I'm mining on has terrible luck. It makes me think they're scamming and I'd rather just go it alone. Unfortunately my mining software doesn't support a direct RPC connection. I need some sort of middleman between the wallet and my miner that supports stratum.

I would prefer it if the stratum didn't verify if a share was valid (reduce CPU load and complexity) before pushing it off to the wallet. If it sees a share > networkdiff it would immediately push it to the wallet. This would give it sort of universal support.

Will XVG face the same problems that monero faces in regards to a mobile app and hardware wallet ? This seems like a real stumbling block for them and could really be an advantage for XVG

we already have a mobile android wallet, that -only- runs on tor.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vergeandroid.wallet
Will you upload an i2p version to some Chinese app stores? Google play has been blocked before, I don't know if it is right now, but it's not popular for sure. I think Baidu has one, there are others that are popular, too. Tor nodes are usually blocked.

It is, I couldn't access the play store when I was in china last week.

Is idcray a scam pool? Their luck is terrible long term. They're stuck at 120% where as other pools are 105%. I realize coins with blocks this fast have more orphans.. But, this is ridiculous...

Interesting. Gotta check that (113% at the moment).
Any better pool?

Going to try to setup yiimp as soon as my verge wallet is synced.

I just started mining on your myr-gr pool. Apparently your hardware can't handle me Sad

Can you check out what's going on and get it resolved? Half my miners are getting stratum connection issues and even the other users are now having problems. luna1080ti's hashrate dropped by half. Maybe manually adjust the difficulty on my one worker to diff of 1 ? Diff 1 should be fine for me.

[06:50:25] stratum_recv_line failed
[06:50:25] Stratum connection interrupted
[06:50:25] Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003; Connection refused
[06:50:25] ...retry after 10 seconds

I still have more miners to switch over  Undecided  Kiss

Thanks.

learn about mining and how to calc your profits before talking against OCminer and Suprnova.

if your reference is whattomine, i rest my case...

What do profits have to do with the calculation of the speed at which you hash?  Huh Huh

It's true unfortunately. I'm getting really tired of it. First it started off as just a couple percentage points. Now it's up to 6%. Time to go back to solo mining. For the past 48-72 hours my hashrate has never gone within 5% of the actual value.

Initially, it was share injection (manual or scripted share insertion into the database that was not linked to any user). It would show up on the graphs and I was the only one who had the hashrate to cause that level of spike (30% of the pools total hashrate). I complained, then it stopped and the diminished hashrate started. Of course, no response to my complaint was received.

I make up like 90% of the hashrate for the dgb myr-gr pool. No idea what the fuck up is up with this community. There's no honest people anywhere.

https://dgbg.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

My hashrate is currently 79,200Mh/s. It will never get close to this number.

So if its that bad, why are you STILL mining there? I mean the simple answer is to switch pools rather than write a sob story on a forum.

Because I'm traveling and it will take me about 6 hours to make the move remotely. That's just to switch pool server. It will take even more if I have to run a full node + setup nomp. I don't have the time. Thanks, jackass.

650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: September 12, 2017, 06:47:57 PM
I think this month will be quiet for Monaco. But, If they can actually deliver next month VISA or Plain debt cards, I think we will see a huge price spike.
So, invest or sign up for the cards now guys.
I signed up for the card along with the other 11k folks who signed up for this sexy card. Smiley

IDGAF if the price goes to zero. I want the card! I'm tired of risking my bank accounts to cash out bitcoins.

Tired of all the speculators out there....

651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: September 12, 2017, 04:36:55 PM
Is the badnews of Xapo and Shakepay affecting Monaco? [1]

Visa is disallowing bitcoin debit card outside of EU.

[1] https://ether.direct/2017/08/30/h1visa-to-shakepay-xapo-cease-operations-outside-europeh1/

Maybe just for those 2. No news from bitpay about it.

Can't wait for my space gray card.. Need a good way to pay my monthly mining bills.. Just wish it didn't cost $500K to get the black card for the unlimited interbank exchange. Kind of ridiculous, but whatever. At least 1/2 my electric bill will be at perfect interbank exchange.

I got a bitpay visa around 2 months ago. They still are unable to activate it properly. What a joke. It made me lose all faith in their company. It's been weeks since they've even replied to my support tickets more than "you need to wait". For now, I guess I'll need to keep risking bank account closure by sending funds to it from an exchange until they get their shit together.

What happened to bitpay when you say they are unable to "activate it properly". I was using bitpay as a client wallet for a while but left when they didn't respond properly to the BCH fork, not saying if it will spit out BCH or not.

I ordered a bitpay card 45-60 days ago. First, they sent it by snail mail to a country where the postal service is very corrupt. I complained and they cancelled the card then sent a new one with the proper DHL service. Then, when i went to activate the card it refused to activate. I sent in a support ticket. It's been 30+ days and they still haven't resolved the issue and I still haven't been able to activate my card, nor have i received any advice from bitpay about how to proceed.

How sure can we be that MCO will get Visa approval? Does MCO have a business model if it doesn't? This seems like a huge risk to take if there is only a binary outcome.

Approve = $50+ or Disapprove = $0 ?

Could there be regional approvals? Some areas getting approved, some not?

From what i have rea / heard MCO is going for Visa program manager which means they can issue cards. For eg Ten x pay is not a visa program manager they piggy back off anothere supplier. This is why it has taken longer than expected for MCO to get the visa approval.

Im currenty 90% confident Mco willAnnounce Visa this month. If they do not succesfully become program managers then they will either take ther route of another supplier like tenx has or maybe look at Master card?

Obviously all of the above is my opinion based on what i have read / heard

ZeroHedge is reporting that because of this recent ICO crackdown, all ICO funds raised in China must be returned to investors. Since the team is located in Hong Kong, wouldn't that make this a regulatory impossibility for Visa approval now? Monaco may not even be able to continue. The link to the PBOC is dead on ZeroHedge, but they are usually pretty reliable with their sources.

It doesn't get any more clear than that. Monaco is headquartered in Hong Kong, China. There does not appear to be any exemption. They can not continue to operate and must shutdown.

Sorry guys, I really wanted to buy this coin. This regulatory crackdown has done it for me and I doubt Visa or any other card company will approve it now. Good luck, with this market, a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.

Hong Kong is a SAR "Special Administrative Region". They make their own laws. They're not under the thumb of the CCP.

655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Am I the only one who thinks the 0% fee pool servers are scamming? on: September 07, 2017, 07:27:30 PM
In my mind I'm thinking -- Why would anyone put in all that work and get nothing for it? How many altruists do you really know in your life? Am I really expected to believe that those doing it here are all great people?

Am I the only one who when they see "0% fee" runs for the hills? What do you think?

I've already caught a few pools pulling shady shit (for example, inserting shares to the DB that appear on the graphs but aren't associated with any user). I have a significant amount of hashrate so when I mine on a pool where I'm 80%+ of all hashes.... It's easily noticeable when they start throwing in an extra 20% here and there. No one else on the pool has that level of hashrate and it's well beyond variance.

I think I need to start solo mining again...

I have an RX580 Sapphire Nitro at 28Mh/s and 85W at the wall with platinum PSU and 220v input. On a small undervolt, 950 IIRC. I'm out of town at the moment but I can send you my firmware when I get back (9/14)

Why do people mine in windows? Is it just because they don't know linux? Everyone is always bitching about instability and i'm just like  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Fundraising for a new mining venture on: August 27, 2017, 09:45:58 PM

I'm currently looking for investments in our mining venture so we can enter production. We're already mining on prototype hardware. We're raising $2M in total to enter production. I'd like to keep the investments at a minimum of $100,000 per investor. Valuation will be set at $10M. Returns are far beyond anything from GPU or ASIC mining investment. Risk has been minimized in the business plan.

Contact me if you're interested. I'll be making a worldwide fundraising tour soon and might be able to stop by to give you a presentation in person. I'll need to see proof of funds in the form of a bank statement or a signed message from your bitcoin wallet as a proof of capacity.

660  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction time on: August 25, 2017, 04:55:52 PM
What you're suggesting is pretty much the goal of BCH and many altcoins that already exist. If you aren't happy with the state of Bitcoin then abandon it and move to an altcoin. That will speak much larger volumes than just a post that the devs and most of the community will ignore. Core devs and followers will never accept these changes, many of the core devs actually want to decrease block size (which would make transaction times even slower).

Wow, so all of that "were better than the banks" they were using to market bitcoin for 4 years, really was, bullshit. I even remember a bunch of talk about how versatile it was, and able to change with the times, implement new features. Just more bullshit I guess. I'll start supporting and using DGB.

I must admit that reading this becomes funnier as I look at your avatar Mr. "Bitcoin Foundation Lifetime Member" and all those coins, Ethereum, Waves out there you decide to support DGB? You need to rethink what you are investing into my friend.

Ya, I added that back in like 2012? Back when everyone was like 'were going to take over the banks!', 'this will be the best money transfer service!', 'it will have lower fees than anywhere else!', 'smart contracts!', 'decentralized', 'fastest money transfers!', bla bla bla.

I don't invest. I've been mining DGB for quite awhile. I wasn't really fond of it at first but it grew on me. It doesn't have the adoption level that's desirable but it does have a lot of potential IMO.
