641  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: September 28, 2012, 01:40:49 AM
I just started using this (it's great) but I can't seem to get the system to run with the clocks I have set in the bamt.conf file. Also there is no file in the /BAMT/CONTROL/ACTIVE/ which people had said to check.

If it matters I am running 2 5970s (only using 3 GPUs as one is bad).

Thanks

does it run fine not OC'd?

copy the noOC file into ACTIVE from CONTROL

Can you please clarify the "All items are sold as is with no warranty or guarantee of condition" statement then?

Thanks!

I'd be interested in all of the gpus, but it's difficult to justify paying what you want if you are not guaranteeing the cards are functional.

<@gribble> Estimated time of bitcoin block reward halving: Fri Nov 30 13:24:00 2012

BFL is currently estimating delivery of product in November, when they were initially estimating October.
It would not be out of the question to assume that there will be another delay forthcoming.
650  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: September 22, 2012, 03:05:36 AM
My rock-solid 5-gpu rig has during the last four days developed an issue and I dont have a clue as to what is causing it or what I should check next. At random intervals I find the rig idling, no mining going on, a simple restart mining does not resolve the issue, whereas a powerdown or coldreboot does. The main pool is up (I've even had the pool op check logs for anythig unusual... nothing there), the two backup pools are up, there has been no interruption in the network connection.

Miner: Phoenix
Bamt version: fully patched 0.5

Other thing's I've checked: the flashdrive running bamt is not full.

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

[edit]
The only variable that has (somewhat) changed during the period this issue appeared I can think of is that the rig is getting cooler air as it is outdoors and it's fall here.

Does the rig still have network connectivity?

652  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 5 miners with triple HD 7970 on: September 16, 2012, 11:37:53 PM
well if no one else is going to post a public offer i can offer $1250 for one rig. i would request an escrow because of your lack of reputation.

Thank you for your offer. It's a low bid and I am motivated to sell.  Unfortunately I cannot accept because of the cost of the hardware.  Also consider that you are getting tested, working and with known performance miners. When I started building this setup I had no idea how much work it was going to be to get working hardware and build the scripts (BAMT v0.5 does not work with HD 7970 not later builds of CGMiner), and stabilize the hardware configuration.

For others who maybe considering this: escrow is fine with me -- I don't have anything to hide.  PM is fine too.  Once deals are settled I will update this thread to indicate sales.

Happy day!

Why don't you post what you are expecting to get for each rig? Otherwise it turns into a bunch of posts trying to lowball you and draw you out.

uhm, 5970s for $400? seriously?
If you are mining there's no way a 5970 is worth 400 right now.

Agree. I was shocked by the 1250 offer. If i was the seller i would take it. Very reasonable.
Ram is worthless. Cdrom worthless. Cpu worthless. Only vid cards, mb, and psu have value to me.

So 200*3=600
Mb about 125.
Psu about 100.
Everything else 50 bucks. Shipping 25...

900... Which even then i dont want it. Take months and months to pay off if ever...

Not trashing your sale. Is good stuff but i am used to good deals. Really good deals.

 Wink

Sometimes I wonder if people buying up some of this stuff have an idea of how many years it'll take to come close to breaking even.
#1 - Increasing diff
#2 - ASICS on horizon
#3 - Block reward halving

655  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 5770 Ref FAN + Fan shroud OR [WTS] Bare Card on: September 16, 2012, 01:46:40 AM
I was seeing if had one of these lying around being used on a dead card.

I have a card with a broken fan shroud, the mounting points are broken on the Shroud.

The Card works fine and I have verified operation with an aftermarket fan/heatsink.

I'm looking to fix the card so I can sell it on Ebay, because it still runs great.

Or if someone runs 5770's and needs an bottom Card, where the fan mounting size doesn't matter.

I will also consider any offers for this card ( don't worry I won't get upset if you low ball me)

you got a pic of the card you are talking about?

Do you work there and get a discount or something?
*COUGH*probablystolenstuff*COUGH*

JFC, seriously?  I hope there was sarcasm in there somewhere.

I own a business.  I can purchase items for my business from Home Depot.  I cannot purchase mining hardware for my business.
Didn't realize I was going to be called a theif because I wanted to trade for Home Depot stuff.... geez...
