641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2023, 02:34:48 AM
This mempool congestion is annoying but luckily it shouldn't affect me too badly. I paid a much lower than usual fee today to transfer half a coin to one of my OTC dudes because I anticipated a possible Xmas dip and I liked $44k. I needed to give the taxman his monthly pound of flesh and have some extra bank money to cover utilities etc while I'm in Mexico. Surprisingly it confirmed quickly.

Did you pay the median fee of 200 sats/Vb if so it will confirmed quickly but it costs more than 10$ per transaction.
and same as you this ordinal is really not stopping in the short term maybe next year the Bitcoin block can really cooldown

anyway weekly candle update

Bitcoin is really wants to break the 45K level but its seems hard tho It can be broken easily if the good news about ETF is coming. so keep an eye guys

643  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC converge to ETH? on: December 21, 2023, 03:46:19 AM
I actually have thought of this idea but I don't believe Bitcoin is going to switch to Proof of Stake if bitcoin goes to PoS or adds more block size there will be a hard fork and the PoW seems really well with bitcoin.

There is no chain is perfect there is always the thing that called the blockchain trilemma

TL;DR

Blockchains can only handle a limited number of transactions per second. If blockchain technology is to be adopted globally, it should be able to handle much more data, and at faster speeds, so that more people can use the network without it becoming too slow or expensive to use. However, the fundamental design of many decentralized networks means that increasing scalability tends to weaken decentralization or security. This is what’s known as the blockchain trilemma. Developers looking to solve this problem are experimenting with different consensus mechanisms and scalability solutions, such as sharding, sidechains, and state channels. - https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-is-the-blockchain-trilemma

645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about Bitcoin network spammer on: December 21, 2023, 02:25:29 AM
Miners love it, exchanges love it, early adopters (of BRC20 shittokens) love it so much that they even made Ordinals on other blockchains. Like I said previously, it's no more than a money-grabbing tactic as these junk collections have no real utility besides stress-testing (i.e. spamming) the network's memory.

When do you think this shit gonna stop like the other token memecoin is slowing down play to earn is slowing down nft is slowing down so I do believe this ordinal gonna stop too
646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 20, 2023, 02:47:29 AM
if you want to send a transaction just look at the https://mempool.space/ to figure it out the best fee right now.

But the fee nowadays is crazy 50$ might only can be used as the fee only.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Attack on Bitcoin’ Claims Circulate as Transaction Fees Climb Higher on: December 20, 2023, 02:46:03 AM
Huhhhhh Ordinals is crazy bro the sats and rats pumping hard like 200% in a fucking single day and it seems this transaction not gonna stop.

I don't know but the Bitcoin developer or the ordinal developer should figure this out or the fee will be this high for a long time. ordinal should move to other chain or figure it out to creating new chain like layer 2 for bitcoin so rollup all the ordinal transaction and push it to bitcoin I think is the best idea for now rather than do on chain like today.

648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 20, 2023, 02:26:36 AM
first of all welcome to they community and feel free to ask if you have a question, and your family is very supportive I believe you are still in school.

So now you have bitcoin on wallet if you have a money to save you might can considered bitcoin too since the old ath is far away and most people here is believe that we gonna make a new ATH so better to keep hoDL and stack em from now
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: December 20, 2023, 02:18:23 AM
In theory, the Government can shutdown bitcoin if all countries on this planet earth decide to shutdown bitcoin but the people are smart so I don't think this gonna be happening.

Next question what happens when bitcoin shuts down if all happen at once maybe the market will crash but not go to zero since most of the money is still on the chain and then people cant move their coin. the altcoin might will be hit hard and me as well Cry.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jpg monkeys are making the fees impossible? Just use a meme coin! on: December 20, 2023, 02:14:48 AM
Lightning is good but most of the people still use the regular Bitcoin chain. So maybe we can start using Lightning as a payment for bounty and start small. Using memecoin like doge is also possible in fact for transaction daily we can use other chains as well.

To be honest I hate ordinals  Grin I mean there is an efficient chain like a bunch of it. there is Ethereum with their layer 2 start from polygon and then arbitrum optimism and lot other why the dev choose bitcoin  Cry
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinal blockchain irking me, causing almost $40 median fee now... on: December 19, 2023, 03:15:38 AM
your story same as I do https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473421.0

The fees are crazy and the miner is at the peak of profit right now

I notice it before the ordinal even existed when bitcoin pumps the bitcoin network will be hit hard by the congestion.

652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question about Bitcoin network spammer on: December 19, 2023, 02:59:41 AM
Ordinal is fuc*ing crazy the new token that is listed on Bybit or Binance sats and RATs hit all time-high

and yesterday I saw the transaction reach 400+ sats for a medium fee

and look at the image, red is everywhere the difficulty is seems gonna hit 5% and per block you can earn 3 bitcoins on average wooooowwwwww guysss whoever doing this transaction I think he want make the bitcoin network busy so he get those delicious fees  Shocked
653  Local / Topik Lainnya / Pemikiran Phil Zimmermann tentang PGP - Kita semua harus membacanya on: December 19, 2023, 02:50:39 AM
Penulis: GazetaBitcoin
Topik Original: Phil Zimmermann's thoughts about PGP - We all should read them

654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 19, 2023, 02:40:11 AM
The reality is that those VIP players simply are putting so much money into the casinos that it's good for the business to keep them happy with perks.

The VIPs are VIPs because they bring so much money to them. Most stores do the same really, VIP treatment for customers who are paying a lot of money to them. Nothing new.

Just think about it, do you really think that a casino that is losing lots and lots of money will give that gambler perks? no. They would probably add security to them or ban them  Grin

Yes I thought the same thing and the casino wants the money back after the player earns or gets the jackpot from the game at least this is the real purpose they give some VIP perks just to make the player "Feel Good about it" and spend more.

Online casino, they give some free spins and deposit bonus with of course they need to wager x20 from their bonuses.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: December 19, 2023, 01:42:15 AM
btw back to demo, the pragmatic gives 100K and I bet around 240$ per spin. try it auto with 6 spins I already earn 5.6K and i don't know why in the demo I always win
That's the magic of demo game, most of the time we will win while playing it which is something reasonable as it is part of how the provider want to attract players.
While on the other side, when we are playing it with real money, it is harder to win unless we are so lucky to hit nice multiplier in several spins only.
Not entirely true though, I tried demo games on different slots provider but not all of them give bonus round that easy, I tried some demo games on new released slots but it gives me a hard time triggering bonus round.
We are not talking about how often triggering bonus round in demo mode vs real mode, it is more about the RTP.
To make it sure, you need to compare like playing 100-200 spins in demo mode vs 100-200 spins in real mode.
Although it is just small size of sample, but I think you will find the difference, which one give you better return.
There is no proof that the RTP in demo mode is bigger than real mode, but I believe most people agree that demo mode gives better result than real mode most of the time.

Oh I don't know guys I Tried Directly start demon in stake.com and the pragmatic website both give me big win. even my friend tried it too. maybe the only reason is like @panjul07 said that is because demo account or like @mu_enrico said that maybe we can get easy profit with 100K balance

657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 18, 2023, 03:48:52 AM
You need to read more than just those Instagram tales. There are real success stories in gambling – yes, they exist! They're not just lies to get likes on social media. People who approach gambling with strategy, discipline, and a bit of luck have made it big. People who play poker professionally, bet on sports like it's science, and play blackjack like they're scientists when they count cards. These are not fairy tales; these are real people who have made gambling an art! I agree with you about one thing: a lot of those Instagram clips aren't real. They act like they live a glamorous life, but most of the time it's all a show. We need to be smart about this. You have every right to doubt their credibility. You know those stories about how casinos give away cars and flats like candy? They're more about seduction than truth. The real point of gambling is to have fun, feel thrills, and take on challenges. Smart and skilled play is what it's all about, not getting sucked in by free stuff.

because I like gambling content now Instagram algorithm gives me a bunch of new videos and some of them are exactly just like you have said. he played card blackjack and poker and he actually won a thousand dollars in couple of hours. I don't know maybe he only posts their winning or he really a successful gambler
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 18, 2023, 03:45:11 AM
The point is to capture several important points in the terms and conditions, in which you actually don't need to read them completely and I'm sure it won't take a lot of time to read them. Of course, there are articles that you don't understand about the law. You can skip them and then look for the important points that you should Remember not to break site rules in the future just because you didn't read them.

For me, the little gambler probably doesn't read too much there, usually the rules are not much different from other sites, especially since we all often share discussions about what is prohibited and what is allowed when gambling on this forum based on the terms and conditions as long as it only discusses the important part. is more than enough. But just in case, it's important for anyone to read it if they have free time  Grin

back in 2021, my friend got DM by some stranger in a telegram and he said needed another "exchange" account to withdraw the money. My friend just said yes and then money was transferred from the stranger's account to the friend's account and it contained 1.3 BTC which is definitely a lot of money. But when my friend decided to withdraw it but the term of service said you need deposit around 500$ to able to withdraw.

That is definitely a red flag and i do believe this is new way to scammer people who don't read tos carefully
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 18, 2023, 03:41:03 AM
Why do you think they should live their lives in a "delayed life" mode? Life is given only once and each of us has the right to choose how we spend our leisure time. It is necessary to live here and now, and not to think about tomorrow, because for someone tomorrow may not come.

If the spouses do not have problems financially and gambling does not create problems for them, they can both continue to gamble.

Here bro our friend also had the same thought as me hahaha. I mean its totally fine do gamble even with tight budget but I think it much wiser to choose something else like slot on play store that not involves money. and what gonna happen if their kids now what their parent doing?

I think the answer is clear that the better and the right thing is that if possible then both of them should stop, that's the better thing that should be chosen by both of them if someone asks a question like this. However and no matter how good the financial management they have, if they are still involved in gambling, it is clear that there will be an allocation of money that should not be done, or simply they will find it easier to manage and meet the needs of the family including their children if they have never been involved in gambling, because obviously in terms of money it will definitely be more efficient.

Yes, instead of putting the money into gambling which certainly has a big risk and is always unpredictable, it is clearly better for them to save the money for other purposes in the future such as for the needs of their children or retirement and also including for urgent situations and conditions that require them to have money in sudden conditions. Yes if they already have money saved for future needs then there is nothing wrong if they don't stop but I think however if they can it is better to just stop, gambling uses money and it could be that one day they take the money saved for gambling.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: December 18, 2023, 03:36:07 AM
That is crazy I mean the news said he is the grandpa's same blood right, after this happened I don't know what happened with this family I think its gonna fall apart. In my opinion gambling is just for fun that evolve money not gonna explode like this one.

I hope case like this wont happen again.
Anyone who has ever experienced an addiction will definitely feel like they have forgotten everything, they will do whatever it takes to be able to finance their gambling, no matter what their grandchildren or other people close to them are, the addict will definitely ignore that, if they do that, it means they are a very serious addict, because if a lower level addict wouldn't do something stupid like that, because they could still make money in other ways.

Addicts are getting weirder every day, but sometimes it's quite difficult for older people to get money when they're old unless they do that, crimes that don't actually have to be done to satisfy their addiction, it's really beyond reason, even a grandfather still doesn't understand that Gambling is just entertainment.  Grin

Yeah, sometimes I forget my problem and anything when play gamble especially if I win. But this grandma just turned into evil in my opinion because of their addiction. I bet he doing this because he wins a lot before this and he just spin again and lost all of it and he just don't accept that loss
