There are a lot of factors that cause people to use money for their own benefit or use it in a manner that we can consider a curse. For example, their surroundings and the environment, if they grow up with mindsets like what they can mirror or see in their parents. If one has the privilege to focus on their study and train their talents or skills for sure they could build up things that could help them in the future which would contribute to the community as well. While the other one lacks support, I think it would be a handicap for them to explore and leave their comfort zone as they are used to in their past. Understandably, responsibility has a way of intilling discipline and make us narrow down our activities to priorities. Family  is indeed a huge priority that must be attended to before anything else.
