If that's the stock pick page that has to be there

PM'ing

Hmm, well there are a number of ways to lessen the negative impact on the user interface. Possibly making it toggle-able and expand when clicked, put it AFTER the footer, etc.

Anyway, replied to your PM Smiley

1. Advice: Don't put this giant amount of fine print on every page.

We endeavor to strictly comply by the disclosure requirements of Securities Act Section 17(b), the disclosure of which appears herein.  We most often receive monetary consideration; however, we may on occasion receive securities compensation or buy and sell securities of the same security we are disseminating information for.  Whether we receive cash or securities compensation, we fully disclose the receipt or anticipated receipt of such compensation. Our activities involve  actual conflicts of interest, since we receive monetary or securities compensation in the very securities we are promoting and shortly after we receive the monetary compensation we promote the securities or after we receive  the securities, we sell the securities during our promotional activities or thereafter.  The non-affiliate third party shareholder from which we receive compensation also has an actual conflict of interest since he or she is paying us securities compensation for promotion services and such non-affiliate third party shareholder may sell other shares he or she holds while we are promoting the issuer that issues the stock that the third party shareholder holds.   Many of the securities we profile are considered penny stocks.  Penny stocks inherently involve high risk and price volatility.  You may lose your entire investment in any penny stock that you invest in. You should be acutely aware of the following information and risks inherent in any penny stock investment that you may make, including any issuer profiled on our websites or otherwise: 1) We receive monetary or securities compensation from persons that claim they are a non-affiliate shareholder ("NAS") or an issuer; however, we conduct no due diligence whatsoever to determine whether in fact they are a non-affiliate; 2) We may receive free trading shares from the non-affiliates, which we may sell at anytime, including as soon as we deposit such shares in our securities accounts, during our promotion of the issuer's stock (that the NAS owns), after our promotion, or at anytime;   3) There is an inherent conflict of interest between our information dissemination services involving various issuers and our receipt of compensation from those same issuers; 4) We may buy and sell securities in the securities that we provide information dissemination services, which may cause: a) significant volatility in the issuer's stock; (b) price declines from our selling activities; (c)  permit us to make substantial profits while we are disseminating profiles or information about the issuer, yet may result in a diminished value to the stock for investors; 5) We conduct little or no due diligence on the profiles we receive from the non-affiliate shareholders nor do we conduct due diligence on any other information we disseminate to the public; 6) We conduct no diligence on the press releases we receive from a non-affiliate shareholder, an issuer, or from a publicly available source;   7) Penny stocks are subject to the SEC's penny stock rules and subject broker-dealers to customer suitability rules and other requirements, which may lead to low volume in the securities and/or difficulties in selling the shares; Cool Many penny stocks are thinly traded or have low trading volume, which may lead to difficulties in selling your securities and extreme price volatility; 9) Many of the penny stocks we profile or provide information about are subject to intense competition, extreme regulatory oversight and inadequate financing to pursue their operational plan; 10) The issuer profiles and information we provide represent only a small or even infinitesimal  amount of information regarding the issuer and is insufficient to formulate an investment decision; as such, that information should only be a starting point from which you conduct an in-depth investigation of the issuer from available public sources, such as www.sec.gov, www otcmarkets.com, www.sec.gov, yahoofinance.com, www.google.com and other available public sources as well as consulting with your financial professional, investment adviser, registered representative with a registered securities broker-dealer; 11) We urge you to conduct an in-depth investigation of the issuer from the above or other available sources, especially because we only present positive information, which is an insufficient basis to invest in any stock, yet alone a penny stock; accordingly, you should proceed with such investigation to determine, among other things, information pertaining to the issuer's financial condition, operations, business model, and risks involved in the issuer's business; 12) The issuers we profile may have negative signs on the otcmarkets.com website (i.e. Stop Sign, No Information, Limited Information, Caveat Emptor), which you should determine from entering the symbol of the stock profiled into the otcmarkets.com website; 13) You should determine whether the issuer we profile or provide information about is a development stage company, which is subject to the risks of a development stage company in a similar such business, including difficulties in obtaining financing for operations and future growth; 14) You should conduct an investigation of the innumerable risks that are inherent or present in the business plan of almost any penny stock issuer; therefore, do not use our profiles or any information contained in our website or profiles as the sole determination of making an investment decision; 15) We only present positive information regarding an issuer; therefore, you should conduct an in-depth investigation of any possible negative factors regarding such issuer; 16) You should accept our information in an "as is" state; in other words, your use of the information is at your own risk and such information may change at anytime and it is not based upon any verification or due diligence of the statements made; 17) We state that many of the stocks we profile are consistent with the future economic trends we discuss; however, future economic trends or analysis has its own limitations, including: (a) due to the complexity of economic analysis as well as the individual financial and operational characteristics of an individual issuer, such economic trends or predictions may amount to nothing more then speculation; (b) consumers, producers, investors, borrowers, lenders and government may react in unforeseen ways and be affected by behavioral biases; (c) human and social factors may outweigh future economic trends and predictions that we state may or will occur; (d) clear cut economic predictions have their limitations in that they do not account for the fundamental uncertainty in economic life, as well as ordinary life; (e) economic trends may be disrupted by sudden jumps, disruptions or other factors that are not accounted for in such economic trends analysis; in other words, past or present data predicting future economic trends may become irrelevant in light of fully new circumstances and situations in which uncertainty becomes reality rather then of predictive economic quality; or (f) if the trends involves a single result, it ignores all other scenarios that may be crucial to make a decision in the event of various contingencies; 18) The information we disseminate about issuers contain forward looking statements, i.e. statements or discussions that constitute predictions, expectations, beliefs, plans, estimates, projections as indicated by such words as "expects", "will", "anticipates", "estimates; therefore, you should proceed with extreme caution in relying upon such statements and conduct a full investigation into any such forward looking statements; 19) Forward looking statements are limited to the time period in which they are made and we do not undertake to update forward looking statements that may change at anytime; and 20) We make statements in our profiles that an issuer's stock price has increased over a certain period of time since our publication of information about an issuer because such stock price reflects only an arbitrary period of time, it is of no predictive or analytical quality and you should not use any such information in your analysis of any such issuer; Compensation Disclosure: Lake Group Media paid us fifty thousand dollars in connection with distribution services for Brazil Resources, this agreement has since expired. Currently we are in a one year agreement with Lake Group Media to provide distribution services for Brazil Resources for a total of one hundred and eighteen thousand dollars, with an upfront payment of thirty thousand dollars and eight thousand dollars per month for eleven months. We have also signed a one year investor relations agreement directly with Brazil Resources to provide investor relations services to Brazil Resources, pursuant to which we will receive stock options to acquire one hundred thousand Brazil Resources common shares with an exercise price of ninety cents per share. Our services include coverage on our websites FutureMoneyTrends.com, CrushTheStreet.com, and ResourceTimes.com.

Congrats to both satoshiDICE and MPEX!

In a year through, the world of bitcoin is probably going to be massively different from what it is today.
6904  Economy / Games and rounds / The "post your satoshiDICE profit/loss" thread. on: January 25, 2013, 11:52:17 AM
Post your satoshiDICE stats here. Blockchain.info has a really useful utility that will show you how much you won or lost on sdice, you can just import the private keys to their wallet to see the data.

My stats:

Some comments more helpful than MPOE-PR's response:

1. I do not like "Owner and His bonus", " Close DateTime ", " Owner's fee ".. what are they?

2. You are entering the bet market which is heavily occupied by Betsofbitco.in and Bitbet.us. No, you are not going to have any luck. As you've already developed it, you might want to localize and tailor it to the Japanese / Chinese / Asian market. Might have some luck there Smiley

3. Other than that, don't expect any success.
6906  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2 BTC - 12 Days on: January 25, 2013, 09:35:12 AM
Principal + interest repaid in full.

I was obviously significantly worried but I'm glad DPony13 has repaid the loan. Thank you!
6907  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BITINVEST - Transparent low risk investment bond on: January 25, 2013, 09:22:49 AM
Thanks to everyone who has invested into this fund! As we manage more coins, we're also diversifying them through more assets and channels.

But one interesting thing is that BTCINVEST has MORE volume than all assets on btct.co combined Smiley

Hmm... btct.co volume is definitely nothing "wow", (heh, I think MPEx did like 75,000 BTC the other day!) but with the exception of the IPO Jan 12 at 52.7 BTC, I'm not really seeing where you get that?  30d average right now on btct.co is ~66 BTC/day.

Cheers.

I used the 24 hr average Smiley

The 24hr average was ~28 BTC when I last checked. MPEX is definitely the king through, but for the past few days btct.co volume has being consistently in the high 20s to low 30s..

Cool, I'll have to watch it more closely.  Though with regard to the last few days... I just added the exchange volume display ~24 hours ago.  Wink

Code:

new site volume on index page

I was keeping track of the volume on different exchanges and just added up 24 hr vol for each asset Smiley

The site volume display is pretty cool through, gives you the volume right at the home page!

6909  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino! New name, new game! Blackjack is here! [UPDATED 1/24/2013] on: January 25, 2013, 08:55:31 AM
Couple updates:

1. We placed a link to the blackjack rules in effect on the left sidebar.

2. Sorry, TradeFortress!  Unfortunately, LUCKY 7's only played with the first three cards. Check out the help page for clarity.  We'll be expanding this in the future to explain in more detail.

3. We fixed autoplay to not pop up that crazy deposit dialog when you run low on credits!

4. We also fixed the credit display when getting a Blackjack.  It used to take a while before the credits would update. That's fixed!

Maybe I got the maths wrong (but I don't think so).  Maybe I misunderstood what "two 7's" means (but http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/appendix/8/#supersevens seems to confirm it's the first 2 cards that count).  Or maybe the payout just sucks (until the progressive gets very very high).

This is correct when you don't consider the jackpot, ~65% EV.  However, we put 99.5% of the side bet back into the Jackpot, so the jackpot is not only growing with each Blackjack hand played, but also the majority of the side bet money goes into the Jackpot and is eventually returned to the players.

FWIW, the EV crosses 100% around 70 BTC, if my math is right:)

And just to be clear (I apologize that it's not so clear on the web site right now!): it's only your first three cards that matter.  Even if you split, we check the first three cards.  So feel free to split 7-7, if you want, without fear of losing any jackpot prizes:)

First three cards? It is the first three cards.. or do you mean the first two cards?
6910  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] SILVER - Launched! on: January 25, 2013, 06:32:29 AM
Silver has been LAUNCHED!

Welcome to the launch party. I will be looking around in the next few days for community websites to advertise on. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I will of course be advertising here on bitcointalk.org, and I will be paying for the first round of ads out of my own pocket.

I have 14 oz. of silver on my desk which I will use as an initial stock for 140 shares (http://kongzi.ca/silver). Our advisor will be given this information shortly.

Initial financial data which I am using is as follows:
S = Spot price is $31.66 from kitco.com
S+P = $33.25 from store.firstmajestic.com
MTGOX weighted average price $17.31682

This implies the cost to order silver bullion is 1.92btc/oz. After a small markup for trading fees, exchange fees, secure storage, etc. I think I can peg the market around 0.21 to 0.22/share at current silver prices. Keep your eye on the silver price! I will be using the following formula to come up with an approximate price and then adjusting slightly to meet demand:

[(S+P) / MtGox Weighted Avg.] + ~7%

Additionally I have launched with 10 shares available at 0.20/share and 10 shares issued at 0.192/share. This is a one time offer. We can't keep selling shares at spot or I won't be able to afford secure storage.

I am open to any comments on this pricing mechanism. I will attempt to analyze the demand and offer shares at a higher or lower price depending on demand (but not so cheap as we lose money).

And something else which I will say precisely once. Thank you to the community for giving me another chance. And now, it's party time! *cuts the red ribbon*
It's not enabled at the moment? I don't see it in the asset lists.
6911  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Video Casino! New name, new game! Blackjack is here! [UPDATED 1/24/2013] on: January 25, 2013, 06:08:44 AM
Got two sevens, did not get the 50 credit same suit bonus..

http://imgur.com/MlGynWF

I expect the 2-card outcomes refer to your first two cards only, though it would be better if that was made explicit.
Hmm, it said "First card 7" and then "Two 7's" so yeah it's a bit confusing.
6912  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: satoshi dice lol on: January 25, 2013, 05:19:40 AM
This has to be the most obvious place not to gamble at, because they put the odds right in front of your face. I did 4-5 bets then quit because the payouts were so low for the amount of risk.

Just think, the amount of coins you'll have to risk to amount to that of the amount of coins you'll lose would take foreverrrr playing safe. AND just take one loss will automatically screw you over, so playing the lesser odds is actually worse in the long run because even though it's 3% you'll risk 300BTC every time to get $13 (or something like that). So you'd have to play a couple hundred times to amount to the money you'd lose during that time. So I'm pretty sure that means you have a 6% chance at losing your 300BTC before you make that amount of money back that you'd lose.

Odds are right in front of your face though, it's better to play games like Blackjack where you at least have a tiny bit of say in what the outcome is. All gambling is, is the house vs. you, and in the end the house always wins no matter what, or else they wouldn't be in business.
1.9% is far lower than most blackjack, roulette, lotto, etc games.

Actually as an aside GLBSE was about to implement a newswire for it's securities, and this is one area where BitFunder is clearly ahead of the competition. It has a newswire. It is for reasons like this that I've chosen to list my securities exclusively on BitFunder. I feel it keeps issuers honest. If something were to happen to a security on BitFunder and the issuer didn't disclose it, it would be tantamount to fraud. I know it's not seen that way now, but it will be soon. There needs to be a newswire for any exchange IMO.

Absolutely.. Don't forget that some people don't check bitcointalk.org frequently.
