701  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: November 01, 2019, 08:14:40 AM
Therefore, it cannot be said that fiat is already outdated, it should be changed to other financial systems.
If your governing body comes up with good projects that could boost the economy rather than increase the inflation rate and have the right policies to balance the inflation then there is nothing to worry, i am not expecting any major changes in any financial systems and we are not going back to the gold standard we had in the past but as long as there are no stupid economic policies the fiat system will be fine.
702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you interested in having a prepaid card? on: November 01, 2019, 06:45:36 AM
Guys, we will be launching a prepaid card in November/early December in the EU. It will be linked to the user's Bitvalex account and will allow spending cryptocurrencies without the necessity of having a bank account. Basically, we were wondering what is the % of people that would be interested in having one?
I am already using a prepaid card from Xapo and if you are able to come up with a prepaid card with decent fees then you will get more customers, i have not used your site and when you come up with the card and if there are good reviews then i will definitely use your card, there are some merchants that already provide prepaid cards but we like to have more options to choose.

Where do you see the fees? I can't find them anywhere on their site. If you need to log in, does it say anything about currency conversion fees?
This is the Faq : https://bitvalex.com/faq/fees

here is the debit card fees : https://bitvalex.com/service/prepaid-debit-card

You do not need to log in to see their fee structure.
703  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I am facing some issue with Xapo wallet while withdrawing funds on: November 01, 2019, 05:11:05 AM
I already verified my account a long back to avoid these sort of issues in the future but after trying to move my coins for a long time i found the screen once again to verify my account.
You verified your account and still they are asking you to verify once again  Roll Eyes. I do not think they have a live support to assist you, i have not seen this complaint elsewhere about any service asking you to verify the account once again, not sure whether they have updated their policy and wanted to go through every verified profiles once again.

Xapo is having these issues for a long time and their support system sucks and this is the first case i am seeing Xapo blocking a verified account.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: October 31, 2019, 07:18:33 PM
Because people who join the ponzi scheme or HYIPs only think of ways to get a lot of money quickly without thinking about risks such as scams, so many people complain when they know ponzi or HYIPs are scam. And always be careful invest in crypto
If people think of investing money in shitty ponzi and HYIP schemes thinking of making money then they are aware of the risk involved too as there is nothing that will last for a long period of time but all the scams in the market are not about HYIP and ponzi but majority invest when they see a good project but what happens is that they will have a prototype and nothing else and they will not develop the end product and the project dies and that is what we see often.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: October 31, 2019, 07:06:15 PM
I am using bitcoin for commerce for a very long time as majority of the merchants are accepting bitcoin here in my country and i am not sure about the rest of the world but i am using bitcoin to purchase products for a very long time and some of the retail outlets are also accepting bitcoin and Newegg is a major player that accepts bitcoin and i have purchased a lot of products from them with ease.
706  Economy / Speculation / Re: 20K by March, A positive Look at the market. on: October 31, 2019, 06:09:38 PM
20k$ by march seems optimistic in my opinion but I can see it happen as the charts you've mentioned really look solid and with some evidence to cover your statement. So until next halv we will have Bitcoin ~20k$ followed by a small dip and a projection towards 30k$+ after. What about 2021 ? If 2020 will bring Bitcoin over 20k$ , then 2021 will put it over 60k$ if the price continues to rise at those levels. Time to buy more bitcoin I guess <3
We can predict all the price and have an optimistic view on the market but the reality will be different, i am bullish on the bitcoin market in the long run but i am not expecting any big returns in the short term, there are many factors that will push the price to new levels and if you take a look at the past historical price after halving we usually see the rally but this time there are regulations in the horizon and all these factors will have an impact on the market.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: October 31, 2019, 05:10:04 PM
It seems to me that over time, banks will simply work directly with cryptocurrency. Already today, many banks practice this. Depends on regulators. The faster cryptocurrencies approve, the faster banks will be able to process cryptocurrencies.
It is highly unlikely that any bank will be incorporating any crypto currency with their banking process but if they accept all the regulated exchanges to  transfer money to and fro and if they allow that then that will be the greatest thing that these banking sector can do, for me it is not a big hurdle as many of the exchanges accept USD but that is not the case with the rest of the countries and hopefully that will change in the future.
708  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: October 31, 2019, 04:08:19 PM
I used to have diversified portfolio back in 2017 and 2018 first half with a combination of large and mid cap altcoins along with Bitcoin. But that's no longer a case because market has shifted dynamics.
This is exactly the case with everyone in this market, everyone was diversifying their assets to different coins and tokens in the market and those who sold the coins when the market went high escaped the bear the market and those who hold on to the assets suffered the most as majority will not even rise again, i am holding bitcoin and all the fork coins that came with it as i am holding for a long period of time and i never invested in BCH or BSV or other forks but i am still holding all those coins.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: October 31, 2019, 02:29:49 PM
A gambler should understand these are the basic techniques while gambling, luck is the most important factor which we should control our emotions. Even I have gone through many YouTube video's which most of the people are giving their experience towards gambling. Even I will not recommend gambling to anyone.
If you consider gambling as fun to wage some amount for a limited period of time and not focused on the amount you are going to win then there is no harm in it but once you consider making a profit through gambling that is what fucks you up and your bank balance and you cannot recommend gambling to anyone, if you are a good poker player then you can try that but the rest are just luck.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: October 31, 2019, 12:42:59 PM
Honestly, I don't even know all these celebrities. And to his surprise again, it turns out that there are gamblers from celebrities who are aggressive in playing gambling. Are only 4 celebrities mentioned @OP who play gambling?
These are just a few celebrities who had major issues that are public, one was a world renowned boxer who made billions in his fighting career and next one is another legendary basketball player and the other two are famous Hollywood actors, it is not a big secret that people with money used to gamble and people involved in sports and entertainment tend to make a lot of money than the rest of the people and are celebrities and you will find the news covering these things. Wink

712  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Whales Are Selling BTC Before Market Crash: Peter Schiff on: October 30, 2019, 05:40:11 PM
Since 2011 I've heard the same goddamn argument about the precious metals market.  Everything is being manipulated, blah blah blah.  And exactly how these "deep-pocketed whales" do the manipulation, or why, or who they are will always remain a mystery--just like any BS conspiracy theory.
The whales in the market is a mystery that no one can figure out and you will hear about them only when you see a massive rally or correction in the market and yet no one can figure out the so called ghosts in the market  Cheesy. Everyone likes a good conspiracy theory and the flash market movement are still a mystery and during those time the magical whales will be blamed for the movement because it is impossible to figure out the real reason Grin.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price? on: October 30, 2019, 05:15:13 PM
CZ Binance sent an interesting Tweet block about that
CZ might have made a lot of money by investing in bitcoin and he went all in investing in bitcoin selling his house and now he is running a billion dollar company, it is a dream come true for everyone who is looking up to his profits and how he made his money and i am sure there are many who trusted bitcoin and went all in in the past.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to get back into mining? on: October 30, 2019, 04:29:16 PM
Read our article about Ethereum mining, and also you can familiarize yourself with our other articles, there we offer a solution.Subscribe and stay tuned.
It is a beautiful post and it clearly states the flaws in ETH a made up currency with no limit on the number of coins in circulation and there is no plan in limiting anything and they are following the fiat model and people should trust ETH  Roll Eyes. Majority of the investors in the bitcoin market got attracted because of the stupid government control and to get rid of that and now ETH is creating a currency that copies the fiat model and i call it a scam coin  Tongue.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 30, 2019, 03:56:53 PM
Should we be disciplined in gambling, does it mean that we are better at gambling, or that we put less money at stake with more enjoyment, less fear, adrenaline, etc. ?
When we implement morality and other stuff for your kids you will teach them the qualities of life and discipline means you live a pious life without hurting anyone and have a good life but what is discipline when it comes to gambling the only thing that comes to mind is never to gamble with the money you cannot afford and there are many assholes who take a loan and gamble the money.
716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where will this fluctuation end ? on: October 30, 2019, 01:54:35 PM
the fluctuation never end because halving comming . i predict that price bitcoin will rise up 20000 usd per btc before halving; price can stable above 13000 after some wreks or some days .
this recent move will not stop i think till another high price of bitcoin in history
Anyone can predict the price of bitcoin reaching the all time high valuation before halving or to reach a million or a billion dollars but there are some things that needs to make sense for all these rallies, you need to have some sort of realistic usage for everyone to value the coin and if that happens then the price would increase like you said but the rest are just speculation that the price would reach those valuation and it has nothing to do with the reality  Tongue.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: October 30, 2019, 12:24:21 PM
Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  Tongue
If you were able to earn half a million dollars in the past five years it is not a bad job you are doing continue that work for the next five years and wait for the price of bitcoin to rally once again and access the situation and trade accordingly, it all depends upon your comfort on what to invest with the money you have but you can wait a couple of years and see how the market will be at that stage and keep on working till that time rather than looking for an early retirement.
718  Economy / Speculation / Re: I wan't to believe on: October 30, 2019, 09:31:27 AM
I remembered that I read Some of the articles, just forgot to save the link in which is someone saying like this,
"the bottom was December 15 2018, just look at the charts. We are in the bull market, We are currently in the last 3 months
of accumulation stage. After that We will slowly rise and rise. Then We will boom, Screen cap this
October 2019    -  BTC16,000$
According to them this will be a 1.5 trillions in market cap.
The dominance of bitcoin will only be 40%-46%
Does the chart never lie? Just trying to get your opinion on this matter.
Now you have a clear answer whether the chart you are having is accurate or not  Tongue. If you want to have a consistency in the chart you are preparing you need to have good volume of data to have a probable market situation and that too you cannot claim that to be an accurate assessment and that is not the situation here as there is no way you can get data for more than ten years and that is not sufficient to get a good analysis of the market.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: October 30, 2019, 06:58:41 AM
I personally think Ethereum will outshine Bitcoin but trust will always be valuable. All Bitcoin is to me is a newly discovered source of trust.
If you think that a coin created to make unlimited useless tokens by anyone has the potential to outshine bitcoin Roll Eyes. People consider ETH as the father of scams as billions of dollars are lost because of scummy projects created with the help of ETH token platform and now their network is congested and the transaction fees are higher than usual and on top of that there is no set limitation in the number of coins in the market and i am surprised that the valuation is so high even at this stage.
720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: October 29, 2019, 06:35:07 PM
It's easy to say IF you are trading and of course traders do always reacts to the market price. Traders are merely getting any tips for making profit that's why making your own speculation and price chart helps you to attain that profit you want. Traders will always react to the market specially if there is a new price rally again. Fluctuations is normal in this market specially if this is an open market.
Since the market is relatively new you cannot expect any experts in the market to give any trading tips and there is nothing you can relate to like the rest of the financial market since it is not constraint to a single economic situation and it is really difficult to predict the global investment patterns that easily and i consider this as the difference between the bitcoin market and the rest of the market and that is giving people like me the motivation to trust this market.
