701  Economy / Gambling / Re: ROLR.IO 🎲 | The World's Private Casino 🎰 on: October 30, 2023, 04:54:06 PM

I'd like to clarify that at our casino, more then 99% of our players undergo only the Simple KYC. We only request standard or enhanced KYC when there's evidence of fraudulent or suspicious activity.

I expected a clear-cut answer instead of some twisting answer regarding the KYC requirement to withdraw.

After reading the review you linked it seems no KYC documents are required to withdraw as well unless the casino feels something suspicious and please make it clear my understanding is right regarding your KYC requirements.
702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Promotions Poll on: October 30, 2023, 02:45:28 PM
Honestly, I am never attracted to bonuses in any way and sometimes I felt the wagering requirements to collect/claim bonuses are insane so I just go with what I want to bet and am happy to collect if anything falls on its own apart from that I am never deposited such amount to claim deposit bonus or bet any amount to be in the leaderboard rewards and so on.
703  Economy / Gambling / Re: ROLR.IO 🎲 | The World's Private Casino 🎰 on: October 29, 2023, 05:59:23 PM
If we do tend to look back on previous page on which there that level of KYC or informations been asked depending
It seems they changed their wagering requirements to claim a bonus because I can't find 40x at the moment.

But I meant information regarding whether we can withdraw or not without providing residence and other KYC details because they mentioned you can continue the service after providing these details and I can't find relevant information on any other page.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I, we, run a bitcoin node? on: October 29, 2023, 05:54:30 PM

Why use TOR for a Bitcoin node?

For enhanced privacy, when you are connected to other nodes your IP will be exposed which can be a threat to your privacy.

But there are no direct advantages.  No minor amount of Satoshis seem gained, meaning no financial gain.  The disadvantage is the cost of the computer and storage space, and the cost of electricity and cost to cool my house.

There is no financial gain but you can't say there is no direct advantage while running your own node, cause you don't need to rely to 3rd party to validate your transaction. Also when you run your own node the privacy of the address and transaction history seems to be more valuable than few sats.

prevent a 51% attack.

AFAIK, nodes have no role in the 51% attack, and it's completely related to the hash rates of miners which confimrs the transactions but nodes have the ability to validate which makes high decentralized when the number of running nodes is higher.
705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Samourai wallet question on: October 29, 2023, 03:41:50 PM
I am using Android 13 but the phone is only support app twin for social media sites like Facebook, Twitter...

But the phone is having a better feature in a way that you can have multiple users. With multiple users, you can have another user or more with different contacts, files and others apps included just like new phone. With it I can run Samourai as a new app like a new phone but on the same old phone.

I just ask this question to know how true it is that Samourai is not having a way of creating more than one wallet.

If I am not wrong you can clone any app using app clone and if it's not possible via the default clone app from the device manufacturer then try using ones from the Play Store.

I am aware of the Samourai wallet but never used it, so now only realize they don't support multiple wallet creation like Electrum and other wallets but its a wallet for advanced users and has a lot of privacy features.

Additional fact you can try stealth mode.

Quote
When this feature is enabled, the shortcut icon completely disappears from the phones home screen, app lists, recent apps list, or launcher. You could search the entire phone and the Samourai app is nowhere to be found. The only way to access the app is to dial your PIN into the phone pad as if you were dialing a number to call. In doing this, the Samourai app will launch making is accessible to you.

706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 29, 2023, 07:56:45 AM

What do you think, if I have millions I will be satisfied betting thousands of dollars for fear of addiction that will lead to losing my fortune, but I really don't know if I will reach that level of having millions and still be moderate in gambling.

If you have millions then losing even a few hundred thousand won't hurt you financially but the question about satisfying the urge is subject to every individual. I won't be a high roller even if I have money to bet high roller cause I feel it may induce that habit which could become dangerous financially, so I will be keeping my gambling activities moderate.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anti-Gambling Tools on: October 29, 2023, 04:29:06 AM
So, here's the deal. I've been into crypto gambling, and I've realized that, despite my best intentions, it's a bit tough to control the urge. I've tried the self-exclusion route in the past, but it seems some crypto casinos still find a way to let me back in.

I know I've got an issue, and I've accepted that. Now, my goal is to manage it better and avoid any unnecessary damage to my finances.

I'm curious if any of you have faced a similar situation and if there are tools or methods you've found effective in controlling crypto gambling. It feels like most platforms lack daily limits or deposit controls, making it a bit challenging to stay on track.

Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from those who've been through something similar.

What you are referring is signs of addiction which definitely need a medical expert's help or a support group to get over it. As a start, you can share the issue with your family so that you they will be aware of what you are going through and it helps if things gets out of your hands at any point.

Also, you should be confident with your decision, simply you want to stop gambling but you are actions are the exact opposite then there is no use in it.
708  Economy / Gambling / Re: ROLR.IO 🎲 | The World's Private Casino 🎰 on: October 28, 2023, 06:50:35 PM

In your casino people can deposit, play and make withdrawals without needing to go through KYC, this means that people will do KYC only in cases where the casino team suspects that the funds to play come from criminal activities.

I just wnet thorugh their KYC\AML policies and ToS as well but the things were unclear regarding this.

They mentioned they seek email and Password for KYC bt need to provide residence and an actual KYC to use their service which means in my understanding if the user wants to withdraw then they need to be KYCed just like every other casino but they don't claim themselves as private like here.

I expect more details about the KYC requirements for withdrawal.
709  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: getaddressbalance is not accurate ? on: October 28, 2023, 05:51:11 PM
I don't understand Electrum decision to exclude P2PK balances from the address balance!

No one really uses it anymore so they didn't want to add that feature that no one will ever use it anymore. But if you are someone you can create a script to broadcast P2PK transactions via Electrum too.

You can find the relevant discussion about Electrum can't handle "send to pubkey" inputs created by LoyceV

Or better go with Bitcoin core which supports P2PK and every available kind and it definitely worth it if you want to spend your 30BTC. Wink
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mempool pool unmined transaction on: October 28, 2023, 04:17:38 PM
When a memory pool pending transaction isn't picked up by any miner it's beign sent back after 48 days at most ,
The transaction from the network will be dropped in 14 days not 48 as far as I know, other possible factors due to very low fee that is below the purging level, and once every node drops then it will be dropped from the network even before 14 days or the network may stay forever if your wallet keeps rebroadcasting the transaction with the same fee which is not enough to get into a block but above the minimum fee.

why don't it just get pushed for a miner instead ??  since it will still be resent again and a miner will definitely  mine it

Miners always prioritize the TX with higher fees to maximize their revenue so this restricts the TX with low fee stays in the network in the queue of unconfirmed TX. It doesn't seem logical to pick the TXs with lowers fees by miners unless they really want to. So the only way to make possible your proposal is to set up a pool and only include the TX with a low fee.

is it just to ease the stress of Sender client from worrying about his sent Btc.

The TX status will remain the same as long as they are sent with the same fee so it's the responsibility of the sender to increase the TX fee if they want their TX to get confirmed faster.

They can increase the fee using Replace-By-Fee (RBF) or Child-Pays-For-Parent (CPFP) even if they transacted with a low fee accidentally.

711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what are the reputable casino with vault feature? on: October 28, 2023, 03:32:16 PM
I don't remember any casino which which encouraged their users to use their account for storing purpose and vault represent the entire cold storage if I am not wrong so it can be considered an individual gambling account cause its just a database with number reflected according to the balance on the wallet not really the account is used as cold storage in any means.

Casinos discourage users to use casino from storing cryptos by enforcing wagering requirements for withdrawal so once someone deposits x sum in a casino they can't request x to be withdrawn unless they involve the funds with any wagering at least 1x.
Using a casino in such a way seems like a bad idea and I doubt that even casinos themselves want for this to happen, as they do not want a bunch of coins being stored with them without moving or doing anything, what they want is for people to gamble that money and storing it that way goes against their interests, besides it does not make a lot of sense when it comes to their clients either, as if they want to store their coins safely, why they do not just buy a hardware wallet and be done with it?

vault feature is to protect the bankroll and transaction fee. means i deposited $100 then I will keep $80 in my vault that casino provide, because i will deposit $20 three times the i will need to pay 5x fee to transfer 20-20 five times. and this is not bad for casinos, they add this feature in their casino so the users deposit more money then they usually play with and lose their emotional control, and wager or bust all money along with bankroll and the money stored in their vault. so it is good for casino if the player is unable to control when he lost those $20, he will deposit the remaining $80 in vault and lose it all in last.

So you are talking about wallet, since vault is generally used to term cold storage, and in casinos, there is no such term in practice. Of course, you can deposit 5x the amount that you wanted to deposit but the security of the funds is the same as of funds deposited to exchange wallet or generally in hot wallet.

But the wagering requirements are another catch with casino, you deposit $100 and only want to gamble with $20 and decides to withdraw the remaining $80 then most casinos won't allow it due to the wagering requirements.

712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 27, 2023, 08:30:47 PM
With the recent happening as related to phishing, and hacks of accounts a lot of awareness has to be created around the gambling community most especially,  in the area of security and safety of accounts.

This has led me to desire to know the community,  reaction on this subject matter of user login details being frequently asked by a casino,  do you feel safe to see a casino asking you for user name,  or phone number and password each time you open the site in your browser.

To me, a session n n should last until the gamblers close the browser instead of being online and when you want to backspace or check out some feature outside your current mode the prompt for a new login comes up.

I feel unsafe with this and I have avoided the casino,  but that is just my thought but it be nice if I had your views on this.

Are you positive or negative on casinos asking for log-in frequently or do you feel unsafe in putting your login details every time?

Asking to log every time is actually a good thing from a security perspective and if you feel its a threat to it then its time to increase your cyber internet knowledge. And FYI casinos already have your login details but in encrypted form so even if their database leaked then its unlikely the account can be logged in using those encrypted credentials.

That is why in recent days hackers targeted cookies and tokens from your browser cache so they can simply use it to log in from somewhere and it will be valid if the site allows always log-in feature.
713  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: October 27, 2023, 06:51:25 PM
Presently, should we say it's good the way bitcoin its been tied to dollars? Dollars is not backed up with any resources but to my understanding, bitcoin is a product of great energy surge. We shouldn't let bitcoin tied to dollars but bitcoin standing on its own. What could decide the durability and value of bitcoin? I have some ideas..
Bitcoin isn't backed by Dollar or any asset, its just people use it to get the value based on fiat.

The actual value of bitcoin lies on the demand and supply, just like gold and every other real asset whereas fiat doesn't hold any value but just a promise from your central banks that this paper holds the promised value.
714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: UTXO Management Best Practices on: October 27, 2023, 05:20:35 PM
I was simply wondering if there is a general idea of how large a UTXO should be.
UTXO can hold any amount of bitcoin, if you say 10 BTC then clearly you can fit 10 BTCs into one UTXO by consolidating it and it can be cheaper to transact compared to two 5 BTC UTXOs.

How large it should be depends on your preference, for example, if you are going to hold it for the long term and will sell all 10BTC at once when the desired price reached then holding it in one address is the wise choice but if you are someone who wants to spend BTC for purchases then don't hold more than 1 BTC in my opinion or the receiver can find how much your balance.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 27, 2023, 03:49:37 PM
Self Exclusion, Block your credit/debit cards, Lock your crypto funds then you won't be able to fund your bets but these things can work only if the user is really trying hard to quit but the person who are highly addicted and needs the medical treatment then these kind of remedies will not be effective at all.
There are numerous free rehab centers and support groups for some low-income individuals which may help since there’s plenty of support and understanding available for them. Also, one thing that I know that consider as an effective solution is the advice from your family and loved ones. If a gambler wants to stop gambling but are having a hard time, I suggest them to consider seeking help from a mental health professional. To avoid a relapse and focus on building coping skills, it’s important to commit to quitting gambling completely.
If I am not wrong OP seeking alternatives from medical help because it can be expensive and also the rehab is suggested already so I said the other few alternatives which can be just in the next minutes from where we are. But I am not going to agree that one person who is capable of spending money on gambling which should be too much to get seriously addicted but can't able to do for medical help?

Which itself seems to be an excuse to avoid medical help and continue to gamble.

717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stainless steel or Titanium on: October 26, 2023, 06:24:01 PM
Printing over Titanium and Tungsten metal is highly challenging and requires special tools compared to Stainless steel but in terms of cost, both stainless steel and titanium can be in the same range while Tungsten will at least double the amount over the two.

The availability of the metal is the actual reason why many people recommend it but in my opinion, I will never prefer all of the above to print my seeds unless for experimental purposes.

718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Generally An Illicit Activity? on: October 26, 2023, 04:48:56 PM
The person who edited may see gambling in that way or he meant something but conveyed it differently due to not proper explanation.

There are two major types of casinos one is regulated and the other is unregulated so in case if someone is gambling and winning rewards then the tax may be deducted from the rewards which is common in fiat-based casinos or if its crypto casino then the reports will be submitted to IRS so user who won money from regulated casino pay taxes for their winnings.

But if the person won money from playing an unregulated casino then the user can hide that income but if he needs to use it for spending then he needs to launder in one or many ways to make it legal.

719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hacked assets are made re-usable? on: October 26, 2023, 03:16:03 PM

1. How are hacked crypto assets made re-usable?
2. Is tainted crypto a thing?
3. Is there any higher regulatory authority that monitors crypto related illegal activity?

1. There are many examples that you can find they used mixing services to get rid of their traces, apart from that they could be used for transactions in the darknet, or in some cases they will be left unused forever.

2. Not really, in my opinion as long as you obtain the funds in any way that is legally acceptable then you are not responsible for the previous history related to it.

3. Almost every government intelligence does that and not just crypto, they have to monitor all kind of transaction all the time.

Happy Birthday 8th year Bitvest!  Smiley
I thought 777 was the latter but now only I realize its the former and Bitvest came after.

Congratulations for your efforts to keep the casino alive in ups and downs and if I am not wrong the casino is in the business for two cycles and looks like the 3rd bull cycle is approaching.

The good thing is the promotion is back but needs to be more aggressive due to the competition in the market being a lot higher than in that era.
