Was your address in the top 100 list? Possible to track it that way. Sorry for your loss.
Possible 5.8 million dump on MintPal, Poloneix or Bttrex.
Thieves usually don't care for top dollar if they even know what a Whitecoin is or figure out how to sell them.
do you really think standard thieves know what is bitcoin of cryptomoney lol they don't give a shit about that they just think crack, drugs and how to go high ... so those coins are surely lost :/ They usually don't care. However data is recoverable even if wiped on a laptop. Thief would try to pawn it off at some shady location that doesn't ask too many questions.

My laptop with 5.8 million whitecoin was stolen today. I know it was the fuxking crack heads down the street. My hands hurt and my walls have 3 new holes. Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. Will definitely give this a shot when I have time. Yea that's probably easier than asking so many questions.

To sum it up: Let's fight like gentlemen!

Also I like MintPal's UI. It just looks so clean. They also donated 50K BC to our Coinkite cause. This is a very interesting situation since I'm sure MintPal doesn't want to get involved in the politics of this situation. Probably trying to figure out what to do since this is unprecedented.
I suspect they'll give us at least one BC pair. They've certainly heard from the community about it. You just replied to a spambot quoting me.

seems 12 hour will be popular. The payouts will be less, but more often and accurate to annual percent than the current model. Goal is same amount of coins produced per day, per block.
my opinion/thoughts: One flaw with all PoS coins is they all advertise X% annually, but after factoring in initial maturing time, stake time, then time to gain or regain stake weight (especially coins with max coin age if max reached and maintained) all weigh-in against that X%, because of lowered frequency of payouts. I understand as coins gain weight, the payout increases, but there is still the fact timings are never 100% efficient. So you really get X% minus variable of timings. Short stake time increases this efficiency equaling more accurate stake payouts.
Shorter stake times will allow for faster re-entry for gains of network weight, encouraging wallets to stay open 24/7, ensuring active nodes and encouraging ''stake hashes'' for half of 51% prevention, other half is maintaining 51% of currency which does not apply here. Shorter stake time, by my logic, improves speed of confirms too, for transactions.
Thoughts?
You're pretty much describing BC now aren't you? That has the fastest stake time of 8 hours to infinity unless my signature is wrong. no, im describing what was originally offered (Edit: from WC dev prelaunch up until now 28 day discovery). 12 hour stake time was what WC was supposed to be. You mean instead of the 15 days. Yes 12 hour would be better.

Hi. Sorry trying to catch up in this thread.
Will the Asset Exchange be fully automated exchange in terms of cryptocurrency?
I want LTC for USD or LTC for BTC?
From what I've read it works like Ripple but without Ripple tokens? Does this even use NXT?
I have asked James, the guy who runs the multisig subforum I Pm'd to you, to drop buy with an up to date and most accurate answer It is feasible to have tokens on the Asset Exchange directly for anything but trust in the issuer will be required. James' work is built on the asset exchange but he has been working on cross chain transactions so LTC/BTV might be available at launch or soon after. Have you read anything about InstantDEX yet? Thank you for this. I hate to be the guy who doesn't sift through all the info for answers. But I'm trying at least! :/ No problem! How goes it in the BC thread? Has there been any of the planned super secret features announced yet? Snoekip and Rat4 might do something (they are unknown quantities to me) but that dzirberm (sorry for spellings) is just blowing smoke If they do launch anything, they will be paying catch up But let me know if/when anything big comes out. You should read about the monetary system on nxtforum, coins can be based on the Nxt platform too. I'll stop rambling but BC could basically be secured by Nxts blockchain as well as any other crypto. Then the inflation wouldn't be needed as an incentive to stake (known as forging in these parts ). We were the sponsor of Dogecoin. But it's fun things like that I love about BC. I don't think anything "big" in terms of what NXT is doing. BC is heading a different direction focusing on awareness, merchants, and exchanges. But I wouldn't be surprised if rat4 or "I forget his name" so I'll call him Community Manager or up to something. And then of course there's Iconic. I think a lot of people secretly love his "gray area" tactics but don't want to say on forum. He's our wildcard. Apparently having higher inflation is the "newest" thing. BC 1%, WC 2%, Yellowcoin & Cinni 3.5%, I think Bluecoin 3%. I just let those groups argue what is better. Right now I'm spending most of my effort figuring out what the hell to do with my WC investment. Thanks James While I am here, for anyone wondering what Asset Exchange will do, here is a real world plan for once it is launched Here's a small example just using NXT from my own industry (software development). I am an independent software developer and I plan to use the NXT asset exchange (currently in development) to issue software licenses as follows: [1] - a licensing component in the software makes a call to the NXT network and creates an account (instantaneous) [2] - it writes the private key to disk and informs the user of the account number [3] - the user purchases one license unit from the NXT asset exchange [4] - on a subsequent launch (or periodically) the software detects the presence of the appropriate asset in the account it created for itself and considers the installation licensed So NXT doesn't have to become the new bitcoin to become hugely valuable. It just has to capture a tiny part of some relatively tiny world markets for all sorts of applications to be massively in demand. NXT will be needed to: A. Issue the assets (Currently costs 1000 NXT per asset, but I don't know if there's a limit on the quantity you can issue) B. Pay for the assets TL:DR Software key issuance and management can be done on AE. Cheaply and securely. RE: asset quantities, the maximum Asset quantity that can be issued is 1 Billion. Disclaimer: My reading comprehension might be totally off today about the following questions. :/ Thanks for taking the time to do this, James. But what you said is like "Woosh" It's all too technical. So I buy 1 license for (1 NXT is $0.02) for $20? And where does this $20 go? Can these licenses be traded? Can it be refunded or parameters changed if no buyer matches? So then I have an asset license of "Selling 1 LTC for $20". Then I wait for a match. Is that automatic or do I have confirm manually later? Max Asset quantity 1 billion is per person? And it can be refilled to 1 billion?

Is all this negative Blackcoin talk FUD? Or is there something going on?
Sorry I just have a lot going on today and don't have time to sift through 50 pages.
I hope it's fake because I've always thought of Blackcoin to be the ultimate coin. Without a doubt at the very least surpassing Litecoin eventually.
actually there isn't much today.... just a few totally desperate WC scammers, bagholders and deluded supporters since their coin bombed and was revealed to be a complete scam. Is all this negative Blackcoin talk FUD? Or is there something going on?

Just your average high troll traffic day. Not much has changed. Monkeys flinging poo. I thought so. Wow it's crazy how delusional people can get when their money is on the line. Blackcoin is the future. Gazz1: Do you have more WC or BC in terms of USD value?

Ok fair enough. I just felt it should have started low. I'm waiting for something like 0.001.
But can you guys answer my questions about the Asset Exchange. Will the Asset Exchange be fully automated exchange in terms of cryptocurrency?

Man, those projects look amazing! One is free to hate NXT for whatever reason, but it is obvious that developments are coming, and they will be huge! I only hate NXT for their transaction fee. Even 0.1 is too high I think. This will be changed in about 15 days Then you can start loving it! What? I thought 0.1 was the new fee?

Summary of the Whitecoin disaster
- Dev has dumped his premined coins and abandoned the project - Proof of stake not working - Wallet broken, hard fork required, mintpal not accepting deposits - Price has bombed further - Anyone who bought in at 2000 has been screwed
Whitecoins reputation has been flushed down the toilet. GG it's a wrap.
That didn't take long. I hope other developers think twice before blatantly copying BlackCoin and the BlackCoin business model. IF you do your coin will be dead in a month.
And to the Mintpal team this is irony for adding WC to your exchange. WC was added by your choice and they didn't earn the right to be added. You added them out of simple greed, and this fiasco serves you right for blatantly spitting in this community's face. Not all money is "good" money. Sometimes you have to say no even if it means losing some revenue. Now please add a BC/Doge pair or soon this community will do our trading someplace else.I've been saying for awhile Mintpal spits in our faces. I would like us all to do business with them, but they must prove to us as a community we should do most our trading there after the flood of clones of BC they added, with premines and never earned anything. If BC was not a strong coin and community mintpals actions would have killed us. We should be upset about this, mintpal screwed us, but last laugh is we are still the strongest POS coin. Time we all email mintpal daily about BC trading pairs, and if they don't deliever sooner than later, we need to move our business to an exchange that will, should be hard to get another exchange to add BC trading pairs now. So mintpal if your listening, we are well aware of your screwing us, what are you going to do for us to continue trading there in mass to make up for your very greedy mistake? MintPal is a business. They're going to add whatever altcoin has high volume. Also I like MintPal's UI. It just looks so clean. They also donated 50K BC to our Coinkite cause. This is a very interesting situation since I'm sure MintPal doesn't want to get involved in the politics of this situation. Probably trying to figure out what to do since this is unprecedented.
