701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: May 30, 2017, 11:43:13 AM
I have an idea - I posted it in bitcointalk.org already ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926978.0 ), and I trying to act for this target with Lykke, but I become a message:

(...)

I would like to buy/sell CHF against Bitcoin at this time...
Can you help me?

Have you tried to logout and re-login again? That helped many who had this message first (including myself).

I tried logout and re-login. It don't helps. The dialog came after trying to buy CHF again...

Okay, please send a quick mail to support@lykke.com - usually they react fast.

I'll also post it on the team-slack. Are you on IOS or Android?

O. I will do it.
Android. Why?

Okay, hope they'll fix it soon. I asked for the for the OS, because there is an IOS- and an Android-Channel on their Slack. I'll also post it there - might speed it up a little (hopefully).

Edit: Damn, wouldn't have been necessary to ask --> screenshot. I need a coffee  Cheesy

Tempus, thanks you're being very helpful here  Grin

I was just wondering about the roadmap for Lykke. Looking at Trello, there is quite a lot of things listed for the near-term, do you think that will all realistically be done by the end of this year? I am really enthusiastic about the Lykke project and checking every day about anything that's going on, i guess that can make it like waiting for a kettle to boil!

The Trello-roadmap actually was an internal roadmap but Sergey gave me his ok to publish it. It's not totally set in stone but more dynamic. Especially time estimations may change, sometimes he moves something from near- to mid-term and the other way around for example (you can see changes by clicking on Menu - on the right side).

And history shows, not just in Lykke but in all ambitious Blockchain-projects, that delays are not that rare. With other words: Think of the roadmap as goals to reach and I have no doubt that those goals will be reached, but it's very hard or even impossible to think in fixed time-estimations. That's also a reason why there are no fixed dates - only near/mid/long-term. That gives some room. ;-)

But yes, I believe that "near-term" is achievable in within about few months. If not Sergey would move it to mid-term. He did that with P2P-Lending for example.

About time estimations (near-/mid-/long-term) he said this on Telegram:

"short term (in road map) indicates the tasks that are in development/deployment phase, eta typically 0-4 months; in 'mid-term' are the tasks that are on our todo list, eta 3-6 months; long-term are the projects that we envision, eta up to 12 months and longer"

This just appeared on my coinprism wallet balance can someone help me out in figuring what this is and why would someone send it to me?

came from this address.
https://www.coinprism.info/address/akH7gtLZYGEzJsG4V4is78BMBVY1dKZrZh4

The asset-ID is: AWm6LaxuJgUQqJ372qeiUxXhxRWTXfpzog

If you check that on the Lykke-Explorer it's USD: https://blockchainexplorer.lykke.com/asset/AWm6LaxuJgUQqJ372qeiUxXhxRWTXfpzog

It doesn't appear in your App, right? I think it has to do with Offchain-settlement.

Trading-Wallets on Lykke are multi-signature-wallets, and Offchain-settlement works that way that Lykke deposits funds into multi-signature-wallets of users (like it's also done on the Lightning-Network) to have a payment channel. Let's say you would sell Bitcoin for USD: because there already is USD on the multi-sig-wallet your new balance appears in seconds.

They're working on a new Explorer-release to differ the balance - to display offchaintransactions as well.

Edit: A FAQ about Offchain will be published soon.

Edit: Seems to be a coinprism-bug...
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (LKK) LYKKE speculation on: May 29, 2017, 06:45:23 PM
one thing is clear. the price won't jump up and down (pump and dump) when the token is not listed on exchanges.

a problem i have with lykke is: do you really don't need lkk to make a trade? if the answer is yes: how will the company make money the future?and why should anybody buy tokens/shares?

No, users don't need to buy into LKK to use Lykke and there is also no fee. So yes, it's of course a good question how they'll make money. The answer is: Lykke acts as marketmaker, is algodriven and makes money over the spread. You can think of that as kind of a dynamic fee, dependent on the market situation. Additionally Lykke will also become a platform for others to do crowdfundings, they plan to go into the payment direction pretty soon, over time it may even become a prediction platform.

Here is an answer of Richard Olsen on Reddit on a similar question:

"My apologies for the late response: yes, our business model is to earn money as a market maker. In this context I want to mention that we will create investment products, whichLykke customers can invest in. The funds of these investmetn products will be used for market making. If market making is done with our own funds, we earn 100% of the profits, whereas with the investment products Lykke earns the performance fee.
Lykke is on a rapid innovation path and we will release products that will be game changers for the industry: margin based trading across all asset classes on blockchain, boxoption - a highly intuitive tservice to trade short-term price moves, borrowing and lending service powered by a new securities lending model. We will offer these services fully regulated, which enables us to aggressivley market our services across the globe. The growh and profit potential for Lykke is huge."

I Just did a small bitcoin cashout to test out offchain etc.

Looks like there is now a bitcoin withdrawal network transaction fees for lykke. I figured this would happen sooner or later.

There was always a tx fee but lykke used to cover it.  Correct me if i am wrong.

Hmm... Just if I get it right: You did a withdrawal and you paid a fee?

Offchain is only for Lykke-internal transactions. But as far as I know there shouldn't be a fee "anywhere" - not internal and also no others.

Do you see that on the blockchain or didn't the full amount arrive on the receiving address?

I apologies it looks like it was coinbase mistake they for some reason gave me half of what i should have received i will have to email them. Everything good on lykke end Sorry guys

No need to apologize, no problem! Smiley

Is the offchainsettlement update complete and successful now?

As far as I understand, it's a like a step-by-step-rollout, that more and more users are taken into offchain. And yes, all seems fine so far.

Only issue I know and also experienced myself: first it gives the message "App version not supported. Please update."

Users need to log out and than to login again. That should solve the problem.

I am trying to transfer from "My private wallet" in lykke app some funds to my "trading wallet". It isn't succeeds. I become an error with "HOLD UP! We are experiencing technical problems. Please try again.". I would like to use Lykke, but I can't - because this issue. It is also not clear - where can I set up a transfer fee for bitcoin transfer... (( Without transfer fee isn't a safe to send bitcoins today... I think. )) Can you, please, help me?

I believe the "hold up - message" shows up when there is an overload. Lykke experiences a significantly increasing number of users and activity. That should hopefully be solved soon.

Fee: Lykke pays all fees. No need to worry about that.

Thank you. Good. I keep to try again and again. Maybe it helps after some times...

They're investigating. Most likely my guess it could be overload is wrong. Seems to be an issue when transferring from private to trading. Hope they'll have it fixed soon.

The issue remained. I can't move my funds between wallets. I tried to move to another wallet (to my safe mycellium), but I become some problem. Nothing works... I am waiting...

It is just succeeded... (the fund not arrived yet, but the start of the transfer was successfully)

Okay, glad to hear that! Smiley

Another user on reddit has (or hopefully also had) the same issue.

Lykke performing well in this crypto massacre

Yes, my theory is this: The rising Bitcoin price has lead many new people into the whole Crypto-space. And since Lykke is already usable with Fiat and also kind of easy, there is a good usergrowth during the last weeks. And once they are on Lykke many also buy into LKK.

It's easy to check btw: https://blockchainexplorer.lykke.com/asset/AXkedGbAH1XGDpAypVzA5eyjegX4FaCnvM

One can set a past-date and see how many Coinholders there were at that time.

Now: 2236

One month ago: 1600

That's an increase of about 40% in just 30 days, so it starts to grow exponential. And App-Downloads are more of course.

717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: May 25, 2017, 06:56:18 PM

I am amazed people can still not see that this coin has potential for a billion dollar market cap

has dBFT so it does not fork

Multi language programming ....It is a better version of ETH

And it is a Chinese coin.. Don't people realize the size of the market

A shit chinese coin like YBcoin has a 30 million market cap......And this actually has real world use

Jump on this train before it quickly leaves the station

You have to understand the Antshares team didn't post any updates for weeks. What they did was start developer training at the local (Shanghai) and grassroot levels. Only now did they push to share the coming platform. I bet they anticipate peer review of the live platform and from thereon, generate more developer interest in learning and using dBFT.

Antshares is also facing competitor like The Qtum Project, they will release the platform on September ,Dont know whether copy of Antshares or not but doing good already ,IOU Qtum now trading with 6 dollar value and Volume is $7,264,560 and if you compare the market cap with supply 100,000,000 then it comes  $ 600,000,000 ,which is in coinmarketcp number 8th place.

This is worth a read when it's about Qtum:

Qtum Controversy: Patrick Dai’s exit from Bitbay
https://www.smithandcrown.com/qtum-controversy-patrick-dais-exit-bitbay/

I planned to invest in it but that was enough for me to stay back. Maybe Qtum is a good project and will become a winner but I stay away whenever there are red flags like that.
