1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [FCT] FACTOM - HOW FACTOIDS WORK - PRICE SPECULATION on: October 11, 2016, 09:53:05 PM
Strap in.  Will be a fun next 4 months. See you all around xmas time Wink

I think the same. The next time until end of the year won't be boring. I believe it's a safe prediction. And the next year could be even much more exciting. Factom is a project like a catapult. Paul Snow once said about Factom in an interview: "It is going to surprise people (...) the delivery is going to shock people!" ;-)

It was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1noFK6M8ktU (somewhere at the very end)
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Pre-Launch Security Contest on: October 11, 2016, 09:47:52 PM
How do you take the antshares ICO address that shows your ANS and move it into your wallet?

When you bought into the ICO you've got 2 keys:

1. private key
2. public key - the address

Once they launch the main-net (next week) there also will be a GUI/wallet:

We are working on a HTML5 wallet, and it will probably be ready when mainnet launches. A HTML5 wallet is device/OS agnostic.

There will be a function to import your private key (just copy-paste or typing it in) and your ANS will show up. Most important: Private keys should be stored secure - nobody else should have access - and of course: They shouldn't ever get lost.

Hi, I have a question:

If the top 10 holders own 80% of the issuance of all the tokens, as will move the market if they decide not to sell the property they have? and if not sell those with less?

If the token is diluted by issuing more lykke token not believe that will disadvantage those holderstoken?

Good Lykke!

I don't know any details, but the top-holders are clearly the team, before all Richard Olsen, and the company, and most likely early investors who are supporters. They wouldn't ever dump and damage the market. For them Lykke is something they want to build over years and they want much more than just quick money. It's something I personally have zero doubts about. It's hard to trust in Crypto but this team can be trusted.

Regarding "issuing more LKK", the FAQ's can be helpful:

"Can the value of the coins be diluted?

Yes. At the moment, there are 12,856,900 shares of stock. The company issues new shares on occasion, usually to bring on new investors. Now that the company’s shares are publicly traded, the company will, in the future, set up a voting mechanism for existing coin holders to vote on matters like this. Be sure to see the Shareholder Memorandum for details."

https://lykke.com/city/blog/2016-10-05/lykke_ico_faq

They won't just make new coins out of thin air. And since they are shareholders themselves, they won't want anything that could lower the value  in general.

With other words: This is one of those projects, the team/founders and their investors, are clearly on the same side.

1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: October 11, 2016, 04:55:54 PM
Is there any specific date when the ICO coins will be sent out ?

If you buy, the LKK are sent right away into your wallet. Sometimes it can take a little bit longer because of the BTC-Blockchain: https://twitter.com/LykkeCity/status/785755823754674176

...but I believe it's faster again today. And incoming transactions are visible under "history" in the APP.

The ICO will end in about 5 hours and the market will take over right after. With other words: "Launch" will be today ;-)
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: October 11, 2016, 04:52:24 PM
11 hours to get $400K, do you think it will happen with the current transactions incoming?

if not you will refund money right away?

No, it's not about the question if all LKK will be sold out or not. What is not sold by end of the ICO will go back into treasury. The ICO is not even with a focus on money but more a first little step into the public at a fixed price.

But it looks like as if a lot of money is floating in at the very end. About 5 hours are left:

1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 11, 2016, 04:47:06 PM
I'm not mixing. I'm just saying CT is BS; and there's little to rejoice from a CT article

If you want to make the claim, what you already did: "a favourable article for Factom in CT is more a warning sign than anything else..."

...you should give additional arguments what exactly you believe to see as "warning sign". Just the fact that CT writes a positive article? Because: Others do as well! And a lot of media-site in Crypto also wrote positive articles about shady projects. But to mix that up with legit projects like Factom is nonsense. If there is there anything in that article you consider as wrong, just say it.

The fact that you use DeOS as an example to come up with such a conclusion says more about you than about Factom.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 11, 2016, 04:01:37 PM
the last blockchain that CoinTelegraph hyped was razormind's DeOS and it turned out to be a scam....

a favourable article for Factom in CT is more a warning sign than anything else...

Oh boy... Factom is around since some time now. You have proof that the team behind EXISTS because they speak with us, they speak with governments, they speak with institutions and companies, they give interviews - they deliver!

Please don't mix your own bad decisions (buying into DeOS) up with conclusions about Factom.

btw: I also recognized DeOS (their ICO and their HP etc.) and first I thought "oh, looks nice" but it just needed 1 google search to find out a lot of informations that I came to the conclusion 99% risk that it's a scam.

Great article:

Transparency missing from the suppliers of Capital to Fintechs

(...)

Richard Olsen, founder of Lykke and keynote speaker, jump started the Meetup with his vision of a global marketplace that will be feasible and necessary, once all assets are digitized. In such a world, fundraising will be:

  • Global – you wont have to move to the Londons or Palo Altos of the world.
  • Each stockholder will be an ambassador of your innovation proposition – as the roles of Customer and Capital suppliers, are fused.
  • The process – fundraising and business progress – will be monitored real time. As if you are watching how the fuel (capital) is consumed by the vehicle (the business) towards the business goal (arriving to the destination).

The chasm between current practices in the “Capital seeks innovation to invest” match-making business and the global marketplace that Richard Olsen is pushing for is huge. In that world, there will be no gatekeepers and there will be no costs for transactions. The value-add (for which profits will be made) will be in the investment strategy.

I think the lykke exchange not having bids and being match to any price near by, does not really excite me, testing the wallet tried a btc withdrawal and no luck for an hour, checked the btc explorer and did not see the transaction. an exchange of any kind needs to have trust..

The problems with BTC-transactions are not because of Lykke. Just see above, my last post. It's also discussed on other platforms, just for example:

28k unconfirmed txs right no.. some stress test ongoing?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/56tkgf/28k_unconfirmed_txs_right_no_some_stress_test/

Regarding the price: Bitcoin on Lykke is cheaper than on Bitfinex right now, at least what it shows in $.

Lykke: $618.55
Bitfinex: $619.33

What min/ max price can we expect for the future (for daily usage)?

Since I've never seen that they speculate about prices: If he should answer on that question I'll consider his account as hacked ;-)

Slack invite?

The Slack is not a public slack but the Telegram-Channel is and it makes sense to join - a lot of information to find there and also Richard Olsen is sometimes on and gives infos (others of the core-team as well of course): https://telegram.me/joinchat/AEGiqkF-_dNaHMwQbRSnAg

I still got an incoming transaction that been incoming since 8:49 am this morning. How long does it take before the coins show up in the wallet? I bought with bitcoin using the iOS wallet app.

There was a similar question on Telegram - answer is:

"your payment processed and placed in the queue. It might take several hours before settlement since there are a lot of payments today. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 10, 2016, 06:16:22 PM

Mr. Troll Gross is at it once again. Like seeing you here actually.. this means Factom has a bright future when the trolls show up. Hahaha

Yep, the FCT to .0015 suggestion made me literally laugh out loud.

IMO one of the things that speaks best about FCT is how little our trolls have to go on. Competitors? Not really. Quality of team? World-class. Market? Massive: the world's data. Plus serious traction, clients, partnerships ...

Though I have to say the one honest moment GrossBit's shown is in choosing his name.

One other thing, in regards to TrollBit's (laughable) claim of no manipulation ... The past day or so there's been a sell bot at the top of the order book repeatedly selling 3.5 BTC. I bought it twice yesterday, and each time, a second later, the same order appeared. I was wondering why this strategy ... Why not just create a sell wall and scare down the price? The only thing I could come up with is that not having the sell wall creates the illusion that the market is "naturally" staying down. And then, the very next day, TrollBit posts: "its clear the market is not here because of 'manipulation' but because of lack of new buyers." Deduce from that what you will ...

"They" (manipulators) worked a lot with huge sell-walls in the past (already months ago I've seen that), but: The lower the price, the more dangerous it is to use sell-walls.

It's just a theory, but even if it shouldn't be true it makes clear the principle:

1) Dumping to get the price down
2) Keeping it down - to be able to accumulate more than was dumped before

If sell-walls would be used, the risk would be that they would lose it. Somebody with enough BTC and a clear mind could just say "Cheap, thank you!" ;-)

Hi guys,
The Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is set to go online NEXT WEEK! Visit our website at http://antshares.org  for more info.

The windows wallet, the web wallet, the android .apk and WP client download will be ready at the same time, available on the website.

Nice! Earlier than I personally had expected it. Smiley

Understand that. Thanks

All I have is a voucher code.

Where do I use this code

Or do I just have a voucher for ever? And why is their no warning that the process operates like that.  Voucher is as good as an IOU, yet your card is charged. Card shouldn't be charged untIl voucher is claimed

I've checked the telegram-chat for that question, too. It was topic there:

Question:

Hi guys!
My colleague bought LKK using credit card, mail he received  - "Your new Voucher Code is ..." - and a code.
What he does need to do from this step? Fill some field in a Wallet using this code?

Answer:

please send your voucher code to support@lykke.com to be redeemed. Our payment system provider may have issues with some of the phones.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - a global marketplace on: October 09, 2016, 11:47:24 PM
I haven't exactly understood how the mechanism functions:
if I want to convert 1000 EUR to USD, do I have to first deposit the EUR, then buy LKK and after convert LKK to USD, or can I directly convert the two currencies without intermediary steps?

There was a similar question on the telegram channel (it's open for everybody: https://telegram.me/joinchat/AEGiqkF-_dNaHMwQbRSnAg)

Answer is that it will be that way (first convert to LKK) until Lykke is fully regulated.

I've copied the questions about buying with Fiat and Credit Card into the slack-channel. I personally have no experience yet with CC/Fiat but I (or LykkeX) will keep you guys updated when there are answers to your questions.
