701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: February 25, 2020, 02:16:48 PM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.

Nice suggestions, but I tend to differ, I think 2020 belongs to the exchanges who are willing to work for it, the exchanges which are willing to improve on their services, features etc. Whether decentralized exchanges or centralized exchanges the matter is, let there is convenient and reliable exchanges which can satisfy users needs be Ir trading or otherwise. Am not saying decentralized exchanges shouldn't be considered but let there be improvements which will make trading worth it; look out how centralized exchanges are improving, let decentralized exchanges do same and there will be a healthy competition.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: February 25, 2020, 01:44:27 PM
For most folks settling for any other coin apart from Bitcoin is a herculean task because of some of the experiences they have had with some altcoins, still, it doesn't mean there are no altcoins worth buying. From your list, I can see some of the coins which in my opinion I think are good for holding and the first is Ethereum; if someone says this is the best altcoin just know it's true not only in terms of its position on CMC but because of its potentials. The second I can recommend is the exchange coin, BNB while others are Litecoin and NEO.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? on: February 24, 2020, 03:34:48 PM
Since the introduction of the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and Alts) and its revolutionary Technology called Blockchain, way back the year 2008 until now, what was the development they are contributed to our society and how the blockchain technology helping our current industries and services? is the Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? Is there any alternative drop in your opinion below!

Although we are yet to see a massive adoption in various sectors etc but I can say blockchain has come a long way and have been adopted by many industries and platforms. Like someone rightly mentioned, Walmart, IBM have taken a stand on blockchain, Samsung on the other hand is also taking their own stand on what blockchain offers. Let me not forget Opera browser which now have a crypto wallet, slow and steady we are getting there because blockchain has come to stay and those who knows what lies in the future are taking their position so as not to be left out. However more improvement is needed to bring blockchain to the larger world.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: February 24, 2020, 03:28:21 PM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?

60 million USD and till now they are yet to offer anything good; this shows lack of seriousness within the team. The painful thing is, most projects now use the we are working on our products to keep the community waiting for nothing. What happened to the funds? what have they developed? This questions is what lead to the low trading volume because people are yet to see any good reason to invest in it. And also banning users for asking questions shows a team which lacks what it takes to run a project; Moreover if have been a solid thing on ground, most questions won't be asked.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not FOMO on newly listed altcoins on Binance on: February 22, 2020, 11:42:25 AM
That is actually true, the rush for newly listed coins can be equated to anything especially when it involves Binance exchange but the table is turning around now and leading to people being bag holders. If a coin is actually good there is no need rushing after it, just relax and get it because once trading starts it will dump. Many people have learnt from chasing after a moving train while many are yet to, those who have learnt stays away from fomo while those who are yet to, continue getting trapped. Also, most people don't research on these newly listed coins because they have the mindset that, since it is on a big exchange, there must be something good about the coin. Furthermore, fomo is not only on Binance exchange, it is something that exists within all top exchanges.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too scared to go for altcoins? on: February 22, 2020, 11:29:04 AM
Every investment one tends to do in this space must come with a clear understanding of what he wants. There have been little to no discussion about all these Bitcoin forks, at least from my own view, the only one which most people can talk about is Bitcoin cash which shows that despite the fact they are forked from Bitcoin people still prefers the original as it comes with a unique idea. To make it more clear, there is less urge to invest in these coins which have been channelled to altcoins like Ethereum and the rest because they tend to present better use case. I prefer going for Bitcoin and if the need arises for altcoins I prefer Ethereum.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: February 21, 2020, 12:14:05 PM
I wouldn't say altcoins are being boycotted rather people are becoming wise and concerned about where they put their funds etc. Most don't hold altcoins again especially the new ones because their future is uncertain. Secondly, altcoins are not being boycotted because altcoins like ETH, BNB etc are getting the neccessary attention since it is clear there is something to gain in the future. Lastly, holding BTC has proven to be the best, thus people are looking at what serves their best interest therefore holding BTC in large part while altcoins takes the lesser; so either way, altcoins are still being invested in and held.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: February 21, 2020, 12:02:00 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do not fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart

Quick but direct to the point. Many so called promising projects has dealt with us in many ways which makes me to understand that it is good to look beyond what the team displays or what so called partnership, news etc they have and focus on the possibility of that project making it. And even at this, we humans are unpredictable, investing what one can afford and being contented with it is possibily the best. Also, even though there are many untrustworthy projects, there are also trusted ones and therefore taking a glance on those ones (listed with evidence of growth) is worth the time.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At the end of the year! on: February 21, 2020, 11:56:28 AM
Sadly but true many people have fell to the words of those guys and many are still falling for it. They tend to believe because they are "experts" without knowing that they might be doing it because they were paid for it or they were trying to achieve something. Nothing beats self research, even after hearing from them it very important to make self research then comparing the results to see it adds up. By now we should learn to make the right decisions to save ourselves unnecessary losses.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges for Crypto Trading in 2019 on: February 19, 2020, 10:50:34 PM
In my opinion, even till now Binance is still seen as the number 1 exchange both in trading of crypto to trading of fiat. They also have support for various fiat currencies both in deposit and withdrawal. In terms of IEO too, they are also seen as the top exchange coupled with other relevant improvements. Followed closely on that list is Okex as they are still maintaining their relevance. Others I can mention in order of top to least is Houbi, Bitmex, Bitfinex, Kucoin and Bittrex. Lastly although Coinbase is good I still don't fancy it when other exchanges are easy to access amidst various friendly features.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 19, 2020, 10:29:28 PM
The simple answer is NO, Binance don't have what it takes to beat Ethereum and the reason is, Ethereum is decentralized which people are after and Binance isn't although which is still being used owing to their services. The fact is, Bitcoin made it possible for everyone to understand that they can own their privacy which Ethereum followed suit hence it will be difficult to let go of that idea on which the crypto world is built on; which is also the reason many people hates centralized platforms. Binance fits into this category thus the reason it will be hard to overtake Ethereum not to talk of when Ethereum is working towards improving their blockchain.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOU need to Stop using YOUTUBE! come and check this new platform! on: February 19, 2020, 08:03:50 PM
Although this is good in fact one of the things we are clamouring for that is, use case yet it will still be difficult for people to abandon YouTube now. At least this project is still in its infancy therefore a lot of improvements is needed to prove the platform worthy and this depends greatly on the team as well as the community members. The team need to be consistent and straightforward towards what they want and not bringing excuses midway which is what most upcoming projects do. I really like this as it will show people more about blockchain while rewarding them as well, in the long run leading to a healthy competition between it and YouTube.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with so many pages in one thread on: February 19, 2020, 07:56:42 PM
I believe you are referring to ANN thread. If so, a project with such or many number of pages shows one important thing; an active project, one which both the team and the community interacts and share ideas. It is really a good thing for a project to have an active presence in the Bitcointalk community as it tends to expose the project to like-minded people thus leading to the right set of investors getting associated with the project.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advice for year 2020 on: February 18, 2020, 09:41:07 AM
Altcoins are still good though but the issue is finding the good ones which is why most people tends to stick to top 10, top 20 or top 50 some can even extend their search to top 100. On the other hand, there are others who still go for coins not in top 100  while some also  prefers potential upcoming coins which they believe can offer something. Therefore it can be seen, different strokes for different folks, everyone knows what they want. But in all, the most important thing is, don't seek after hype nor go for any coin especially those not among the top without adequate reasons, and lastly holding Bitcoin is a very good decision.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Enjoyed this Unpredictable Season Bull / Bear on: February 18, 2020, 09:30:42 AM
Some times we cant Even judg weather this is Bullish market or Bearish. I thinks here will a lot of people who will be also confused like me. Where we are looking for a Bitcoin uptrend session ongoing, at the other side here is also many altcoins showing a solid bounce back.

But in my opinion this is a time for experience traders to make profit by switching coins and booked profit. Here are also many unexperienced trader or those who got panic by seeing other coin booming and their coin in not showing good move or getting volume.

Here is only way for make money which is keep patience and wait for your turn, Don't be greedy. But one thing will be matter, Are you holding a Strong coins.

The first people to enjoy it are holders, those who held on despite everything, especially those holding from last year or beginning of the year they really got a handsome reward. Secondly are traders too, those who are good also took their own share. This still confirms everything that the crypto space has come a long way and there is no turning back, there can only be ups and downs which will be overcome and holders of good coins will always be happy. Lastly like you said, the keys words are patience, strong coins and not being greedy.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 18, 2020, 09:25:11 AM
That's their new ways now, after they have gotten what they want they will change totally and starts giving useless excuses or replies to important questions. Truly they need not to reply they are working on their projects by mare words, they need to reply with proof that they are working. Another thing about these types of projects is that, the type of hype they generate is always much which of course will lead to them getting what they want. I heard about WPP and it's disheartening it turned this way and nothing can be done about it as the team has done what they want.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If google has its own crypto currency? on: February 18, 2020, 09:19:42 AM
Hi, I have a question if Google will have its own digital currency?it will beast bitcoin or not?

I think that it will beat Bitcoin easily! Because Google controls the whole world of the Internet! And it is very famous among the people all over the world. It can market its currency easily.
This is my opinion! What is yours?

It will be hard for any coin to beat Bitcoin because bitcoin is so decentralized unlike most coins we see today. Now we all know that Google is in charge of many online services today, which if they should have their own token will have a large amount of users but can we really trust them with our data or can our privacy really be respected? I hardly believes so. Therefore, my opinion is this, owing to the fact the world is becoming conscious of privacy which Bitcoin has truly offered then it will be hard for another to take its place.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: February 15, 2020, 08:36:24 AM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

We have been seeing massive growth this past days or weeks not just in the price of Ethereum but other coins too and of course people are getting in so as not to miss out, at least that's how this space is. Nevertheless, looking at ETH it is seriously showing signs of more growth which we will see soon, that is $300 looks soon. Also, about the speculated price of $440 it looks achievable should the market maintain its pace. However we should bear in the mind the nature of this crypto sphere, it is very important.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins founders need hire one that complement their efforts, please. on: February 15, 2020, 08:28:19 AM
Sometimes ago I was asked a simple question about some altcoins projects existence that fade away with time. In other word, why are many altcoins founders decided to focus on tech undermining what they are called for in life, some are good in generating business ideas but aren't good in tech.  We have seem cases of such with many projects without a tangible result, names withheld.

For any altcoin project to survive and succeed, the founder should understand what his call is concerning the project, they should know where they are good at and participate,  not interfering into others areas of specialization. Probably, Satoshi has business ideas and was also good on tech but others should not follow suits like him/her. This has destroyed many good projects from the surface of cryptosphere and should be voice out. Let every founder place priority over the area he or she specializes in and not doing all things at the same time without a good result.

Here are good examples: Google boys has Eric Schmidt, Facebook has Sheryl and Microsoft has Steve B. Looking at these projects, they survived and still surviving because of the hiring.

Therefore, altcoins founders should hire those techs to complement them on the techs side of the project. We are tired of half baked projects around us without a good case use.

What do you think we should emphasis in this matter?

I totally agree with you, we humans are unique and have different capacities and capabilities, there are places we are good at and vice versa, no wonder the saying " United we stand, divided we fall" that is to say, when people come together for a particular goal they will make exploits. As a founder of a project whether in the blockchain space or otherwise there is need to understand your role in that project and stick to while hiring the services of others who are experts in other areas through this way the project will continue growing because everyone knows his place and what he has to do. Nowadays, you will see a blockchain project where one person performs different operations and at the end the project won't survive. Thanks for pointing this out.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: February 13, 2020, 10:31:14 PM

If the only loser in 2019 out of 2600 suspects is Ripple, how is the community cleaning up this f--ing mess that we find ourselves wallowing in?

It is evident that ripple is been hated by majority of users but on the other hand, the team are still developing, they are still seeking partnerships, investors are still buying, transactions are still taking place etc. So if all these can still be happening, then it means there is something either the investors are after or something the team want to achieve on the long run. Therefore, from my little observations, I think these are the reasons why ripple is still not dead.
