I really can't believe how Portugal lost this match 1-0. They found so many goal opportunities. Jota's attempt was saved by the goalkeeper superbly. Especially Ronaldo wasted very big opportunities. If we had the young Ronaldo he would score at least one of them. After keeping Spain under pressure with their attacks for a long time the thing they were afraid of the most happened. They conceded a very simple goal. There was nobody marking Morata and he easily scored.

Portugal just gave their two-point advantage to Spain this easy and lost the lead on the final week of the group matches. This was a match they could have won if they didn't waste so many chances.

Inter are going to face Roma in Giuseppe Meazza before having a much more difficult match in the Champions League against Barcelona.

This is also going to be very tough for Inter considering their current condition. Roma are stronger this season even though their recent form hasn't been great. They didn't score any goal against Atalanta and Udinese which was really interesting. I wonder if Inter can keep them away from scoring a goal. But while they aren't very good at defending these days Roma can find a way to score. Lukaku is recovering now but I don't expect him to be in the starting eleven quickly. He will be lacking match fitness in the end. I think Inter will manage to win this match despite having big difficulties.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 25, 2022, 02:43:35 PM
I will also be expecting Barcelona to win against Inter. Barcelona are in a much better condition than Inter in defense and offense both now. I don't know what has changed for Inter this season. They didn't change their squad much and even added Lukaku to strengthen the attacking line even more. He has been injured though but he is returning in less than a week. He can be a game changer of course but his return is still not a solution to this situation.

Inter will need to improve their performance as a team. They aren't like Bayern Munich as well. I mean that Bayern Munich are at least doing good in the Champions League but Inter are really bad in their league and here both. Barcelona are strong enough to make use of their vulnerability just as Bayern Munich did.

Bayern Munich's current condition is really worrying. Honestly I'd like to see a different team winning the Bundesliga title finally after a ten-year break.  Grin  But it is still very interesting to see them in this shape of course. They are having big difficulties in even the games against much weaker teams in the league. For example most of us waited for them to put an end to their streak with point losses. But they couldn't even defeat Augsburg and lost that one.

Actually Bayern Munich were quite productive at the beginning of the season. So this made me think that they wouldn't have big problems in the league at least. But suddenly they started to have scoring problems here as well. In their last four matches they barely scored more than one goal in only one match. First we thought that it was because of caring about the Champions League more. But I believe this is too much. They are also aware of the serious problem they are having. They can't go on like this for a long time in the Champions League also. Maybe they would get past the group stage easily but the next stages would be much more difficult.

Sevilla's current bad form might continue by the Atletico Madrid match as well. There is a really huge difference between the previous season and this one for Sevilla. Collecting only five points in six weeks is very alarming for the rest of the season. Of course they can start to find their rhythm at one point but I don't believe that it will happen in this match. Even though Sevilla defeated them two times in a row in their home matches recently, I believe this will be different.

While they are in a bad shape and Atletico Madrid are performing better than them I might give a chance to Atletico Madrid victory @2.60. It isn't the most likely result of course as this match is likely to finish with a draw. But I just want to try my luck with Atletico because they would like to make up for the Real Madrid loss. If they show the same effort this time they can be the winning side. Both teams to score might also be a nice option as I believe it will win easily.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 22, 2022, 08:01:28 PM
Arsenal have a really tough schedule now. First playing against Tottenham and after that playing against Liverpool will be really challenging for them. They will test themselves in two big matches in two weeks. They are at least lucky to play both of them in Emirates. But this still doesn't change the fact that both of them will be very difficult for them.

Tottenham are already in a very good shape these days. Liverpool are also in a recovery phase now and they can get better until their match. If Arsenal finish these matches with at least 4 points then it would still be very advantageous for them. But collecting less points wouldn't be a good sign about the rest of their big matches. This is important for maintaining their title chance too of course.

I don't know if the reason why Mauricio Pochettino is still jobless is because he is waiting for an offer from a top club, or if he is just on leave/taking a break from managerial action, whilst Pochettino might not have won too many trophies in his career, i think he is a good manager and i love his style of football which is always very attacking and never defensive minded. When he was Spur's boss i always enjoyed their matches, the team always took the game to their opponent and never sat behind waiting for counter attacks, maybe that is why he didn't manage to win anything with them, as for his time in PSG, mind you that since they became a rich club they have had quite a lot of managers, and none of them won the CL, so it is not like he was the only one that failed in that goal. Overall Pochettino is not a terrible manager.

Pochettino is one of the very ideal managers for the English Premier League. I was even waiting for Chelsea to bring him after sacking Tuchel but they made an unexpected move instead. Pochettino can still get an offer from a big team in this league especially. But he will need to wait for some time as most of the big teams already have reliable managers.

There are of course some teams out of this league that are rumoured with sacking their managers but these are just rumours for now. But if Pochettino finds a job I hope that it will be in the Premier League. His times with Tottenham weren't too bad in general. He knows this league and teams very well so managing another big team here would be a fitting job for him.

Bayern Munich president has stated that they aren't intending to sack Nagelsmann after the recent poor results in the Bundesliga. I also think that it would be very meaningless because the main issue is obviously not his management. The problem is that they don't have a solid striker like Lewandowski anymore. This is the source of their being inadequate in terms of productivity. They can't go on with making their wingers play as forward players. For example Manchester City tried this in the past when they didn't have any striker and it affected their scoring performance quite much.

Like most people, I also think that Kane is the best candidate to be able to fill Lewandowski's place. I don't how much difficult it can be but they should be ready to use their financial power as much as possible to make this deal happen. They need to make the striker transfer in January at worst otherwise the rest of the season could be a nightmare for them. We might see them not retaining their title in the league and the Champions League would also get much more difficult for them after qualifying from the group.

Juventus CEO has made a statement about Allegri's future. He said that they weren't thinking of sacking Allegri at all. He says that Allegri is a part of their four-year project. Allegri has a contract running until 2025 now. Maybe the CEO is really telling the truth. But I'm still not sure about that because the same thing happened between Laporta and Koeman at Barcelona. A short time after, we saw Koeman getting sacked.

We don't even know if the real problem with the team is Allegri's system now. Because last season was much better for Juventus and Allegri was the manager then too. I think they shouldn't be in a hurry to sack him. Instead they should focus on finding the source of the problem in the team. Maybe they need to make new signings especially for their midfield. Pogba's absence is making them more desperate there. If they consolidate their midfield at least they wouldn't concede many goals easily.

Eternal Fire are unstoppable now. First they started with a loss to the ESL Challenger Rotterdam qualifiers. But after that they started a really great series and it ended up with a big victory in the tournament. They played against Entropiq in the finale. Entropiq are one of the most challenging opponents for them considering their head-to-head matches so far. But the brand new roster of Eternal Fire were much more promising to win this matchup. They really did it playing solid on Dust2 and Overpass both. They dominated the match on especially Overpass as the first half score was 13-2.

Eternal Fire started to play more systematic which makes watching them more fun. Because imoRR's individual mistakes being in the first place, they had serious issues to deal with before. But now they have developed good strategies and finally we are watching them playing as a real team. XANTARES and woxic were the most impressive players of this matchup and woxic was chosen as MVP.

Arsenal continue on their impressive performance this season. Like most people I was also expecting a bigger resistance from Brentford. They were one of the teams that were playing impressively in home matches. They scored so many goals in these matches and only 4 of them was against Manchester United. Taking all of this into account, I was expecting a good offensive performance from them in this match also. Because Arsenal were a team that like to play an attacking-oriented game. I thought that they would care less about their defense.

However they couldn't even find many chances against Arsenal. Somehow Arsenal managed to keep them away from their goal most of the time and had things under control during the match. I still believe that there will be a time period that Arsenal will have problems on winning matches this much comfortable. Then we will see how Arteta will manage with the hard times too. I don't believe Arsenal will finish the season without a bad form just as they have like in every season.

Verdu's getting a red card has made things much easier for Barcelona. Lewandowski scored two goals so far in the match. After the Bayern Munich match it is good to see him improving his performance. But the team need him more in the bigger and more important matches. Maybe he had some problems on playing as usual against his old team.

This win will make Barcelona the leader temporarily. Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid derby will be eyed closely. This is going to be the first big test for Real Madrid in this season. Because they have played against weaker teams in the league and Champions League both so far. Atletico Madrid aren't a very consistent team maybe but Simeone knows how to play more effectively against big teams in the league well. They kept Real Madrid at one point here in the previous season. They might do this again so it feels like both teams to score is a better option to bet on. It has a 1.72 odd which is quite favourable.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 17, 2022, 03:43:21 PM

This was a really dangerous move by Nathan Collins. It's good that Grealish didn't get injured after his kick to his chest. I don't understand how Wolves players can still try to object to the red card after this.

It was a usual match for Manchester City. They got a clear win by 3-0. Grealish scored a really early goal and his performance was quite decent this time. Haaland scored a goal in this match too and he has 11 goals in total in the league already. He is really unstoppable these days. Until the Brentford - Arsenal match, Manchester City are going to keep their lead in the standings. They might keep it for the week as well because Arsenal have a really tough opponent. Brentford are playing really good in their home matches. They might make difficulties for Arsenal also after they did it to Manchester United.

According to Transfermarkt, Gavi's new release clause after signing a contract extension is 1 billion euros. This means that there will be no team to disturb the player or the team about a deal until his contract ends. Gavi's accepting a release clause like this is a proof how much he wants to continue on his career at Barcelona for long years. As you might have heard, there was some interest in Gavi in the latest transfer window so Barcelona must have wanted to fend off all the interest by this action.

Barcelona love to invest in their young and talented players. Gavi is definitely one of them. Maybe he might be "the new Iniesta" of this team in the future as he has a huge talent. Barcelona did the same with Pedri also while they were extending his contract. He also has a 1 billion euro release clause. These players are the future of Barcelona in the end and they can't afford losing any of them.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 15, 2022, 05:16:19 PM
I wonder if Chelsea did the right thing by changing their manager. Graham Potter had his first match in the Champions League with the team and they got another point loss. Actually Chelsea's performance was really good. They had things under control most of the time and Salzburg had only 4 goal attempts. But Salzburg still left the match by one point at the end.

This is only the start of course and Graham Potter will have a good amount of time to find the right game plan for the team before their next official match. If his system works with Chelsea very well then it is still not difficult for them to make up for the losses so far. Otherwise this season will turn into a nightmare for Chelsea. The thing Chelsea need the most now is being capable of scoring goals easier than before. Because despite being very effective in attacking they were still stuck at 1 goal against Salzburg for example.

These are really attracting matches on this week. All of these teams have started the season strongly. First of all it is really not easy to believe in a side completely to win the match. However Roma and Milan would be my preferences if I decide to bet on a side for each match. Playing home is an advantage above all else. Atalanta lost points against Cremonese last week so they seem a little unreliable for this match. I know that Roma lost to Udinese by a huge score but Udinese are at the 4th place in the end.

Milan might manage to defeat Napoli by a narrow goal difference. They defeated Inter 3-2 here and a similar scenario can happen for Napoli also. If one doesn't want to take big risks for these matches then both teams to score seems to be the most sensible option for both matches. It would be surprising if one of them fails in scoring one goal at least.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 14, 2022, 05:52:41 PM
Arsenal's main problem has always been with consistency. So far in this season they have done a good job. Of course the loss against Manchester United wasn't good but they are still the leader in the standings. The most important parts of the season will be the dates that they play against the other big teams of the league. If they continue to get losses or draws in those matches then it is difficult for them to remain a serious title contender for this season.

Arteta has a much more solid squad after new transfers. This season is a big opportunity to do more than just finishing it in top 4. They should be able to fight for the league title until the end. Their job is very difficult especially against Manchester City as they are even stronger after adding Haaland to the team. I assume that we would have a better idea of what teams would be in this rivalry after the end of the first half of the season.
