721  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Telegram @Royse777 is temporarily unavailable, please use @CasinoCritique on: October 26, 2023, 09:40:34 AM
And Android has the original Telegram app and the X version, I think. But on iOS things are a bit more sane with only one official client on the App Store.

They all seem almost totally similar to each other except for a few UI changes in each one.

Telegram X is similar in UI but I guess it misses a few features which is available on Telegram and we can compare it to Facebook and Facebook lite.

Another possible reason could be it acts as beta software before implementing any new features on their main app which may cause bugs, crashes, etc. The concept isn't new though, especially if you are a Chrome user, cause its also available in Chrome beta, chrome dev, and Chrome Canary/chromium as different applications.
722  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Risk/AML score on: October 25, 2023, 07:44:12 PM
Nobody can give us the accurate number cause this involves unaccounted funds for transactions so since the emergence they will never go into any books the officials may find traces here and there but nobody knows how deep the rat hole is.

I can list some of the names but I never know their accuracy level too so will track this thread if someone related to that field can make a comment on it.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just like visiting a cinema on: October 25, 2023, 06:17:40 PM
We can agree that it's not literally the same but falls under the same category of entertainment, just focus on the spending and get nothing in return financially.

Why we can't treat it the same even if we want too is because of the involvement of money and the excitement of getting more in return if luck favors us but the fact is the house always wins which means we can experience the winning here and there if we are an average joe with average luck factor and it happens for once in a million that we see on the news like someone won life-changing money from betting pennies.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 04:21:23 PM
Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.

Even after a terrible start, you got some luck behind you that helped you to recover from the loss.

But indeed it's not a good practice to follow as a responsible gambler, clearly in this instance too what would be your reaction if you lost that $1800 too if luck didn't work?

It's always better to stop at the initial stage itself if you feel the day doesn't belong to yourself or you maybe forced to chase loss.
725  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What could be the cause of this? on: October 25, 2023, 12:29:12 AM
I just had to uninstall the blue wallet, install it back directly from the Play Store, do the wallet importations back, and allow the balance to load and reflect by itself. Everything appears to have worked normally now, and the coins have been sent out just waiting for blockchain confirmation; they're already showing on the new wallet as incoming unconfirmed transactions, so we are all good and the issue is solved.

Your friend is not the only person who faced this error, this happened to many, and can find a few on Reddit and other platforms.

The reason for this is due to a lack of inbound connections which is probably due to enabling Tor or messing up with any other network settings on the Bluewallet.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what are the reputable casino with vault feature? on: October 23, 2023, 06:51:27 PM
I don't remember any casino which which encouraged their users to use their account for storing purpose and vault represent the entire cold storage if I am not wrong so it can be considered an individual gambling account cause its just a database with number reflected according to the balance on the wallet not really the account is used as cold storage in any means.

Casinos discourage users to use casino from storing cryptos by enforcing wagering requirements for withdrawal so once someone deposits x sum in a casino they can't request x to be withdrawn unless they involve the funds with any wagering at least 1x.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 23, 2023, 05:42:34 PM
I wouldn't say they are faking anything as long as they are promoting legitimate casinos but many streamers are either sponsored by the casino for their entire wagering to show their brand to thousands of live viewers to attract potential customers which they tend to not expose publicly while it can be a moral loss for the one who is trusting them and hoping that this person is being entirely transparent.
728  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Generating a seed phrase with biased dice on: October 22, 2023, 05:35:27 PM

A couple of questions:
In what ways are dice biased? Is the bias random?
For instance, am I more likely to roll a 2 than any other numbers on dice #1 and a 3 on dice #2?

A die can be biased for two reasons one is intentional means that is created to favor one particular number for cheating purposes. Another one is unintentional like it can happen due to a faulty process while manufacturing and become biased on one side so in both cases the bias is non-random and will likely favor one side but every die can be unique with their bias so if we use 10 different biased dice on multiple rolls then more likely we will see the same combination of number.

Quote
To take this further, how could someone take advantage of the bias in my dice to bruteforce my seed without knowing what that bias is? Even if 8/10 of my dice are biased and only 2 produce near-perfect results, wouldn't you need to know the exact bias to brute force my seed?

Even though it is not entirely possible to find the biased nature of a die, if they can find the noticeable results when rolling a die multiple times then it can be considered as the die is biased towards number 2 so they will incorporate it into the brute forcing process which will reduce the time to crack the result if their guess is right.

So I feel the bias dice can affect the security of seed generation.

What could be the best alternative?

I feel going completely digital can ensure complete randomness and it can be done with the Dice rolling applications built on Pseudorandom Number Generators (PRNGs).

729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 22, 2023, 03:42:26 PM
But its different story when a casino is transparent and ask this KYC at first since it can change every negative impression of people especially if they earned some good reputation on any site they are promoting especially here where reviews are legitimate given by many people.
Yeah, that is my point. Before trusting a platform with my money I will look at their reputation and complete KYC if needed then go on further which will ease the misunderstanding between platform and user. I am not a big fan of reviews though but it helps in identifying the casino that farms their reputation with paid reviews which will be normally from bots and the legitimate ones with actual people writing the feedback.
730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be Sure To Read A Wallet's Or Any Documentation Before Starting To Use on: October 22, 2023, 09:22:51 AM

This is what happened to one of my friends who used Wasabi wallet for the first time he stored $5 worth of Bitcoin a few months ago he kept his passphrase but not the password associated with that wallet,

Actually, your friend forgot the passphrase which is termed as a password by Wasabi wallet so even if your friend has the 12-word recovery seed it is not possible to import the wallet into another wallet like Electrum or any wallet that supports it because without the passphrase the wallet will create different master key means entirely different wallet.

Bruteforcing the passphrase is possible if your friend remembers part of the words but since $5 dollar I would just leave that and learn this as a lesson.
731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 21, 2023, 08:47:36 PM
snip~
But it's not only the bots causing headaches and  the online world keeps expanding every day, with more and more people getting internet access, particularly in developing countries where broadband is still catching on.  Even just a few bucks of bonus money can seem like a great prize to them compared to their standard of living.
If the market expands then it is good for the platform since their business along with potential profit-making ability will grow proportionally. Along with the growth issues like these will also come into the context so the casino should increase their workforce to handle support tickets as soon as possible and clear the backlogs. If the support queue gets longer then even a legitimate issue can be hidden which can create a bad reputation for them.

Early hours of today,  one of the Nigeria billionaire business man E money shared his bet slip online for fans
I am not sure about this billionaire but in general, all their actions will be based on their rewards so I assume that is the case then he is just promoting the casino which we can see at the bottom of that screenshot itself. I may be wrong but that's my perspective for this kind of action.

733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 04:14:58 PM
First of all, I wouldn't choose to deposit on a casino which I can't trust with my KYC details and since I am not a high roller I am always okay to provide the basic details such as National ID verification and liveness test too if needed.

I will not be giving them further details like bank statements, proof of income, or whatever you consider sensitive information to share with anyone.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Idea for extremely paranoid people who want to create a bitcoin wallet on: October 21, 2023, 03:34:03 PM
As per the theoretical calculation time taken to brute force the 24-word recovery seed from the BIP list is longer than the age of our universe which is expected to be around 14 billion years.

I considered a system that can do 1 billion combinations per second then the time taken to brute force 24 word seed would be 2.76 million trillion years.

Calculations from chat GPT
Quote
Number of Combinations = 2048^24 = 8.71 x 10^77
Combinations per Second = 10^9 (1 billion)

Time (in seconds) = (Number of Combinations) / (Combinations per Second)
Time = (8.71 x 10^77) / (10^9) = 8.71 x 10^68 seconds

To convert this into years:

Time (in years) = (8.71 x 10^68 seconds) / (60 seconds/minute * 60 minutes/hour * 24 hours/day * 365 days/year)
Time ≈ 2.76 x 10^60 years

So, it's 2.76 million trillion years.

My "solution" is to tell them to try "hacking" someone else's wallet.

why isn't it not possible original meme

735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Security Should Be Your First Target as a Newbie on: October 20, 2023, 05:56:48 PM
Not just newbies, it should be the priority for everyone.

I would summarize this into further get a wallet that can never be attacked by malware but newbies can ask if is this possible.

Yes, it is and called air-gapped wallet aka cold storage which means the wallet is installed in a device that will never get connected to the internet so there is no possibility of exposing your recovery seeds via that machine.

Here is my post about how to do it with electrum

Download the latest version of Electrum from https://electrum.org/#download and then verify the signatures before installing it.

[GUIDE] How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum

Then copy the downloaded file to your air-gapped device and install it, then restore your wallet with your seeds "Standard Wallet -> I already have a seed".

Then go to  "Wallet -> Info" and get your "Master Public Key"

After this go to your device which is connected to the internet create the "watch-only" wallet (Standard Wallet -> "Use a Master Key)

By this method device will be never connected to the internet so you no need to worry about your seeds being exposed to malware or anything.

736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Does BIP39 allow for the same words to be repeated more than twice in a seed? on: October 20, 2023, 03:02:50 PM
does BIP39 have rules that prevent the same word from being generated 3 times?

There is no phenomenon that stops words from repeating more than once which can be twice, thrice, or even more while generating seeds based on BIP39.

OP your question has been answered here

The probability of 11.7% is being calculated using the birthday paradox formula.

"The paradox of birthdays is a mathematical problem put forward by Von Mises, who looks for the value N in the problem: In a group of N people there is 50% chance that at least 2 people in the group share the same birthday (day + month). The answer is N = 23, which is quite counterintuitive, hence the paradox."

So for the calculations: -Repetition (Twice): 2 (number of people sharing the same birthday) -Number of words: 24 (number of people in a group) -Number of all BIP39 words: 2048 (number of days in a year)

The result is 0.119 (11.9%). But for THREE repetitions it's getting really low: 0.00043 (0,043%).

Andreas says in this video that you could use the same word 23 times + valid checksum and it would still be valid.
Yes, it will still be a valid wallet but if you are doing such a thing then the time taken to brute force your wallet will be 0.001 sec.
737  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Junket Operator on: October 20, 2023, 12:42:12 PM
Casino junket counter part in online casino are those Gambling review sites and other that offers extra rewards such as free spin or other form of rewards which they are paying from their own pocket when player sign up using their referral link.

They are not paying from their own pocket, they may already have partnered with the casino, and a particular amount of the wagered amount or lost amount will be shared with the one from whom they are gonna keep making profits as long as the player who used their referral to register and play there.

I don't remember any crypto casino or legitimate casino review offer such investment schemes with fixed returns because its easy to find that its just a scam.

It's highly unlikely that any reputable casino would risk its reputation by offering such an investment opportunity. It's often too good to be true, which could compromise their operations. This investment scheme wasn't even widely known or popular until it was exposed. They didn't target a large number of people; only a few individuals got involved because the minimum investment was, I think, Php 200,000 or roughly around $3,600 each. For the average investor, that's a substantial amount of hard-earned money. Those OFW investors aren't likely to move on easily from their losses.

Bustadice still offers bankroll investment feature, which you can see below

But they are not guaranteeing any profits like mentioned here, they clearly stated whether its profit or loss will be shared among all the investors which is the actual way for investment to work.

I tried everything

Try this and let us know if this works

Install Telegram X from Play Store on your device on which the sim is used for activation of your @Royse777 telegram account. Don't worry TelegramX is not an unofficial app nor a modded version, it's just one of Telegram's official clients and also developed by Telegram-LLC.

Once you installed the app, just follow the same login process as Telegram and here you will receive the verification code via normal SMS to your mobile Number when you click didn't receive code for the second time.

I am suggesting this only after trying this on my side now on my secondary Android when my telegram session is still active on my primary mobile. Hope this will work.

740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play equal to deposited funds before you can withdraw on: October 19, 2023, 07:39:21 PM
I find it's bullshit if they ask for their user to wager 10x or 50x ot whatever from their deposited amount but 1x is pretty sensible and if someone didn't want to bet then they shouldn't be deposited in the first place.

The actual reason for the wagering requirement to exist is to avoid money launderers and if there is no such requirements in place then they can deposit millions and bet a few hundred then withdraw everything as whitewashed then the casino will have to face legal issues and charges and if that can be avoided with one rule then it doesn't sound like bullshit to me.
