721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Beginner on: May 15, 2019, 09:47:29 AM

I'd like to ask you to point me in a somewhat right direction.

I've been learning and researching everything about crypto space and the deeper I go - the more there is to learn.
It's becoming harder to use my time efficiently and productively, to filter out quality information from spam and get-rich-fast schemes.

Do you know any sources/calculators for doing statistics on profit/loss? For planning the budget? I would really really appreciate some newbie-friendly reading materials/guides or even excel sheet with pre-made formulas haha

Highly appreciate your input! Hope to return some of the good karma back to the community when I become good at this

you can see how much profit or lost through the statistic that already available on the exchange site
you can now try to learn more from this site https://www.tradingview.com/ that contains a lot of analyzation and you can try to learn more the basic analyzation of TA and FA.
For the budget and that depends on yourself and how much you can afford to lose it dude.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dump the alts on: May 15, 2019, 09:32:27 AM
Maybe now (and a little earlier) it would be good to sell altcoins for Bitcoin. But now it is difficult to do. BTC has already grown strongly. The correction may start at any time. This may cause some altcoins to rise to BTC.
We have still time for Bitcoin investment because again little drop in current market but it will forward at anytime. So those are active in crypto market they will earn good profit in Bitcoin and altcoin, But raising percentages from both are different so better you can buy Bitcoin is the good decision.
Buy when the price was reaching the peak price? i think you are joking even when you say that will even better and buy at the peak price is too risky. remember this when someone sell his alts to get into the bitcoin bull and he will be loosing his funds caused by the whales are dumping it and get back to altcoin, when that guy dump his bitcoin for altcoin and then whale move from altcoin to the bitcoin. this is really difficult thing to speculating about where market will go.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a value reserve? on: May 15, 2019, 09:17:35 AM
Because could bitcoin represents a value reserve or acts as a "digital gold", really could it change the world in a deterministic sense?
Bitcoin cannot be considered with gold because of instability on the prices and it is not regulated by most of the governments so it will not be used as storage of value.Bitcoin is the first of its kind, its just revolutionary invesntion to make decentralized payment without any hidden costs and it also prone to inflation, but ist demand and supply will cause swing on the prices in future as well.
The volatility makes it hard to consider as a good reserved, unlike gold where most government already recognized its value and even there's certain mobility
it's not that much like how bitcoin did, the sway makes it different as it's give opportunities, maybe after some more years when every government accept this system and recognized it's worth.
But when you are seeing bitcoin from its utility and that will better compared with the gold, did you know where gold gets its value? some people think the value of gold comes from its art and there was another guy that think the value of gold comes from elements that contained by the gold itself. Basically bitcoin contains the utility usage and that will be more valuable.
The volatility just usual thing. it caused by bitcoin used its utility to create demand and supply to create value but that's not a big problem.

725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats happening with NEO ?? Why its price going Down??? on: May 14, 2019, 09:47:45 AM
maybe some of the assets of NEO holders are now turning towards bitcoin, because now the price of bitcoin has started to rise, this is an opportunity for them to get profit from bitcoin.
It's not only maybe but that's the fact that already happened, not only for bitcoin but some neo holders are sticking their NEO portfolios to another coin. this is a usual thing when there was a bullish market and NEO didn't get a huge impact. people are starting to speculate another coin and leaving NEO for a while or they will never came back again if there was no such a potential growth in NEO platform.
that's the rule of crypto when there was no a coin that can't even create a good progress. Traders and investors are watching it anytime.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading vs HODLing on: May 14, 2019, 09:43:18 AM
Right now, HODLing is making me some pretty good gains. Before I HODL'ed, I was using Wolfpackbot tho. Some days I was gaining .5% and others I was gaining closer to 2%. It depends on how the market is going tho. Sideways markets seem to work well with the bot vs bull markets and investing/hodling. What would you guys suggest? What are you guys using to trade? Do any of you use bots like the Wolfpackbot?
Both? you can't determine the market works very well with bot because the bot will be very useful when the market gets stable. Bot can't even follow the direction of the market when it gets a huge increase or decrease. I prefer to do both whatever people said about that but that increase the possibility to earn max profit from the market.
I used hodling as the alternative plans but just accumulate more coins anytime depends on how much fund that i can use to buy hodl coins.
727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's time for us to return to being great traders ...! on: May 11, 2019, 10:50:49 PM
Bitcoin has started to raise prices again, we can see that market prices have started to move, As traders we cannot be tired and hopeless, we must continue to struggle to get up and be optimistic to become great traders, I think traders will not always suffer losses as long can be patient and keep trying to achieve the benefits we want, so let's start trading again so that we can recover the losses we have suffered.
As a trader and what do you do before? Please stop to talk about crap and remember this when you are great traders, why didn't you even create this a motivation thread when the price of crypto still at the bottom and why?
it's too late to get in the market caused by you will get the more risk.
Oh yeah you can recover your loses but what will happen when you get into the market when it gets a big recovery like this time? I think you can understand what i m saying.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOES IEO PROTECT BOUNTY HUNTERS ? on: May 11, 2019, 10:32:39 PM
It will not make any difference to bounty hunters, because if the project does not want to pay after the campaign? What guarantee will IEO provide for bounty hunters?
Ummm.. sorry we don't talk so much with the guy that doesn't even wanna see the bounty section before create any comments. Are you so blindly or what? Some IEOs have created their campaign and more IEO comes. Consider the fact the competition of launch pad in any exchange platform will create a very strict competition. Just visit bounty section and you must start to count how much IEO that already created bounty campaign to pay more attention from investors.

You don't know what should you do then.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pick one. Cardano or EOS on: May 11, 2019, 10:20:48 PM
What does this community think of Cardano and EOS? If you had to pick one which one would you choose?
I just consider from its utility and cardano is better for me personally, I don't wanna invest in a crap coin like EOS. Carndano looks very stable on its development progress compared with another competitor like EOS. but that's not the problem. You must get into the market as soon as possible before the price of both coins getting increase even more. I can say both fully with non sense targets.
But the system that built by ADA looks very solid compared with EOS. I will vote for ADA and i hope you can invest based on how useful the protocol
730  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation of Cryptocurrency Around the World on: May 10, 2019, 02:31:13 PM
Regulation of Cryptocurrency
Around the World

You can find a list of 130 countries in this document.
There are some countries that doesn't have any law on cryptocurrency, just like my.country (no need to mention), there is no law that has to do with cryptocurrency, and is all about choice whether you want to make use of it or not. I think the reason government in my country does not look into cryptocurrency yet is because there isn't anyone that is making use of it. I have never seen anyone talk about cryptocurrency where I live, even when I tell people, they act like they don't know about it and after explaining they don't show any interest.
In the image it shows majority being legal, but it isn't the reality. Majority hasn't took any stance on the cryptocurrency adoption or usage. Very few countries have officially banned the usage of bitcoin within the country. Probably most of the countries with a neutral stance is added to the list of countries where cryptocurrency is legal. Whatever maybe the present scenario, in future we can see the entire world considering it legal realizing the need of cryptocurrency.
That looks a wrong information for me. i believe most of them are not yet decided about the lagalization of crypto. They are should be on the gray area rather than put it into the green. I agree with you if that was not a reality but a lot of countries are still feeling doubt to ban or accept crypto.
They can't even decide it and that's why they don't give any confirmation regarding it. A lot of areas should be market as neutral.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Insurance for trading exchange on: May 10, 2019, 02:20:55 PM
They already do have fund for backing these stuff up. Not only Binance, I believe most of the exchanges have a separate fund for facing unnecessary stuff like this. Business too follow the same strategy for avoiding unknown risk in the future.
It looks very wrong for me, how much reserved funds depend on the how much revenue that acquired by exchange itself. Only major exchange site big revenue can do that. have you seen cryptopia? it can become the best example how the medium or lower tier exchange site doesn't have any insurance or reserved funds to backed the trader's amount that already sent to the hot wallet on that exchange site.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: May 10, 2019, 08:30:39 AM
Almost 90% of masternodes coin will scam and using like Ponzi scheme. You can check at Masternodes.online.  developer only takes money from you then destroys the market with insane dumping on pre-mine. Everyday sells and others will make Masternode/PoS killed
Only some of them look better in my view. This time i used sins and dash MN and so far i got no problem with it and i just take a month to get back my ROi from sins.
I bought them when it worth $1.45 and this time it has turned 3x from my initial rate to buy MN. But what about the rest?  Roll Eyes
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin hit the 6000 threshold before next year? on: May 09, 2019, 08:00:50 AM
Seems as if people underestimated the bitcoin market, it smashed through the 6000 barrier even after the binance hack. Maybe they all dumped bnb for bitcoin which is the smart move
indeed binance exchanges have very strong supporters but I think to be able to penetrate such a large wall will be very difficult and certainly there must be good news that can trigger to be able to penetrate that many walls.
The binance news doesn't give any impact to the price of the BNB tokens and the fact that it looks very strong right now. When the bull has started and the market has no reason to give a lot reaction to the bad news that can be taken by the party that involved in that case. As you can see binance will bring back that money to the traders but basically the party that gets lost is the binance exchange site itself and not anyone else.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current bounty campaigns that can make you rich? on: May 09, 2019, 07:28:36 AM
Can I get great contributions on how I can participate in a campaign that will add more value to my wallet?

That will be difficult to determine becasue my view to bounties this days is not a positive type. Will advise you to look out for a good manager who is currently running a bounty campaign and join, maybe you can be lucky. Remember, is a game of luck since 2018 till now. If you have the money, will advise you to invest instead.
this day all depend on your analyzation. There was a lot of people have experienced with scam bounties and i have earned a good amounts last month. this is like a betting when you choose a project and interesting to be a part of its marketing campaign and then you must have know about all of the risks. So many scam icos and that makes us worry before doing any analyzation.
Who is the manager can't determine if that will be a legit project.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining VEIL on: May 09, 2019, 07:18:44 AM
I'm mining veil and I will show you my screenshot hashrate with GTX 1080ti below.
As you can see I'm currently have around 33 hashrate but I just set the clock for much efficiency that is why the watt is low compared to stock clock.

This is not accurate and sometimes the hashrate shows 45 because the hashrate is depends on the hash order.

If you are planning to mine veil try to play the intensity 19 to 23 but for my GTX 1080ti I set it to intensity 23.

$1.18 on a single day with having that 1080ti accurate? If it does then theres no point on mining up this coin.

It's at current price, what if price rises? — sure no one can be sure if it will rise or not but you gotta make your best bet.

Early miners of btc, ethereum, dash, etc made good money by mining, if they would have kept waiting until price rises, then difficulty would have already skyrocketed and mining would not have been as profitable.

I am on lack of words, hope you understand what am saying.
And what if price down? Right now BTC is rising, that`s way alt crypto, including veil are going down. It can be a longtime waiting. But as i said early in this thread - even with such a price mining to sell right now is one of the most profitable.
You should not worry about that altcoin will follow bitcoin and it needs more time. Mining is really profitable when it comes to the medium coin or lower. A down after a big pump and that's always happening in the cryptocurrency. Veil needs more good news to create another hype. i still mine veil and i got a few bucks but just used to stake in the network.
736  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is trading on P2P wallet exchanges? on: May 08, 2019, 10:17:49 AM
Some of you might know there are a growing number of wallets with in-built person to person exchanges. Whether it be  Pint or Mycelium, these marketplaces are a little slower than a regular p2p market like localbitcoins, bitkan or Paxful.

So what do you guys think? is it economically feasible for a wallet app to dedicate resources to this p2p marketplace feature? Is it worth it, given how less it is used by people? Or is it too soon to say?

One thing is for sure, with even Binance getting hacked, it seems nothing is safe enough to trust 100% anymore. Would wallet linked semi decentralized p2p exchanges be the future? or just another failed experiment?
from a long time ago and there was a lot of awareness if the centralized exchange was not safe. It's feasible to be used by people but the problem is that kind of p2p exchange site is not yet popular among the crypto traders or it charges more fees.

Basically, people are still interesting using real-time exchange site. I prefer to see more and more idex will appear in the future rather than pegged on the centralized exchange site or use P2P exchange site.

That will be more interested than it.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BCNEX | The Ultimate Blockchain Trading Platform on: May 08, 2019, 09:58:54 AM
Seeing Bcnex raised 2,017 ethereum (based on the website) in just a few days makes me feel confident to see a good project and output for this. If we raised more than this in other currencies, for sure a lot of investor will be investing on this one. Good Work !

2017 ETH is not huge but we can say fine response. Almost 350K USD raised till now. Let's see how soon they can hit softcop?
For the softcap itself, this project has a target of 2,000,000 $ softcaps, with the achievement of current sales, of course this is a good start, hopefully many investors will join here. I hope there is a good strategy from marketing to attract many investors here.

Softcap is 2 millions dollars? This may look far at this moment, but nice start for ICO. Its possible that softcap can hit within few days.
if you are seeing the latest update about how much raised so far and it looks like bcnex almost raised $500k from its crowdsale and with additional of 1 million dollars from angel investors and it will be so easy to get the softcap.

Do anyone feel the ICO of Bcnex has a little slow if compare to others? I mean, I don't understand why they haven't bought yet. After few days of analyse, I'm impressed by the project, the team is working hard for this. But maybe their marketing campaign is not suitable in this moment.
i do and it caused by those people are putting their attention to the IEOs that will have listed on the exchange site instantly. that's why bcnex doesn't get a lot of attention from the investors.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!] on: May 08, 2019, 07:39:08 AM
@denkoivanov

Are these 46 CPUs installed in the computers in the place where you work? Thus you will have electricity for free. Right? These CPU with AES. Since L3=2MB, you can mine coins on some algo cn-lite or cn-ultralite. It is desirable that the coin was only for the CPU.
By the way virtualization can be enabled in the bios. These CPU support it. Wink

yes its true and its not a problem to do it.
But which coin will be good to do.   What do you thing abour Xcash is it a scam or it will be a good coin for example ?
it will always cryptonight coins and i think that xcash is not a scam but that looks a difficult decision to bet on a coin which was having a little daily trade volume.
maybe this is what are you looking for the list that will give you a little profit through use your CPU to mine it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2891680.0
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin dead? What's happening? on: May 07, 2019, 07:52:33 AM
Litecoin is far from been dead ,believe me its never going to happen ,litecoin is one of the oldest coins out there and it survive till date for some reasons ,we have few updates this year alone ,atleast it shows that the team still supports it ,my question is hope you aren't holding only litecoin?

Litecoin have recovered heavily, just like Bitcoin.
I'm using the graph for the 3 months statistics, and we can see that the lowest price was $33 (rounded off),
while the current price is $77, we can tell there's a major improve and it's over 100%.

Looking at the above, IT'S NOT DEAD>  Grin
It's not dead on the hype and its price but if we can see that from the fundamental of litecoin and it looks like a dead coin. No utility usage and it becomes an experimental coin to implement any solution that will be implemented to the bitcoin protocol.
https://blokt.com/news/litecoin-just-a-glorified-testnet-of-btc-charlie-lee-wont-take-it-lying-down-fires-back-at-novogratz
People are interesting to buy it caused by the hype of bitcoin too and remember this one looks better rather than any other bitcoin fork coins.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Brave browser on: May 07, 2019, 07:31:48 AM
I heard about this browser to when some made a post on the thread about a browser mining project but seeing the actual bravo browser I am convince that there is no similarities between the 2 project.

I like bravo browser due to its speed that can help with downloads and streaming, it shall be more beneficial when BAT earning opportunity is implemented.

bavo browser ?  i dont heard of that before but i think i agree on you that bravo and brave browser are both different because brave browser have some kind of a reward and a built in ad block feature while bravo browser is only a normal browser but its faster ( like what you said )   but you can still use both browser to be able to earn some bat and to experience a good browsing experience  at the same time  .
I didn't never hear if there was a similar browser of brave browser. it looks like you are only mistyping the name of brave browser because if you tried to search that on internet and the name will always be related with brave browser. Pleas you should not mind people above you because he is the same like you and he was mistyping the name of brave into the bravo browser and that kind of browser never exist.

I mean it's just chromium with an ad blocker, just use firefox with extensions it's much better

No, it's not. Brave Browser uses a unique approach for blocking ads.

Quoted from https://www.computerworld.com/article/3292619/the-brave-browser-basics-what-it-does-how-it-differs-from-rivals.html

Quote
By eliminating ads and ad trackers, Brave downloads much less content from a website than any browser sans an ad blocking extension. ... By eliminating ad trackers, Brave blocks efforts by advertisers to first identify users, then follow those users. That makes Brave users more anonymous...

Futhermore, Brave is shipped with Tor. All is included in the browser without any extra extension.
Is that mean if brave already used or merged with Tor network?
