741  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 13, 2021, 10:02:13 PM
Banking institutions would never give ROI that we get on bitcoin and crypto. We are fortunate to know the crypto space and now that large institutions are investing in bitcoin it is changing the course of things.

Many wonder about the correction of bitcoin but I think it will not happen. The most prominent advocates of bitcoin are leaving their jobs to focus on bitcoin alone. Others buy more bitcoin so it makes me feel more secure in this stage of bitcoin and thus altcoins are also appreciating due to the bitcoin effect and also because users can check the solutions they provide and thus gain preference in the market.
742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apple is buying Bitcoin on: February 13, 2021, 09:39:50 PM
This is a good alliance between Apple Pay and BitPay that will allow cardholders to buy from the store. I wish that the commissions in these applications were not so expensive at the time of making the transactions because the effect would be negative for the crypto users.

If we have resorted to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies precisely to avoid the cost of traditional transactions and other inconveniences. That would be the only observation I have, it is generally nice news to more payment instruments for crypto users, better is the competition.

743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Future? on: February 13, 2021, 08:32:42 PM
In my country, Venezuela, very few businesses accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment because it is just being introduced in the main cities of the country thanks to a company that works as a payment gateway called Cryptobuyer. https://twitter.com/cryptobuyer/

The cryptocurrencies most used by customers are Dash, BUSD, XRP for having the cheapest fees.
The future of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies I see promising in my country and anywhere in the world.

The success of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is decentralization, so much has been the influence that traditional markets realized that we have preferred the crypto space that are making substantial changes in their institutions as we have seen in banking and governments.
744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving , and its Effects on: February 13, 2021, 07:48:31 PM
As the price of bitcoin reaches the highest levels, the altcoins tend to revalue, coupled with it if they show some progress in their mission they also improve in the market capitalization.
As OP says the halving of 2020 produced effects. An awakening has occurred and traditional markets have probably realized that they shouldn't wait to join bitcoin.

The global economy is printing so institutions seek the protection of their capital in bitcoin.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: February 13, 2021, 07:11:56 PM
I think that the price of bitcoin will not drop to the minimum as in the past.
As more institutions join bitcoin that possibility is unlikely. The time to invest may be now there is a positivism in bitcoin which means that while there is more interest, the bitcoin strengthens.
Take a look at this tweet from
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez:

Quote
Exploring:

• State legislative priority
• Paying employees in Bitcoin
• Investing City treasury in Bitcoin

We got it done ✅

746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin before and now on: February 13, 2021, 04:29:24 PM
The most notorious difference from the bitcoin bull run from 2017 to the current one is the Global pandemic that forces us to reinvent and value the resources we have to be able to face the economic situation and prepare for the future.

So we have turned to Bitcoin and not ICOs.
We decided to HODL and accumulate, if we realize the trading has not been the one to dominate.
Institutions have more participation in the purchase of bitcoin than consumers resulting in volatility decreasing.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I messed up and feel terrible about it on: February 13, 2021, 12:36:05 PM
The good thing about this experience is that you are using your best "plan b" so it has calmed you down. The opinion of the experts is that it is never too late to invest in bitcoin. In a joking way I tell you if Elon Musk took a little time to invest while he took care of the dog because we can't do it now. There is a significant capital in bitcoin that will fortunately give it the strength that we have wanted so much and we will probably never again see the price of bitcoin at the historical lows of the past.

748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z to allocate 500 BTC to Bitcoin dev on: February 12, 2021, 11:59:30 PM
Impressive initiative! Bitcoin is not only to fill the bags and protect capital. It also allows the creation of missions of great value and impact such as this trust for bitcoin development funds.
Jack is a great bitcoin ambassador and I am happy that he chose Africa and India as the focus of the plan.
It is an incredible call to pool ideas to make the bitcoin network more valuable.
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Journey : Doubling my BTC investment on: February 12, 2021, 11:35:00 PM
This thread is good for telling anyone that it is never too late to invest in bitcoin. As it also does not matter how much you invest, the important thing is that you do not stay out because the time has come for bitcoin.

Some hope to earn their profit and sell it. I would recommend that only you sell what you need and the rest of the bitcoin that you continue to be your investment.
Bitcoin is our present and our future for which we must be bold.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Heroes of Bitcoin - A thanks to the many good people. on: February 12, 2021, 11:12:52 PM
Thanks OP for this thread. But I feel like you are missing other personalities who have also contributed to the expansion of bitcoin.

Charlie Shrem
Almost 10 years ago I discovered #bitcoin and made a conscious decision to make it my life’s work. I had a vision that if we created a financial system that didn’t require permission to join, it would completely change how humans work together. Satoshi would be proud of us all.

Charlie Lee
His Twitter cover of him says it all.

Plan B
His analysis and support for bitcoin has been very valuable on Twitter. Anyone who reads this tweet knows how to interpret how convinced he is in bitcoin.

BREAKING ... I quit my job (PlanA) and start focusing on #bitcoin (PlanB) full time as of March 1st! 😎

Jack

Dan Held

Michael Saylor
Michael Saylor is a major investor who with so little time joining bitcoin has worked hard to get more investors to join like he did.
As you know this was the response that he shared with Elon Musk.

If you want to do your shareholders a $ 100 billion please, convert the $ TSLA balance sheet from USD to #BTC. Other firms on the S&P 500 would follow your lead & in time it would grow to become a $ 1 trillion favor.

...

And others that escape me.
751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa - Did you all miss this? on: February 12, 2021, 11:11:06 AM
Visa happened to it the same as PayPal after noticing that there is a huge wave that Bitcoin brings and cryptocurrencies logically had no choice but to join it. It was like risking loss or having the competition do it first. The technology business is to reinvent itself and sustain itself over time.

The statistics do not lie for Visa, it is notorious that there is a great growth in the use of crypto by people around the world and since it is not participating, it has no choice but to plan to incorporate bitcoin in its services.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 12, 2021, 10:41:15 AM
I believe that by placing #bitcoin in his bio, the Mexican businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego is responding to the community that he also belongs to it and is convincing 100% of his support. All these investors have to bet on the success of bitcoin and they know that bitcoin belongs to the community.

Another important announcement was the one that made plan b on Twitter.

With that we can realize that there is a great responsibility to bring bitcoin to the largest possible public and safeguard it as a treasure.
753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's not a good rise, actually it's bad on: February 12, 2021, 10:11:52 AM
The approach that OP has presented is interesting. While the events around Elon Musk were passing, I had also noticed the charismatic leadership that he possesses.

It should be noted that Elon Musk with his style is defined as transformational, he knows as a leader that he has a great role in directing his ideas to success.

My thought that his decisions were not made free will they were made after being studied and were approved because they are totally viable.

The best that his decisions were made by joining the ideals of another man of science such as Michael Saylor. There was no selfishness, there was a great consensus in favor of the future of the generalized economy that will benefit everyone.

Because now we are a great active community that is manifesting and Elon Musk as a leader is passionate about interacting with the masses.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBER will start to transact with Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2021, 11:32:06 PM
I like this news. Because when Uber entered the market it was on a mission to innovate and satisfy a great demand from users.

In the same way it is happening now with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies offer us the solution where banks have been limited.

If Uber needs a reform this is the time. Michael Saylor's call to corporations has taken effect. Elon Musk, Tesla, Visa and others are definitely driving businesses to invest their capital in bitcoin. It is the right way because there is a new awakening in the economy and technology deserves a true transformation.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami To Start Paying Salaries In Bitcoin Soon on: February 06, 2021, 11:40:51 PM
I admire the determination of Major Francis Suarez of the City of Miami. How much I would like his interest in Bitcoin to spread in the minds of rulers around the world.
They are the first steps to know the results, I think it is positive. Miami is a smart mega city with an emporium of tourist attractions and after this pandemic it is logical to plan substantial changes that allow an accelerated recovery.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter founder interest in Bitcoin on: February 06, 2021, 11:08:13 PM
Jack is a huge proponent of Bitcoin. Of course every one of his tweets that talks about bitcoin is a good support and influences the opinion of the community.
Jack is a technology man and knows the great potential that Bitcoin has to drive technological advancement in any corner of the world where Bitcoin is found.
The call for adoption is inevitable and we have to be in this movement together because the time for Bitcoin is now.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Banks To Close Accounts Involved with Crypto on: February 06, 2021, 09:33:55 PM
Sometimes there are rulers who do not act with sanity as in this case. You are right what the Nigerian government will do when Visa offers bitcoin on its services as recently announced. I think the government has bad advisers, the measures are too rigid by banning bitcoin to Nigerians.

If in the world we are the majority who have not banned Bitcoin, it is because the majority is right. Why are governments as radical as Nigeria?

The 4 reason according to this Nigerian media for not accepting bitcoin. 👇

Quote
Cryptocurrency has been banned in Nigeria, China, Bolivia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Morocco and Iran.

That pride! forgive my discontent.  Undecided
758  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 06, 2021, 08:41:51 PM
Banks need to admit their defeat and let their clients have these very simple things:
  • No restrictions when moving fiat in/out of exchanges: my money in the bank, my rules, if I want to buy crypto that's my business not theirs
  • Insured custody of crypto holdings for investment, inheritance and so on
  • Collateralized loans where I can lend/borrow against my holdings
If they don't offer these services new fintech companies like Nexo, BlockFi, neo banks like SEBA/Sygnum, will eat their crypto-friendly user base.
The battle is over, they lost. We need banking services to unlock the full power of our crypto with no hassles.

Agree. In addition I think that banks would have to evolve and greatly to offer the services that we can currently enjoy with Nexo, BlockFi as examples.
Sadly when we prefer crypto than banks they are not stepping up to innovation and lagging behind. One solution could be as OP says that banks need bitcoin to restructure and offer us the services that we are already experiencing. And so all together we contribute to supporting our economy in any corner of the world.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: February 06, 2021, 08:27:39 PM
Fiat was created so that people could market their goods and services safely and efficiently. Banks tried to offer the best service but from the moment users realized that their demands were not being met, they turned to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Inflation has been a major trigger that has allowed individuals and institutions to prefer bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
With bitcoin and crypto there is no problem that governments will take control of your money because the best feature they have is decentralization.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cz taking advantage of the Nigerian government ban on bitcoin wrongly. on: February 06, 2021, 07:59:14 PM
Thanks for this thread, dear admin. Whenever I hear any news related to Nigeria. I am very interested in what is happening in your country and I feel in solidarity with the problems that you suffer. In addition to knowing that Nigerians have played an important role in adopting bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as the solution to their economy.

Regarding CZ, the invitation is to convert NGN to crypto soon. But the problem for the Nigerian is that they will not be able to exchange NGN / crypto when the measure takes effect, that is why they must act soon. I have my doubts because the government can find a way to identify the accounts that trade with crypto. CZ says his P2P exchange is safe. "?"

It is honestly a sad decision that the Nigerian government has made. I wish that these new measures do not continue their course and that they are annulled.
