It already did and check Bitfinex guys, price of bitcoin there is $6,200 which is ahead of $200 from the rest. While other exchange seen bitcoin @$5,940 and that's totally close to $6,000.  Bitfinex price is not a good indication as far as I know. Perhaps people are selling their Tether and moving funds to bitcoins so that they can get out that's why the price is at a premium, so not a good indication of bitcoin prices right now. And if you looked at https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bitfinex/, it has an * on the BTC/USD, denoting that coinmarketcap is excluding its prices. So officially we haven't get to touch $6k. there was only a little gap to the 6k rate and it will be so easy to be reached. The whole of bitcoin markets is still having less than a hundred dollars before it can break 6k rate. I have used bitstamp as an indicator and it looks like we will get another green candle tomorrow. With this news and it has already confirmed if people are selling their USDT for bitcoin https://news.bitcoin.com/new-york-prosecutors-demand-transparency-from-bitfinex-and-tether/bitfinex and tether being targetted by prosecutors. that should be a good reason why more people will try to buy BTC. |

I read few posts today and people keep talking about IEO losing price well here is my own thought
1)IEO projects from popular exchanges are safe and not scam and thats what matters most
2)just because its IEO don't expect quick profits ,they tend to drop in price and that doesn't mean they won't recover at least
What IEO fix is 'getting scammed' and not always profits for investors, thats why I keep telling people not to rely on exchanges only ,just because an IEO is from popular exchange you still need to do research on the project yourself to at least understand what they are introducing
But have you tried to create a comparison between IEO that runs on the major exchange site with IEO that also created on the medium tier like bittrex? i guess you will know the differences. Basically, the major exchange site has been doing very strict verification before they will try to list IEO. I never seen any IEO that runs on binance were traded below the ico price after listing and compared with bittrex that makes investors lost a lot of money on its first IEO and then we know the differences. |

I was looking at some POS coins and some people suggested VEIL (POS/POW), it's apparently a new privacy-based coin.

Officially Bittrex does not ask for any fee for registration in their exchange, but we cannot be sure of this, because we do not know what really happens behind the scenes. Back in the topic, it seems that the IEOs promoted by Bittrex fail to break through like those on Binance and other exchanges; even Ocean at the moment does not seem to have great success, and in fact after about 3 days from the beginning of the offer it has collected "only" 90% of what is offered. Is the IEO season over, even before it starts? Believe me when OCEAN IEO will over and investor will lose at least 10% - 20%. An IEO before ocean has been telling the investors if IEO that runs on bittrex is not having a lot of potential. GTX1660Ti is only 17 sol/s, for these cards x16r algo is the best. GTX1050Ti gives about 8-9 sol/s - very good result.

Yes crpto scam is a global issue since cryptocurrency are global currencies but the fact is before we have agency that will help in the tracking and preventing this occurrence it have to go through the government and as we all know no country have fully accepted cryptocurrency as a legal currency within they jurisdiction.
Well, we can't say fully but there are a lot of countries that already accepted Bitcoin in their country, well to be exact, legalized Bitcoin in their country. But the fact that there are a lot of exchanges that are being hacked, we can't be sure how much this will affect the people around it to use Bitcoin. Crimes regarding these will increase for sure so as a user of it, we should be wary of it and be knowledgeable about how we could protect out Bitcoins from these hackers and scammers. If you need a real example and i can give you one right now about how the hacked case of exchange site will give a negative impact to the bitcoin. If you remember the last week drop in bitcoin and it caused by the hacked case combined with tether and bitfinex scandal that already happened and this time bitfinex has fallen. Remember about crypto has used encryption that attracts scammers. They get real-time encryption and consider anything in the crypto encrypted by SHA256. Someone above you may be wrong about the agency that can help to track and prevent it because it's too difficult without any help from the 3rd party like exchange site to track it. IEO isn't bad, but the road is too excessive. Remember this could be a new way for scammers to commit fraud. we still have to be vigilant and don't trust too much even if it's in a big exchange though.
IEO is a hype investment lately but it is difficult to invest there because the duration is quite short, if you want to buy better, just wait when the token can be opened in the trade.
I also hope that the IEO will now tackle scammers but I am sure the IEO in the big exchange will become big investors to rise again. IEO in big exchange site looks manipulated by the exchange site itself. AltCoins are raising money using IEO or Initial Exchange Offering. It started out good, but since we have 100s of exchanges and all of them have started launching IEOs, it's starting to get messy like ICOs. What do you guys think?
Personally, I am a big supporter of crowd-funding as a source of startup capital as long as its done responsibly. I invest on Start Engine and Republic and I see crappy project on those platforms too. I just wish the Exchanges will do some due diligence before launching an IEO.

So I noticed I've been forcefully invited by bots into multiple telegram community which I never wanted to join.. and most of these communities are either ponzi schemes or from #icos which claim to be legit companies with one or two things to offer in the crypto space..

In my opinion, mass adoption should have some indicators before it happens. If people agree to shop with the crypto then it will be easy to accept the crypto payments by others.
But the problem is when crypto can be considered as stock. We must have a crypto that will be used as payment. Some people are understanding if crypto looks similar with asset or stock. that will be a bit difficult to change that opinion. |
