743  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: May 05, 2014, 08:09:28 PM
Good day to all miners,

I purchased my first AntMiner S1 & got it work smoothly but my problem is I'm having a too high HW & more rejections.

Is this normal? or I'm having a misconfiguration? Any suggestions to lower my HW ratio?

What's your percentage?  Don't feel like calculating.  Also look at ways to cool it down.  50C is high for stock setting.

Actually - that's not too bad.  The S1's they are selling now seem to have more HW issues than the early S1's.
Other than adding a rear fan or finding a cooler room, the only thing you can do is lower the freq.  And that's often counter productive.
744  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group,Round 7]2550$ and 2450$ ! Sales promotion of dragon 1T miner on: May 05, 2014, 07:57:58 PM
how do I modify the config/startup file to change the clock speed on these?  I have one of the boards that is getting a lot of hardware errors, so I would like the option of downclocking that one board, and/or downclocking the entire unit to see if I can fix this.  Anyone have an idea on the location of the cgminer.conf or whatever file holds the startup info for cgminer for these?

This may have changed, but I think it's a closed system.
745  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group,Round 7]2550$ and 2450$ ! Sales promotion of dragon 1T miner on: May 04, 2014, 01:37:47 AM
I'm in the US but also have it set to the uk pool for ghash.io.  It is much more stable although it does go funky every 4-5 days.  But for no fee I'll take it.  BTCGuild is the only one I have used that never, ever went down.  Eligius is a trip.  Not sure why it's so popular.  You have to wait forever to get your coin.  Just not my thing.
I have one Dragon and it's in the 920-980 Gh/s range usually.  My Antiminer S2 is faster.  So I don't think I'm going to get another.  At least not at these prices.  I'm at 8.5 Th/s and that might be the most I get.  Only getting about .5 btc a day as it is.

While I think this looks very interesting, there is one thing I can't reconcile. I've see the two-chip
NanoFury units, and as I recall, the expected power draw is about 1 Amp. This design has 3x the
number of ASIC's and only a 20% increase in power draw? How can that be?

Chips are underclocked to achieve the 11 gh/s.  They have to be because there is not enough juice in a USB to overclock more than 2 bitfury chips.
That's why you need 6 of them to get to 11 Gh/s.  When 2 overclocked can do 5 Gh/s.

How many discount coupon gives?
Huh?
750  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.63 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 25, 2014, 04:56:06 AM
How soon do these units usually arrive to the US after placing an order?
I just might make my next purchases from BitmainTech but receiving the equipment in a timely manner is more important than saving a few $$.

Thanks!

They always ship 2 Day International. Which is really 3 days, but it's fast as hell for China. The question is when will they have it to ship. Their site says "will ship in 48 hours or less."  So max is 5 days.

I still run 2 rigs with open spots. I would be interested in trying 2 out, depending on the price.
How many GH/s per board?
753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.63 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 25, 2014, 03:20:41 AM
Well I have a few 1300W and a few smaller PSU's collecting dust.  I thought I had ordered my last S1 but at this price it makes sense(for me).
754  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Assembly Service for BitFury Rev.2 Chips - Assessing Interest, USB Miners on: April 24, 2014, 10:19:10 PM
Parts and PCB prices are in.  Waiting on Assembly pricing.  Hope to have the final cost per miner by tomorrow and will post.  Smiley

04/24/2014 UPDATE

$68 per miner is the final cost the NF6.  Again we did not have enough interest in the NF2 so we are only building the NF6.

This includes parts, pcb manufacturing, assembly and shipping.  Does not include BitFury chips or Heat Sink.  If you need guidance on the Heatsink we can help you with that by posting ones we are confident will work well.
If you want to see the final assembly diagram send me a PM.  I don't want to post it.

Payment is a simple calculation of the # of miners you want times (x) $68.

We are going to put a time limit on payments so we can get this group started quickly.  All payments must be in by MAY 1 - one week from today.

Payment can be made by BTC or Bank Wire.
For BTC please use the Coinbase exchange rate at the time of payment and send coins to 16SnTjcEYT1EdQsBRCF9XKmKoXm8RuuGGo
Then send me a PM with the following:
     Your Name
     Shipping Address
     Email
     Phone number
     Quantity ordering

I will confirm receipt.

To use bank wire please PM for the instructions.

758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 23, 2014, 11:32:20 PM
My batch 2 has consistently run between 986 Gh and 1.03 Th/s.
And yes, half the blades were completely dislodged from the back plane.  Shocked

EDIT:  My Dragon runs at 963 Gh and never hits 1 Th/s.

Bitmain - we have had a great relationship for the past few months.  Sadly, it looks like it's ending.
You are no longer competitive given the S2's fragility and high price.  There are better options that are built more solidly and don't cost as much.
But I'll keep watching.  Hopefully you come to market with a product as great as the S1's were for their time.
